Hot Tub was good. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Good sized room. Water pressure caused the shower to not work at first but it eventually worked. Got woke up at 3:00 am by loud people out side our door.
Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly. The hotel is actually three different buildings spread across a city block. If you're in the first building (near the office) you have to walk outside to the last building if you want to use the hot tub. Breakfast was basically waffles or cereal.
As a family with older kids, we love the in town location. Less shuttling for parents as the kids can easily walk to the beach or walk to town. We also love the breakfast in the morning because it saves us money. The executive King rooms have a twin pullout sofa which was a great option. The rooms are spacious for a hotel room and we loved having the fridge and microwave in the room. The pillowtop bed was very comfortable! All the staff ( front desk, housekeeping, breakfast attendant and maintenance) are very friendly, helpful and timely! The laundry is very convenient for longer stays and the fitness room is clean and a nice amenity. Loved having beach towels for the pool available, too. We have stayed at this hotel in the past and we are never disappointed. We always try to book our stay at La Quinta when in Sandpoint. It's a great value for the price. Because Sandpoint is a town for families, it would be nice if the room configurations were more family friendly, like having a king or queen bed with a bunk bed. Some hotels where we have stayed have "bunk rooms" for families with multiple kids. A small kitchenette for extended stays would be appreciated, too.
Nice place to stay in a good location. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Location is great! Close to Schwietzer and in the middle of town. The guest next door had the tv turned up loud all night.
Our room was spacious and clean as was the entire property. They front desk clerk was very welcoming and friendly. The area is beautiful. Absolutely NOTHING was open around the hotel. No restaurants, cafés, bars, stores, etc. Fortunately we brought leftovers from lunch with us - the drive back to town isn't too far, but it would have been a big hassle as we arrived expecting for at least one restaurant to be available to guests.
