Beautifully situated at the outskirts of Arachova, minutes from Delfi. Very nice hotel, great view, charming dining room and very nice staff. If only the indoor pool water, right next to the dining room, were heated...
The Rafina bus from the airport takes you right to the hotel for only $4. Its location on the port provided lots of fresh seafood restaurants.
Hotel staff is very courteous, resourceful. The hotel is in quiet place, good for resting and relaxing. too far from airport and the city (Athens).
proximity to the airport
Ease of finding, connection to airport great, staff at concierge very helpful service in restuarant was not the best, food was great though
The hotel was clean and its features basic. Seemed more like a 1970s-80 vintage rather than this century. Breakfast buffet was basic but nothing above that. The bathrooms were small and represented a prior time like the 70s. NO parking caused us to look for 30 minutes when returning on a Saturday night. The hotel desk just told us to find something on the street. The evening bar staff was extremely slow caring more about how close to closing time it was then actually waiting on us.
everything. i would stay there again. without fail
Many sea food restrant within working distance. Looks like family hotel operation, sometimes running out of people. But nice hotel.
near the ferry, 30 minutes to Airport by Bus.
I had to book a last minute hotel because we knew we were going to miss the last ferry out of Rafina due to flight problems. The room was clean, the bus from the airport dropped us right in front of the hotel, and the location was great - restaurants and ferry in walking distance. The hotel could stand to be upgraded/renovated.
Proximity to the airport Parking accomadations
Great location to and from the airport. Very comfortable clean rooms, friendly staff and restaurants had a descent variety of good food.
We could walk to the hotel from the airport. Rooms were large, clean and very nice.
Location, Friendly and helpful staff. Valet person was very held up I tumult to check u funds olVe for dinner and return rental car . Kudos to staff. Rooms need electronic upgrade, more receptacles, more light and Lise the cord to the remote control.
The location is the primary reason we stay here. The center of Athens is nearly an hour away so being able to just walk across the street to the airport is priceless, especially for flights leaving at odd hours. Secondly, it is ever so comfortable and quiet. I can't think of anything we did not like. Obviously, it would be great if it cost less but "you get what you pay for".
I had to cancel travel plans for fear of safety in travel through Istanbul. The hotel refused to issue a refund.
Cannot be closer to the airport than that. - The shower was leaking. The noise of the water falling on the floor woke me up all night. - The T.V. stopped working at midnight (?!) - There were hairs in the bath that were not mine. - They charged me 7 euros at the bar for a small bottle of water. I know it's supposed to be a luxury hotel, but come on.
Great location and proximity to airport. Very convenient for early/late airport departures/arrivals. Nice lobby and restaurants. Rooms are Comfortable and clean, but a little dated and smelled of stale smoke.
Super convenient location and friendly, efficient staff; quiet and comfortable room Long, grim hallway
Walk across driveway and you are in the airport best bed I have ever slept on. No noise from the airport. Didn't like the food at their cafe. Asked for pizza with little cheese, and received undercooked pie swimming in cheese. Bathroom was nice, but showerhead was completely broken. Room was very tiny.
Location Bit outdated but can't stay any closer than this
This is the only hotel at the Athens Airport which is convenient for a one night stay. Luckily it is a very nice hotel and literally at the airport. It is also conveniently located on the train line to the city, Acropolis and other important sites which gives the one day layover traveler ease to the airport and all the main attractions. Enjoy
The location to the airport is fantastic, only the Grand Hyatt in DFW has a closer hotel to the ticket counter. Excellent, responsive staff.
Easy to locate. Clean, modern facilities. Room was very comfortable and restful. Three issues: 1. I sent an e-mail asking questions and it was never answered. 2. The web said that there was suttle transportation to and from the hotel....It was hard to find and did not run early enough for us toe use in the morning resulting in a significant and unexpected cost. 3. I think 12 km is quite a bit farther from the airport than I expected. I would recommend the hotel but would make sure that the person knew the facts....not close and no reliable suttle service.
The location is very convenient: only 10 minutes from the airport, without the excessive cost of the other hotel (the one which is right at the airport) Quick check in and out Courteous personnel, decent restaurant Room furniture is new, good looking and functional Shuttle to/from airport included (but not at night!) I ended up in a room for smokers because apparently there were no non -smoking rooms left. At night, the smell in the air was unpleasant. Do hotels still need to have rooms for smokers? The shuttle service to the airport does *not* cover the early -morning flights. Taxi is 30€
Very nice hotel with good sized rooms. Staff was very accommodating with booking a cab for us at 500AM for our early flight at 625. We ordered room service and the food was delicious! The airport shuttle only starts after 530am so we will had to pay for a 28 Euro taxi. This was not advertised anywhere. But still for overall cost, value and convenience it is worth staying here!
The rooms were big and clean. Did not offer value for money, the shuttle did not operate at all hours and breakfast was not included. The hotel was overpriced.Complementary services such as massage were not free and should have been for the price that was paid. The hotel is a 4 star hotel, not a 5 star hotel as was claimed.
Modern, staff was friendly, great shuttle service to the airport. We had an early flight, they had coffee and cakes waiting at 3:30 in the morning prior to our departure. Coffee and fridge not stocked. Shower didn't work at first. And we had single beds - was told no Kings were available - completely bummed.
Brand new facility designed for business travellers with nice rooms and amenities. The location of the hotel is 10 km from the airport. Their shuttle does not run 1100-1500, but that is not noted in the hotel information. A cab will cost you 15 euro, or you can take the X95 public bus if you know what you're doing. The hotel staff is rude, only caters to business clientele. The AC does not go below 22C, making the room hot and humid even though it was only in the 60sF outside. The extra bed is not a bed, but a cot--we had better beds in much smaller European hotels. It's 15 minutes on the shuttle to get here--stay in another Greek hotel and spend 15 more minutes on the shuttle to get to the airport--you can have a better stay for less money.
Excellent accomodation, convenient to airport, excellent breakfast included in breakfast package. limited access to only 2 internet linked computers
Clean, comfortable room The bar and restaurant were extremely over priced for the quality of food and service.
The Holiday Inn is a nice hotel close to the airport which is why we chose it since we were just passing through on our way home. The rooms are clean, well appointed and nice for a business hotel. They have a shuttle that picks you up and takes you to the airport which most hotels do not have. The resturant was over priced and the menu looked not appealing. There are no other resturants around the hotel making you either have to go to the airport for a meal or downtown which could be expensive if you take taxi
5 star hotel don't provide their transit guests shower or earlier check in.
large room, close to airport Food too expensive, bring a bottle of wine and some cheeses and have a picnic. Also, the Ecko petrol stration has some good sandwiches and beer/wine
Please write at least 15 words I stayed in a room with a connection door between the two rooms, so I could hear every word of my neighbours.
Beautiful view by the pool with a bar (not on the water but still nice) great breakfast, helpful staff, 5min from port, free wifi, own patio Very hard beds, pool closed just as we got there to swim 6pm, shower curtain gross, very small bathroom, not many food choices around (less than 4 or so)
This hotel turned out to be a Club Med, and once I understood that it was easier to deal with the staff. Generally the staff spoke French well; some spoke English fairly well. The location is not bad if you need to get to Athens airport quickly. It can be noisy as people are largely there to vacation. No online access in the rooms, but email access was available in the lobby. The place is a resort and tends to book large groups, so be aware of that if planning to eat in the restaurant. All meals are self-serve unless you order a sandwich at the bar.
Fabulous pool and facilities. The internet was only available at 4 Euros per hour - absolutely ridiculous. Internet access in 2010 is like water - its expected - and very few places charge for internet anymore and the cost at this hotel was very excessive. Bar drinks were also over priced. The food is OK but not great.
Beautiful views and excellent food. Both the breakfast buffet and the dinner buffet offered a wide choice of dishes.
it's an ok hotel for someone who wants to spend a week in a packed resort The reason we picked the hote was the location ("15 min from the airport") but in fact is far away from athens airport, from town taxis didn't want to take us there and the cost of the taxi was outarageous. Generally speaking not a place to stay for a single night on your way out of athens.
It is close to the airport is why we booked it, great sea view, in the height of summer it would be lovely. we did not like being told that it was winter and that at the resturant they had two choices for dinner, beef and chicken. we are vegetarians and had very limited food choice if any.
Nothing Staff attitude, misleading information, terrible meals,
View was beautiful and easy access to their beach and pools Too far from city center (~1 hour) and there are no shuttles that would bring you there. You had to order a taxi each time.
The location (near to airport), the looks of the hotel, the sea shore, the staff, the food (especially the Italian Dinner), the beautiful view from our room Althogh high temperatures, the hotel did not operate the air condition! Their poor explanation was that some people like heating and some like cooling, so they didn`t turn on the air condition at the hotel at all! Never heard such a pretext. Unfortunatly, it was very hot in the room, so we had to open wide the balcony doors, but it was very noisy outside at the swimming pool until 2-3 a.m., and there were also bothering mosquitos. At short, we could not sleep that night! We think that for that sum of money we paid, we were entitled to get some air condition ( a thing we got in much more cheaper hotels).
The view from the room Arrived at 7 pm. No evening meal, I was offered a club sandwich which was covered in stale crisps and was itself inedible. Breakfast the nest morning was scheduled for 8:30 but did not materalise. I attempted a walk by the beach but was persued by a pack of stray dogs. It was all a bit run down and seedy. I had wanted to use the hotel as an slightly out of town cheaper alternative to airrport accommodation but the taxi fares there and back made this a waste if time
Clean. Nice staff This hotel IS NOT an "airport" hotel as I had thought. It was almost 30 minutes from the airport and it cost me $60 US by cab to get back to the airport. Also not really enough food facility available and in a rather isolated area where I had to walk 25 minutes at night to find a place to eat
Worst stay in a hotel for some time, Overpriced, arrogant reception, mediocrity rules throughout, Worth of 2 stars not 4 and certainly not good value, Go somewhere else is my summary Maintainence of hotel, Charge for use of indoor pool area, Tired bathrooms, Package holiday feel but high prices charged
Convenience. View from room; helful dining room staff. No extra pillows or face tissues in room
Spa was great !! Nice & friendly quiet hotel. Great views of the sea from the room. Breakfast buffet did not vary at all & some of the cooked items were always cold. It was a bit of a trek up hill to the bus stops. Not much choice of restaurants in the town, not much to do in the town.
The view from the room is spectacular. Very quiet. Very clean. Very comfortable. I highly recommend.
the view was nice, pool nice, nice balcony for sunset and sea view, good staff. poor girl in the inside bar had no idea how to make a capucinno, but the outside pool bar was well equiped with everything
l location was too remote, the traffic is very inconvenient. But from the sea near, the landscape is very beautiful Hotels are not attached to the network to use, expensive hotel restaurant does not exceed the value of property.
Nice location (only 20km from Athens); Wonderful hotel facilities (we really enjoyed the wellness center); Very fine breakfast and lunch/dinner. The hotel is (almost) only accessible by car.
Excellent room, with fabulous sea view. Very good breakfast with many choices for all tastes. Good size bathrooms, with full size bath, unusual in this day and age. Thin walls, could easily hear TV and conversations from next room.
facilities, very nice and helpful staff, good choice for breakfast there was no shop's at all. Very difficult to get any things, if you need smt.
The hotel room is big and spacious, provides a nice sea view. Location is too far from Rafina, and there is no nearby public transportation. Staff are unfriendly at all
Peaceful, clean, upscale environment, nice staff, great room.
The manager and staff of the hotel were very friendly and willing to go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It should be noted that this hotel is not at the beach, but rather is a block in from the beach. On the other hand, a hotel with a view of the beach would have a noisey road running betwen it and the beach. This hotel is a bit like a lovely oasis.
The pool and access to internet.
Thestaff is excellent and you cant go wrong by eating in the hotel for dinner. Everything was made by hand, fresh and delicious! Its not close enough to town to walk and the rooms are bit small.
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff Distance from Athens city and also airport was completely lied about on the website. Apparently they said it was 11kms from the airport but yet it took us 2 buses on the way to the hotel and 1hr 10 min airport transfers on the way back
Reasonably comfortable and pleasant atmosphere in the hotel. Staff were appropriate and helpful. The pool and grounds area was nice. About 200 -300 meters from the sea. A little far from the city. The hall carpets were a little stained and shabby looking. There was no WiFi on any of the floors except on the ground. The orange juice at breakfast was very watered down. Need to have car to go anywhere (except the sea).
used as a stay for the airport, so had only little time there to get to know the place there was a strong smell of old cigarette smell in the room , wasn't the hotels fault , it was who occupied the room prevously, and would take some time to get this completely clear, we opened the window and that helped
A nice, friendly hotel with an excellent garden and pool. The greek salad in the pool bar is very good. The hotel is easy to find, close to the Marathonas avenue in Mati. It is easy to reach Nea Makri, where there are plenty of good shops and restaurants, both in the city center and on the beach. The hotel is maybe a little too far away from any shopping center (ie not within walking distance). You need to take a taxi there or have a car unless you want to use the bus.
The hotel was very nice, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was ok. Yes, the location was much more far from the airport. It was about 25 km from there and 30 Km from the City center of Athens
Great hotel. staff was very helpful.
Quiet and relaxing, very good choice for a transit stop. Nice location.
It was very close to the port of Rafina, easy to reach by taxy -arranged by the hotel easily- and the receptionist spoke an excellent english, a good plus! the hotel itself is on the ringroad, but you can walk to the beach and in summer the area was extremely lively
Be prepared to pay 50 euros of taxi to arrive at the hotel. The distance that they indicate on the descrition is not correct. It´s 45 minutes ride. It will be cheapper if you go to Atenas.
just beside the sea and in a nice area. the dinner buffet is ok. it is actually far away from the international airport. takes 20-30min driving and cost 25-35 euros. so totally, it is not cheap as we thought.
The desk clerks were fantastic, went out of their way to get us to airport early in am. Convient little computer room in lobby with printer and unlimited use. Breakfast sounded good but we left too early in am to sample. Hotel is dated and could use a make over.
The site, the service and the relatively close location to the airport of Athens. The environment is quiet an the waves at the coastline are whispering. Rooms are not wll isolated against noise internally. Outside see above.
Location, excellent view. Friendly staff - very effcient
poor location and poor compared to its neighbouring hotels
beach view and price. close to bus transit carpet dirty, all hotels were far from airport, transportation cost to Athens and airport costly or timely depending on bus or metro,
Great view to the sea, polite hotel staff, near to nice beach Old building
Nice ocean view rooms. Go for those. Clean and a bit ordinary. Stayed one night because it was reasonable close to the airport (30 minutes by car).
