The historical house was great to see inside. Very small room
Lovely old, very old house set back in the trees. Our room had windows all the way around two sides. Nice view of the yard and trees. Lots of cool air. Breakfast was local strawberries, eggs with cheese and herbs and a fabulous cream cheese pastry roll The house was built in the 1800's. The updating to include a bath in the room has reduced the size of the room. It was comfortable, but a bit small.
The tub in the middle of the room. Innkeeper. Bed and mattress... not suitable for making passionate love.
It was very old, not a good neighborhood, no good eating places close. Lighting terrible. Needs a lot of work.
This was a quaint old bed and breakfast and was exactly what I was looking for. The grounds were beautiful. Everything was clean, and breakfast was great!
The hotel was conveniently located about 15-20 minutes from Asheville. It reflects all of the quintessential elements of 1800s charm, and visitors will instantly be transported to another era. The grounds are beautiful as well. It was a great anniversary! It did not bother my husband and me, but this BnB did not have air conditioning, which might an inconvenience to some. The breakfast, although delicious, was a bit small. Overall, not many downfalls.
The history/Chestnut walls/acreage/staff/windows/comfy bed/lots of room in B & B/good food/antiques Everything was great except that someone arranging for something to do with seafood woke us up directly under our window at 6:30 am
The Inn was very well keep and clean and the breakfast was very tasty. Don't be afraid of the sign that is old and in need of some paint.
Our villa was very outdated. TV worked half of the time. Refrigerator messed up and had to be unplugged due to fear of fire. Looked as if the villa had never been updated. Also had trouble with the air conditioning. We were very disappointed with the look of the villa and we will not stay there again.
Shockingly hard to get to...we were not counting on the hour to get to Asheville as it appears on a map to be about a half hour away. The unit was fine. Clean appliances and tub but the shower and carpets definitively need updating. The king size bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in but the sofa bed that my kids slept in was absolutely dreadful. I know sofa beds are notoriously horrid but this topped the charts. There was mildew around the shower. The overall layout of the unit was awkward with the entrance opening up into the foyer/sm. living room and then down stairs was bedroom, bath, and kitchen. NO internet (which kinda stinks as I could not look for things to do in the area) but I did find a coffee shop down the road that had wifi. Would have been nice is the staff had provided that info.
The location and offered activities were excellent. The hotel was fine - the cheek in experience was Dreadful!
Nothing it was disgusting. Would never stay there again The room was not clean - the pillows were all yellow and dirty - there was blood on the sheets - it was overall a terrible hotel
Very friendly staff. Decent complimentary breakfast. Nice view of the mountains. Dog friendly a major plus. Front desk manager even came around to say hello to our little furry traveler. Not a thing.
Price of room was very reasonable. The room was clean and had adequate linens and pillows. There was coffee, juice, pastries available each morning. The bathroom was small but clean and tidy. The refrigerator came in very handy. Construction on the roof (?) was noisy.

It was a bit expensive
too pricey for a two star motel

The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of fluffy pillows. It is located just off the Interstate exit so it's easily accessible. There are restaurants and a grocery store nearby. The door in our room was hard to open. There was a gap at the bottom of the door and a gap where the curtain closed. There's a mirror on the wall that could be seen through the gap giving people outside a view into the room.
Was very clean and better than expected for two star hotel.
Bedding had stains. Not cool.
I love that this hotel is near Montreat and in walking distance to beautiful downtown Black Mountain. It is in the mountains, but there are good local restaurants (Trailhead, Louise's Kitchen, & Dobra's tea shop). Fun trip!
It was very clean and comfortable. Convenient location The bathroom was VERY small!
The only saving grace was the staff. The bathrooms are glorified closets. If u take a shower at night, there is no light so u have to leave curtain open. There is a step down into the bathroom that you WILL trip over, fall or stub your toe. We also slept on top of the covers and the pool closes at 7.
Nothing. It smelled and it was dirty.if there was another hotel that had a room we would have left. Everywhere was booked .Our key fit another room . Room 102 our room was 107.We finally got up and slept in the car we felt safer there and cooler and my car didn't stink. We didn't even shower it was so dirty and had a window in the shower you could see in the shower. Very disappointed! And he refused to refund us .
