My wife and I travel a lot but I swear this is for the first time we've experienced such an extraordinary level of hospitality. The great sensation started mounting once in 3 days prior to our arrival we got an SMS from Fatima, the landlady and manager, who inquired about our arrival time to get the room ready. Once we arrived, we were truly overwhelmed by Fatima and Colo's heartfelt hospitality: there were higs as if we had been friends for years, and a shot of a local porto as a welcome treat, and a "study tour" around the room, and a detailed guidance on the city with the use of the map. When we were leaving, it was as if we were leaving our own family! Now to more practical things: the room is spacious, truly sterile and well equipped with all the amenities; the bed is supercomfy. Ou room faced the backyard so it was quite- cannot vouch the same as far as rooms facing the street but except for rush hours there are very few cars passing by. The kitchen had literally everything- from pans to utensils to cutlery- all new, clean and easy to use. A mini-closet was great to hang our clothes, and open shelves were good to put all the necessities. A small couch was super comfy to relax while a table for two was great to take meals. The walk-in shower was sterile and easy to use with a great pressure and hot water at all times. The toilet suprclean and a small basin with a shelf quite comfortable to put some toiletry. The aircon in the room should work as a cooler and a heater (while we were there the temeparture was just fine not to use it at all). The breakfast was of a great quality and abundant for a continental one and all my special dietary needs were met with much attention. The hotel is situated within 3 blocks from the main shopping and walking area, and the neighborhood is absolutely safe to walk aroud at night. There are a copuple of grocerises down the road, with pleanty of eaterise o the main shopping street.
Literally nothing. Superb!
Calo and Fatima were amazing. From the check-in till the end of our stay they provided great recommendations. It felt like we were be looked after by old friends. The accommodations were well appointed and spacious. Easy to access everything in the city. Highly recommend.
Everything was perfect
Lovely hosts welcomed us as friends into the bright and spacious apartment. Because of their hospitality and extra care everything was deemed with positivity straight away. The room has it all: small kitchen, spacious bathroom, dining place and airy bedroom room with lots of windows thus natural light. Amazing breakfast that was brought to the room at a specific time comprised tea/coffee, fresh, lots of fruit and pastry - just what we needed during a short stay in Porto.
not a criticism, but a room for improvement - double bed was a bit small and squeaky for us two, maybe upgrading to at least Queen size and a good mattress would be a good idea.
The hosts Fatima and Cal couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast delivered to our room each morning had a wonderful selection of fruit, rolls and cakes/pastries. The room itself was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Fatima and Cal were so friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. It was a wonderful place to stay , thank you.
Nothing at all.
