location, friendly staff breakfast is pretty expensive, rooms are small for a 4 star hotel
The heating system did not work.I sleeped all night without heating. Breakfast was too expensive (17,50€) as all other services (for sauna 10€ , for a bottle of water 5,16€ !!!).It was not a good experience.
The restaurant food was excellent. The cost of breakfast.
The price The room was tiny.
Value for money, location. The reading lamps above the bed. Breakfast too expensive.
The ambience of the restaurant was very good and the staff were very helpful and polite I thought the breakfast was not good value for money and that the room and particularly the bathroom was small for the rate charged.
The staff is very friendly. The hotel is bright new. The decoration is simple design, very relaxing. The situation is nice, in a middle of the fields and forest. Very calm. The room is clean and comfortable. Nothing.
The hotel is in a very quiet place, overall was very clean. The wellness area is not to be considered a real wellness area, it's very basic and not cozy at all. There is no atmosphere in this hotel and I was very disappointed. You walk in the sauna area on a concrete floor, they could make a nice floor out of wood or something nice were to walk. The room was cold, it took 6 hours to get warm. The location is in the middle of nowhere, I still don't understand what is the purpose of this hotel: weekend, relax? Not a cozy place to spend a weekend!
Free internet good speed. Stylish hotel room for single use. Instant coffee is not expected in a 4 star hotel
The personnel on reception is very helpful. Breakfast is OK (the view from the breakfast room is very pleasant). The floor in rooms and coridors is awful - like on the parking: it's a poured floor which produces great noises. When the guests in the next rooms come - the impossible noise is in all your room around. Every step is like a fall of hammer. The design of the room is also more than disputable - the open bath without any walls is in the center of the room. So no privacy and high humidity in the room are guaranteed. They have bath and WC with the common door (very noisy and no privacy). Roommate entered the room with "Do not disturb" sign on the door. In this moment my hisband was in this OPEN bath. The only brasserie near the hotel is awful - meals are too "fine dining" - they cooked 2 dishes 2,5 hours and they have not been tasty at all.
a great room with a twist
the modern design of the hotel makes the stay excellent.
Very nice location. Quiet environment. Modern and unique design. Very good restaurant nearby (De Halle Bloom?) with quality food and service. Room wasn't spotlessy clean. Bed had probably been used for a nap. One of the pillows was dirty. I thought flooring wasn't consistent with quality standard of other building material of the hotel, but that's probably personal taste. Minimal service of the staff for breakfast.
Nice modern design, clean and very friendly staff
Good restaurant in the grounds of the hotel. Rather bleak, functional, minimalist style, lacking atmosphere, smart design being more important than comfort in this hotel. Breakfast not included and expensive, so breakfasted elsewhere.
Perfect diner - open kitchen. Nice location. Modern looks. It was difficult to find. Not close to the highway.
Nice and friendly staff, comfortable and spacious rooms, a relaxed atmosphere. Great place to withdraw after a hectic traveling work day. None
Its excellent restaurant with intelligent wine list and very good served breakfast (wonderful, no buffet) in the centre of a town with good shops. The noise from the kitchen's extractor fans, I imagine a room at the front would have avoided this. For one night this was ok, for a longer stay it might have been problematic.
I liked the furnishings, the shower, the heating and the food. Also the service. I did smell some cigarette smoke, despite this being a non-smoking hotel
design of the room/bathroom shower - the water did not flow off, one simply ended up standing in water when taking a shower (yuk)
Service was absolutely forst-class. Restaurant was amazing - breakfast roo/bar is very nice with a lot of Dutch ambiance
perfect location, attentive staff, wonderful breakfasts, beautiful hotel
Nice rooms and coffee machine
The location was excellent for the "city" of Wageningen; there was an espresso machine in the room; the room was huge. For my taste it has the best croissants outside of France. My colleague and I had both rooms on floor 1 and 2 at the far end of the hotel floor, for "good" reasons: a constant rumbling and humming noise from the exhaust system, this was annoying, not easy to find sleep, the statement of the front desk that "this will stop in an hour" was a lie, it never stopped. Next, the bathroom has no heating: I got cold feet while in the warm shower. The free spring water provided in a bottle is a fake. The fact that it was filled to maximum, but the cap was already opened before I touched it, indicates a possible cheap refill with tab water (seems to be a standard procedure in many hotels). The rooms are huge and empty, hence not very cosy, overall a cold design. Question of personal preference, however.
The espresso machine in our room No atmosphere, arrogant staff, " too much ado about nothing".
The hotel was very nice, and the staff was very helpful.
Quite surroundings and very nice area for walking. Choice of food on menu could be extended
The surroundings. *Evening reception said there was not iron board available at the hotel and left us waiting at the reception for half an hour. In the morning there was a iron board. *The room was not locked after cleaning the first day. *Room was not made up the second day and no clean towels were left. *Not worth a four star rating
We liked the location, excellent and very friendly service; rooms clean and very convenient. We had a warm feeling and felt very relaxed. The buffet breakfast was very good. We will certainly return when we visit Holland again. We cannot think of anything. We liked our stay so much that we decided to stay 2 more nights.
Nice local hotel in forest setting with clean rooms and good beds. Hot and cold breakfast served in nice spacious dining room. Quiet surroundings. The hotel closes at midnight, if you arrive late its difficult to check in
good location, good restaurant, fine room, internet
the staff was very friendly, the breakfast buffet was abundant
The only statisfaction I had in this hotel was when I arrived. The person was gentle and tried to help. A lot to say: room too small, very noisy, lights from the road straight on my bed, a weak wifi signal, and Internet not usable (too slow). Breakfast was poor and finally they wanted me to pay full reservation when I checked out the next morning! I did already say in the evening that I would leave the next morning. Everything is in Deutch, but hopefully they speak decent English. Run away!
The food in the restaurant was very good. Lack of english language news channel on TV/radio
Located in a very nice area. Insufficient heating.
The location is fabulous - right in the middle of the woods! The beds and pillows were the most comfortable I have ever had in a hotel anywhere too!
comfortable room very heavy doors of lifts
The guests are European and non-European attending either training or workshop in a friendly atmosphere; and the staff interact well and are helpful to the guests. The hotel also includes very good breakfast. The internet service in the hotel is charging relatively higher fee.
The recepcionist was very friendly
It is very convenient to walk to all downtown ameneties and it is very close to the bus station.
central to town having to go to main hotel for breakfast
had grreat time be back same time next yea bar was shut on a sat night
Friendly staff This was a business trip. Was placed in alternate facility that was difficult to access and it was without WiFi INternet access and no immediate laundry facilities. This hampered my ability to conduct business.
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the hotel breakfast which was included with my stay was delicious.
The central location. The facilities available, and the friendly staff. The single room I stayed in was very small even by European standards, and there was limited wardrobe space. The bathroom was tiny as well. There was no clock radio.
The rooms breathed new and for Dutch standards they were also spacious enough - there's even a small living-room space. The decoration was simple (practically 100% ikea) and very pleasant. Fortunately for me this hotel did not have many things that I dislike in typical Dutch hotels such as carpets in the rooms, old blankets, and old wall-paper. The staff was heterogeneous - some very friendly, others not that much. Overall this hotel is a good, positive surprise! The mattresses and pillows were not good. The breakfast service was rather poor. Although poor breakfasts are usual in the Netherlands, this one suffered from disorganized service (few people attending the guests, too dark environment), disposition of food/drinks and labelling not clear.
A quiet country location with friendly and helpful staff. Nice bar and excellent restaurant. Would definitely stay again.
The friendly staff and the beautiful Christmas decorations during our stay. Breakfast with table service in a very nice looking restaurant. I really regret it that, due to our time schedule, we haven't been able to have dinner in the restaurant but will certainly put it on the calendar during a next visit in the area. I missed a luggage rack in the room and the "collection" of 4 very different coat hangers was rather comical. Some bath towel hooks and a well sized mirror near the room's door, not in the cupboard as now, would raise the points score for comfort.
Kind staff and nice food Noisy rooms due to bad insulation and proximity with the motorway
Excellent food None
Excellent and nice service. Nice location.
Staff was pleasant and helpful. Location was great for attending a wedding next door at the Castle. The apartment I rented was much more expensive than a regular room but I thought the convenience of a stove and refrigerator would be worth the extra cost. As it turns out, there were no pots, pans, dishes, glassware etc! Not even a coffee pot! A bit ridiculous to call this an apartment! Worst part was a metal grate stair case that you had to use to access the apartment. Women attending a wedding next door wearing high heeled shoes would find it impossible to go up or down these steps!
