simple, clean and totally welcoming. Perfect in every way. Right bythe bech, quiet and very relaxing. Second visit this year and would come again next year.
Situation. Very isolated and autentic little village - very calm, no stress :-)
no shower curtain, problems with toilet and evacuation in general and a very bad smell in the corridors. Left without breakfast, because the personnel were at church until 11. Not possible to find breakfast anywhere else in this little village.
Pleasant hotel with good view. Good library. We were the only guests at the end of May!
We were not expected, but once we were given a room, owner rang us from Athens to welcome us! Despite being over a taverna we found it difficult to have a breakfast..
Good family hotel with taverna on a great beach, in centre of working village so interesting "local life" location. Excellent fresh food at taverna, friendly family owners.
The villa is very close to the beach and has a great view of the sea, the surroundings are beautiful, and there are barely any foreign tourists. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but almost no one speaks English, so communicating beyond the basics can be rather challenging. We loved it, this is the perfect place for a quiet relaxing holiday, reading (the place has quite a well-stacked mini library), swimming and sunbathing. I definitely recommend it.
Psari Forada is difficult to get to - buses only go there a couple of times a week, and by car, the road is a challenge, full of hairpin turns through the mountains, and badly marked...but not impossible. Also, not a place to go to if you're a strict vegetarian.
Great amosphere, totally authenting village with nice people, excellent food and wild beach with no tourists. Stay of few days was equal to whole week relax.
I would like to find in your site more family hotels similar to Villa Irida in villages in order to allow people to explore what the country and the people are like in real life, not only in tourist resorts.
Ocean view, just 1 min. walk to the beach. Balkony. clear ocean.
None. Nothing bad in the hotel. Just only by taxi to there to reach. There are buses, but only until Mirtos.
The hotel is very close to the beach.
The receptionist is never there. We've been waiting 45 minutes to check in and one hour to check out because there was never anyone at the reception, and we lso couldn't find someone! The doorhandle to the room was broken, the shower also, the bathroom was wet, and the nonsmoker room totally smelled after smoke. In the evenings we don't had hot water and often no water at all.
A place out from tourist crowd, only greek familes on a beatiful beach. The owner give us a little present from his farm.A lot of privacy in a place out of the tourist routes.Relax and a nice restaurant inside.
There aren't direct roads to Ierapetra or Myrtos. About one hour by car to go there. The direct road is only for a jeep in off-road.
When you stay at Villa Irida in Viannos, you'll be near the bay and steps from Sidonia Beach. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and a library. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
Policies vary by room type and provider.
