Light and airy dining room Buffet breakfast had been standing too long, resulting in badly overcooked bacon and blackpudding
Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast variety. Lovely location. No extending shower head to wash hair.
The restaurant, good food and some good service But spoiled by weak service standards and bad liaison between chef and foh Making promises they didn't keep. No bath robes, no wifi no action on any of a number of issues like this that were raised with reception.
Excellent staff, great leisure facility, good food, just south of M42 with easy access, but before you book using Booking.com phone the hotel for a dinner bed & breakfast price which makes this hotel even more attractive for a short stay.
the setting and the lovely pool we were firstly put by mistake in a double room which was large and warm and had tea making fac. When we were moved to the twin it was freezing had no tea fac. it was smaller and didnt feel like it was in use regularly. that was disappointing as we booked a twin so they should have had it ready.
The spa treatment was fantastic. The leisure facilities were good and very relaxing. Breakfast excellent. The bathroom could have been cleaner.
pool facilities food at the golf club bar was very poor indeed.
The location for what we wanted was perfect, the hotel was very clean and confortable and the staff were friendly and pleasant.I would stay here again.
Very polite staff, excellent breakfast
Staff were faultless and always very helpful. Very good leisure facilities and breakfast was top class. Children's menu could be larger.
All the staff were very friendly. The bar was not well stocked, not very warm, and not very comfortable. The wifi didn't work.
easy to get to. Food good. Most staff bright and helpful. The hotel may be in the middle of a face lift. Although the room was clean - the decor - bathroom etc needed some attention and the entrance and stairs (which could be quite impressive) need decorating.
1 Good suroundings 2 there was no hot water on the first night. When I complained they listened and chnaged my room. The duty manager was very helpful. The bar food and the attitude of the staff serving: 1 They brought two courses of hot food together, when I asked them to keep the main course warm while I ate the starter, they said they were too busy. I complained to the duty manager and she also thought it was ok! to serve two hot courses together and said they were busy. The attitude from the serving staff, was very take it or leave it. On the second night I went out for a meal, which frankly was inconvenient.
breakfast the room wasnt cleaned ready for when we got there.
Although I was only there for an overnight stay, I was very impressed with all of the staff that I had contact with! They were very friendly and efficient! Nothing.
Friendly and helpful staff Everything else
Hotel adequate for short stay. Location excellent for our needs Unfortunately heater set on fire in room but staff moved us to another room, but no heating in this room. Staff very helpful.
The friendliness of staff and value for money, it is in a transition period & I would expect it to be even better in the future. This is not a dislike but I would have liked it more if it had a makeover!
Too quiet no sky TV
The quality The coffee for breakfast was awful. Its got to be a bean to cup machine please
Courteous Staff and excellent on site facilities
Really liked the interior design of the hotel and the room. Simple modern lines, nice colors, very relaxing cozy atmosphere. Hotel and room very clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking space in front of the hotel. Staff very polite and helpful. Really good value for money. Breakfast could have been a bit more rich, and a safe box in the room would have been handy.
the place was great, the place was great, a bit more difficult to find, even with the printed out map.
As I was on a business trip I tried three different hotels on three different trips and this was was the best hotel of all. Comfortable bed, good Continental breakfast (nice petit pain and croissants) Hotel is in the center in Redditch so you do not have to take a taxi to and from the center or to go to a restaurant. (tip: Rileys indian restaurant in the center, very good) Internet is 10 euro even if you bring your business laptop / Wikipedia!) Calls to Europe (Netherlands or France for exp.) will cost you more then 3 pounds a minute. I ended up with a 124 pounds bill for calling a few times home! Be aware!!!
As always the reception was excellent and the hotel clean and very quiet at night. Have now been using this hotel for a regular family vist for three years ,have never been dissatisfied. Breakfast seems to have changed ,with the introduction of scrambled egg and sausage, but with the loss of cold meat and cheese.
The service was excellent, staff always willing to help! The breakfast was a little bit poor but just a minor issue
Clean comfortable room. Internet access expensive.
the hotel was very modern and clean the lobby/bar area was a formal
clean and new more toaters at breakfast
ease of access to rail station & airport & NEC facilities. The staff were very helpful & polite. Would definately use this hotel again.
Freindly Staff Value for money size of room no bath
Easy access to NEC site The decor is a bit "tired" although I appreciate the hotel is well used 24/7
The hotel was comfortable When we entered the room it was freezing. There was no instuctions on how to use the heating/cooling system. We booked an early morning call for 7am, this was not forthcoming and as a result were later than expected for an engagement. When this was pointed out to reception at checkout all that was offered was 'sorry' I feel we should have been offered maybe a free breakfast as compensation.
Good food and good service Warm, ac would be a benefit
The staff were very helpfull and the location being close to the NEC The hairdryer in our room did not work.
Efficient and friendly Staff Very good pool and liesure set up Room a little basic - very little toiletries and no biscuits with the coffee/tea making facilities
The public areas were very welcoming, the restaurant was very good and the staff were very helpful. The coldness of the breakfast room which was almost next to the front door.
Hotel room had a strong smokey smell to it even thogh a non smoking hotel
Polite and helpful staff Tv to complecated
The bed was extremely hard and the pillows were very uncomfortable - I woke up on the hour every hour - it was liking sleeping on a balloon
Man on Night Reception was extremely helpful and very curteous The cooked Breakfast took over 20 minutes to arrive, and when it did the scrambled eggs were over-cooked, the tomato was of poor quality, I was under the impression that it was supposed to be a fast service!
Being able to go from our room to the dining room without going outside into the freezing cold! Noise of other people going along the corridors and talking in the early hours and the beds were so hard!
All contacts with staff were good. Especially so the receptionists. I can appreciate you wanting to look 'green' but do bear in mind that some people wish to relax on the bed and read with decent illumination. You can't do that with the available lighting, only place being the desk, sitting on a hard chair
The hotel was friendly, clean and comfortable. Well situated for visiting friends
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help us as we had arrived at 11.15pm
The staff were excellent, very helpful & friendly. The food was also excellent in the Brewers Fayre. Lots of stairs, had to get a member of staff to let me through to the restaurant to avoid stairs. They were very happy to do it, but felt I was imposing on them.
The bedroom and bathroom were clean and fresh. Breakfast was the usual good standard and the staff were very pleasant. The room allocated to me in the hotel was over the bar of the pub which is part of the hotel and which did not turn off the music until midnight and the light outside the room, (very bright yellow) was turn off at about 1am. The bed was very hard with little comfort. I had a ver poor night,s sleep, certainly the worst I have experienced at a Premier Inn. I recommend to anyone else that yu request a room at the back of the hotel which may be quieter.
I liked the setup at the hotel, the relative seclusion of the location and the reasonable privacy of the separate bedroom block. The room way only just warm enough and the heating would benefit from an upgrade. One small electric heater would have been inadequate if the night had been much colder. The traffic noise was intrusive from around 7am to the light sleeper.
Very impressed with value for money
proximity to main roads, easy to find, affordable for one night stay. check in was a little slow
Clean,tidy,room,comfy bed,good shower,friendly staff,and a cracking breakfast
Very friendly staff. Lack of any handrail at the bath/shower made it dangerous for use by elderly guests such as myself.
Generous continental breakfast with very reasonable priced upgrade to full english breakfast. Comfortable bed and both bath and shower in en- suite bathroom Room was a bit cold (it was November) and the heater took a long time to warm up. Restaurant was closed the first night I was there so I had to drive some 3 miles elsewhere to find an evening meal.
Bar, reception area was good. Rooms were comfortable. Shutters are an excellent idea. TV did not work.
Clean towels each day and tea and coffee replenished daily
Had a clean bed and room was clean Room window was left open so extremely cold. Bathroom fitting infront of mirror made it difficult for my wife to apply makeup.
Good food particularly
Hotel was very welcoming. Room was excellent, and the staff were very polite and helpfull. Shower was not very good. The hair dryer was very poor.
Staff pleasant& helpful, heath centre facilities excellent, room clean, breakfast, no one could ask for more !! overall would have no reservations in recommending this hotel to family - friends Never stayed at a hotel before where I had to pay car park fee, if car park was small, could maybe understand, but this is huge, ...£5 to park overnight as a resident is not in my opinion good practise or necessary!
Good room and excellent staff throughout Room could have been a little warmer and breakast is usual mass catering stuff
Room, Service, Breakfast
the breakfast was very good , plenty to choose from and of a good quality. the reception staff were also good. the bed was not up to the standard of the premier inn one we had stayed in the previous night.. the vanity basin was cracked.
Location suited my needs. I chose this hotel based on the leisure facilities. Parking procedure confusing. Room not as described.
I needed a break regardless and i would stay there again. I enjoyed the swimming pool, until someone spat snot in there. Absolutely disgusting. I think it has put me off swimming pools for life. I liked the steam room and gym. The hallways always noisy with kids, but you have to accept that and the bath wasn't as good standard.
Good hotel, good service. Room service is expensive.
Room in good order Bar was very noisy.
Lobby bar, reception service. No service at breakfast, cold plates, had to ask twice for tea, then had to get own cups, knifed forks ect... Off other tables, in view of waiters who did or said nothing. Room smelt damp and looked a little dated.
Good price, in a good location, it had very comfortable beds and pillows, nice fire in the bar. Buffet breakfast not great, the food was served too cold. And the temperature in the bar was too cold also.
Excellent value for money on the price we paid. Plenty of available car parking space. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location to Birmingham and walking distance to Touchwood shopping centre. Good breakfast and leisure centre. Its was cold. Very cold in the corridors and room was cold, as the heating system was not working. Vector heaters had already been given out, but extra blankets were delivered to our room very promptly. Only heating in the room was the bathrooms towel rail.
We were close to the NEC (attending Crufts) Hotel easy to find, we were made welcome - no charge for our dog, (unlike most hotels/travel lodges). Breakfast delicious and service excellent! Had slight problem with leak on shower attachment (got soaked!) and bath taps a bit strange.
No draught beer
The relaxed atmosphere and friendliness of staff.
helpfull staff, good food, easy parking no
Food okay Reception - bloody slow. Bar - cold and slow servioce.
Good value at £59 but not if if it was dearer Standards have slipped in last 3 years Breakfast not so good No biscuits in rooms Had the nerve to charge residents to park there!
The staff were very friendly even though the hotel was very quiet.Especially the lady who served in the Triumph bar and the food was excellent
The breakfast service & food were both good & efficient The long walk and lack of lifts to my room
Located near to NEC Staff inexperienced and not the most customer orientated. Quite expensive for the quality and the limited facilities.
Bars One bar closed early
The Hotel was big but still very cosy. The standards of the rooms outweighed my expectations and I was upgraded for free as there was a better room available. I really couldnt recommend this hotel enough
Excellent hotel, highly recommended
A perfect setting in a beautiful suburb not far from NEC Good food and a friendly staff
It was clean and comfotable. the staff were polite friendly and helpfull
I thought the whole experience staying at the Manor was a very pleasant one, from the warm welcome on arrival the service at breakfast through to the help I received on departure. Nothing
Convenient location. Low noise level from outside. Comfortable. Couldn't get a small snack with a glass of wine.
The room was typical clean and servicable The added costs of parking and booking wasn't inclusive of breakfast.staff needed some customer care training and attitude seemed laissez faire and an impostion th\at they had customers!
Spacious room The bar was noisy but one had to consider that there was a wedding reception
nice and quiet in the bedroom
My room was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet. Staff were very helpful.
Bar meals poor paid £5.50 for jacket spud with cheese only just warm and the size was so small it would not fill a child. We also had a pizza at £8.50 which was one we could have gone and brought from tescos plus it was so over cooked I could not eat any of the edge as it was so hard and again only just warm.Plus the hotal as followed other hotels in which the customer has to make his owen coffee in morning which is out of a machine ( rubbish)
We were upgraded. Location to the town. Choice for Breakfast
the very large king size bed and the leisure facilities, food was also very nice no the hotel was very good
We enjoyed the spa as we needed to relax after our long drive and our bad start to our stay with you. comment sent to customer service. Cold room and having to wait to have our breakfast.
On arrival the receptionist was very un welcoming. She was ubrupt and basically rude. She was also unaware of the rate we had agreed with yourselves, although did accept it
Not alot poor reception service
position of hotel
Although the Ramamda double booked me they could not have been more accomodating. They sorted the problems out efficiently and I was given an executive room. The hotel is very close to town and the staff are friendly. Only problem was during my checkout; their was only one lady at the desk (she got flack for this) and it took 45 minutes to check-out, however stayed calm and tried her best. Breakfast a little dry but not horrible!
The hotel provided an excellent base for a visit to Solihull for a personal visit for the funeral of a close friend. The standard of the hotel was not my highest priority. The strange arrangement of the car park and getting parking tickets validated.
The friendlyness of the staff. Especially at Breakfeast .Asthey were very busy but coped very well .
Staff very friendly Double bed was 2 single mattresses pushed together, no fitness facilities
The suite was fabulous and made our visit There was a large party staying and that meant we were in able to get a table for dinner.
Convenience and location for the NEC. Excellant accces to Solihull shops.
It was within walking distance of good shops, pubs and night life The bed,s were very hard
Cleanliness of hotel...staff were friendly Paying for Parking at the Hotel £8 per car per night
Friendliness of all the staff
The hotel was as always excellent. The staff were very friendly and professional, and when in the area again will book Hogarths.
Easy parking. Luxurious room. Friendly staff. Lovely grounds.
Staff were fantastic...rooms were very comfortable. Food amazing!
A lovely hotel in a nice quiet location. The staff were very helpful and the room was very comfortable.
Top hotel , great location . room spotless and modern , recommended all round .
The grounds were lovely. The Bed extremely comfortable and it was great having a Jacuzzi, although it was very noisy
Helpful, approachable staff. Modern decor & food to very good standard in a traditional setting. Close to nec but in a quiet, country location. Comfortable rooms. Room could do with air conditioning
Staff were extremely attentive without being intrusive.
lovely meal -friendly staff
A nice hotel we will go again booked direct by phone Active h got my name wrong and the hotel could not find our booking details which in some circumstances could have been a disaster !
The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. This is not a serious matter - breakfast service could be improved.
water pressure of shower room was dusty, bath tiles dirty with mould, breakfast in room was cold at 7am ! and limited choice of food menu in restaruant and bar snacks. Main restaurant being refurbished at time of visit.
It's location was my primary reason for booking here. 5th November and access road closed but that wasn't the hotels fault. Also, I needed to change my room key on two occasions as it would not work. The second time was very inconvenient.
The room was ok but everything else was below standard, we couldn't get room service as no one answered the phone and breakfast was appalling, we couldn't eat in the restaurant as it was full and eat in a make do second restaurant which made a little chef look luxurious. The staff were unhelpful and the food was shocking. See above, we paid for a luxury room and left feeling thoroughly let down and ripped off
Papaer that I ordered didn't arrive and the TV could only get ITV channels. I did mention this to recpetion and I was told that people have been working on the transmitter for the past week and it was all through the hotel, a note at recption might of been nice............this was my second time of staying ad I would stay again
There is still building work ongoing and I was disappointed that I was not able to have a hot shower on my arrival at my room on the evening of my stay - my colleagues who were on my block booking also suffered, I presume it was with the aforementioned building work
Accommodation and spacious restaurant and lounge bar are very pleasant. Food was excellent and service unobtrusive yet efficient. We liked the decor and my husband - a retired architect - appreciated the neat finishes.
Excellent food and wine at dinner and very friendly helpful staff who seemed to go out of their way to help even when understaffed (Saturday lunch) fairly awful coffee which was a shame as the rest of the breakfast was good!
Romm was small but ideal for one or two nights. Check in and out was quick and efficient some aspects of the hotel like the bar, restaurant need upgradign simialr to the recption area and rooms. Some corridors leading to the rooms were worn and shabby
Relaxing, Comfortable very well looked after, Very good food on both nights stayed. Hotel was fairly empty as booking covered the early part of the week
The location Limited menu
over-pretentious chef. excellent quality, but too nouvel cuisine
Excellent rooms and facilities. The restaurant was particularly good.
I myself did not stay, I had booked for one of my bosses, but he came back strongly recommending the hotel for future use. Liked everything
pleasent staff and very posh but comfortable hotel
pleasant surroundings room smelt of strong disinfectant
Location The plug in the bath in the room got stuck and was unable to drain bath. After reporting this to reception it took far too long for anyone to arrive to fix. This they couldn't do so i had to take a shower in another spare room the following morning. Evening meal room service was poor - quality of food very disppointing and very expensive for what it was!. Overall there was very little feeling of any welcome from staff and politeness was not something they adhered to. Hardly any appology for inconveinec with room
Bed was gorgeous and the grounds & setting very smart, but relaxed not applicable
Friendly, warm and attentive staff without being intrusive. Qualityof food excellant
Friendly helpful staff First room that I occupied, the heating was not functioning. After checking by staff I was moved to another room. Negative followed by a positive
The parking was free. Restaurant staff very attentive. Good breakfast. There were no toiletries in the room and when we asked for some soap, we were told that they were not supplied, but there was a soap dispenser in the shower. This entailled climbing into the bath to get to it but was empty anyway. Had we known this when we booked, we would have brought our own soap - so be warned. We had booked a meal deal which was advertised as a 'free meal on the first night'. It turned out not to be free. We were given vouchers which paid for some of it, but had to make up the difference with cash. Reception staff were not very helpful.
We enjoyed the starbuck in the hotel, gym facilities were good. Staff on reception were helpfull, trying to book us in early but in the end had no twin available until the normal check in. The locker in the gym would not open, the key was stuck, we waited over 10 mins for assistant. In the end we managed to open our selves and didn't see any member of staff. So they would have left us for over 20mins sitting in a towel in the changing room. No hairdryer in the bedroom, on requesting this at the reception we still waited over 20min, so agian delaying us for our breakfast. Seating in the bar area was stained and at the breakfast area.
Very welcoming. Staff helpful and friendly. Hotel very clean and comfortable. Facilities excellent. None
relaxing in plasant surroundings-allways enjoy use of facillities...good location for local attractions etc
We loved the hotel and the room - talk about comfy! Disappointed with the onsite pub but verve was outstanding. The onsite pub food.
Quiet, except at breakfast time and in the restaurant. The televisions in public places had the sound off, for the most part. Meals available without having to go out. Essential as there was nowhere close enough to walk to. Use of a decent length swiming pool. In a handy location for my meeting. Cleaning and hovering whilst having breakfast. Showerhead only operating on a few jets. Poor lighting and high sound levels in the restaurant (not helped by the background musak). In answering 'yes' to the next question, that is a 'maybe'; it depends on the alternatives next time I have to spend a night in the vicinity. Small portions and bread or potatoes only supplied as an extra. In adequate warning of the credit card charge on the booking page and the amount was not included when asked to confirm on check-out on the website. The first I knew about it was when checking in at the hotel an saw and extra £2 on top of what I thought the room rate was. Television screens everywhere, tuned to different channels, are distracting. Nobody seemed to be looking at them, so do we need them ?
The room was very comfortable, staff were well trained, helpful, polite and cheerful. The restaurant was first class and parking was plentiful and convenient. The location was a little sterile (middle of a commercial estate) but overall - excellent. The thing I liked least was that there was only one lft, but in truth it wasn't a problem, just a little surprising.
Great hotel Should be 5 star
After check in, my husband had to leave the hotel to meet some of his family. I was left in the room alone. It was during this time that a maintenance man knocked on the door. I found this to be strange as no one had said anything to us when we checked in and there were not any problems with the room / facilities. When I questioned him why he wanted access to our room he became incredibly cagey and nervious and said he would call back later and left as quickly as possible. he was not in any kind of uniform / had any id.
They upgraded us to a fantastic honeymoon suite. Amazing!
comfy bed, spacious bathroom, quiet surroundings poor singage, flashing smoke alarm over bed, no window blind in bathroom, I also felt the interiors needed brightening up perhaps with more fresh flowers!!! or am I just being picky????
Wonderful place, wonderful grounds, lovely staff and the suite was amazing. no complaints!
Possibly one of the best hotel rooms I have stayed in! Lots of character with unique features and luxurious standard of finish. Highly recommended!
The food at the restaurant was very good.
The rooms were excellent, the staff fantastic and the food out of this world! Shame it's so close to Birmingham International airport.
Beautiful setting & decor. Large, well appointed rooms. Excellent food. Friendly staff. A really pleasurable experience. N/A
Comfortable hotel, good sized room and bathroom. Very handy for NEC. The food in the restaurant was expensive, and there did not seem to be any other option to the set price meal (ie bar snacks).
The standard of the rooms are excellent. A special mention should be given to the warm welcome given by the receptionist, very professional in her approach!!. A fantastic place to stay!!
i liked the room. it was very nice and comfortable. the view and nature was perfect. the people are very nice. i had a very pleasant stay
