The setting, the pools,
Nothing really. The rooms are a bit run down and need sort of a renovation. Our stay was really good however. Wi-fi is a bit weak in the rooms
This hotel is a little beauty! The people behind the hotel really have tried to think of everything, the small details, to make it as pleasant as possible for you. Three pools and especially the wood burning hot tubs scattered in an idyllic scenery have captivated us. Access to the remote and desolate beach, the walk to the hanging bridge, the cows on the hotel grounds, all there to make sure you will not be bored after a hard day of laying on the beach watching the surfers.
But really? What happened to the breakfast? Close your eyes during breakfast because in contrast to the rest of the hotel, it will not captivate you.
For the price, we expected a great resort, according to the pictures. Outdated installations, the 80s said hi. Old bathrooms, carpet and the smoke from the fireplaces in the hall covered the whole hotel. Disappointing.
The beach was absolutely gorgeous. The hotel grounds were unique. My family loved the heated indoor pool.
Old furniture, fixtures. No coffee/tea in the rooms. No face cloths for washing one's face. Very old condition of game room. It was cold in the room and it was very hard to get the temperature regulated to feel comfortable.
