Position of Hotel It was very dissapointing that despite promises from the hotel management no communication was recieved from them regarding an expensive item that was left in the room after departure. It is assumed that anything left by mistake in this hotel becomes the property of the hotel or finder.
Convenienca to city centre and car parking facilities Kettle was missing from Room 30. tea and coffee poor quality and insufficient quantity. English speaking taff almost non-existent and they could not explain the dinner menu so we went elsewhere.
The location is good for the old town (10 mins walk) and it has free parking. The lady receptionist was exceptionally rude when we arrived. The turkey brochette in curry sauce for dinner was expensive and virtually inedible. We ate elsewhere after that first experience.
Nice rooms, clean bathroom, welcome tea Check-out hour
The view overlooking the tarn river is nice Rooms are dusty and cheap , hotel is not clean
Great location, great restaurant, fantastic view accross the river, quiet and friendly.
The hotel is very nicely located on the banks of the river Tarn and offers a great view over the ancient city. Very nice dining + bar facilities overlooking the river and old city centre. The rooms are rather small in size and the bathroom, although well -equipped, was very outdated and needs some refreshment works done.
The staff were very helpful and room was lovely. We had a riverside view room. Also free parking was excellent.
The view from the windows of our room on the cathedral of Albi was very beautiful. The room was pleasant but too small for two, especially if staying more than one night. The view: four stars, the room: two stars. Pleasant bar. The size of the room. Would recomend for solo traveller.
All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Whilst advising that wi-fi internet access was available throughout the hotel immediately upon enquiry we were told it will not work in our rooms on 2nd floor and we would need to come down to the lounge/bar to access.
Being quiet but close to the centre
The River Tarn and view of the cathederal Room was small for a superior room
Loacation close to old town Albi, restaurants, and shopping
An extremely good location, with a pleasant enough room although a little on the small side. Provision of tea and coffee was very welcome.
Very close to large underground parking garage; daily parking rate discounted by 30%. Helpful, friendly and efficient staff. Breakfast promptly served and varied. Large room, very clean and new, though simply furnished. Good large modern bathroom. Close to city sights. Airconditioning in room was apparently turned off (mid October) and it was still quite sultry on the top floor. When asked about this, the staff responded that it would be cool enough at night. (Airconditioning was on in the corridors, however).
Location was great and it was good value for money The decor of the room was a lurid green. The toilet cubicle was so small it was almost impossible to close the door and use the toilet.
The location was great for visiting the oldtown and cathedral. Hotel carpark was under the hotel, secure, and reasonable at 5 euros per day.Breakfast buffet was very good and good value at 8 euros. Finding the hotel was difficult and the parking garage more so.
Very close to the old town of Albi and right on Place du Vigan. Staff friendly and helpful. Large room and great location for the price. Would definitely stay here again. Parking €8 per day; however it is a secure and convenient facility and cheaper than normal rates.
The location was excellent for sightseeing in Albi and very convenient for parking and restaurants There was a lot of noise from other bedrooms - there didn't seem to be very much soundproofing - and we didn't get a good night's sleep.
Room was fantastic. Hotel decor was very special. The hotel was very central. Amongst plenty of shops and restaurants.
Hotel was fabulous and we absolutely loved it. The room was huge and beautifully decorated. The reception area looks like a film set. All good
Great location, close to restaurants and bars and in the historic part of Castres. V spacious room and bathroom. Quirky hotel! Whilst decor quirky it had seen better days. Room v dark but comfortable. Need to be aware that staff speak no english but with our limited skills we got by and friendliness compensated.
Very good located, nice decorated and spacious room. We could park our motor gratis in a secured space. Good value for money. The breakfast should have a bit more variation.
Convenient for town centre Layout of bathroom wrong. Toilet squeezed between radiator and wash basin with large empty space elsewhere
everybody was very kind and helpful
It is a wonderfully eccentric old place and fun to stay at. It must be a nightmare to keep clean with all the "stuff" scattered about. (Get someone to dust under the beds more often!) Very pleasant helpful staff. I would like to stay on a Fri or Sat night to see if it livens up a bit. You do not stay here for the view from the bedroom!
beautiful hotel, very large room and beautiful bathroom. the hotel is situatet in the centre of Castres, but quiet.
This is an excellent hotel - breakfast and surroundings great. Hotel owner very helpful. No
We thought the staff were very helpful and the hotel cleanliness was very good. The buffet breakfast was varied and good value. We thought the bathroom doors were of poor quality & did not close well, and the wardrobe space was very limited. Lack of air-conditioning was a problem at night, especially as it was hot weather when we stayed.
I wouldn't give this establishment three stars. It wasn't bad but not what we expected.
Excellent staff, very welcoming and helpful
Friendly english speaking staff. Safe monitored parking behind the hotel.Internet .Excellent breakfast.Well situated to city centre and sites.
The double bed was very large and very confortable. Nice staff.
pleasant and helpful staff, comfortable room and bathroom, reasonable parking facility, good location No evening meal available
wifi - internet the hotel is nice and confortable but it would need an overall refurbushing.
Not much! Unfortunately, we received a lecture from the lady at the front desk on the fact that we should learn to speak French if we are coming to France...and all we were doing was paying the bill, not asking directions or for any special help! She was actually the ONLY rude person we encountered in our 2 weeks in France (but she took our money!!). I consider the hotel only a 2 star, not a 3 star. The bathroms were moldy, air conditioning was a overhead fan.
Good quiet location - friendly (though non-English speaking, staff No shower curtain in the bathroom!!
Close to the Cathedral. Clean. Very soft bed matress. Small room for 2. Small shower. Decoration very plain. Motel 6 feel.
Friendly and helpfull staff. Air conditioned rooms. Pool area. Local parking availability. Shower handset but no shower screen or curtain leading to small floods. The hotel restaurent was closed during our stay. Would have liked a kettle & crockery, but now understand these are not the norm.
The hotel was easy to find, with good friendly staff. Car Parking was expensive, the pool was not as clean as I would have hoped, the room was "tired".
Good location; helpful staff; comfortable room. Good food.
Nice non-chain hotel with a pool in the backyard. Yery close to the station, good access. 300m from the city centre, 200m from university. Nice french bar almost next door. DAnger to leave the key when you go out at night - the access code is printed on the back, so no re-entry without that code
the swimming pool and staff the standard of air conditioning was not accceptable
Desk staff very cooperative when asked for a different room. Bar staff attentive and helpful as were the room staff. onvenient parking outside hotel. The rating of rooms was i feel over rated and the price for what where basic facilities was not proportionate. The room had no shower rail or curtain which made showering somewhat difficult. The booking page made a point of mentioning that the hotel was near the old part of Albi but did not mention it was opposite the railway station
Food was very good Swimming pool was closed for cleaning on the night we stayed.
The proximity to the train station was important to me. I was able to check in very early (9am) as I arrived in Albi at 8am. Staff were very helpful as well. The pool was a big bonus as I walked for miles all day in extremely high heat. (mind you, it was chilly water - perhaps a solar blanket?) Clean and basic but could use a decorating "lift". Also, only one towel - I had to ask for an extra to use at the pool.
Nice and very helpful staff. The hotel advertised that there was WIFI all over the hotel, but that didn't work, could only your computer at the bar.
Good garage facilities. Easy location to find. Friendly reception /waitress. Very basic room. Noisy street side. Really poor food.
Friendly and excellent receptionist. Convenient car parking facilities. Room was adequate and clean. Breakfasts good.
The bathroom was beautiful and well appointed. the staff were welcoming and very helpful. the hotwl was well located. We enjoyed our stay. System of parking was great. All in all a wonder ful stay for a great price. Patricia Roux No
The Hotel was very well located for seeing the main attractions of Albi. Parking was convenient, although the approach to the garage was a bit convoluted. Carpet had several stains and appeared dirty. Shower had no splash panel to keep the floor from being soaked.
Buffet food was good Toilet did not flush, showers were cold, table lamp did not work, boiler for coffea was dirty (mildue). Lamps in corridor were not easy to turn on (I walked up the stairs on floor in dark)
It was a nice cheap hotel in the outskirts of albi. The location was convenient for car travellers since you don't have to enter the city evrey time you arrive. Cleanliness could be better, and something on the shower was broken.
Excellent buffet for the evening meal Poorly signposted from the Autoroute.
The hotel was very accomodating for the family and very easy to find. It was also conveniently located for ease of access to the town centre. Staff did not make any attempt to speak English even when we struggled with our French.
I liked the fact that there was a twin bunk bed for my son. We also were happy with the location. When we arrived the lights were out and reception was closed. We didn't know about the automated checkin servic. when we called booking.com in America they just said oh well they are closed.it was midnight and I was with my kids.
Not a thing, No wifi and the girl behind the counter was not helpful but shrugged her shoulders when I told her I was unable to connect. She was more interested checking the single men into their rooms. There is no air-conditioning...it's a fan. When we woke up at 6 am we had no lights for the first 15 minutes. There were bugs in the hallway. The bathroom was the smallest I hae seen in Europe.
It was a good reasonably priced place to stay whilst on our travels. The manager was helpful. It was difficult to find. It would be nice to have some basic facilities to make a cup of tea or coffee in the room.
I understand check in time was 12pm,I arrived at 11.00am, I booked 3 double rooms. but asked kindly if My family could just have one room for 15 minutes at 11am so we could get change for a wedding, which happen to be at 11;30am , they refused and we were late at the wedding and, i was best man with the couples rings...we had travel very far to get to this hotel at a decent time..I was very disappointed that they couldn't bend the rules due to the circumstances....
This is just a stop-off for driving, not a place to relax and explore.
That we got what was promised. There were no surprises. Liked the 11am checkout time. The Buffalo Grill restaurant located next door!
