The hospitality of the staff I was dissatisfied with just about everything else, apart from the staff. This hotel is, due to it's location, not suitable for business nor leisure. It lacks quite a lot of facilities and even to italian standards should have 2 starts instead of 4.
It is a lovely hotel on the top of a mountain above the city of Pozzuoli. You will need a car to get there easily. The city of Pozzuoli you can reach by taxi or by car. Napoli is reachable with the taxi to a metrostation, and then within 15 minutes reach, you are in the citycenter of Napoli. There isn't public transport in the nearby that's why you always transport yourself by car or taxi. The swimmingpool looks very nice. It is a very clean hotel. We did not actually stayed in the hotel. We booked a room, when we arrived at the hotel we get our key. They informed us that the swimmingpool and the surrounding of the pool was closed for the 2 days we would be staying there (in the weekend) because of a wedding!! We were very disappointed about that. Because I also payed for using the simming pool. That area looks very nice. And after a long drive from Rome, with the heat. We really wanted to lie in the sun. Now, we were forced to visit the city. The thing I want to inform the bookers for this hotel is that you have to inform yourself if there is any wedding during the time of your staying. When there isn't a wedding, it is a good 4 star hotel.
The view was amazing. Clean rooms, Friendly staff. It was a little hard to find. When you finally find the right street it looks like a dead end. Go up the road on the left that looks like it leads to the back parking for the pizza restaruant, it's actually a road that leads up a very steep hill (alittle hard for my small rental car to climb) all the way to the top and take a left.
The pool area has no towel-service, no toilet, no changing rooms. Annoyingly the pool area was closed early due to a private ceremony and it was done without any notice. On a very hot and tiring day this could come as a very unpleasant surprise, particularly after a day-trip to Pompeij.
hotel room and pool not realy suitable for holiday makers as the hotel is predominently for occasions such as weddings, facilities for holideaymakers are poor.
we enjoyd staying and would have liked to stay more than a day. beautiful view the smell from solfatara comes with the wind and people should know that
I liked the location the most. Staying in Pozzouli was enjoyable. The view was great also. My flight itinerary was unexpectedly changed and I was unable to stay at the hotel for the first four nights of my booking. The hotel and booking.com would not refund me the money for the nights that I did not stay at the hotel.
good new hotel with very nice view
the location wich offres a panoramic view of Pozzuoli. the suite had an awfull smell, was not clean at our arrival and was too isolated. we didn't accept the suite and switched to twe separated rooms what resulted in an 80% increase of the price!
The view was fabulous, the hotel staff were very helpful, the mini bar wasn't over priced as some hotels are, and the breakfast was great. The wireless was free, but only available in certain areas. But there is a computer to use if you need one so that was nice. The swimming pool was not very clean and almost never available during our 5 day stay because there was always some event being held there. And finally the location is difficult to get to if you don't have a car - you have to rely on taxi's. But the view is worth the extra hassle.
Helpfulness by the stay. The bar tender during he evening of our stay was very curtious and informative. prices for drinks at the bar much to high
Very well located
good neighborhood, close to good shoping district, nice rooms, but a little bit smal not so rich breakfast choise, no bar or caffe in the hotel
A good hotel near to the more expensive shopping area , the staff are excellent in the way they communicate and help guests. I have now stayed a few times in the hotel and find its location safe (especially for Napoli and nice to walk around, there are interesting bars, trattorias and restaurants nearby. Not this hotel in particular, but in general the price of in hotel breakfasts, and I do know real Italians and what they eat for breakfast I am not commenting on the lack of a big American fry up. Only looking for a cornetto and cafe latte variation for a sensible price.
I like very much the hotel , all was perfect :)
The localization of the hotel is great, in the Chiaia region, the best neighboorhod in town. The hotel is very near to the best shops in Naples, such as Gucci, Armani and Louis Vuitton and another great shops, so you can reach the best of the city in a short walk. The hotel is also near to some good bars and restaurants (like the great pizzeria Matozzi) and to some streets that are closed to cars and are great to walk around, so within a walking distance, you have the best of Naples. It is also just three blocks form the subway station that leads to the central station. The hotel is very good, the room is very modern, new and clean, with a large ans clean bathroom with amenities. The only bad point is that they don´t have a safe box in the room, but they have in the reception. The staff is great, always ready to help you, the breakfast is very good and the hotel restaurant serves pretty good foods for lunch and dinner. I would recomend this hotel for everyone, me and my family really liked it. Just to put a safe box in the room
Excellent location...Walking distance to the seaside, right in the middle of the shopping district. Plenty of restaurants near by.
The room was immaculate and well kept. Beds were firm. Would definitly stay here again.
perfect location very comfortable hotel!
Excellent service all round . Excellent Room. Spotlessly clean. Excellent location. Though the restaurant not busy at night the food was absolutely delicious. Very nice staff. safe area of Naples. Walking distance to the main shopping area and Piazza Plebiscite. Not far from bay. Rooms lovely. One fothe best hotels I 've ever stayed in.
While the location was poor, the proximity to the train station was great The location and the trash in the streets. Not really the hotel's fault however.
hotel is fab really stylish, rooms are very spacious and plenty of nice extras and would recommend the corner room, great breakfast lots of variety and even had champers on offer!!!!!and lovely roof terrace. funny smell in bathroom and dinner was a bit disappointing.
the size of room..and the "trendy' decor There was one front desk staff, that was "trying to be funny" but was rather rude. He assume many things, not very proffessional. Thankfully I have a good sense of humour, otherwise I would have been more put off than I was.
Open garden at roof level We could not get served a dinner one night, told it would be 10minutes, 45 minutes later no menu given or water or an up date, waiters very scarcastic as we left, laughed at us and said Bye bye. Noise from street terrible, horns beeping all nite, extremely dirty outside hotel, staff on reception unhelpful, perhaps very little english, didn't understand us. Very poor selection of english speaking TV programmes. Internet access, no printer, very slow.
Close to Railway Station in Napoli The Bathroom smelt bad.
The room was very nice and the hotel was close to the station. The information we were given by the staff about an excursion to Pompay
the design the prices for drinks at the bar up theterrece are far too high!!!
silent, clean poor breakfast, dark room
Every single facility was clean and fine. No problem with using hotel. Nothing special, but wifi is too pricey.
The front desk was great, big thanks to Jiovani who assisted often with getting around and travelling advise. The bus and train stations are very close. The heating is not great especially in the bathroom. The shower is very small. The hand/small towels are terrible. The location is not great, lots of street people and a feeling of unsafety.
The hotel staff were great and the room was terrific. There was a great balcony and the view was incredible. The shower was awful. There was only a partial "door", and water got everywhere when you took a shower. We had to cover the floor in every towel we had in preparation for the swamp that followed. The pool also required swim caps which was weird and a big bummer because who wants to wear a swim cap?
Sorry, not much. Breakfast overlooking the sea but inside away from the traffic is the best I can come up with. Hard lumpy bed. Pool closed on arrival. Refusal to provide iron/ironing board to tidy my dress before going out, curt to point of rude reception staff but most important no one smiled - not even once.
View is spectacular and the walk along the beach is great. Breakfast is good. Carpets and walls looking a little tired, but certainly everything is clean!
Staff were lovely. We had a problem with our room when we checked in initially and we were moved without any hesitation. Also, when we were leaving we asked for a recommendation for a hotel in sorrento and Monica, a fabulous lady helped us to secure a hotel for 8 days. This was completely above and beyond and we very much appreciated it. She had also recommended a beautiful place for dinner near the hotel. Good helpful staff working in a hotel in a new city for visitors are worth their weight in gold, this lady in particular was exceptional! No complaints about the hotel and the location was good. Naples is abit nuts though, 2 days is plenty!
I love the location and room. However, the breakfast was the only poor parts. Their coffee is a shame of Italy. If the tourist comes to Italy at the first time and drank that coffee, they will all think that Italian coffee is horrible,,but the truth is one of the best. They should really change that coffee and stop serving conserved fruits, Naples has wonderful fresh fruits!!!
The balcony and the seaview The room The central location.
The room was cleaned every day and the sheets changed daily. The decor was lovely but there was a lot of unfinished work in this area. For example a fixing had been put on the wall and the plaster had broken away and no one prepaired the damage.
Beautiful view of the castle, the sea and the mountains.
The hotel provided an excellent buffet breakfast which was included in the price. The view of the Bay of Naples was magnificent, particularly from the dining room. I also had dinner there and the service was excellent and friendly.
The view was fantastic and the room was ok. Pool area was fabulous We were charged for items from the minibar which we never had. Were woken at 12 midnight on the first night of our honeymoon and told we had to change room. Told it was our honeymoon but got no welcome basket for it.
best position in Napoli, very nice hotel and staff, especially the girl from reception who is very nice and beautifull
The staff was helpful and nice They need to update the hotel a bit it's very dated it's like stepping into 1945. They need to make the hotel like Thr terrace they have on the very top there is a restaurant there and it's the only area of the hotel that I would consider a 5. Star.they should use the style of that restaurant for the entire hotel.
Good position good views good breakfast. But its opulence is fading fast and the spa/pool etc was closed as it was Sunday - this is not stated in the web site so the value was poor as we had expectations that did not come to fruition. No use of pool. Old fashioned.
Old. Needs a complete renovation of interior. Wi fi also needs to be updated and strenghthened. Location and rooftop restaurant are only selling points right now.
Luxury hotel, well situated. Great breakfast on the tarrace - excellent personel (Mr Mario). Good room service.Tasty meals. Perfect barman Not fully satisfied with Concierge and reception personel - they seemed to have something more important to do than paying you enough attention. Parking - you have to go on foot to pay and to collect the car
Reception by personel was terible:poor english, unfriendly (few persons starting by manager of reception) Very expensive for price paid. For breakfast large choice but personel disputing between them, not profesional behaviour. It is the first time when I see something like this. Our 10 days holidays in Italy (Florence, Genoa, Tuscany, Milano) were fantastic but not in this hotel. Sorry because behind are people & familly, but something has to change.
Excellent staff, fantastic room, bueautiful view, good breakfast, good decor. No
Excellent hotel in perfect position with professional staff . Has everything anyone could wish for was an ideal base for three wonderful days in Napoli no
Close to dining and shopping. Close to the port to catch the ferry to Capri and the other islands. Its the best hang out spot in naples. Staff was friendly.
They implied that breakfast was included then we got whacked for 27 a head on breakfast. Most expensive muffin I ever ate
Old world charm and great location. Staff was very helpful. Rooms were a bit dated.
The location was great. Walking distance to many restaurants Seemed like one day this was a grand hotel. Today it's old and dusty. The room size was great but the sheets were rough and the hallways looked like they needed to be vacuumed.
Amazing views, great location Limited catering, no evening meal and even basics like snacks in the evening were not available
The staff were extremely helpful. I had no problem with the language and they could all speak English. All staff were eager to please and offered excellent advice on where to eat and where to go to experience Napoli. The services offered were exceptional and I was treated as a special guest. I recommend this hotel to anyone going to Napoli.
the staff and the comfort cooperation with staff, because of their poor english..
The location is great. The music of a wedding in the hotel was loud until late hours in the night. this is not acceptable in a hotel like this.
The location In napoli is very good. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff. On the edge of being rude. We stayed 3 days and everyday, 1 lift was out of order. Considering this hotel receives a lot of tourist bus, imagine when you are trying to take a lift. For the same reasons of tourist bus, It was difficult to take breakfast, no table available or no food available. We had 3 rooms and in each room, the safety box was "out of order". The reception sent somebody to fix it but could not find the problem. The free internet service in the lobby was also "out of order". The lift to the garage was "out of order". Finally, except for the location, we cannot recommend this hotel.
We wanted a view of the bay so got a room upgrade without having to pay extra. The famous AC Milan football team also stayed while we were here and Liverpool stayed the week before! The service in the restaurant was very poor. We waited over 30 mins for our drinks and over an hour for our meal which was ok but not worth the wait. The prices for the food and drinks in the bar and restaurant were ridiculously expensive. This also applies to the mini bar in the rooms.
Breakfast was great. Room was nice. All italian channels (no variety) + impossible to order movies
Hotel location, restaurant staff Front desk was very impatient, the rooms from 21st floor and above are refurbished, so make sure you ask for these rooms because the rest of the rooms are really worn out and are not pleasant to stay in, breakfast was very basic and included very few vegetables
Friendliness of Hotel Staff Amenities need updated Air Conditioning did not function very well if at all, room was very uncomfortable temperature wise.
Efficient and well organized, clean rooms. I would expect in a hotel to have a map of the city to be offered to the clients. Also, more care to have english in every leaflet and post.
The public areas were clean and atractive and the staff were pleasant. The bed was comfortable and the linen and towels were crisp and clean I requested a room near to a friend who was on floor no.25 but when I received my key I was on floor 17 when I pointed out my request I was confronted by a kirt "it is not possible". I aslo requested a non smoking room but was put on a smoking floor. They advertise a safe in every room I never found one in mine. The enamel on the bath was badly damaged. The razor socket in the bathroom was broken so much so that water could enter the mechanism. There was a smell in the bahroom. The air conditioning didn't appear to be working. It would appear that at sometime the room had been broken into because the inside door frame was damaged. The day before we were due to leave, our room was stripped as if we were vacating it that day, this was promptly resolved by a receptionist.Every time we wanted service from the bar we had to find the barman who appeared to double up in the dining room. You may wonder why I didn't complain but I was there to support a friend who had been mugged and badly beaten and was in hospital I therefore had more important things on my mind and spent very little time in the room. I may have to return but will consider a different hotel. The room was 1727
The selection for breakfast was extremely poor. For a buffet breakfast I would expect a greater choice. I certainly in the past have found a better selection at lower rated hotels.
trough the window we can see all naples very beautiful panorama... stains on the wall in the room, broken bathroom glass, rusted bathroom tubes.
the location was grade because there are restaurants and bus station near by. The view from the high floors is breathtaken !!!!!!! the breakfast eas poor for 4 stars hotel . and the difficulty of aproaching the parking which doesnot belong to the hotel!!!
It is relatively newly built and the air conditioning WORKS unlike many other hotels in Rome, Milan, LaSpezia, Siena and other towns we stayed in. It is very far from the main tourist attractions - so take heed that you will be a 20-30 minute metro ride/wait from anything touristy to do.
No service. Pool was'nt in order. Breakfast was bad.
Clean room & bath, Breakfast was good, Fresh fruit is also served. The staff was kind. No free WiFi in the room
Convenient for my location. Breakfast was satisfactory. No hot water on one day. Door keys did not work properly. Grounds need upkeep. Often delayed entry at gate.
If your looking for a hotel in peaceful surroundings with easy access to one of Italy's major cities, this is the one! Excellent and impressive hotel! The rooms very tasteful and clen. There's a an elegant outdoor swimming pool and a big park around the hotel with orange and lemon trees; flowers and plants eveywhere.Very attending and kind staff. Excellent restaurant too! We ate very good fresh pasta and delicious cakes. I'll shurely come back soon!
I had a very nice and spacious room. Everything was clean and the swimming pool was wonderful. Also dinner then breakfast were really so good.............. Just outside the hotel there are a lot of busses for the historical center; there are the underground and a train (called cumana) too!! Superb staff, good price, ultimate comfort - the best hotel I've ever stayed in!!
Nice Big bedroom. Huge choose of TV channels, mostly in Italian. Free Wi-fi, when available. Internet did not work, and there was no effort to remedy this during my stay. Several requests were simply answered: "Maybe tomorrow" without any apparent concern. I often book hotels based on the internet access, so naturally this is not acceptable.
breakfast was scarse
The Pool, Privatnett
The layout and scenery of the hotel was very nice Internet did not work, and there was no effort to remedy this during my stay. Several requests were simply answered: "Maybe tomorrow" without any apparent concern. I often book hotels based on the internet access, so naturally this is not acceptable.
Parking and dinning room food at dinner. Pretty Spot... Street signs in Agnano to the hotel; also see comments above
The service of the staff was great. The food and room facilities were all of a very good quality. Nicely decorated hotel. The hotel is on Piazza Garibaldi, next to the train station and a bit noisy. This area of Naples is very dirty and to say the least tends to detract from the hotel which was the best out of the 10 hotels in Italy we have stayed in so far.
very good ground floor staff... ie reception and concierge lot of construction work outside hotel
Bed was super comfy, the rooms were very clean, shower was hot and had good water pressure, the included breakfast was amazing! Only thing not so good about this hotel is the location. Right next to the central train station, which is convenient, however the area is sketchy. Lots of pickpockets
(1) Excellent location. 2 mins' walk from the station!! , (2) Cleanses of hotel lobby and (3) neat breakfast hall. Receptionist service could be better.
Internet access was an important feature of my choice of hotel, and this was inoperative for my stay, which as it was a business trip caused great inconvenience. On a more general point, I feel it ridiculous that wi-fi access should be charged for in addition to standard room rates, it is now such a general requirement, an essential.
Small balcony overlooking city. Decent bathroom Service was abrupt almost to rudeness. Breakfast was poor - cold coffee and stale pastries. Ripped off by the taxi that the hotel called for us.
The best part is the location - right across from the train station. You can walk with your luggage directly to the hotel. The rooms were well appointed, spacious bathrooms, separate room for luggage - which was a plus.
fitness room, parking poor breakfast, location
Overall the hotel and room were very nice. Breakfast was included and it was delicious. Also, the restaurant was very nice for lunch and dinner. I was here to present at a conference and the conference rooms of the hotel were nice and they provided folders, papers, pens, and water for participants. The hotel was right next to the central metro station which was very convenient to get on the metro and do some sightseeing. However, I don't think this hotel is in a "tourist area" and it is more where the locals go to catch the bus and the metro. The hotel is in a sketchy area and the room I had was noisy. I would not go out after dark. I was sexually harassed on the street one night while I was trying to get dinner. During the day was okay though. The room was also cold at night and no matter what setting I put the thermostat at the temperature never changed. The tv and treadmill in the fitness center did not work. Also, the business center was not available due to renovations. In addition, I asked the front desk staff what/where there was to sightsee and I was just given a city map with no indication of where things were located. The woman just circled a broad area of the map and told me to go there. That was not helpful at all.
We dropped some cash in the lift and a staff picked it up and sent it back to us even before we realised it. His honesty should be commended! Housekeepers woke us up every morning at around 9:30am. Perhaps they could do the rooms at around 11 am without waking up the guests.
Excellent location, clean room and good breakfast. Extremely small room with very soft/worn mattress, safe deposit box in room does not work and extremely small shower stall (can't even bend down).
Location was very good, close to shopping area and the Port. Very safe that you can come back from your dinner late night by walking.
Everything was excellent - the room, the staff, the location. The staff were all very helpful and room service was very good. Check-in and out was very quick with minimal paperwork. Noise from the bar and reception area in the evening. The bar seemed to be open to the main hall and noise travelled to the rooms. However there was no noise from 12midnight so this was not a great problem.
This hotel is very clean and wide. The staff are almost friendly. The kind of the breakfast was not too much, but the taste was really good.I would highly reccomend this hotel. I cannot use WiFi in the room, but I can use it out of the room.
Everything was good, perticularly staff and location
In essence the hotel is a beautiful oasis of comfort and calm tucked away inside vibrant, noisy, beautiful Napoli. Some day,in years to come,I will be back with my wife and this where we will stay. Please write at least 15 words
First trip to Naples and this was a great choice of hotel. Situated in the back streets of what could be considered a 'fashion or shopping' district. Rooms great, very nice. Good size for Europe. Breakfast good too. Nothing out standing, but it was all fresh and well 'cared' for. I have a 5 star hotel working background - so can be very fussy. This was a beautiful hotel. Amazingly quiet considering it's location. Nope. The hotel is down a pedestrian only street - which is really only a hassle for the porters or taxi driver. Any extra few euros will get your bag carried by the taxi driver.
Hotel corridors were pretty. Everything else! Uncomfortable beds, inhospitable staff, Wi-Fi totally unusable, shower temperature fluctuated from scalding to freezing, and room was rather depressing. I would never recommend this hotel, nor would I stay here again.
The cleaniness of the hotel and room in particular was amazing, just wanted was needed after a day out sightseeing! The service was very good and the hotel staff were welcoming and polite, especially the reception staff. The choice of breakfast was very good, healthy choices as well as the more traditional fare. I would certainly use this hotel again if visiting Naples. No negative comment to make
Traveled a lot throughout Europe and never know what kind of hotel one will get. This was one of the top class hotels I've stayed in and would definitely go back. Very modern, clean and in a great safe location. You can see everything from the city to the harbor on foot. Hotel staff also has great recommendations on excursions to Capri, Sorrento, Positano, etc..
The room and the bathroom are renewed and very confortable
The quality of the hotel was excellent, decor and room-size great, the best we had in Italy The location is not the best, but stil within walking distance of highlights
Air cond. doesn't work well
The man at the reception did not speak English. So when I made a call, we could not have a conversation. We had to walk a little bit from the closest metro station but the hotel was good!
Efficiency of staff (e.g. arranging taxis), relatively easy access to public transport. Sparse breakfast selection, intra-hotel noise, shower cubicle in need of upgrade, including partly non-functioning soap dispenser; scarcity of conveniently close restaurants, area unexpectedly dirty (although this cannot be laid at the door of the hotel)
The view! The menu was limited and difficult to understand.
View from breakfast room was stunning. Rooms comfortable. Parking very expensive, but safe. The latter a plus in Italy. Bit far from city centre and difficult to reach without car. You have to use cable car, walk, take a very dirty metro train and walk for miles to basically see a very noisy city. Hotel Restaurant very expensive. No other eathing places nearby.
The room was nice and the views spectacular
Location overlooking bay of Naples Our room faced away from the Bay, when enquired about a room change it would have more than doubled the price
Magnificent view of Naples.
The location is spectacular, over the the edge of the Mediterranean and the restaurant has a great view over the beach The staff were not very helpful or welcoming.
The staff were very helpful and professional and made us feel very welcome. The hotel was very comfortable and the view of the Amalfi coast from the hotel was just spectacular. Cannot recommend enough
Good hotel with pleasant staff and a great view
Lobby room. Terrace restaurant. Good breakfast. Very bad connections of public transport to the hotel. No connection to the beach. No swimming pool (necessary during the summer months!).
I booked a smoking room with a view. I got a non-smoking room with a view of a brick wall. When we requested to change we got another non-smoking room with a view but had to pay extra for it. We tried to book a balcony table on the roof top terrace for dinner and we were told there was no need to book. When we went to dinner we were not allowed to sit on the terrace as there was a private function happening and instead were lead into a small dull room at the back of the terrace and finally I have to say the meal we received was appauling, the worst meal we had for the entire trip. I would have liked to have been told about the additional costs for rooms with views at the time of booking and also we should have been told about the function as we would have gone else where. The only part of the stay I enjoyed was leaving. I would not recommend this hotel. See above.
museum visit Naples
close to grocery store and walking distance to all attractions none
Friendly staff. Very old, tiny shower and bathroom, not in a very good neighborhood.
location is great, breakfast ok, room fine works going on in the street and so a lot of noise. I know these kind of works can take a lot of time (years) so be prepared
Clean and quiet. Good breakfast. Good location need the old city. The internet didn't work one night!
room nice and large. large flat screen TV. hotel staff friendly.room and bathroom clean. No view from our room or decent balcony. Window very small. resturant out of use during our stay.
The location was fantastic. The room was nice and spacious with a balcony overlooking the city and the breakfasts were good
I liked the cleanliness of the room and the cable tv. Nothing
Central location, quiet, nice rooms, good value for money. Will come back.
The location of the hotel was excellent for my needs. It was clean and tidy.
We made reservations for three nights, and we stayed only hours and next day rushed out of there. It was the worse stay in any hotel we have ever been to. Imagine the location being in the worst part of the city you live in. The room was small, atrocious, the chair was so overused that none of us could even sit on it. The bathroom was atrocious; tiny, no shelves, cabinets, counter top. We had to put our toiletry bags on the floor. Italy is our favorite country, but this hotel should be ashamed of themselves for even using the word "Palazzo". Everything. We ran out of there like bats out of hell. Atrocious! We are not the kind of family seeking luxury. You get what you pay for, but this is an embarrassment to the hotel business not to say Italy. The surrounding area was so bad, that the hotel staff lock the doors day and night.
Nice & clean hotel.Helpful stuff. The hotel is located next to passing train & train station. Therefore noisy & impossible to open windows.
Large room. Nice balcony. Friendly staff. The shower was awful. Literally a standing slot with a curtain and drain. There was no difference between the bathroom floor and the shower floor. Hotel smelt of cigarettes. Wi-Fi was spotty. Bed was very firm.
