10.0 Excellent
Pros: Silvia would go out of her way to make you feel genuinely at home and welcome!
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice room, clean, good location, nice balcony and garden, they gave me a free late checkout.
Cons: Not so great breakfast with extra charge without prior notice, no credit card accepted. Both things are noted in confirmation e-mail but I think they should say it also when you arrive. Lady is trying to be too nice but for me it was a way too overwhelming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easily accessible by car, great location when visting Portorož or Piran. Very friendly owner, who goes beyond her duty as a host in order to make your stay as pleasant as possible. (Make sure she knows your breakfast preferences - she’ll make them happen.) The room was very cozy, neatly decorated, functional, and impecably clean. The balcony opens up to a lovely view of the bay, but it also offers shade from the blazing sun.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Silvia, the owner of the house, is a very nice, friendly person also takes into account special wishes of the guest. The room was nicely furnished and very clean, and the balcony with views is luxurious. The breakfast was very tasty and in overall it was a superb stay.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. The location, staff, champagne as a welcome drink & ofcourse the delicious breakfast in the small cute dining room. Am definetly coming back.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast. Quiet but very good location between Piran and Portoroż. The beach is very close to 50m in front of the building. Quite empty on the beach as for July. A good restaurant is next to 100m. Sufficient room decor. Nice bathroom. Parking for 9EUR / 24h also close to 100m. WiFi works well. Thank you Katja for a great holiday and preparing delicious breakfasts. Possibility of staying with a dog.
Cons: The room lacks a small fridge. The price is quite high but the guest house is worth it.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts are quite nice, waiting for our late check in and prepared good breakfast early in the morning.
Cons: None
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was really comfortable and the breakfast in the terrace was really the best! Also the host are really nice and really welcoming!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I adored my stay here! My host was wonderful and welcoming, and recommended walking routes into Piran as well as good restaurant recs. The location was ideal, high up enough to get some stunning sea views but close enough to town that it wasn't far to walk (though coming back was all uphill, so if you struggle with that you might want to get a taxi or something haha). It was also very easy to get down to the sea to go swimming, in a spot away from a lot of the tourists (also recommended by the owner). Because I was the only guest staying at the time, it was all a very relaxed affair. The host left breakfast in a cute little basket on the table in the dining room, and I could pick it up at my leisure. It was easily the best breakfast I had on my trip to Slovenia, with a great spread of food and even a thermos of hot coffee ready to go! I ate it on the balcony connected to my room, and it was so peaceful. Also, the bed was very comfy, and the bathroom was clean and spacious with a great shower. Would absolutely come back here!
Cons: The walk back was tough, but that's just Piran!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Firstly, family is awesome. Really kind and helpful people. They explained surroundings to us, and gave us couple of tips. The apartment was really big, really clean, and had everything that we wanted. There is really enough space for a whole family to be comfortable. The family made us breakfast every morning which was really nice from them. Definitely would recommend.
Cons: It is a bit far from beach, and situated on the hill, so it's quite a walk. But it's not really a problem, you get to know the surroundings and the walk has beautiful view on the open sea. Both Portorož and Piran are 5-10min walk.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great, especially the bed and the free breakfast. Room was very quiet and well air conditioned. The family was very welcoming and gave important info about the beaches etc.
Cons: Coffee could have been stronger
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely host! Very welcoming and lots of extra information about the area and where to eat, walk, beaches, bike,... Nice apartment with kitchen and 2 bedrooms. Bathroom was on the smaller side. Very nice surprise in the morning: small breakfast delivered at the door. Location is perfect: 20-30 minutes walking to either Portoroz or Piran. Airco in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Anna and Walter are great hosts, place is beautiful , very close to city center of Piran (15-20 minutes by walk). In the morning we got basket with breakfast, in which we enjoyed on our balcony. We will come back for sure! ;) Tijana & Nemanja
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast, the small breakfast - that we has given for like a gift - was excellent, and lovely. The view to the sea from our room was great. The accomodation had nice atmosphere, quiet and was very clean. The stuff (a couple) was friendly and they thought for everything, for every little details (which is your table, which is your place for the car). The house is very near to the Fiesa beach (15 min on foot), the Piran also (30 min on foot) and Portoroz beach also 10-15 min on foot. The parking is free. They gave a map, that is useful. The communication is quick. We loved this, next occassion we will choose this accomodation, if it's possible.
Cons: The shower cabin would be better (because I had to use very carefully to avoid the water is into the tiles outside), but it is very tiny thing.
7.9 Good
Pros: For shorter stays everything what you need. Parking at the premise, early breakfast available. I had a room with balcony, so having breakfast in the morning on fresh air was very nice. Otherwise there's also breakfast room very you can enjoy your meal. They also have quite substantial book collection in different languages. Don't expect fancy modern furniture, but my room was very clean and bed very comfortable. And this is what I'm after when being away on business trip.
Cons: This area is up on the hill above the coast line. For people with troubles walking this could be a challenge. I didn't have problems with that, since I don't mind doing some walking every day.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Felt like home Kind and welcoming hosts Lovely and simple breakfast basket
Cons: Bed was a little soft

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere, the very helpful staff, the bar with life music..the swimming pool with sea water...its only my opinion: Portoroz does not have a lot to offer, so the stay at this hotel is the best experience of Portoroz!
Cons: The spa area is quite small for the size of this hotel and its quite fresh in the treatment's rooms.
4.2 Okay
Cons: At check in, receptionist claimed that they cannot find our booking despite showing her our booking.com confirmation number and our passports. Called reception to ask if we could have a kettle in the room and was told that it will be delivered. It took reception an hour after 4 calls to inform room service of our request. A pot of hot water instead of a kettle was delivered!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I. Concierge service was excellent as they graciously spent an hour or so with me on the phone PRIOR to arrival and proved just as gracious when I arrived. II. Excellent (and unexpected) almost all bike roughly 4 mile rail to bike/hike only trail from Portoroz to Isola Slovenia. III. Excellent FREE internet as I needed to work each day I was there and almost stayed a week. IV. Great HQ to tour by (A) ferry to (1) Isola, Slovenia (as trips are daily in summer) and (2) Ravinj and Pula in Croatia (weekends and Wednesday only in summer) with Raving being more charming and Pula having 3 Roman sites but more inudustrial; (3) Venice (once per week on Dora BU you may need to stay overnight) (B) car to multiple 30 to 75 minutes short road trips in Slovenia (including gorgeous and captivating Ljubliana) and Istrian peninsula of Croatia. V. Buffet British/American style lavish and tasty breakfast until 12 noon included in price. VI. Large rooms
Cons: air conditioning made room comfortable but it was irritating that theormostat did not work properly and was "off" and needed adjustment BUT room was able to be cooled but needed assistance form help..
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The customer service was exceptional.
Cons: No usb chargers in the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were here for our best anniversary ever. The penthouse suite with the jacuzzi terrace is made for couples looking for quality personal time, and enjoying a private dinner over the bay view with good quality room service was excellent. Would recommend to any couple seeking that little something extra.
Cons: .
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff. Real dedication to the client. Definitely above average in terms of quality of service (I am comparing to hotels of similar standing, obviously). You pay for it... If looking for a place to stay in Portoroz it has also perfect location, being in front of the beach.
Cons: I stayed in the "new building" instead of the "ancient" one: I would have preferred the latter. Room's interiors were not my favourite, but this is personal taste... and I think they were in general above standard for the area.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Paid access to the beach & tired furniture
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing spa and location
Cons: All good
7.5 Good
Pros: Hotel staff and Maid were very friendly and nice Breakfast was really good and various but most of the cooked sausages were not delicious
Cons: The carpet, wooden stair in swimming pool and sauna are very old and worn Pigeons in Terrasse were annoying
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Best location, extra friendly stuff, excelent facilities, spotless clean. With this choice you can’t go wrong.
7.9 Good
Cons: Not possible to fully plack out the room. Hotel looks quite old.

7.1 Good
Pros: Hotel in a convenient location with a nice recent facelift - new, clean and well equipped. Good spa and top quality thai masseuses. Hard trying reception/porter staff. Overall good value for money.
Cons: Staff (especially at breakfast zone) is poorly trained and cannot wakeup in the mornings. Breakfast choice is good but quality is leftovers from socialist past of the region. There is definitely space for improvement.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good selection of breakfast foods and the fresh honey comb was lovely as well as the freshly cooked eggs, we also liked the comfortable beds and sizes of the room. The free parking for guests after peak season
Cons: Fridge was full of drinks which was great but it would also be nice to be able to use the fridge for personal drinks as well.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and comfortable hotel with all the facilities. The staff were really nice
Cons: Breakfast could be improved
9.2 Excellent
Pros: New hotel, big rooms with balcony and sea view. Nice bathroom, minibar and kettle in the room. Good breakfast, but can be better for 5* hotel. Excellent staff members, very polite and helpful, many thanks
Cons: Not all the spa facilities included in the room price (e.g. sauna). The spa/ beach towels were taken after the first use and weren’t replaced (to be honest, we didn’t ask to give as the new ones). Safety deposit box in the room was too small, not for laptop or even iPad
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, service and food. Great staff
Cons: Hotel needs to have more gluten free meals for people alergic to gluten
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Location, massage at Wai Thai
Cons: 1. Water temperature in the shower changes from boiling hot to cold in one position. 2. Air-conditioner in the room was not cooling. 3. Cotton buds & pads were given once and not replaced again. 4. Tissues in the bathroom ran out - had to remind cleaning lady to replenish them. 5. Towels are thin, often so old they have small holes. 6. Room pretty small for 5 stars. 7. At 9am at breakfast, all tables are dirty. When asked to clean one, no serviettes were given. 8. Selection at both breakfast and dinner is poor, quality mediocre, even for 4 stars. 9. Dirty dishes stay on the table for 10 min, sometimes longer - had to put aside. 10. Sofa in the lounge is stained and dirty. 11. Disco with karaoke outside the hotel until 1 a.m.! Too noisy to sleep with an open balcony. 12. Casino display outside is flashing right into the window at night - had to close dark curtains.
6.3 Good
Pros: Rooms are very comfortable, very nice staff at the reception
Cons: It was unbelievable that we couldn‘t have breakfast outside although the weather was very nice! Staff at restaurant wasn‘t very friendly and breakfast was always the same! The food was not what you expect to get in a 5 star hotel!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, we had a lot of choice: from pancakes to different kinds of eggs to freshly squeezed juice. The hotel has a private parking lot and a garage where we could park our bikes we hired during our stay. Exploring the region by bike is something we would definitely recommend. The rooms were perfect: clean, spacious, good bed,.. There is a swimming pool complex in the hotel itself and you can also go to the other swimming pools at the neighbouring hotel. The staff at the front desk welcomed us in a very welcoming way. They made sure we had a pleasant stay: helped us with exploring the neighbourhood and had our car waiting in front of the hotel when we were checking out. They also helped with our luggage at both arrival as departure.
Cons: We were quite disappointed by the staff during breakfast. They were extremely slow and didn’t clear our table. The second morning we had to wait almost ten minutes before they cleaned a table for us, even after asking. Since all tables were stacked with dirty plates we couldn’t sit anywhere. This was pretty annoying. We would have understood if there were a lot of other guests, but there were not.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: extremely reach and big choices during the breakfast. Very kind staff at the reception. Vicinity to the promenade, parking place, etc.
Cons: No idea. Everything was ok.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Once there, everything. The staff is very nice, the house is clean and the view is breathtaking. It's the highest point in Portoroz, it's calm, very well suited for lone travelers or couple and families that like a break and want to rest in a peaceful atmosphere. If I ever come back to Portoroz I would also come here.
Cons: That I didn't check how hard it is to come by walk with a suitcase ☺️
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bedroom was very clean and with a great view. I booked a bed on a dorm but they upgrade without any cost for a private room. Bathroom was clean , there were 2 in my floor and also a share kitchen. Since it's on the top of a hill you will have to climb to reach the hostel . Caria and Adrien are very friendly and helpful.
Cons: I like everything

Cons: we missed the anti-insect doors on the terrace because of the annoying mosquitoes
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view was great and also the breakfast was really good.
Cons: Coffee could have been better...
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and quiet place with fantastic sea view. The distance from the beach or old Piran town is optimal in case you like short to medium walks. Local hostel services + breakfast are more than sufficient. We also appreciated local wine malvazija in reception bar and very friendly hostel staff.
Cons: NA

5.8 Okay
Pros: The room and the bathroom were quite clean and they changed the towels every day.
Cons: The room was full of noises (the fridge, the fan in the bathroom, and some unknown metallic noise coming from above) and the bright light of the WiFi was a bother at night. The water boiler they left for us was not clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kind, attentive, family friendly welcome. Impeccable cleanliness. Good equipment. Wonderful panorama.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner was heartly warm, kind and totaly represents the meaning of the word “Welcome”.

Pros: The room was exactly as in the pictures. The view from the terase was awesome. The host was awesome too!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Big beds, own entrance, veautiful view, pleasent owner
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very hospitable and friendly hosts. Rooms are very clean, comfy and quiet. You can order breakfast in the morning and enjoy it on the terrace with a beautiful sea view! Parking is free and is right in front of the property. The property is 20 minute walk away from Portoroz or Piran, but the way back might be tricky since it's uphill :)
6.7 Good
Pros: The hosts were a lovely couple but with no English there was little communication apart from Hello, thank you and goodbye in Slovenian! This couple are clearly hard working and have a good business but it was not suitable for my stay.
Cons: This was not an apartment, it was a bedsit - huge double bed, fridge in the corner, a small desk and chair and a separate bathroom. There were no cooking facilities. Unfortunately, this room did not face the sun or have a somewhere to sit in the sun.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the house was great, it has free parking in the front and it was a walking distance from Piran.
Cons: The room that we were did not have kitchen but it was only our room and we knew it.
Grand Hotel Bernardin - Portorož - Building

8.9 Excellent (2,935 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Piran, Grand Hotel Bernardin is within a 5-minute drive of Portoroz Beach and Tartinijev Trg. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: You are facing sea and almost on the beach, so enjoy sunsets on the balcony. Few good restaurants close by and On waterfront you will find an excellent path. Very relaxing atmosphere.
Cons: just to be remembered that end of September and beginning of October is the season of jellyfish. Though it is just structured water, when a lot of it swimming is very specific experience
9.0 Excellent
Pros: good venur plenty of choice
Cons: short order chef only did omlettes
7.5 Good
Pros: Great breakfast, nice massage, good view
Cons: Very unsafe for toddlers! My baby could have DIED because on that walk path there is just a drop off ledge with concrete and no barrier! 3 meters drop on hard concrete! Some kids will be seriously hurt or brain damaged. Do not bring a stroller near the 2nd ice cream shop!!! If the brakes don't work your baby is dead!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great. Specially honey and honeycomb :)
Cons: Everything was perfect.
7.5 Good
Pros: The rooms have been refurbished recently and are very nice. Everythings is new, the lights are great. The bathroom is beautiful and was clean. The beach is quite small, so you have to go down early in the morning and put out your towel on the sunbed to reserve it basically. They offer towel cards for the beach but these run out quickly so you better take your own towel. The restaurant is huge, they have a great selection of food. They also have various bars and a cafe on the roof top so you can enjoy a drink after dinner.
Cons: We booked a double room on booking.com. The pricing was different for the double room and the twin room. Once we paid in the confirmation email it said it will be a double or twin room upon availability. We received a twin room upon arrival. When we asked they said that they only have one floor of double rooms as they are more like a conference hotel. Then we asked why are they advertising it if they don't have the availability? The price for the double rooms is higher so it's not fair. At the end the receptionist agreed to move us to a double room on the second day so it was sorted.
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was excellent.
Cons: The aircondition did not function. The room smelled of mildew, a health hazard which the hotel could not or would not fix. Except for early risers beach lounges were not available because guests choose to reserve lounges by placing towels and/or clothings on the lounges and than took of for other activities liked breakfast etc. A situation which unfortunately is common on cruise ships.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location , pool , beach .
Cons: Diner , gym
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, service was great. VIP section at the beach was a luxury. Food was great for adults. Kids pool at neighboring hotel (which we had access to) was enjoyable.
Cons: Not the best fit for young children. Rocky beach, and salt water pools were ok, but not ideal. Not great food options for toddlers.
7.1 Good
Cons: we have asked for a quiet family room which to our surprise was a room in the lowest 1st floor vis a vis a beach bar playing music all day till 8-9pm. One night there was even a party and noisy music from the bar was disturbing way beyond midnight. After our complain at reception they did stop only after another hour.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: a wonderful view
Cons: 1. we had problems with the air condition the whole time 2. we were on the first floor and didnt have a godd view,
5.4 Okay
Pros: The views from the upper rooms(which we got last time) -amazing Staff in rooftop bar Grand caffe and that view-the best Location-Slovenian Istria is beautiful, find better options to stay :)
Cons: Not my first time here but probably will not be coming back. Let's start with the room, please do not buy rooms which are marked with small print "ground floor only" - you will never be upgraded without paying tons of money (they asked for 1k eur more) to upper floor and you'll end up listening to motorbikes, delivery vehicles and rude people yelling on the pronenade starting from early morning. The beach-it is basically a public beach, so all sorts of people take the sunchairs and space for free (from surrounding accomodations) while you, as a paying customer (and boy the prices!) end up being harrased by them and not being able to find a spot on the beach. Terrible. When we asked not to have dinner there (we wanted to enjoy the beach until 20. 00h when all the freeloaders left.,and were constantly late for dinner which starts closing 20.55h and you had to swallow your meals as quick as you can) and downgrade to b&b- their compensation suggestion was to give us a coupon worth 7 eur per adult (and we are a family of 4!) so we ended up eating out and spent tons of money more. Overall, terrible customer relationship and crazy overpriced.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property had such a comfortable bed and the room was quite big! We had a nice and calm stay in a stylish hotel.
Cons: The parking was not the best, but can take that 10 EUR even though we just parked next to the road in the hotel’s territory.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is amazing. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Doors in the bathroom and in the shower make extremely annoying creaking noise.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I liked almost everything, the hotel facilities are excelent. What I liked the best is the water fountain in front of the hotel with beautiful (!) music. Amazing!
Cons: I missed a bidet in the bathroom
10.0 Excellent
Cons: BREKFAST IS THE SAME IN EVERY DAY.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like big spacious room. Very kind personnel and tasty breakfast. Very nice hotel near to the beach.
Cons: Strange access by car. It culd be better marked.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The offer for breakfast was rich. Even for somebody who does not prefer meat, or has some intolerance (lactose, gluten) Hotel has a great location. The public beaches are close to the hotel. If any mood to visit the public beaches, hotel has very good own pool. All stuff was very helpful and kind.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast has a variety of different choices, but the quality of food is low. Location of the hotel is good and the concierges were the most pleasant people in the hotel.
Cons: Lady worked on the cooking area was extremely unpleasant. When I said that I will wait fresh egg as she was just cooking them she started to be rude and offending as I didn't want to take already prepared sunny side on. I didn't want to take prepared eggs as I got them cold with my recent stay in the hotel app one month ago. I still feel so offended with her loud taking, that I will not come ever again in this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, you can cycle in Piran around the coast. Warm welcome and upgrade to a suite which was a great way to finish our trip. Beautiful views of the sunset from the balcony.

Cons: Nothing negative to mention.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very cosy room with balcony with garden views. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Nothing.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Hmm, it's not far from sea, but "beach" is on camping site, and private parking are good if you travel by car, which we were.
Cons: Well, to begin with, it's the price. When you're asked to pay 200 for night, you're expecting some kind of comfort. Bed was comfortable, but it was not in good shape. Like whole room (except balcony door), everything is in desperate need for renovation. Walls are dirty, furniture is damaged, and i cannot say that room was clean. I would not recommend this place for any of my friends. btw, breakfast could have more fresh fruits and veggies.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast; variety of local products, fresh omelette if wanted, very kind and helpful staff. The hotel is clean and well designed, and most importantly you can pet their dog!!!
Cons: The mattresses could have been of better quality. This includes the main bed and the extra bed we got for the third member.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Bus station was very close, easy to catch a bus to Piran. Nice & friendly staff in the hotel, big balcony was great. For swimming it was easiest to use the nearby Lucija auto camp. Breakfast until 11:00 and check out till 12:00 is very appreciated if you have small kids.
Cons: Adjucent door to the next room was my concern but the sound was blocked pretty well.

Cons: Hard to find and charge for parking.
6.7 Good
Pros: - clean and spacious rooms and bathroom. - Very good breakfast.
Cons: The checking in process was very difficult, I had to go to other hotel to check in and then go to my hotel. - Enering and leaving my hotel was very difficult, especially through the parking garage, I had to take stairs and two elevators to reach my room. - Elevators were old and smells bad. - A/C was very hot. - I really didn't like my stay there.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast and dinner, nice stuff, comfortable beds and excellent bathroom. We had no problem :)
Cons: Controlling of air condition was not so friendly
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice room with sea view and balcony, very quiet accommodation, comfortable beds, rich breakfast, towel service and free sunbeds by the pool on the beach
Cons: Parking EUR 15 per night, more difficult way from garage to room (partly stairs)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, facilities, pools, surrounding, food
Cons: Tha swimming pool is great, but the exit towards to the beach was closed, so I always have to climb the fence if I wanted to swim in the sea. The hotel should solve this problem (I understand they want to have only their guests around the pool) with a suitable checking system instead closing the exit.
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice place, good location, friendly staff
Cons: I indicated well before arrival that my 4 year old is on a gluten-free diet, answer was that it is not a problem, they are well prepared. During the first breakfast I asked for gluten-free bread, they brought me an open package of Schar bread which expired two months ago... The drawer where this came from was full with other Schar bakeries, most of them also expired... On a positive note, when I complained, they brought a new package of bread from the kitchen. During dinner allergens in food are clearly indicated everywhere, but the dessert shelf. When I alsed whether the ice-cream is gluten-free, one cook said, yes, no problem. The other one said he needs to check on the box and then said it isn’t clear, we’d better not take it. We ended up eating Panna Cotta every evening as the only gluten-free dessert option at a 5 star hotel...

Pros: Terrific room, great views, helpful staff and very comfortable.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.

7.0 Good
Pros: nice staff, good food and close to the beach and city center
Cons: lunch hour is a little bit narrow in means of time (only from 19 till 20:30). I would prefer a possibility to have supper till 22:00.

Pros: There is no internet connection in the rooms you have to go to the hotel next door (the same company to be connected. The tv doesn't work all the time and there are no international channels. But, the hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly
4.4 Okay
Pros:
Cons: No easy access to the hotel, the baggage has to be carried up the stairs to get to the reception. This hotel belongs to Metropol chain hotels. Metropol Hotel is 5 star and is situated 50 meters from Roza hotel. All activities you can get in Metropol hotel and not in Roza hotel. Breakfast is served in this hotel, but dinner is served also in Metropol hotel. They should write down explanation.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice territory, hospitable host
Cons: Small parking place
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Our apartment was spacious, clean, well-equipped, worth mentioning is above all a huge garden with wonderful view right to the sea coast and beautiful landscape around. The only point that would might cause inconvenience for those who are partially disabled or travel with small children is a bit more steep hill on the way to the beach, however our kids did overcome it succesfully.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostess/owner is very kind and always ready to help. The apartment is great: large, very clean and well-equipped. The location is perfect: the beach (Portorož and Piran as well) within walking distance. The sea-view is more than beautiful. If we go to Slovenia again, we will not choose other place, for sure.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: -Cozy and clean apartment. -Friendly host -free parking
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Located on top of the hill - you have a great view on the bay. Big garden where you can sunbathe (sunbeds for you use are available), grill or enjoy a glass of wine. 30-40 mins walk to Piran which is a must see. Parking on premises. Very clean. Helpful host.
Cons: The room we stayed in was a bit smaller, though still ok. We weren't charged directly via booking.com after the reservation, but were asked to pay on spot. Having this automated would be much more convenient. Located on top of the hill (as many other estates) so coming home from the town is a bit harder
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hosts, ready to help. Lovely courtyard for drinking morning coffee, sea view gorgeous
Cons: because of the problems with the car we could not park in the facility itself, but the hosts provided us with an accessible parking space
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view from the terrace. Very nice host and family atmosphere. We had a great time there.

7.9 Good
Cons: Internet was very unstable and we had to use our mobile roaming to receive emails, etc
4.2 Okay
Pros: Das Schwimmbad war gut aber ein bisschen rutschig.
Cons: Ich werde in Englisch schreiben. This hotel deserves to go bankrupt. I have stayed in numerous hotels and Pensions the last few years and this was the worst ever and I mean ever. They deserve to lose their stars. The personnel in the hotel seem to be working scared and were rarely helpful. There are many hidden costs and the food in the evening is only meant for people who have lost their taste for food. The desserts were thawed out cheap cake bought from a cheap store somewhere and are unfit for a so called four star hotel. There are no internal maps for the hotel complex and it is very hard to find your way to any massage appointments. I informed the reception and the restaurant that I would like to speak with a manager but they never forwarded my request. I never saw one manager. There were no handouts available for what to see in the near and no local maps from the surrounding area either. If this hotel is worried about competition, they should be. If I was the owner of this place and realized how bad it is, I would fire the manager and hire people who care about their guests. This is not a Slovenia problem but a Hotel Apollo problem. This hotel should be ashamed of itself and I personally hope that it goes bankrupt unless they change course and start to put the customer first. The restaurant deserves absolutely no stars and the food should be given to the seagulls flying around the hotel every day. The walls in my room were so thin that I could hear both neighbors very clearly. If you hate smoking, then do not open your balcony door because your room will quickly become smoke filled.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect clean hotel, great food, gluten-free choice, close to beach and centre of Portoroz, no problems with parking, very close to the bus stop to beautiful Piran,
7.5 Good
Pros: + breakfast is very good + room is clean and spacious
Cons: - a bit difficult to find the way to the entrance, there is not enough parking space to leave a car while check-in. - not enough parking space. You should find a parking lot on two public parking zone for 5 EUR/day. You leave a car there on your own risk. There is an option to use a garage in another hotel up the hill for 15 EUR/day (you should like the keys). - there is no air-conditioning for internal spaces in the hotel. In the room, the air-con is weak and not enough under +32 outside. - the whole complex isn't kid-friendly. If you are with a stroller, be ready to move up and down a lot without an elevator. - it's not clear from the description that the facility is located up the hill and not facing the main street.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Big and clean room
Cons: Food is not worth a 4 star hotel, it is more like a cheap motel snack
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good facilities and a fab location
Cons: Outdoor pool was closed until 2pm on a Tuesday- a little disappointing as it is peak summer
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good location - close to the sea, main street and other tourist important places. Fantastic pools. Really nice rooms with top equipment. The possibility of beach packages.
Cons: Only one lift for the hotel of this size was problem - we often wait for the cabin. Parking should be better (but it is clear disadvantage of location close to the sea). Drinks non-included in the dinner price.

Cons: Staff tired
9.2 Excellent
Pros: - Nice quiet newly renovated rooms - Location not far from the beach - Good breakfast - Access to pools with sea water - Solid WiFi connection - Portoroz itself is very nice small town
Cons: - For bath robes, sun beds, umbrellas and beach towels you need to pay extra - Door key opened the door to the room every other time - sometimes it took up to 5 attempts for me to get into the room - No fish or any shellfish on the breakfast despite of the seaside location

Pros: Really nice room, amazing breakfast and dinner
Cons: X
7.9 Good
Pros: Very nice room. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very tasty!!
Cons: The garbage bin in the bathroom wasn't empty and full of rotten vegetables. But they cleaned everything after we mentioned it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast. Parking. Pool.
Cons: Not that i didn’t like it. The shower my room 4420 was leaking. Problem for the hotel, but vey nice shower.
6.3 Good
Pros: Lovely pool. Nice Staff.Excellent breakfast. Nature.
Cons: I didn't like the lack of direct access to the sea from the hotel and hotel does not have own area by the sea. I was placed in a room on the 1st floor with no balcony and a view of the wall, someone else's fence at a distance of 1 meter. And that's for 542 euros for 2 night for Genius traveler! I think the room takes a prize for my travels as the most expensive of the worst.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room was comfy and exactly as advertised, quiet at night for good sleep. Breakfast was excellant and served at the main hotel building 100 metres away.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room was good size with nice view from the balcony. Very good breakfast and dinner.
Cons: Breakfast area is outdated and needs some renovation.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very comfortable and modern room with some some lovely extra touches such as a pillow menu and responsive housekeeping. Great view from balcony. Exceptional breakfast
Cons: The gym attracted an additional charge, as did parking which wasn't clear at the time of booking. It also wasn't clear that the hotel pool which is heavily marketed on the site was across a road a few minutes from the hotel. Pool bar slow service, not enough staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location in Portorose, beautiful and well-equipped rooms, excellent facilities and services, very comfortable beds/mattresses. The breakfast was absolutely awesome in every respect: quantity, quality, and variety.
Cons: Too bad the management chooses to close the outside swimming pools on September 15. We really think they should keep them open until the end of September. I'm sure all guests would respond enthusiastically in favor, if consulted. We would have loved to stay a few more days, if the outside pools were kept beyond Sept 15.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect.
Cons: Hotel is 100m from rooms. Street light is bad between hotel and rooms.

Located in Piran, Socializing Hotel Mirna 4* - Lifeclass Hotels & Spa is a 1-minute drive from Portoroz Beach and 5 minutes from Piran Harbour. Featured amenities include limo/town car service, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge (available 24 hours), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel itself might get 3 star in other countries... but our room was clean, quite spacious and the balcony was also big. The elevator is fast, the air condition works. They are lacking parking lots but the bellboy took the car to the nearest parking. The only sweetwater pool of the hotel complex is located in this hotel, but you can use the facilities of any of the hotels (sea spa, thermal spa, kid's room). Sunbeds at the beach were included in the price. On the beach there's animation for the kids and mini disco at some evenings. You can use your room number for consumption also at the beach restaurant and bars. At the buffet there's always lots of fruits and we always found some tasty soups and/or main dishes. There are always some seafood at dinner and pancakes at breakfast :)
Cons: The staff was friendly until you complied; causing them any trouble changed the attitude and were sometimes even rude. Big part of the staff doesn't speak English. You can have dinner either from 7 or 8 p.m. that you have to choose at the beginning and is not flexible. This hotel is the furthest from the sea and is on the hill so you have to take a lot of steps climbing up from the beach. Food was boring after 3 days - the choice for breakfast was the same every day. The safe was out of order in the room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great. The private beach is very nice, with plenty of space. Crew was very nice and helpful.
Cons: Location is a bit problematic, some distance from the beach although the organized path. Parking is a big issue, though it's probably because it was August.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The swimming pool and terme were awesome. Hotel is very clean. Breakfast was great. The beach is also very near as well as city center.
Cons: They charge you 6 Eur for using bath coat and towel. In a hotel which declares itself as a spa hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Reception staff is great, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is excellent.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Sea spa area is nice, outdoor pool is pleasant. Breakfast was very good.
Cons: You have to pay for parking 5 Eur/day but there is never enough space at the hotel, we had to park our car at another hotel and then climb up the hill. They charge 6 Eur for a bathrobe. Room was not very clean, terrible view, hotel is very far from the spa, you have to climb several stairs and walk to get there. It is advertised as family hotel but you have to book family room to get facilities for children. Hotel is up on the hill, far from the beach and promenade.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast; very nice and helpful staff. Quite a big room.
Cons: Air conditioning could work better in the room.
6.3 Good
Pros: We liked the different swimming pools
Cons: Hôtel too far from the sea front The personnal not very welcoming Carpark at 500m from hotel down hill so to get back 123 steps inappropriate for old people and children
7.1 Good
Pros: The location was great and room spacious. Breakfast was good and healthy. There were many services in the hotel group.
Cons: The hotel was not as family-friendly as described in booking.com and hotel broshure. The room was not like in pictures for family room, there was no kid’s corner in restaurant, no toys available like in all marketing photos. Many stairs to get into the other parts of the hotel group, which was not very convenient with a stroller. Also the terme spa area was under constraction which was not mentioned when booking. The service was not really good.
7.1 Good
Pros: Big clean room whith big terrace. Good dinner and cheap parking. Good pools whith sea water and thermal water.
Cons: Very far away from the sea. 7 day same breakfast. Not have any beach, only concrete stair in the sea.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and dinner excellent. Staff very politely and kind.
Cons: Parking place, garage is too expensive.

The Remisens Premium Hotel Metropol offers top quality service and a wide range of exclusive amenities for a memorable holiday. Located on an elevated position on the hill of Sv. Lovrenc, the hotel offers an unforgettable view of Portorož and the Marina Portorož. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food and accommodation was very good.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location, dinner and breakfast. Nice staff.
Cons: Fridge did not work, Forgoten dirty towell in room. Wery wery worn out rooms.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice large room with a large balcony and with a beautiful view of the sea and the whole coast. Two large beds were very comfortable. The beach itself, as well as the large outdoor pool, has to be crossed on a busy road, but there is an indoor pool and two smaller outdoor saltwater pools, with comfortable sun loungers and parasols and a lounge bar. Breakfast and dinner buffets provide a varied selection. The restaurants have a reserve in the choice of soups. The service of guests on the outdoor restaurant terrace could be slightly enhanced. Ancient Piran is a convenient bus ride for a small fee. I recommend visiting nearby Sečoveljske Soline and Thalasso spa Lepo Vida.
7.1 Good
Pros: Food generally very good with wide variety of dishes but supply was a little slow to replenish empty items at busy times. Rooms were very comfortable and clean and bathroom of exceptional quality. Good position with an amazing outdoor swimming pool and sunbathing area with plenty of sun beds !!
Cons: May be of no consequence to many but the automatic Coffe machines at breakfast were useless only producing tiny amounts per cycle creating long queues of disgruntled guests.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: i have been number times in this hotel i have noticed the quality of food went down this time.
Cons: No access to the sea from swimming pool we had to go out from the swimming area to the road to get to sea
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kind staff, really good cuisine, comfy rooms
Cons: The bartender girl made me an awful cocktail. She can not even smile or chat. The maid wanted to come in the morning (7:30) on our check-out day (checkout is until 11).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Large room with two large beds
Cons: Food choice and taste was a below expectation
6.3 Good
Pros: The restaurant is amazing, room was worth the price casino was great !
Cons: The spa was not like they made it seem it seems like you are back in the 1950s the pool is missing tiles and the windows are damaged . The spa staff was too busy talking to each other and the facilities where not included in the price.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything was good, room, equipment, view, comfort, location, food
Cons: slow elevator, hotel is old so rooms look like that, stairs to beach and back
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I stayed in a double room at Hotel Neptun with one of my sons aged 3. It's close to the beach and features an indoor playground, so I'd recommend it for families. The staff at the hotel restaurant was really very nice, the food at breakfast and dinner was delicious, with a wide variety of food on offer, including some Istrian specialties. Our room was always clean and very big for a double room. I'd definitely choose that hotel again, and I would recommend it to friends.
Cons: The only thing I disliked was that the price per night was relatively high.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location near many restaurants. Amazing sea spa with comfortable beds and good umbrellas. Very good breakfast.
Cons: Many stairs. Breakfast only untill 10.00 am. No light on the balcony (centrally operating untill 22.00 pm, but our light was on only 1 evening of our 6 night stay). Only 1 small elevator for guests and staff.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Super freindly staff, especially the experienced. Younger staff was less impressive. Cleanliness was spot on! Facilities as well. Aged but well maintained. Room size.
Cons: The food and add on surcharges that were included in price before!! We have stayed at this hotel 2years ago and the food offer was much better in terms of quality and variety then, compared to now. Breakfast in particular was an extreme disappointment. Fried eggs looked and tasted like they were made hours before and just kept warm, while croissants were always from the day before. During our seven days there we never once had them warm or fresh at least. Dinner was slightly better, however still far below standard. This is just unacceptable for a 4 star hotel. Additionally extras like use of outside parking area and bath robes was included in the price during our previous stay, while this time around we were charged extra for it. Yes, the parking surcharge was mentioned in the conditions (i checked post factum), but i never looked at it prior to booking expecting the same conditions as before.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in a good location, few minutes to the hotel beach with deck chairs and parasols. The hotel has a thermal pool. The breakfast is fantastic and the hotel staff are wonderful, friendly
Cons: Although it was stated (via bookinga) that parking was included in the price, it had to be paid on departure. It's not expensive just unexpected.
7.9 Good
Pros: The room is large and comfortable. The location was good, you can walk to Piran. The staff was really helpful.
Cons: The breakfast was rather limited for a 4-star hotel. The pool outside is really small, but there are also larger inside pools.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was located on the 5th floor, very spacious with a nice balcony and fantastic sea view. The breakfast was perfect & staff very helpful. Spa & Wellness center with mineral water made our decision definitely to come back!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was as expected, pleasant, clean, close to the beach, quiet. I realy enjoyed.Thay were more than willing to provide the mini bar as it was needed for my kid for some medicine with no extra charge. This was my third time here and I will come, for sure, again.Full recommendation.

5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel is at the end of the beach so it is not as loud as it would be closer to the center of the area. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The pillows were of very bad quality: very hard to sleep on. The buffet breakfast was of very low quality as well but it is probably a normal level for a 3 star hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: It was all OK
9.0 Excellent
Pros: quiet hotel with nice indoor pool in the centre of portoroz close to all the action. ample choice for breakfast and dinner.
Cons: small table for working
7.1 Good
Pros: The ladies in the reception were very nice and helpful. They even recommended a restaurant just across the street, which was very good (I think the name is also Lucjia). The food is very good, the prices are decent. The room was perfect for one night - clean, not too big, but not small either, since it was just me. The bathroom very clean also.
Cons: If you want just to rest a couple of days, this hotel is perfect. I had a business working day in Portoroz, the end to Piran and the hotel is not very close to that part (almost 3 km away). It is closer to Lucjia (the names of the hotel is relevant for this). So, if you are the kind of person that loves long walks, then this hotel is perfect for you.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location is good, near to the beach. The pool is nice, food is good.
Cons: The family room is just bigger with more beds.
