10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Dakota Hotel is an extremely well appointed hotel in Glasgow that surpasses the needs of it’s guests on every level. The staff are professional, courteous, informed, and go above and beyond for the guests of the hotel. The hotel, it’s facilities, bedrooms and bathrooms are all streamlined for the modern guest and meet every requirement. The Dakota boasts a beautiful reading room, and asuperb restaurant. Without question a hotel to go back to.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. 10minute walk to the pedestrian street. Only a couple of minutes to restaurants, the the Tesco metro and sainsbury. Hotel itself was good. The electrical outlets needed some maintenance as they were coming out of the wall but once reported was fixed immediately Request for ice was delivered immediately. My husband was ill and the restaurant sent up toast for him at no charge
Cons: In room coffee was mediocre and very little tea and no hot chocolate. No refrigerator in room
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the contemporary, grey theme, the bed and the linens. Also, loved the hot towel rack and the shower. The Grill was comfortably chic as was the 'Cigar lounge' (though incredibly dark).
Cons: I felt like I was the only guest in the hotel! Apparently this is by design but it was a bit weird. The food was OK but I was expecting a much better experience, given the hype about the 'best steak in Glasgow'. Everything was way too salty which was very disappointing. The front desk girl was not very helpful, but she was young and perhaps new on the job.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent experience. My partner loved it. Definitely be staying here again in the near future. Rooms are excellent. Bathroom amazing. 0
Cons: Just the noise outside due to building work. Couldn't be helped.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good. Bed was a bit soft for my liking. Location was excellent.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pauline and Crawford went above and beyond to make us welcome and took an interest in making sure we had the best time. B&B is beautiful with lovely views of the hills. We stayed as were attending a wedding nearby, it's the perfect location though if you were doing whisky/walking tours for example. Room was great, bed very comfortable and it was all spotless. Breakfast was an absolute treat, lots of it all homemade, freshly cut fruit salad and a full cooked breakfast which was spot on and very tasty!!! Thank you for a great stay! :-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed with Pauline and Crawford in their lovely and comfortable home for two nights. We really loved everything and both are perfect hosts. The breakfast and the hiking tips were both awesome too. Would definitely stay there again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Poppy is a beautiful, caring, loving, dedicated soul who only wants you you have a magnificent stay. From the luxury bathroom with thick towels and luxury products, towel warmer to make-up mirror to the exceptional cooked breakfast with a selection that would shame a five star hotel! The comfortable king bed was made with luxury linens and the kitchenette was equipped with a gastronomic selection of coffee, tea, cookies and a tiny fridge. But that’s not all, since Poppy was a nurse (born on poppy-day) she took great care of my sick husband with hot teas and lem-sip. Departing with heartfelt-hugs and exchanged numbers, it’s hard to believe this this elegant and rare-breed hostess birthed 7 children!
Cons: We didn’t like the fact that this B&B is not listed on Airbnb since Poppy embraces The Airbnb Belo which ensures every guests, anywhere in the world, fools like they BELONG!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Liked everything. The location and standard of the accommodation. The breakfast was first class. The overall friendliness of the hosts could not be bettered. They were fantastic in everything and went above and beyond the call of duty just to make sure our stay with them was as good s it could be. Brilliant.

Cons: Can not fault anything
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Decor, central location, pool table. Staff really friendly and local good knowledge. Coffee and fruit and pastries there for consumption all day. Papers available.
Cons: Day 1 & 3 breakfast were ok but lots of dirty dishes left on tables till 10am not cleared when clientele were finished their food. Day 2 spot on, think as there was a dedicated waitress who knew what she was about.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff excellent so helpful and friendly, great location quiet
Cons: Pillows even though there where 2 no give in them no plumpness
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast very good, location very central. everything comfortable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We thought that most thing we’re very good. The staff were very friendly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay of three days. The bedroom was a bit on the small side, but bed was comfortable. It was a lovely shower room..There wasn’t a comfortable chair in the room, so felt that you didn’t want to be in the room except to sleep. This would have been okay, if there had been a comfortable seating area in the lounge, were you could sit and relax and enjoy a refreshment after a busy day. The settees were rather low and also very low backed. It was very nice having complimentary tea/coffee and pastries throughout the day. That was a really nice touch. It was a continental breakfast which was very nice, and suited us fine, but it didn’t state that when the room was booked, so if a cooked breakfast was required, it wasn’t available.
Cons: The room was a bit small, and there wasn’t a comfortable chair in the room. This would have been okay, if there had been a more comfortable seating in the lounge area. There was only the dining area to sit, or two very low and low backed settees.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed. Quiet room. Kettle in room. Clean. Good breakfast.
Cons: Only one small chair in double room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff welcomed my with a pint after a long journey and we super friendly throughout. Room was comfortable with thoughtful things like a table for my laptop in bed and USB plugs everywhere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent customer service; very warm and welcoming staff who were very helpful; great variety and options for breakfast
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean comfortable room, location, breakfast.

Pros: Located in West End where all the trendy bars and restaurants are but £13 taxi ride from central train station :-(

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful townhouse in a beautiful residential area, spacious rooms, great food and very friendly staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, peaceful, beautiful decoration, pleasant and helpful staff.
Cons: Breakfast was ok - brioche stale, muffin and bacon very hard (eggs benedict), no alternative sausage offered (only pork available).
6.8 Good
Pros: The breakfast is amazing...as always. Lovely garden Terrace to sit and relax with a drink. Very friendly staff.
Cons: The room we were given (Villa Maria) was tired looking and is in need of some serious TLC or upgrading if to be considered as part of One Devonshire Garden’s high standards. Having stayed there previously on a few occasions, this room spoiled our stay. Incomplete house cleaning of dressing room. Bathroom looks shoddy and sub standard for this hotel. Windows unable to stay open for ventilation. Mattress on bed has probably had its day also. Disappointing having to write such a review as previous stays have been excellent.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and v comfy beds, quirky communal space
Cons: V small room, sink in bedroom, no mini bar or heated towel rail for drying clothes (it is Glasgow after all!)
7.5 Good
Pros: location and lounge areas
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very innovative with electronic check-in and room controls. We loved the shower! The food was delicious and staff were friendly and courteous. We like how the various spaces for relaxing, reading, meeting, and computer use sort of `unfolded' as we explored the first two floors of the hotel.
Cons: Difficulty in dropping off bags - no apparent place to stop car for that purpose. Parking was a bit far but ok.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel, very good location.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, nice shower, location is good,
Cons: No kettle for hot drink.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were great, quick to sort out an issue with the TV. Staff really friendly. Check in and out Very Smoooooth. Great lounge area.
Cons: Drinks a bit expensive for Glasgow but tastey.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent and the concept is a lot of fun and interesting.
Cons: The room is better suited for one versus two people. Design-wise, there’s still small things they could do to improve the space, like some hooks on the walls and over the bathroom door. In room 504 there was a strong smell of mildew in the shower before I asked someone to clean it up a bit. Also, I’m not sure the purpose of the handheld shower head as the water barely trickled out and couldn’t be manoeuvred without complete loss of pressure. Hair rinsing was fine with the rain-shower mounted from the ceiling.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: this visit, the best bit was the helpfulness of the staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect, the staff was friendly and the rooms were amazing!! It’s a well organised place and the smart technology makes everything simple.
Cons: Nothing!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Functionality of the cool room from the iPad. Cool, creative extras like the pillows etc
Cons: The sound of the air con was a little louder than I would expect. The self service staff were more a hinderance than a help and their customer service did not seem authentic
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. Bedrooms were small but perfectly sized for our needs. Bed was very comfortable. In room technology was quirky and fun. Bar - cafe - canteen was modern and exciting, with a well curated bar selection and good food. Good views from 6th floor and up. Despite the bar being busy well into the night, we were not disturbed in our room by noise or light pollution.
Cons: There did not appear to be a gym or fitness area. This probably not a good hotel for families with young children.

Cons: The hotel is good, But the problem is that the heater in the room can not switch off, my family lived in the hotel on 17 July 2019, the heater was very hot, the room temperature was over 30 degrees, we could not help getting awake and drank water. The hotel staff checked 2 times and promised the problem was fixed, but actually not.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice luxury hotel in a quiet South Side location, very large & comfortable room with all mod cons. As I had an event in the area starting at 3pm they were able to check me in a bit in advance of the normal time.
Cons: Service was a bit haphazard, at checkin dealt with one person who knew I had asked to arrive early and one who didn't and thought I had to wait .. also at breakfast being seated/ordering/getting drink/getting toast etc seemed to happen quite randomly.
7.5 Good
Pros: Loved the afternoon tea and dinner was good too although a little Pricey.
Cons: We could feel the springs in the mattress. I wanted to stay in the main hotel But we’re out in a separate building .
10.0 Excellent

Pros: A charming, quiet hotel in a leafy suburb of Glasgow suitable for a night’s stay. An easy, short train ride into the city. Pros: Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and beautiful building.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful Georgian house set back in a quiet road. Original features but modern facilities. Felt like I was at home. The staff were as gracious as the building and I feel the hotel is underrated. The rooms are well appointed and I loved the walk in shower room.

Pros: Lovely large and comfy room, the convenient location and helpful friendly staff. Also the public areas are very attractive and inviting. Overall we really enjoyed our short stay here which was convenient for the airport but also we found Paisley a charming town.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The ambience of the building and the friendliness of staff. Our room was extremely clean and finally nice pillows.
Cons: The King bed was two singles pushed together. I realise this is common practice, however the two beds were not the same height. We still slept, it was just a little annoying.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location in historic area and elegance of hotel. A departure flight delay was accommodated smoothly by allowing us to stay for another night.
Cons: Sadly, the chef was ill and we were obliged to eat out.
7.0 Good
Pros: Spacious room. Location close to shops and restaurants. Breakfast was great
Cons: Parking under trees with flowers cos when it rains, the flowers all dropped and covered the car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully restored
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in walking distance to a lot of great attractions in Paisley (unfortunately closed at the time we were there). The hotel itself is a beautiful old building that’s clearly full of history. Our room was clean and comfortable. All the staff were very accommodating and Maureen (I hope I got that right!) was extremely helpful in assisting my mother with finding locations relating to our ancestors.
Cons: Would have liked ironing facilities in the room, however it wasn’t essential to us so we didn’t enquire.
7.1 Good
Pros: Very nice lady checked us in. Common rooms were pretty and very Scottish in decor. Room had a couch that was a nice touch.
Cons: The bathroom was very small. That I can deal with. But the faucets were not attached to the sink well and kept turning around. The hot water was running and filling up the sink. Finally got the water to turn off. The shower head dripped all the time but it just flowed down the drain. It appeared that the sink had tried to be repaired.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were spacious and the staff was fantastic.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room and hotel was clean and stylish.
Cons: As I struggled up the stairs and through the two doors to the reception with my two suitcases neither of the two staff (who saw me) offered to help even hold open the door.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fresh, simple and well-presented and the early evening wine and cheese was a wonderful surprise.
Cons: I had a room at the front of the hotel which was a little noisy because of the busy road outside. However, that is the downside of being in a very central location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Little cosy room with air con and heating. Nice shower area. And a free upgrade
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Beds were a little firm
9.5 Excellent
Pros: As usual, the Z hotel was very clean and tidy, everything was well organised and the Staff were very very helpful. The last two times I stayed, I had a room with a window, but this time I had paid for their room without one. The space is very cozy, and I personally love the layout and style, the lack of window didn’t bother me at all. The room was very tidy and clean, and the facilities all worked perfectly.
Cons: I honestly have nothing i can fault the Z hotel with. They gave me an option to get into my room early, and looked after my luggage when I did not take that option. They happily helped me out with requests i made before I stayed, so I feel that there was nothing wrong with my stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the air con in the room especially at this time of the year.
Cons: The bathroom was not very private.
7.0 Good
Pros: Was near city centre
Cons: Was a bit too small Some rooms had no windows I would have not liked that

Pros: Breakfast, both in quality and quantity was excellent and the staff were delightful and very friendly
Cons: An aspiring 'Bob Dylan' was twanging away and warbling in one of the other guest bedrooms for a while but mercifully stopped when I was getting to the 'I think I'll need to do something about this' place in my tolerance level.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was lovely and the hotel was clean and cozy. The staff went out of their way to make sure all our needs were met. Pros: We liked the location
Cons: Our room was small, and the bed had a hard mattress so we slept poorly both nights. The complimentary resealable bottle of tap water was not replaced the 2nd day but left 3rd full from the previous day! The sugar and milk were not replaced either! The breakfast was poor in choice of fruits for cereal topping, being prunes or grapefruit segments. We were visiting family in the area and were taken out by them, however we felt pressured to dine there in the evening but didn't.

Pros: I liked the executive lounge we had upgraded to include access and I thought it was good value the hotel is well situated and central
Cons: We stayed at the back of the hotel on the 6th floor the we had no view as there were buildings straight across from us although we couldn’t see much anyway as the outside of the windows were filthy also on our last night we didn’t get much sleep as the couple in the next room had an almighty row and there was shouting swearing and slamming doors but that’s not the hotels fault

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location next to the station and the shops. friendly staff and willing to help with any queries.
Cons: For the hotel besides the small reception area and the room it did not give me the experience I was hoping for. Apparently you have to upgrade to a more expensive room to gain access to the upstairs bar so I was not allowed to use this facility even though for a single person I paid £100 a night. I would have liked to go elsewhere besides sitting in my room so did not feel this gave me the Scottish hotel welcome and grandeur that I was expecting after seeing this hotel on booking.com. I also went upstairs to the restaurant for lunch and with only 4 people in the place I was informed it was fully booked.

Pros: But d you as comfortable
