This was a very nice hotel especially for the price
Excellent restaurant, menu prices good, restaurant staff very helpful and friendly, reception staff friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Better quality than usual Hotel. Nice large room with two large windows. Booked double room, when we got there, we got twin beds. Requested change but no double room available first night, and we decided to stay in the room provided for the next two nights. No comfortable chairs in the room to relax. Sky TV did not work well till we requested help.
Good value for money, clean and nice hotel near shopping area.
The gift I found in the room
Nothing much, no restaurant or bar in hotel, no internet..who would like it?oh.. They had small jucuzzi tub. Drove through snowing road.. Nothing to eat aftera long driving. Restaurant did not open that day. Seem I was the only guest that day. No internet(but paid) but wireless does not work in the room so had to go to lobby... Where connection is very slow and could not access one web sit. With such bad connection they deducted the connection fee...but I had to waste my time going up and down the hotel
A lovely hotel with very kind (English) speaking owners. Hotel used to be an old farm and is completely reshaped to a very luxery hotel with marvelous rooms. View from the hotel to the valley is great! Hotel lies in the middle of an excellent wine area (Piemonte). Absolutely no complaints
Absolutele a delicious place to wind down, you can do nothing,or very little. The Patrons, scenery are gorgeous& there is noboby on the roads.
The owners were very nice and friendly and the rooms were nice, big and quiet. Everything was great.
We had a "junior suite" with a balcony and an amazing view. The room was very large and was well equipped. Service with a smile and tips about the region. It was truffle season!
Very nice and familiar hotel in a modern but also traditional style with kind hotel keepers. The rooms and the whole hotel were very clean and inviting. Our room was more a suite than a room with a huge and fully equipped bathroom and had a nice view over the surrounding hills. The breakfast was not very rich but freshly prepared with real espresso/cappuccino. The only constraint was some noise from the nearby country road at night - but that was not a big problem.
We enjoyed to stay at the Locanda Del Melograno. Thanks to the owners who provided us with all the information we needed for a beautiful walk and places for wine tasting.
Friendly staff, excellent location, great room None
location and views and peace & quiet directions to get there, very complicated and not obvious where the hotel is and very narrow streets for large cars.
THis was a stunningly beautiful hotel in a perfect location. The hotel is still being developed but this did not affect out experience. The restaraunt was fine dining but very friendly, they even arranged a birthday cake for my 13 year old. Almost no english is spoken except by the manager of the restaurant but if you are willing, communication is possible. We loved this hotel.
The staff was incredibly friendly, the room huge and welcoming and clean. Our little dog was welcome - and it was all extremely pleasant. Great atmosphere. Lovely little town and gorgeous views. Nothing.
Ottimo! Perfecto! We arrived exhausted from an unpleasant stay at a hotel in Torino and this place was perfect. It's been converted from a monastery and no expense has been spared to give an amazing holiday, it was almost like a retreat, and the views of Siestere and the surrounding valleys are spectacular. The heating is very good, everything you could want is provided and the owners are very helpful but not intrusive. The Restaurant Antico Monasterio is done beautifully. The whole thing was an experience we won't forget. we wanted to extend our stay and were reluctant to leave.
Excellent restaurant with a complete menu. Beautiful mountain view from the restaurant terrace. Very friendly owner family. Room not cleaned during our 3 night stay. Isolated location in a small village.
There was an element of surprise as the gates to the hotel courtyard were opened. We were immediately met with smiles by the friendly family staff who were excited to give us a tour of the complex...and then showed us to our apartment which was palacial in size but warm and inviting. It had been delightfully restored to honor the ancient structure... a wonderful mix of antique and modern furnishings and conveniences...nice little kitchen, great heating system even in October!)free wifi. Wonderful restaurant! We booked for 3 days, A totally unique experience and a great place to base ourselves to explore all the little hill towns nearby!
Why this place is called a ressort, is a mistery: No sauna, bar, pool, massages or other forms of wellness. Heating and wlan did not work. one roll, sliced into 6 pieces for the 2 of us for breakfast, along with one tiny pack of butter. Part of the premises still in ruin. Adjacent restaurant only in operation during weekends. This establishment is sailing under the wrong flag! Our idea of a palazzo is different. It is a simple country lodging, nothing else.
There is nothing we liked about our stay. This hotel was barely functioning. It has no resources and the food was very disappointing.
Convenient location, easy to find from train station, friendly staff, quiet and comfortable room, nice breakfast.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. Good position in the centre of town. Limited parking. Wifi only worked in the bar.
The staff was terrific The location good The facilities updated and very clean Food for purchase was nearby We were very satisfied Breakfast could offer abit more variety for the health and diet conscious
The staff were superb! The wireless access was inconsistent.
The excellent staff and the quality of construction and materials
The rooms were beautiful and clean. There was a door that could separate the kids' part of the room from ours which made it convenient. We arrived at night and it was a bit slow at check-in.
The breakfast. This was not a four star hotel by any stretch of the imagination, and the cost was too much for the value received. Indeed, it cost as much as the excellent four star hotel in Genoa where we stayed the next night.
Vicinity to Train Station & Bus Station, the staff of Hotel, especially the english speaking staff. nope, everything was just perfect
the people, the location, all very good. internet service was sketchy
The room was comfortable and the people in reception were always helpful.
Nice countryside plase!
Very nice rooms and very comfortable and quiet.
Food and drink, view wonderful scenery, very nice building
High standard of design, comfort and relaxed atmosphere No
Lovely staff, wonderful and cosy hotel, exqisite gourmet restaurant, beautiful and stylish rooms. I would have kindly recommended to somehow change the "SPA payment policy". I travel a lot, but have never ever faced the fact that a hotel guest should pay for the entrance to the SPA...It would have been much better to increase a room charge for this 35-40 euros, but eliminate the payment for the SPA entrance. It was my kind suggestion, but everything was lovely apart from that! Thank you!
Nice location in the middle of vineyards, quiet countryside. The staff gave us very warm welcome; they were really helpful and friendly all the time. The room was clean and big enough for two people. The outdoor swimming pool and the wine cellar are a big plus! Wine variety is really good. I would recommend this hotel for couples who want to spend relaxing holiday in the countryside. Breakfast could contain a bit more options.
It is the perfect place for a weekend break - we went for Easter and it was lovely - stunning country side with the Alps in the far distance and rolling hills covered in grape vines all around. Cascina Spinerola is a friendly, family run hotel, and feels like staying with family. We were made to feel very welcome - the family made every effort to please us and make sure we had everything we needed. Most of the food and the wine is made on site and is exceptionally good - especially the wine!
the hospitality of the stuff
The welcome from this most attentive family was so warm. The hotel room was spotlessly clean and the pride they showed in their service is a rareity. For us it was fabulous as we had a car but this hotel could be considered a little of the beaten track without your own transport....
The hotel was modern and clean with a pleasant design, the breakfast was nice We arrived at 10 in the evening and were informed that there is no dinner or even room service available. There was wi fi only in the reception area. The location of the hotel is a little bit far from the main road
Wonderful hotel staff and facilities at there. i wish to again come back...
This was a positive surprise. Very pleasant place with friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms. Lot of local flavor in house design and furniture. Located in the middle of Moncalvo vineyards with nice views to the village and surrounding hills. Superb pool and excellent local food and wine. Children (9 & 10 yrs) enjoyed the stay as well.
Beautiful setting, wonderful staff (could not have been more helpful and hospitable), incredible views, wonderful food, great wine. The local village is a bit quiet with a limited choice of restaurants but Cascina Spinerola itself is a haven - so I'd suggest stay in the hotel!
Hotel facilities and staff were excellent. The restaurant offers high quality food at reasonable prices and made dinners extremely convenient especially for people with very young children.
an absolutely lovely hotel, peaceful and relaxing, a home away from home. I caouldn't ask for any better. I'll always go there again .
The reception and restaurant staff spoke good English and were very hospitable and helpful. The location was good, near the autostrada (but see next comment). The food was brilliant, especially the risotto - bellissimo! It was difficult to find, because when we entered the postcode on our satnav it took us to a deserted building in a village called Ossiminiano, just outside Alessandria. We had to stop and ask 3 different people for directions. It turned out that we had driven past it. If there had been a more prominent sign outside the hotel we wouldn't have had so much trouble.
Very Friendly staff Nothing
The only way to get internet access, they said, was in a double room for single use. Since I really needed it, it cost me in total 10 euro to get the normaly 5 euro internet access.
Relaxed, spacious, clean and comfortable, friendly and helpful
staff extemely helpful and friendly, easy access off motorway, evening meal good but breakfast not so good but adequate, easy free parking
the food was very good, and the hotel was very comfortable.
Location of the hotel is great for a overnight stop since it's at stone throw from highway.Staff is extremely polite and helpful. Dinner was great as they use excellent raw material.Good value for money Room is...confortable and hotel offered me a bottle of wine too !!
Spatious room, clean, friendly staff, excelent price at the time we were there, in november. A bit cold in the bathroom.
the courtesy of employees the hotel is next to the prison and is impossible to reach alessandria downtown without a car
Modern, clean rooms. Just off main autostrade, but despite that remarkably quiet. Friendly desk staff.
The Castello was charming and tasteful and located in a setting that was so bucolic and beautiful as to almost seem unreal. A memorable stay.
fantastic location & pool
The family is wonderful. We arrived after midnight and when we finally were able to locate them they graciously came right over and helped us into our room. This is a wonderful location to use as a base to explore the Piedmont area. The rooms are very beautiful and comfortable. The grounds are lovely and there is a gorgeous swimming pool. The Relais is also a winery where we had a great tour and wine tasting. Breakfast is included and it was delicious. We can't wait to come back and stay longer!
Great location! staff excellent
It was a spectacular location. Very quite and relaxing and I felt rather special staying there. There was no bar, however wine from the winery was on sale. There was also no restaurant on site and you had to drive to the nearest one.
the location, the wine, the building and the people....very gentle and authentic! breakfast
The Hotel is really good. Everything was perfect. I liked everything: staff, breakfast, room with a nice view, very clean, very confortable, nice bathroom. Great.
The location of the hotel was fantastic, set in a castle with its own vineyard. The rooms were very large and well decorated and equipped. The hotel provided great views from the pool. There is a wine shop on site and a wine museum. I believe the staff are the owners and they were all very helpful and attentive. The breakfast was excellent. Overall this was a really great place to stay and left you with the feeling of having stayed somewhere very special.
Nice, relaxed and wonderful surroundings. We loved the size and style of the Maxi Suite.. Wonderful pool area.
The staff is awesome and the rooms and hotels grounds are very very nice
Nice location and nature around, but a car is needed, helpfull staff, ample bathroom lack of sound isolation between rooms, corridor and rooms,
Its peaceful location and good pool and breakfast choice The expensive and unchanging dinner menu
Good taste, late dining , very clean, friendly staff Quite difficult to find from the high way , no mirror in the room !
Wonderful romantic atmosphere, far from hustle and bustle with all the conveniences and comfort one can ask for.
The location was beautiful and really peaceful. The staff was very friendly. It really felt like an escape to a different world. The double room where we stayed was not that comfortable although I saw a suite which was very nice. The dinner in the restaurant was not that impressive.
Pleasant location in the heart of wine country, good access to nearby cities and restaurants, good pool for the kids. Good evening meal in the hotel provided by a nearby restaurant. Grape picking starts early in the morning - so if you don't mind the noise - it's great!
Friendly staff and peacefull ambience in a superb setting surrounded by vineyards. A complementary bottle of wine would've been nice given the local wine industry, but thats all i can come up with.
Very nice hotel. We were with our 2 year old and the staff gave us a room with garden, very nice! We were told that breakfast was not so good but we found it ok.We would like to come back one day.
staff were warm freindly and extremely helpful room spacious clean and comfortable breakfast could be improved
Relaxing, nice place, perfect location if you are intersted in wine from the district Stayed there for from Thursday to Friday and all the three nights there was a happening in the evening with very load music and noice and it did not ended before late
