We felt like we were stepping back in history, but with all modern conveniences. The staff was very friendly, and the supper was our favorite meal in Scotland. If we ever find ourselves in that part of Scotland again, we would definitely stay there a second time. We stayed in one of the cheaper rooms, but it didn't feel cheap at all.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and the supper was delicious!
Cons: The hotel gave plenty of ideas on what to do around Troon, but there wasn't much to do in the town itself.
