Pros: There recomendation for evening meal was good we went to the Wilsons as it was closest and it was raining and we were walking. The local gin was excellent. The breakfast was wholesome.
Cons: The beds were to soft for our liking. And the roof leaked in the bathroom overnight.
Pros: We booked the room for an overseas client who really enjoyed her evening there ,the helpful & friendly staff. We all had a nice breakfast in the morning together in their own cafe attached next door with also great staff

Pros: The bed was super comfy with an electric blanket & the room was lovely. It was so warm & cosy & the bathroom very luxurious. We wished we were staying longer. The breakfast next day was delicious as well.

Cons: Stairs were steep. Didn’t realise we’d be upstairs. Host asked if we wanted to move though. Layout inside a bit unusual. Main bed only double but was ok

Pros: A very comfortable B and B. Everything was of a standard that you would like in your own home, even the toilet paper! Our hosts provided an amazing breakfast with every choice you could think of. Our hosts were warm and welcoming and made us feel at home.

Pros: Absolutely friendly owners, fantastic breakfast options, very cosy and accommodating, plenty of room to relax in the communal lounge, welcome chocolates on the bed, heating throughout the establishment was on keeping it all cosy and warm
Cons: Only issue we found was the bedding caused an excessive amount of static electricity which caused us to get shocked by everything we touched. Fortunately, we managed to rectify this by rearranging the linen on the bed.

Pros: I think we were only guests that night (off season) ,it was a very cold day but the lodge was one of the warmest we stayed in our whole trip even the passage ways were warm for a large place. Only negative comment was time the lining in bathroom (shower were improved looking ratty !

Pros: Really atmospheric old style country hotel and we liked it a lot. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean, spacious and warm. Had a good night sleep. Free breakfast was good. Cerials, myesli, toast, coffee, tea etc. They run a pub and restaurant and we had a couple tasty New Zealand beers there. Recommended.

Cons: the food from the restaurant was dreadful. Its beyond me how a chef/cook can absolutely ruin a chicken, brie & cranberry piza, couldnt find the brie, the chicken was it it chicken, and a slither of cranberry hmmm. Absolutely hideous and couldnt eat even half of it. The pesto pasta was undercooked and gritty, the orange roughy, well one got 3 fillets of battered and one person got one fillet pan fried from the same menu for the same cost. Very disappointing.
