Pros: The room was extremely clean. The breakfast was very tasty and the bed was plush and comfy.
Cons: The breakfast was great so I would have loved a bigger portion or seconds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From booking to extending my stay, Lynn was super-accommodating and warm. The Crosby House was immaculate with much attention to detail. The breakfast was not only from scratch but made fresh with delicious fresh fruit and a hot entrée, served in a beautiful intimate dining room. The other couple that were at breakfast were gluten-free and Lynn provided gluten-free, individualized breakfasts for them! I will go back for sure and recommend this bed and breakfast, it is worth paying the additional cost and you get much more in return than staying at the local hotel chains.
9.3 Excellent

Pros: Everyone was so friendly and Maria's breakfasts were superb. We also enjoyed hiking in the forest directly from the backyard of the B&B.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow this is a great place to stay and Maria is a wonder woman! Firstly the communication with the accommodation was excellent. Maria noticed that I had various dietary intolerances and she contacted me for further information. During our stay she made a special cooked breakfast for me on both days; coconut waffles (non diary) with cinnamon fruit and polenta cake with Italian sausage on the second morning. Maria always seemed to be baking and providing biscuits and goodies for the guests, the smell was wonderful. She was so helpful in many other ways, giving local information for places to see and eat. We really enjoyed eating in Duo on both nights and they even make me a special chocolate pudding! You can walk to the restaurants, it takes about 15 mins. The room was quaint, clean and very comfortable; we had a jacuzzi bath. I cannot rate this place highly enough for the warm welcome and comfortable stay.
Cons: Nothing it was all great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Maria the inn keeper. Great breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice fruit to start and good, not oversized portions.

Pros: Nice hotel, friendly staff, very nice room with a view overlooking the river, fairly comfortable bed. There's no business center; however, the clerk was very accommodating for use of a PC.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Breakfast was perfect. Susan made sure to meet everyone's needs. I am vegan. My husband a meat eater, and the other couple there were vegetarians. Susan made sure that there was something for everyone. Davids Bread is awesome. The location was so peaceful with a beautiful brook near by and only a short drive into downtown Keen.
Cons: There is not one thing I did not like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was fabulous including the room, breakfasts and our hosts! Susan and David created lovely, delicious breakfasts that were truly wonderful. Such a delightful way to start the day. Our room was beautifully decorated and the AC was much appreciated on hot days! Everything was scrupulously clean and comfortable, a peaceful haven. Both Susan and her son David obviously enjoy their roles as innkeepers, they were warm, gracious and very accommodating.
Cons: Nothing--Everything was great!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very easy to find off Route 10. The breakfast was simply wonderful. Susan and her son David are warm, charming hosts. They are in the process of revitalizing the gardens around the home, which some travelers will find quite interesting. Our room was lovely and the darling bath/shower was especially great after a week off the coast of Maine in an historic schooner. David recommended we try Nick's Restaurant for dinner, and we had a super meal there just a hop, skip and jump from the B&B.
Cons: David warned us that the room had only a double bed, which I assured him was not a problem. Little did I know my husband would hog 3/4 of the bed. It would not be a problem, I don't think, for two smaller travelers. We are not smaller travelers, either of us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious and presented beautifully. You could tell a lot of thought had gone into it. The inn itself was lovely and quaint with many little touches to make it cozy. Best of all, the owners were warm and welcoming.
Cons: Not a thing.

Pros: Inn is charming. Breakfast lovingly prepared and provided. Close proximity to Keene.
Cons: Room on the small side; bathroom very tight.

Pros: comfortable and inviting

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Kaylie helped us check in. Her positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and helpfulness was above and beyond expectation. She helped us fee so welcome and also gave us ideas of how to spend our time in Brattleboro. We were so grateful for her assistance. Our bed was very comfortable. I am very picky about my sheets and was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they were. I appreciated the pillow options available also.
6.8 Good
Cons: Room and pool was a little dirty. Not enough staff when hotel was at full capacity.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and breakfast
Cons: Room cleaning staff barely cleaned the room daily. They often didn’t vacuum and hardly made up the bed. Rooms were not made up until after 3 pm.
6.3 Good
Pros: I liked the welcoming of the entrance and how clean it was, along with cookies and tea in the afternoon. I liked the decor of the hotel and the updates. The breakfast was great with all the healthy offering.
Cons: The room was so hot at night even though we put on the AC. The fitness room was kind of small to workout out in. Plus there were no towels. The pool was gorgeous looking but kind of cool.

Pros: The breakfast, especially the sausage gravy and biscuits.
Cons: I have an unknown $50 charge on my credit card from my stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast with many gluten free options.
Cons: Our only complaint is our king size mattress has seen better days.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean, nice fire pit outdoors, quiet.
Cons: No hot tub, breakfast not so good.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Easy access from major routes. Not far from a good restaurant.
Cons: The hotel rooms are very dated. They feel old and a bit shabby.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great
6.8 Good
Pros: It was clean. The location was good. Reasonable price.
Cons: I had called to request rooms in a quiet location, however, when we checked in there was no record of my request in the reservation. Because it was late in the day, the only rooms left were directly across from the elevators. Other hotels have honored our request by putting us at the end of the hallway. I'm not sure why that was not possible here. The desk clerk was very matter of fact, and never apologized, or smiled, or acknowledged that a mistake had been made in neglecting to note the telephoned request. A little sympathy from the desk clerk would have gone a long way in making me not feel totally blown off. Fortunately, this night the hotel was reasonably quiet, and we did not suffer too much. It was a bummer that we could not get adjoining rooms with our kids. Beds are a bit hard.

Pros: The only thing I like it was that the place is very clean.
Cons: I had no water what so ever in my room, couldn’t shower, couldn’t brush my teeth. The owner knew the room they gave me has those problems and even though they had another room that was empty, they gave me a room which the heat barely work and no water. I wish they had offer to refund me one night stay after the amount I paid for a room without proper heat and water. Very disappointed.

Pros: Room was clean. The staff was very nice and efficient.
Cons: TV reception was terrible. Marriott needs to step up their game, and fix the TV reception...no excuses! No free coffee in the lobby, and no free breakfast, two amenities we always look for.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Grace, at front desk was professional and friendly. Informed me of cafe right off of lobby, which was perfect with great options!! Son used gym facilities which were clean and easily accessible, not located in the basement or out of the way corner. In town location, short walk to main street.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy access to car parking lot and restaurant. Good sound proof and privacy
Cons: Electronic keys were dicey. TV selection not as wide as I’m used to. Slider patio door rail needs to be cleaned and greased. Thought I’d get on the second floor and enjoy sitting on the “balcony” you advertised . Whoops....the first floor turned out fine.

Pros: Food excellent, lots of choices
9.5 Excellent

7.0 Good
Pros: The room was very clean and the staff friendly. I would probably come back.

7.5 Good
Pros: The front desk staff was friendly and kind. Always a great way to start a trip.
Cons: I could hear the person above us walking around. No fault of theirs just unexpected.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: we didn't like anything about it
Cons: Well, for starters the place was being remodeled and we were not informed at time of booking. It is way out of the way. The foyer smelled from a very concentrated freshener which gave me an instant headache. The the a/c wasn't working. In fairness we were given a different room and the bill was lowered, but the place was awful.
6.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: The barking dog could have stayed elsewhere
8.3 Excellent
Pros: food served was too salty. no gluten free options
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: The attitude of the person at the front desk. I was paying cash for my stay and she refused to take the cash insisting that I had to put it on a card and when I explained that it wouldn't go through on the card she still insisted that I use the card. She said that he would accept cash on check out however she wanted more money than I had available for the incidental fee whatever that is. I found her to be extremely unhelpful I ended up leaving and not staying and I would never recommend that hotel to anyone.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The staff was accommodating and the location is good
Cons: The property is under construction and no notice was given of that fact.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great and far more than I expected from the hotel. It was a hot breakfast and there were many items to chose from. It was easy to find the hotel and near several restaurants and near the event I was attending.
Cons: I did not like the price of the room. I do not feel that the hotel should have doubled its price from April to June. There was nothing so exceptional to warrant that price raise.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The facility is undergoing renovations so is a bit of a mess. They have moved breakfast into two guest rooms, so the dining space is tight, but breakfast is ok. The rooms are showing their age. It took 4 rooms before we found one that was clean, and just barely at that.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious and plentiful
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Coffee great. Friendly staff. Clean room.
Cons: The lobby renovation... but, I’m sure it will look nice when it is completed!

Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and movie theatre were bonuses. Walking distance to many restaurants and stores a very convenient factor
Cons: The lack of individual control of room temperature. That was remedied however when maid brought us a few blankets
6.0 Good
Pros: Great downtown location with easy parking, a great staff, and loads of character.
Cons: While I can appreciate the character of an older building, or a place with a story, this place seems like it really could use an update and a scrubbing. They should at least add heat and AC and have a 24 hour front desk. Fine for a night or two.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were the best part. Super nice and helpful.
Cons: bed was super firm
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent continental + breakfast.Extremely courteous and helpful staff. The Art Deco style gave the hotel an interesting touch, especially our access to the Beautiful Latchis Theater.
Cons: Poor parking facilities. They were not up front about the parking challenges. Fortunately, we stayed over the weekend so we could use public parking lot at night w/o charge.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Our room was upgraded so we expected Alittle something more special.. The traffic was extremely loud and kept us up at night. Our house is the same vintage so we appreciate older hotels. But they're not upgrading. They're only putting Band-Aids on corners. However we love Brattleboro. Great restaurants and setting.
4.5 Okay
Pros: The town was nice and had that old world charm. The Hotel fits nicely with the town and had a nice breakfast. The theater also fits nicely with the hotel and the room had a key instead of those key cards which added to its charm.
Cons: The rooms do not have temperature control and this needs to be rectified. Today customers expect to be able to control the rooms temperature... this is not the 1920's. There are solutions so the Hotel can keep its outside appearance yet put air conditioning in each room that the customers can control. Paint your bath tubs and bathrooms. They need it and the windows need to get an update. very difficult to open and I would hope new windows are made that allow the Hotel to keep the historic external appearance. I am trying to be fair but you really need to put some effort into maintenance and painting. Also in the vicinity of the hotel in the downtown area I could see that repairs like broken windows along the river front and building maintenance are needed. Please request the town to push the owners to get those fixed or mended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location near everything...neat old property that has been well taken care of
Cons: Nothing
6.5 Good
Pros: Being in a movie theatre
Cons: The rooms need updating. The windows really need cleaning.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: Got absolutely nothing for the money I spent
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location in town & the attached movie theatre
Cons: Could always enjoy a complimentary room upgrade!

Cons: There was nothing not to like. Great value and extremely clean.

Pros: Perfect spot if visiting schools, very much like just being at home.
Cons: When you sit outside at Club VT, which is the pub on the property, the view is of the highway.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: That they opened up again
Cons: AC old unit
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Comfortable bed and Relatively quiet except for occasional train whistle.
Cons: Manager was a bit curt at first. This should e rated as a 2 star hotel, not a 3 star. The maids were SO noisy from 9:00 am, banging each door as they entered & exited. And then knocked loudly on mine at 10:50 am. Check out wasnt until 11:00! Never aga

6.8 Good
Pros: It was close to where we had to go. People were friendly. amble parking. The breakfast was good, except eggs.
Cons: WiFi wasn't working, I had to call desk to get it working. The Drain in tub was plugged. The large first step going into room was too high. Air Cond/ heater should have been on thermosate.
