Pros: The breakfast , the friendly owner
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This historic building is amazing! Our apartment was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was ample and delicious, and the host perfect!
Cons: Kate evening diners create some noise from the street, but that's part of the experience. Wish we could've stayed longer
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host speaks English well and she was kind. There was no lift but the host put my heavy luggage to the room at the 4th fl. It was very convenient that I could put the luggage in the early morning. It helped my family to move the way to the travel without baggage.
Cons: There was no shower curtain at the bathtub. So need to be very much careful when you do shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unique building with real character, modern conveniences tastefully inserted into this historic building. Marion as helpful and friendly as ever. The location couldn’t be better in the heart of Rennes
Cons: Lack of stand up shower over the bath
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Full of character - amazing old building yet good facilities and an excellent host. Room opened onto a terrace, snacks available in fridge all day :-) Host arranged secure parking which is away from the accommodation but worked well for us. Just plan your arrival time.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Uau! Just uau! The most charming building and appartment I ´ve ever seen in my life! Stunning style, incredibly willing and nice lady Marion, exceptional scent of old ages. Thank you for all your support and help and beautiful 3 days and nights!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The personal welcome. The quirky decor and the location
Cons: Beautiful old house right in the centre of town near shops and transport
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous room in a wonderful old property that's been stylishly furnished. It's right at the heart of the old part of the city. Close to a range of places to eat. Lovely large bedroom, a sitting room with complimentary drinks and an outside terrace for guests too. Excellent breakfast too.
Cons: The bathroom was very small. Ideally nearer parking but it's not too far away and it's always a factor if you want to stay in the old part of a city.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location right in the centre of the old city. Historical property. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast included and free tea, coffee and other drinks ... even wine in the salon. Kind and efficient host.

4.3 Okay
Pros: Overated
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast in large communal room/kitchen downstairs. Atmosphere and friendliness of staff. The manager, Matthieu was very helpful to us because my wife needed to see a doctor. He arranged an appointment for her. His concern for our situation was just wonderful. Would reccomend without hesitation. Hotel is modern in an old building.
Cons: This is a quirky boutique hotel with each room different. We had the largest room which was on 2 levels with the bedroom upstairs. There is not much hanging space and if you are staying for a few days there is not a lot of places to put stuff. Like many hotels in France it is not air conditioned. Normally this would not be a problem in this part of the world however there was an abnormal heat wave during our stay and sleeping was uncomfortable. Some rooms are quite small.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very original location with a really professional and friendly staff. The place is new and clean. Great place!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are very friendly while we tried to Communicate in our poor french. The Hotel is very convenient to the centre of Rennes and Is I n a very safe area. My son was completing an Erasmus year at the university of Rennes so I stayed at " the magic hall" on my three visits to Rennes . The rooms are very bright and spacious . It was great to come home some evenings and avail of dinner . Drinks are always available . I would definitely stay at the magic hall if I return to Rennes again and I would highly recommend this hotel to fellow travellers .
Cons: I truly have to say there was nothing about the magic hall I didn't like . In our room we had a bath with shower . For older travellers this would be difficult to negotiate . Thanks
9.3 Excellent
Pros: ideal central location. Pay parking nearby. Very quiet despite being so central, away from traffic routes.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Bed very comfy and lovely room. Son really loved playing drums in music room... one of the reasons I booked it
Cons: No air conditioning in room and a very hot night meant a disturbed sleep, also bath and shower head set up was a bit dangerous for us oldies, had a couple of close calls there getting in/out
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place, big bright clean rooms near to city center. Only a few steps to immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere of Rennes. Breakfast is highly recommended!
Cons: Perfect stay!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice, clean, elegant and original
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It's quirky. Relaxed and fun. Breakfast was good (pay separately for this).
Cons: Room was small, with little space to store things. We saw other rooms which were bigger so I guess that's just the way it goes.

Pros: The building was fabulous. Fabric wall covering in the beautifully furnished living room. There was a delicious French breakfast with croissants, jam, coffee and fruit. We had dinner at a lovely restaurant just around the corner. The proprietor was so accommodating and helped us park our vehicle for the evening.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming host, adapted quickly to our needs. The rooms we staid at felt like a tree house in a good way. Nice and clean spaces.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great - fresh fruit and orange juice, lovely croissants and jam! With choice of hot drink. The location is perfect, accessible for the old city and more. But the room was magnificent - it was like staying in a library (only good perhaps if you like books). The couple who run it are lovely and extremely helpful and relaxed.
Cons: It's not an issue for me, but toilet was down the hall rather than in the room. Shower was in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This an absolutely amazing place. Totally worth all the great reviews it has. The owner was so helpful with the parking and wifi and the room is absolutely charming, has a kitchen and a living room. Great breakfast too.
7.5 Good
Pros: Freshly squeezed orange juice and kiwi or strawberry fruit salad were lovely for breakfast. WiFi connection was excellent and the newly fitted shower very good
Cons: I stayed in the small apartment over three levels it was quite quirky but the second laddered staircase up to the galleried sleeping compartment was a bit scary with very little room between the top of the of the open stair top and the bed I didn't feel safe having to negotiate it.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Nobody met at arrival time. It was a bug problem to lift a suitcase 23 kg to 4th floor. Also there was very hot, not comfortable In the room for sleeping.

Pros: The room was clean and comfortable with cleverly painted walls. They have a very good breakfast. The location was good for us across from the train station and a 15 minute walk to the historic area.
Cons: The WiFi went out every time the phone was closed so you had to sign in many times. Well worth a stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The rooms, all movie themed, are are both a delight in their decoration, and are comfortable. The breakfast was very good - lots of variety and well presented and maintained by the staff. The staff are very friendly and helpful - keen to make sure you enjoyed your staff both at the hotel and in the city.

Cons: Small kitchen. No frills. Did not match its 'superior' description.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Cleaner really lovely
Cons: Arrival time was 4pm onward, our room wasn’t even ready and we had to wait another hour before entering. There was no air conditioning. The wifi was non existent. An email to the property about this wasn’t even returned. We were asked to leave right on 11am due to a new arrival at midday! How does that even work if you aren’t even allowed to enter before 4pm. Very very disappointing
7.0 Good
Pros: It was quiet. However, I think the experience has taught me that I prefer staying in hotels

Pros: Location. Clean. Comfortable bed. Lovely large bathroom and nice shower. Easy access into property and apt.
Cons: Awkward location of bed. Chairs at table a bit difficult to move. Very little counter space. We are average height and had to be careful of headroom. It might present challenge for tall folks.

There’s a nice little toy area at the front by reception which was great for keeping kids entertained during check in and loading the car back up.

Pros: High standing Hotel with professional team, customer oriented (they ordered a taxi for me), with a nice lobby to relax or to work, ideally situated in the city center. Breakfast with high quality products.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Convenient to central town, restaurants, markets. After two discussions with staff, we were able to move from what they called a “cosy” room to a lovely normal-sized room. Breakfast was fine with granola, yogurt, breads, crepes, and choices of coffees and teas. Mixed fruit was mostly canned with only pineapple being fresh.
Cons: We were first assigned to what they called a “cosy” room which was much too small for two people and literally had no place to put even small carry-ons. Clearer description of “cosy” room on websites would be helpful.

Pros: Well located and well appointed
Cons: No ventilation in the room or air conditioning. Need to keep windows open to get any air. However apartment was above a square of restaurants and the noise floated upto the room.
8.8 Excellent

Cons: Nothing

Cons: There is no reception desk so it is difficult to deal with staff - there is no desk or table. The bedroom area was quite small (as with many hotels in France) with very limited space for storing cases, clothes etc.. Bathroom was very small and there is no sound insulation between the bedroom and bathroom.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Apartment was lovely, clean and comfortable.
Cons: Access into the apartment was very difficult with suitcases. A narrow doorway with a turn and 4 steps.

Cons: 4th floor on wooden stairs with no lift. It’s a house, not an hotel, (landlady is very friendly, breakfast was ok) but no en-suite and very very noisy: traffic to one side and people parting till very late in pubs and cafes to the other.

Pros: Great location , but the picture on the website of the front of the house was nothing like the real thing it was drab and not nice to look at yet the website picture looked bright and inviting ?. There was no proper bed in my room it was basically a mattress on the floor that was not right .
Cons: No proper bed in one of our rooms . Advertising the property , it should state the cost of the parking , it cost us 27 euros for less than 24 hours .
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Homely with loads of creative personality! Nice kitchen and breakfast. Lovely host. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay. Great location in the old part of Rennes. Great night time vibe in the district around the cathedral!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: very friendly and care-taking owner the facility is an old appartment, decorated with a lot a charm and a superb wooden florr for example. Very artistic and rustic, but I mean in a very positive way. Breakfast is delicious and generous.
Cons: old houses tend to be a little less intimate: creaking floor, corridor to cross to go to your private bathroom.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: If you are fed up with ordinary hotels, then this is the ideal accommodation! An extremely charming flat, full of books and other nicely decorated stuff. Each room is totally different, it is very clean, it has beautiful bathrooms. Moreover, it is absolutely centrally located and Brigitte, the host, is very polite and helpful. This apartment has SOUL!

Cons: Addagio standards are very low when ı compare my experience a week ago in le havre. One of the boys in reception desk is very unkind and rude. Pros: Kind welcoming
Cons: Everything was perfect
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is practically right in front of the station (just be careful because Google maps may send you to the wrong location), and is therefore really close to the buses that go to Mont-Saint-Michel. The girl in the reception was super nice and helpful, and she speaks very good Spanish.
Cons: The bathroom smelled a bit like drainage during the night and is super small (I found it a bit difficult to sit in the toilet because my knees and head would hit the wall before I could sit down). The bed was also quite narrow, so we were a little bit afraid of falling down during the night if we moved.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, Nice arty decoration. They were able to produce a gluten free breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Since the hotel is located in the inner yard, it's surprisingly quiet there and henceforth I could sleep really well. I liked the location - very short way from the main train station as well as the city centre and Jardin du Thabor plus the buses and metro lines towards the universities that I was visiting. The breakfast was really good - with nice additional choices such as crepes.
Cons: I did not like that you could not switch of the ventilation in the bathroom - I do not like the sound of it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the bathroom and the fact that the staff left croissants for guests to pick up during the day. The inner courtyard Is lovely and atmospheric. The breakfast is good. So, too, is the location - between the station and the old town. The bed was comfortable.
Cons: It is a pity it was not possible to help oneself to tea and coffee during breakfast. As a result, liquid intake was limited, which is critical on one of the hottest days of the year. To remedy this, we suggest the addition of thermos flasks with tea and coffee on the breakfast buffet table.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly staff
Cons: Small room but good value for money
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful little find of a hotel! Loved the little garden courtyars and location

Cons: We booked a room with 3 single beds but apparently no such room exists however the lady on reception was very helpful and offered a complimentary single room for our 2 nights there.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very good.
Cons: I booked a room with a balcony which I thought would be a private one with chairs, but no it wasn’t a balcony but a corridor towards several hotel rooms overlooking their patio. No place to sit there unfortunately.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. They locked up our bikes for us in a closet so they would be safe.
Cons: The AC went down on a 97 degree day. It was not their fault. But they also never apologized and when I said I should at least get a free beer from the mini fridge they didn’t seem at all happy with that idea.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing except the air conditioning did not work properly and the staff member at reception did not appear to be able to help with it.
9.5 Excellent

5.5 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: The AC was out during heat wave & they said there was nothing they could do. No fans provided. Thank god the windows opened but really had no relief. No elevator.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location was great. The room was clean and very nice.
Cons: We booked the hotel as a present for my sister’s anniversary. It was a surprise. My sister went with her husdban who is a 2,10m tall and big... He did not fit through the doors of a very small shower. My sister went to reception 3 minutes after entering the room and when they checked the shower straight away went to reception to ask for a room with a bigger one. The receptionist that day (you know who you are) told them that there were no more rooms available and also that all the other rooms had the same toilet. My sister was frustrated because taking a shower it’s a basic need but understood. It was only one night so... However after a while back in her room she checked booking and other sites and realized that there were rooms available at the hotel with bath and bigger shower for the same price or even cheaper... So she couldn’t understand why this particular receptionist did not do his job and swap them to another available room. She went downstairs and asked for an explanation of why he lied to her. He basically dismissed her and told her that now it was too late to change rooms as he did not have anyone to clean the room to what my sister answered that she had to come 3 minutes after entering the room and was offer no other alternative. She then went on to confront him on his poor customer service to end up being offer a handicap room. He literally offered two people with absolutely no handicap problem a room for disabled people but also told her that it was next to the bar terraces so if there was too much noise not to go to him afterwards complaining. Anyway... First of all you don’t offer a room for disable people to someone who is not disable when you have plenty of other rooms. Basically because you might end up with a disable person on your door who actually needs the room. Secondly taking a shower is basic human need... You have other rooms available do not lie! Do your job.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Great location with a very good and helpful staff. In the midst of a very vibrant neighborhood that has plenty of food, drink, and shopping. I would stay here again as it was a great value.
Cons: The location could be a bit better described. Expected to be able to drive up to the hotel, but the public garage is located a short distance away. Following the NAV, we ended up driving in circles until we called the desk and they helped us.
7.5 Good
Cons: The location was great - just by the main areas of bars and restaurants. However the sound proofing was terrible so we were disturbed both nights and had virtually no sleep. There was market on Saturday morning and they started putting it up at 4am. We heard every voice and every metal pole being banged together. On Saturday night, outside the hotel is clearly the place for young people to congregate when the bars closed so there was a party outside our room until 0530. It was like there was no window there.window in our room the noise was so loud and so total was the lack of soundproofing. So what looked a great hotel in a great location was not good. I'm afraid to say I wouldn't stay there again and I would advice anyone who wants at least some sleep not to stay there. They really need to improve the soundproofing from a.low start of zero. Finally...when I poked the room it said I would have 3 single blokes but there was one single and a double. Not good for 3 blokes! In all fairness to the staff, they have us a second room which was good as it is a tiny room for 3 people. I should add that I'm not a serial whinger - this is the first bad report I've ever written. Hope it's helpful.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location and friendly staff. very clean. Nice breakfast
Cons: Very noisy between the many terrasses and the early market. Seasonal fruit at breakfast? Didn’t see.
