Good price. good location for short stays
Quiet & very convenient to all locations. Very reasonably priced. Key didn't work at first. Had to wait for staff to return from break to get it taken care of.
nice room brekfast
Soft bed, very nice staff, No bad points
Comfortable beds. Being on the second floor, we are in our 70's so not fun carrying suitcases up the stairs.
The young ladies at the check in/check out desk were nice and professional. The grounds were neat and clean. There was no toliet tissue in the room, had to track down housekeeping. Both beds had stains on the sheets, my bed had what looked like black mascara smudges on the upper head part of the sheets (covered by the pillow). My friend's bed had "something red" what looked like blood on the upper part of the sheet and her bedspread had rips. One reason I chose this motel is because the picture shown on the website was so pretty (I forgot that could have been any of their rooms and who knows how old the pictures where). And lastly, the issue that was of most concern was that the bathroom had lots of little ants crawling around, both on the floor, on the walls and especially in the bathtub and bathtub walls. Not sure if I would stay there again, since I don't know if all the rooms are like that.
The price was really good, the room was really clean, but the breakfast was really poor, just coffee, muffins and orange.
The price There were stains on the sheets, the walls the bathroom and the room itself were disgusting. There were cockroaches and the staff was extremely rude.
This is the only location I stay whenever I'm in the area. Very much a bang for my buck Everything
It was comfortable & had good air conditioning There was ants. Coming in from the sink
The Clerk at the desk when we arrived was great, She was friendly, and she called our room to see if everything was ok. The person on the morning shift also was very kind. There were eaten Sunflower seeds at the bottom of my bed.
Convenience, location to food gas stations outdoor shopping center and centrally located the word actress to Big Bear San Diego Palm Springs or LA is all done by about an hour-and-a-half travel several fast food restaurants located within walking distance along with a sit-down restaurant a car dealership with you want to look at Fords right across the street
Got an upgrade to a king size bed. Great deal! Nice bathtub jacuzzi style.
The location is close to the high way easy if it's just to continue traveling. The breakfast is simple but ok. The door was almost falling apart, I guess with one shoulder push it's open. Because it's close to the high way you can hear the cars driving on the high way but when tired as I was it's no problem.
I liked the cleanliness and size of the room, as well as the courtesy from the hotel office staff.
Nothing to like... Service, the bad oder, save your money and Look for another place.
staff would not let person i was meeting into room and they had to stay in lobby for a until I arived
The women at the check in window was so very RUDE. There was no Hello, how are you, ect...asked for my name, and collected the money then shut the window...I had to knock and ask for an additional pillow, she says there are none available....Absolutely RUDE
I absolutely have not one good thing to say about this hotel or location! The room was not very clean at all! I figured if i rent a room i would be able to sleep in but that was not the case at all the curtains closed didn't even matter the sun beamed through the room, my wife shoes held the curtains closer to the wall. On the website it never said it was under construction so hearing the loud noises from all the machinery was beyond annoying!! The room was filled with roaches, the tv remote had no back, the batteries were held by tape, the shelves were extremely filthy. My wife did want a refund she said it was beyond ghetto but since we booked online we were told we couldnt have a refund. Never will i ever stay there again and the pictures online looks nothing like the actual hotel in person!
Very clean, new-feeling, well-appointed rooms. Excellent, smooth bed linens. Great bedding: the only time I can recall any hotel's blankets being heavy enough! Also very nice that breakfast was included, tho' it was carbs only. Coffee was good. Would have been perfect with the addition of (even) hard-boiled eggs. Being right across from the ice machine & the office's night window (Rm. 17), it was too noisy if I left my window open. Was ok with the A/C running & window closed, though. Bed was a little too firm for my taste, but the great bedding more than made up for that.
Super clean, close to nightlife, newly remodeled smaller rooms/bathrooms
beds! very restful sleep room size is very small
Very comfortable beds. Surprisingly clean and modern. Very happy with the stay.
When first getting there i thought from the outside that i had made a mistake. While checking in the staff was friendly and hospitable. When entering the room I thought the worse and to my surprise the room was outstanding. Hardwood floors in the room and tile in the bathing areas. They were just putting in the HD and the scent of the room was basic but welcoming. The only thing I didn't like was their mandatory cleaning around 12pm-2pm. You are required to leave your room for the cleaning. So if you are staying more than one day you will be expected to leave. but when you return your room will be cleaned and fresh smelling.
It was close to anything I needed....it was very quiet and the staff helped me with anything
They had a microwave and mini refrigerator Flat screen HD TV Very hard rough towels Baby spiders on the roof in the light bulbs Blankets were also uncomfortable
Very very clean, family run, nice area close to alot of shopping. Everything walkable. Quiet.
Nothing Bad staff bad service..all bad Never stay there..
Took us FOREVER to check in, then the key they gave me was for a room that was already in use!
The bed was comfortable They didn't open the pool until 10 a.m. so I didn't get a chance to even sit in the hot tub before we had to check out in the morning.
It was a great deal for the price! Overall the room was great. Mostly everything was updated and the furniture was very comfortable. There was even a little basket with the toothbrush, razor, and other essential items.
I liked the location and it was a good value. On top of the quoted rate they required a $100 deposit that I won't get back for a few days. I thought this was odd.
location was the deciding factor. I booked a King bed for which a premium was charged, non-smoking room for which I had to sign a waiver ($100 if we violated). For one the room already smelled of smoke so we changed rooms, then the king bed was actually a queen (they argued that it is a standard king, and that there was no queens or standard booking option, which is clearly not the case, see kayak) therefore no money was refunded for the premium . It was extremely noisy, we could hear the neighbors and anything going on outside, the fridge inside the room made lots of noise (I unplugged it) and the AC unit did not really work (it was very loud as well and it was difficult to regulate, either it was on full power or off). The breakfast, they may as well not offer any, or call it something else. The staff was not helpful or accommodating at all. I would not stay here again.
Comfy bed and pillows. Clean. Good coffee in the breakfast room. Great location and value. Housekeeping staff was really nice. Would have liked real half and half for coffee instead of powdered.
Liked how comfortable bed was and cleanliness How far it was from Tyler mall
Close to downtown area. Location.
I liked the fact I was upgraded to the jacuzzi suite. The bed was also very comfortable with a good TV setup. There was no staff available to check me in when I arrived I literally had to seek someone out when I arrived. This occurred again upon leaving. When i would ask cleaning stag a question they didn't speak enough English to even understand this is not something which I'm opposed to however in a touristic setting where staff is already scarce I wasn't impressed. Also the vending machines had little options to begin with so when half the options including water was sold out I was ready to leave.
Clean, big rooms. Relatively quiet. No restaurant on premises or near.
Nice staff, clean rooms. Will definitely consider staying here again.
The woman who works behind the counter was nice. I don't know what planet the other reviewers for this place are on. I booked this room based on reviews, but was horrified when I drove into this motel. It is in a VERY SCARY part of town. There was a homeless man sitting outside one of the rooms the entire time I was there. It is right next to tattoo and massage parlors. Everything in the room was very dated and there was no outlet by the sink. I was by myself for this stay as I was attending a conference, so I was very uneasy all night.
The room are excellent
I like nothing at all at all not at all I didn't like the fact that they wouldn't have early check-in I didn't like the fact that they wouldn't have a great check out I didn't like the fact they were rude I didn't like the fact that he would like to check them like the fact
Seems like someone has tried to clean it up... But it's in a hellhole of a neighborhood. Walls were VERY thin, and our neighbors were not upstanding citizens. Whole place just sketchy.
nothing The room was highly infested with roaches.
Enjoyed the stay quiet, location was good and price was great. Only thing i think it could use some new paint on the inside but that's about it.
It was close to great golf at Tukwet Canyon. Good hbo tv available Breakfast was poor - limited menu and very sugary.
it was clean I'll give them that much but they seriously need to do some upgrading I've stayed at this hotel before, but this last time the quality has gone down. They used to offer a cable package, but now there's only like 20 channels. Their Wi-Fi is also so slow and the signal is so weak that you can't even use it. Don't plan on staying here if you want to be comfortable in your room. I had to check out early and go to the hotel down the street "Americas best value one". This other hotel was much nicer and the price was cheaper
The room was clean, comfortable and felt like i was staying at a four star hotel. Best value for the price.
Well, someone got shot... everybody got locked down. But the beds were comfy. That someone got shot.
Upgraded room very nice, modern Front desk staff looked disheveled, was a bit rude.
Newly remodeled room Not a good area. People were fighting and yelling everywhere
Cool room design - it's a teepee!, larger space than I expected inside, cleaner than I expected! Flat screen TV & cable. The bathroom tiles & fixtures, although clean, need to be updated. Side windows on the tepee need to be repaired / replaced secured. The curtains / carpet needed DEEP cleaning or replacement. They copy your credit card! Bad practice!!!
So cool it was little tepees
The room was bigger then we expected, also it felt like a modern hotel, but much cooler. we will bring the grand kids to stay at the cozy cone. The shower is small , but worked great.
That they are pet friendly No guess laundry

This is a must stay if you're traveling along Route 66. It's so cute! And the innkeepers were so sweet. The area was a little seedy. The innkeeper warned us not to open the door if anyone knocked in the night (yikes), butI totally appreciated the warning! Also, this is an old hotel, so outlets were limited, there were none in our bathroom!
The retro look and feel were great. Gift shop was well stocked. The hotel is a quirky little reminder of another time. Exactly what I was expecting.

Nothing No lamps in the room No electrical outlets in the bathroom couldn't do my hair bc there were no mirrors in the room Sink mounted on the wall crooked everything slides down on the floor when u set it down Neighborhood was so not great Way over priced
We stayed in a motel room shaped like a wigwam. 'Nuf said! Iconic motel on historic Route 66. Sketchy neighborhood, but felt quite safe on the property..
It was unique and clean.
Unique. Great bed. Enjoyed the experience.
Price and the location The pool should be open later
the desk staff were good, but communication with other staff was difficult, not able to ask housekeeper for a washcloth or towel. also window was very drafty[ bed under window ] , what appeared to be a dealer hanging at the corner [ about 50 foot from hotel ] and loud traffic noise.
It was in my price range. not expensive at all no I loved everything was awesome place to stay
