Awesome location on Reykjavik's main street while not close enough to be bothered by the nightly audio chaos. Room was rather small but had everything we needed at a reasonable price.
Not super easy to find
I was traveling alone and felt very safe here. All the tours picked me up and I felt comfortable walking around the area on my own. Also, the woman at the front desk was so nice and helpful and made several phone calls for me. I would definitely stay here again!
A little bit small, but relatively cheap, clean, convenient, and breakfast included.
Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, nice and comfortable rooms.
Flexibility in downgrading me to a cheaper room w/out decrease in the room price.
Breakfast was not up to scratch. Also listening to a loud TV and two philipino maids having a loud discussion behind my back for the duration of my 15 min breakfast was not nice. The drunken lot in the bar in the afternoon made me take my drink into the room.
No bath room in the room.
- Extremely friendly staff - Nice atmosphere - Good breakfast - Nice soft bed
- Some of the rooms didn't have their own bathroom (but that was alright for me) - Some rooms are prone to have traffic noise (I had no problems with that though)
central location including breakfast
shared bathroom facilities were not clearly explained on website so disappointed. and had twin beds rather than a double when booked for a couple.
Clean , central , best of all , service excellent , staff very helpful
Clean nice rooms
Staff told me our two rooms would be 120 euros each, then revised the price upwards during both of our two separate stays at the hotel - got the feeling they bumped up the normal price to match an inflated price I'd agreed to when booking on the internet
This hotel is wondeful. Don't be put of by dreary exterior and hallways - rooms are excellent for price. Ideal for centre of City - all within walking distance. Staff very friendly Breakfast good for Iceland hotel fare.
The fact that they had our reservation. Nothing else
The decor. The small size of the room. The very noisy traffic outside. The bad, cheap fittings. The flaking paint on the window frames. The fact that it was not a proper double bed matress but two single matresses pushed together. The horrible noise when the toilet was flushed. The fact that the bathroom was so tiny that my knees pressed against the wall when I sat on the toilet.
Clean, simple, and comfortable room with nice large window to bring in the outside light. This was my first time in a shared bathroom hotel -- they had more than one with both toilet and shower. It was clean and stocked with soap and towels. Because the hotel was lightly filled that night, I think I only one other person used the bathroom, so it worked out very well. The breakfast was well done, with lots of foods, yogurts, and drinks to choose from. While not located in the center of things, it is right off of a main street that takes you less than five minutes to walk to the main church and deep into the older section of the city.
