we had a great stay, longer than planned before, perfect staff and beatiful place, nice spa
Breakfast was excellent. Hotel is very nice. Our stay was very enjoyable. There should be a gym.
I liked everything. Probably the spoeed of the kitchn of the restaurant with the terrace could be improved. The wine selection is very poor.I didn't have the chance to dine at Sophia because it as closed
the quality of the building , and its position Staff still learning, about 5 star expectations of guests
I. Concierge service was excellent as they graciously spent an hour or so with me on the phone PRIOR to arrival and proved just as gracious when I arrived. II. Excellent (and unexpected) almost all bike roughly 4 mile rail to bike/hike only trail from Portoroz to Isola Slovenia. III. Excellent FREE internet as I needed to work each day I was there and almost stayed a week. IV. Great HQ to tour by (A) ferry to (1) Isola, Slovenia (as trips are daily in summer) and (2) Ravinj and Pula in Croatia (weekends and Wednesday only in summer) with Raving being more charming and Pula having 3 Roman sites but more inudustrial; (3) Venice (once per week on Dora BU you may need to stay overnight) (B) car to multiple 30 to 75 minutes short road trips in Slovenia (including gorgeous and captivating Ljubliana) and Istrian peninsula of Croatia. V. Buffet British/American style lavish and tasty breakfast until 12 noon included in price. VI. Large rooms air conditioning made room comfortable but it was irritating that theormostat did not work properly and was "off" and needed adjustment BUT room was able to be cooled but needed assistance form help..
Worthy of its aspiration to be the finest hotel between Venice and Dubrovnik Since the hotel is very new (opened five days before our stay) there were a few small things which were not quite right. These were reported to reception on our departure and were noted for attention
Liked disign, hospitality of the staff, kids' room - for this thanks a lot and movie theater - open air!!!! It will be nice for the next to have healthy kids' menu (like veg, soup puree, staemed fish, meat ball) and special corner for kids breakfasts
I just stayed one night. My room was garden wiev standart room and it was perfect interms of size and luxury. I also should not forget that it was very clean.
We had a large bedroom which was very confortable and good to spend time in. I had one experience which was completely at variance with my excellent memories of my stay at the hotel. I was on my own for the last two days of our visit and decided without booking to have a meal in the restaurant (cannot remember the name but was not the Sofia as it was closed). I had not booked as it never seemed to be full. I was told by manager that there could be a problem but he would know in 5 minutes. He suggested I go to bar to have an aperitif, which I did. However after waiting there for more than 20 min there was no sign of him letting me know whether he had a seat for me in the restaurant and I went back to my room and ate in the town, which was excellent.I felt that had I been with my husband this would not have happened.
Pleasant atmosphere in hotel, salted water in the pool, big bed and good quality of mattress. I enjoyed in every moment
Great hotel, everything superb
The situation The salt water swimming pool, no outdoor pool and lack of sandy beach
The quiet beach, walking distance to city, buffet breakfast & dinner Extremely small rooms & bathrooms, Extra fees for diverse services including Sauna (closed at all the time & requires the guest to go extra to front desk to get permission for using the facility & Tennis Court fees. Lack of Coffee maker in the room (Usually incllude in All 5 star hotels services. Overal the hotel does not qualify for a 5 star hotel, In my opinion, a reasonable 3 star category is acceptable.
Superb breakfast buffet, excellent view, good sea/swimming area, good location, free internet access Very expensive, rooms small.
Location was great, service was great. VIP section at the beach was a luxury. Food was great for adults. Kids pool at neighboring hotel (which we had access to) was enjoyable. Not the best fit for young children. Rocky beach, and salt water pools were ok, but not ideal. Not great food options for toddlers.
View from the Balcony The price is a bit too much for the room condition and breakfast
The view. Rude unpleasant staff in the bars and restaurants. Nobody know how to smile over there?
Unpleasant smell in the room and toalet.Inadmissible for 5 stars hotel!
location and facilities
Great service, food and all-around quality of the hotel. Inside pool a little small and with no windows. Lack of outside pool. The shower switch on the bath tub was not working perfectly (room 707!!).
The hotel is very nice but the rooms are not 5 star quality. The room was very small, not very nice and overpriced.
Nice environment for relaxing.
Design, peace, friendly staff
Internet access for guests who do not have their own pc was SHOCKING.Mostly no access or very slow
Breakfast is excellent! Dinner is not a 5 stars worth, but one of a 'big' kitchen quality - not bad, but certaintly not good.
The view from the balcony. The hotel needs some refreshment.
The hotel and the room was great there was smell coming from toilet when you were in whirpools and the floors coul be clean also during the day and there were some stains the tablecloth in the dining room
Excellent breakfast No coffee/tea maqking facilities in room, also unable to borrow an iron, had to have a maid service which is expensive
The staff were very friendly especially the barman at night when we sat in the lounge having a drink, and he spoke very good English, The bathroom was very clean which I liked, I also liked the location of our room we had a great view of the sea from our balcony. It had no facilities for making a hot drink in the room.
View from room Balcony Near central area next to nice promanade for walking Breakfast items slow to refil when things had ran out, but quality was good
Staff was extremely friendly Two points..the bed had two matresses on it.It was crazy to try to sleep on the bed..someone kept falling into the crack all night long.Hot food in the morning (and coffee) were cold. But we will be back
Staffs are very friendly and kind. Location is little far from center so that very quiet environment.
lakoća dolaska do hotela, parking u blizini, vrlo ljubazno osoblje, ugodan ambijent, čistoća sobe i hotela jastuci na krevetu nisu pogodni za spavanje
The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The room was also one of the cleanest I've ever stayed in. Not super modern but elegant and wonderful nonetheless. Secure parking, free wi-fi and an ocean view.
Peacefull, nice small hotel at front of Adriatic sea with lot of green trees. You can go walking around or just seating and looking at sea. We were at October and we cant say about swiming! Nothing
Good value for money Good location bewteen piran and portoroz Excellent sea view Nice bar and restauarant Nice balcony and view No additional facilities. E.g pool
Price, location Noncomfortable bed, very soft and bad for someone's back
wellnes noisy room
The location was fantastic and access to the wellness swimming pools were a god send on your long travels
Privaty beach Nothing
Good location, big rooms with a view of the bay, good breakfast. IMHO the hotel is over priced for this time of year (i.e. pre-season). Some hotel facilities should be upgraded.
Excellent leisure factilities
Kind staff, comfort... no
Location close to the sea. The private beach. The breakfast was a bit Eastern Block. The breakfast staff need to learn communication skills ... Smile. Good morning, how may I help, there you are sir etc... The managers need some serious training
Good location. Excellent breakfast Air conditioner works very bad.So it was hot at nights. If you want to go the pool you have to take the towel from the room because towels in the pool are paid but on the beach you can take free towels
the terme no
The Hotel staff were friendly No
view of garden and sea view
Nice hotel in the centre of Portorož, rich breakfast, good value for money.
The hotel was located very close to all attractions. We walked everywhere to the beach, bars and restaurants. Hotel swimming indoor pool was very large.
it is relly nice hotel. there is no mini bar in rooms..
Good upper 3*. Nice clean room. Despite being fully booked, the hotel felt very quiet (no door slamming, no shouting in corridors, no noises from next door rooms). Excelent location. The room felt little clinical - the hotel has no personality.
Simple hotel just renovated Housekeeping very noise at 6,30 AM too early. Not good cleaning. Grass in the garden to high aand not well manteined
tidiness of rooms. the staff was assisting and inviting nothing to say here...
A very comfortable hotel with a wonderful indoor swimming pool. The buffet breakfasts were very good and as we had booked half board we also enjoyed the excellent buffet style evening meals served at the 5* hotel Metropol hotel in the same complex. The location was good for exploring Piran by bus as a single ticket only cost 0.40 euro from a kiosk (1Euro on the bus) this was very helpful as it is almost impossible to park a car in Piran.Portoroz is great for walking along the coast and in the hills and also through the old railway tunnel to Strunjan. We also enjoyed visiting the amazing frescoed church at Hrastovlje and spent a day in Croatia. None
Decent size rooms, jacuzzi A few things: it is too expensive for what it offers, the rooms were not clean, the beds are too soft and gave me back pains, the staff are very unfriendly, even rude at times.
location; everything was OK
Very kind and friendly staff as well as good quality service, especially the breakfast. The room was very clean however the balcony should be cleaned regularly as birds made it dirtier every day. If there's a big party in a club close to the sea (either in Slovenia or in Croatia), the water brings the noise to the hotel. However according to the staff it happens rare.
Breakfast buffet very large and busy A very large hotel that simply wasnt for me. I had booked a trıple room but ınstead was gıven a 2 room suıte for double the prıce.
SPA was great Food should be better and light on balcony should be switched on/of by the customer and not by the hotel.
Quiet and clean rooms, highbrow staff
Lunch in the Taverna, swiming pools, city Piran and Portoroz are near. For a seaside view they prefer additional payment. Amount is small, but when reservation was made a spectacular sea view was promised in the hotel description text. Room specification doesn't mentions sea or harbour view.
excellent water world; nice country around, possibilities for active relax not
Good location with easy access on foot to both Piran and Portoroz, very nice hotel facilities including indoor swimmingpools, free parking and good food selection at meals. No wireless internet available in rooms, beverages over dinner are charged extra. In addition some of the staff members should invest more effort into speaking Serbian. Most of them kept talking Slovenian and sometimes there were difficulties in understanding them.
Attentive and helpful staff; excellent location (attending conference in adjacent hotel); very comfortable room; excellent breakfast self service. At the price I paid, I would certainly return. Nothing.
Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful views. The hotel is pretty isolated from shopping and other restaurants. Good location if you just want to use the pool and sea for swimming.
location, room size, generous breakfast parking is a challenge (in all of Piran)
The hotel was extremely well located in the center of Piran and the breakfast was good quality. The room was very dated and small and what was described as a beach was a concrete slab. The hotel did not provide sun loungers or umbrellas for customers. The male receptionist was also extremely rude.
The town and location of the Hotel were excellent. Very old, scenic, quaint and relaxing Although the tile and fixtures in the bathroom were relatively new, it appeared the plumbing had not been cleaned or updated. Water backed up, contstantly, in the shower. The location is wonderful, but nothing exceptional about the specific room.
Hotel was fine but nothing special, very good location, breakfasts great.the beach in front of hotel, full of people but ok.parking at etage garage 2km far from hotel for 12E a day - no other chance for parking. bathroom was a bit stinky
Amazing position, water at your door step.
Location is nice and very close to Porto Rose and Strunjan. It's possible to ask for parking in front of the hotel (suggested, parking in Piran is crazy) Every morning at 9am a waitress checks to see if there's someone in the room. The breakfast could be improved.
Rested. swam. ate lovely spot, no
Location was great and the hotel makes it extremely easy to get in and out if you're driving with their shuttle service to and from the Piran parking garage. Hotel was very clean and beautiful. Due to the prime location, expect a lot of noise. Our room faced the alley, and we got a lot of noise from people walking to their hotels late at night, and motoscooters zipping up the alley in the morning.
The location The manager was a little gruff
excellent location. sea view and balcony a must.
a fantastic hotel location right on the sea front and a short walk to bus station.it is right in the heart of this beautiful town.
good location, parking for free lobby was dirty and stinky, food shold be better, nota valou for money.
service was mediocre and the food during the breakfast was just terrible. Other than that, hotel Neptun is ok
All hotels in resort Life Class is conected and in the centre of Portorose. It is the best located resort in this area. Fully recomended. There is a lack of parking space in spite of the fact that there is a hotel parking (pretty crowded). It is recomended to book in advance.
We liked the staff - its professionalism, friendly attitude, wonderful attitude to children. Breakfasts - great choice. Beautiful spa, swimming- pools. We liked everything.
We had a great sea view from our hotel room. The spa offer is affordable and has a great variety of massages etc.
Room comfort, food, swimming pools, location, price. Maybe noise coming through the opened door from outside (swimming pools' air condition). Right elevator sometimes doesn't accept 4th floor selection.
The location is good. In front of the beach and very close to restaurants and bars They do not offer towels even to go the pool! You have to pay for them. They do not have any structure in the beach. You also have to pay for the chairs and umbrella. For the price we pay there it doesn't worth it.They also didn't have enough chairs in the pool for all the customers.
Nice pools with sea water. Good breakfast. The cleaning staff are very efficient. Located right in the centre of Portoroz. Waiters were very arogant. Air condition was turned off during the night, even though it was the middle of August with temperatures around 30 C and the hotel was full. We could not open the windows because it was too noisy outside, so it was a real pain to fall asleep and our little son was waking up all the time. We were actually happy to leave the hotel.
All hotel was great and the staff was the best people i had seeing in all hotels in many places in the world! They are very good people!
Very nice hotel, good comfort, excellant location but very low quality of bed.
The hotel staff was kind and friendly, enjoyed my stay very much! The mini bar attendant comes every morning around 9AM to refill the fridge... I think that is a very inappropriate time to do this, especially when people would like to sleep in!!
Room without terrace
Nice view and attentive staff We were on the 7th Floor and disco noise still audible wear ear plugs.Booked a wellness centre holiday and did not know that this covered all of the hotels on the sea front and got the shabbiest. In future would book direct with hotel rather than take chance on Booking.Com
food in the restaurant, swimming pools
Big room with clima. A lot of spa options (included in price, like various pools) and the rest with discounts. By the way, it was a very good idea to combine several hotels into one complex "Life-class" with advantage to use all those spa stuff. Clean and not croweded beach (with a small fee for hotel guests 4.5 eur for deck chair + 2 eur for umbrella per person). Good breakfast and helpful staff. The next time, being in Portoroz we will go to the same hotel, for sure. In spite of the fact, that it is very difficult to park in Portoroz, hotel has quite big parking with a lot of spaces (we paid 3 and half eur/night). Very good quality-price ratio. Hotel is on the hill a little bit. And if the weather is hot and you are tired, it's a little bit lazy to go up (although we used system of passages between the rest of life-class hotels to go up to Mirna by elevator)
Large room, spa, friedly staff, good price
Spa center is great, although it's in hotel Neptun (connected with covered tunnel). location is good as well, Staff all over the place is very rude. Cleanliness of the rooms was awfull, towels were not changed although put in place for replacement, we were finding personal things throwed all over the room. Owerall this is not 4 star hotel in any sense.
big and clean room, friendly staff, good food, especialy diner, the location of the hotel, not enought parking space. We had trouble to park all four days we stayed at hotel.
nice staff, good food and close to the beach and city center lunch hour is a little bit narrow in means of time (only from 19 till 20:30). I would prefer a possibility to have supper till 22:00.
staff were very kind. The gotel was located across the street from the place my convention was held Hotel is a bit old, yet bathroom looks renewed
Old stile room accommodation Everything was ok
No easy access to the hotel, the baggage has to be carried up the stairs to get to the reception.
Very satisfied with the stay in the hotel. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Good location also for families with small children.
No easy access to the hotel, the baggage has to be carried up the stairs to get to the reception. This hotel belongs to Metropol chain hotels. Metropol Hotel is 5 star and is situated 50 meters from Roza hotel. All activities you can get in Metropol hotel and not in Roza hotel. Breakfast is served in this hotel, but dinner is served also in Metropol hotel. They should write down explanation.
There is no internet connection in the rooms you have to go to the hotel next door (the same company to be connected. The tv doesn't work all the time and there are no international channels. But, the hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly
Bathroom was clean and modern. 1. Problematic parking. 2. Room furniture old and too dark. 3. Some facilities (e.g., swimming pool) offered in neighbouring hotel but information about opening hours was not correct.
completely new place- nice equipement- bad contact with staff that is not ready at all to listen and help: the electronic key didn't work and they were not ready to hear about- most important: the forest we see behind the residence in fact is a camping: be sure you will hear noisy music and shouts for hours - but very good phonic isolation: when you are inside with closed windows, it's quiet noise due to the camping behind of the residence- reception staff not client oriented
Modern, furnished, clean During our staying(1 week): no hot water, the air-condition doesn't breeze a cool wind. The personal on the reception is unhelpful and unfriendly.
The huge apartment, kitchen, 2 bathrooms. There was a difference between the hotel price stated by Booking during making a reservation and a current price in the hotel on our arrival. Fortunately the manager decided to accept lower booking price.
Liked the location Our appartment had damp areas. The main bedroom is far too small for the size of bed and no en suite facility.
Perfect and Fantastic. Very nice and Clean.
Good location, just a short walk to the beach area. Resturants on site were excellent.
We really liked everything. High quality furnishing, garrage with remote control, excellent location, tennis and mini-golf included in the ticket, huge space for a entire family, 2 bathrooms per apartment, 2 TV sets, each room with its own air cond unit, etc.
large rooms in the apartment well located in Marina with restaurants and views of boats. Campsite behind was very noisy especially at the weekend. Marina parked a large mobile home right in front of us, a case of we looking at them and they looking at us. Even with those negatives it was very nice place to stay..
Nice and clean appartment, it's a pleasure to stay there there were no clothes wash machine at the appartment. there are washing machine at the common laundry, costs 4 EUR per usung washing machine and 4 EUR per using drying machine.
Very good location, exellent view, comfort and a lot of facilities. Unfortunaly, during our short stay it was haevy raining, but inspite the weather condition, we felt good and comfortable. We enjoy playing tennis in covered tennis court. The remote of garage door was out of function, so we couldn't enter the garage during haevy raining.
Great location, spacious rooms.
Very good spot. Near to Tennis Courts (we played three hours a day) and the large swimming pool
Position and accessability to all amenities
Nice setting , gardens swimming pool, good staff One bad point. Airconditioner was not working well, not able to make it cooler at night , it was hot and sweaty. Also difficult to open the sliding glass door to balcony
The hotel is just on the edge of the main Portoroz strip so perfectly located. Our room was luxurious, big, modern, and comfortable with good air-conditioning. There was a good selection for breakfast. The swimming pool was clean and modern. They had a Slovenian buffet night for €20 a head which was a great idea to taste the native cuisine. I had spa treatments at the hotel which I very much enjoyed. We had a flat screen TV with many English channels which was nice if we needed a break from the heat. I would highly recommend Hotel Marita!
The hotel is very nicely furnished to a high standard. The rooms need upkeep as it seems a major refurbishment has taken place and some small things are not working correctly.
I found the hotel to be extremely comfortable and close enough to Piran for an evening dinner
Staff friendliness, the contemporary style, the room size Beds are a little uncomfortable
Good swimming pool, also swimming in the sea. Close to both Piran and Portorez.
Being close to the water and it had a good hotel beach. The decor inside and outside was old and it was not very appealing to the eye. On arrival we were given poor rooms even though we booked specific rooms well in advance. Felt like we were shoved in the corner. Not very good value for money.
Really nice staff, nice hotel considering the price, Good location. Good breakfast and facilities Missed aircondition
ok hotel as a resort type for family/retired couples, as a young lone traveller I would probably go elsewhere next time... Good location though, closer to Piran town as any of the other Portoroz hotels. couple of encounters with cockroaches in my room
leaving got our online booking wrong. Cost of the room. No air conditioning.Street too noisy to leave window open. No clear initial help/guidance as to where precisely room was ,and no help offrerred with heavy bags.Suitcases got spoilt when lifted from car to grass verge, as it was unaccountably wet and muddy. Sons sofa bed was broken so he had to sleep on the floor. etc etc
surrounding, parking, breakfast, nice staff no minibar in the room, too much people were walking in front of our balcony - on the ground floor.
Excellent Hotel for vacation, 20 min away from romantic old town Piran and Portoroz.
Easy access to neighbouring hotel breakfast and congress centre. No air conditioning or fan in room - unbearably warm at night and during day. Hotel overpriced.
Location. Unreasonable price for what it offers - management should consider renovation of the interior.
The view The cleanliness of my room (just once in 2 or 3 days....)
For travelers with car the hotel is situated conveniently outside of Pirin so you can avoid parking problems. Nice, clean quite modern hotel few hundred meters from a beach. View to the "lagoon" is not very nice. There is not much to do in this area (so perhaps not worth of booking if you don't have a car).
the view and, the room and the hotel is splendid. -
Hotel is the best for the weekend (short vacation). Located in a quiet location. Nice hotel staff. /
Friendly Staff; very good breakfast; it'a modern hotel ina quiet location with sight on saltworks;nice, well decorated(colourful), comfortable and clean rooms. Free covered parking and free wifi.
Very modern hotel with sea view and small balcony, and very clean.
Nice view of the bay beyond the Strunjan salt pan. Good access by car to all over the Istrian Peninsular. Not a gigantic hotel as others nearby - we experienced no crowd or no loudness.
nice staff and very very helpfull. free parking, nice breakfast. I like the hotel and recommed it.
good breakfast, good rooms Check out too early (10AM), Maybe the price could be lower considering location.
