10.0 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely loved our stay at Tierra Buxo. From the moment we enter until after the moment we left, we felt welcomed and guided towards a relaxed and personalised stay. We especially enjoyed the sincere interest in optimising our stay by suggesting hikes, providing us with tips on when to and how to enjoy the region to its fullest. Marta and Romain are redefining the word hospitality in the best possible way!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner couple was very nice and helpful. Marta and Roman make the stay in their place a special experience. 100% recommended and we will come back again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in. Marta and Romain are the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Marta was happy to explain excursions in considerable detail at the beginning of each day and Romain is a truly inspirational chef.
Cons: Nothing!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Marta and Romain are experienced hotel managers who give you a feeling that your are the only one that matters. They started the hotel in 2018 and everything is brand new. The warm welkom and the tour shows you how personal involved they are. Nothing is too much and they will direct you to all the nice things to do in the area. The Hotel is clean and modern, you can enjoy an excellent 3 course diner made by Romain himself.
Cons: No bad comments.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is beautiful, the hotel has been extremely well thought out and the quality is outstanding. The service standards from the hosts are also exceptional. My wife and I travel extensively and also work in associated industries - this was a delight to spend time at, albeit too short, and is one of those places we’d return to based on the overall experience. Wonderful views, lovely pool, excellent rooms and back to the hosts - brilliant! The food and wine were an unexpected pleasure and the hospitality as good as any in the luxury sector only more personalised. Great advice as we left to visit a local ravine and see the vultures that proliferate - a wonderful experience we would have missed otherwise. Marta and Romain are two fine exponents of hospitality and I couldn’t recommend highly enough.
Cons: Nothing during our short stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sheer Class. Outstanding. Two experienced professional hotel and caterers, as committed owner-managers, have completely modernised a large and lovely family home, with stunning views. Really amazing place and lovely people. A treasure hidden deep in beautiful countryside. We loved the remote location.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff (better to say they hosts) - the most welcoming couple in the world! The comfort - the hotel is quite new (April, 2018) so everything is new, modern and very good quality!
Cons: Nothing to complain!

Hotel Castillo De Alquézar - Alquézar - Building
6
9.4 Excellent (310 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Castillo de Alquézar in Alquezar, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Casa Fabián and Salto De Pozan De Vero.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A beautifully and elegantly refurbished property - the view from our room of the landscape and castle was spectacular. We had a view from every window and a wonderful balcony. The room was spacious and well appointed.
Cons: No signage for the hotel anywhere. Verbose instructions sent by email on how to find it including going down a road with a no entry sign. Other accomodation and restaurants had signage at this point. The town was a tourist Mecca and involved driving on a narrow cobbled path to get to the accomodation to drop off our luggage through tutting pedestrians. It didn’t help that it was a Saturday pm we were not warned of this before we booked. Overall we have given the property a high score because there are many positive aspects but feel that the issues raised should be addressed.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful town, great location and amazing views
Cons: The AC was not strong enough.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was lovely, with a plate of meats and cheese as well as different pastries every day. The bed was very comfortable and the room with a view had a lovely view. The hotel is quiet at night.
Cons: It says clearly on the website that children are not allowed, but at breakfast next to us was the typical noisy family with two kids under 10 who picked up all the food on the breakfast buffet, touched each piece of bread, fruit, etc, kicked their table, etc. which made me wonder why I had paid 130 euros per night to stay in a school cafeteria. The hotel management should not have allowed that.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location - the rooms were very nice and the views were spectacular. Breakfast was also good with fresh OJ, croissants, meats and cheeses.
Cons: The staff(front desk person) spoke almost no English so it was impossible to get any information about places to go for food, or where to park, anything. He seemed to be not friendly but perhaps that was because he couldn’t communicate. We loved Alquézar and canyoning and the hiking but felt not welcome in many areas of the town. It was actually kind of strange - see pic below of signs that were posted outside of several of the shops there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, lovely room with masses of space and great castle view. Good breakfast.
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent

Pros: The hosts were amazing young couple, helpful and friendly that made our stay more pleasent. Dinner and breakfast were really good quality for incredibly good price. I would difinately suggest to have a dinner in the hotel that was made by the host.
Cons: As our room was next to the kitchen and dining room so it was a bit loud, but apart of that we really enjoyed our stay.

Pros: Everything. Really lovely room in a neat, friendly, cosy, well appointed establishment. The owners were so nice and helpful. Good wifi. The views from the spacious room were beautiful. The town itself is jaw-droppingly spectacularly beautiful. The kind of place we would return to in a heartbeat. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
Cons: The only (very minor) thing was the shower cubicle is a bit small - you might find it a bit tight if you are a large human and have to bend down to pick up the soap!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In the centre of the amazing city of Alquazar lies this great casa. We had a beautiful room, comfortable bed, clean shower with hot water, aircon and in the backyard a great restaurant! The breakfast, bread with different toppings every day and fresh juice, was delicious as well! The perfect place to relax after an adventurous and sportive day in Sierra y Cañones de Guara national park.
Cons: The owner spoke only French or Spanish, but isn't that part of the fun in such remote village? :)

Pros: Rural la Sal was a lovely place to stay. The room was spotless and bathroom facilities were great. The view from our window was so picturesque! The herd of sheep in the distance with bells clanging softly completed the picture. Anna and Fleming, the hosts, were most attentive and spoke perfect English. We had dinner at the hotel which was innovative and delicious. As was the plentiful breakfast. I wish we could have stayed longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this idyllic hotel nestled high up in the mountains. We arrived after a long drive with a few hiccups en route which delayed us but to arrive at this gem with the most idyllic views made it all worthwhile!! Hosted by Fleming and Anna who were so friendly and helpful. We sat out on the terrace and enjoyed our wine before a gorgeous dinner cooked by Flaming. Our only regret is that we only had one brief night but would definitely come back for an extended stay and enjoy some hiking in the area. Highly recommend!
Cons: Nothing at all.

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Boutique Maribel in Alquezar, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Casa Fabián and Salto De Pozan De Vero. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and luggage storage.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This property is in a great location in Alquezar, walking distance from everything and easily accessible upon arrival. The free, gated parking was a real plus, especially since parking everywhere else in the city was extremely stressful. We parked it and left it for our stay. The lobby and room are thoughtfully and eccentrically decorated in a very tasteful way. The whole building feels classy, clean and comfortable. Our room had a fantastic view and everything else that we needed. I typically never bathe in hotel tubs, but this one was spotlessly clean, large and had great jacuzzi settings. It was like having our very own hot tub in the room. Really cool! The breakfast was very good as well- starting with a warm plate of iberico ham and fresh heirloom tomatoes and followed by breads and local jams and fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee. We both said that this was the nicest place we have ever stayed in. It feels like a very clean and comfortable museum. The town, although off the beaten path, is a must see! Don’t miss the Hotel Maribel!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel - clean, comfortable beds, cozy room. Fresh and tasty breakfast. We would book it again for sure. Parking is not the one next to the hotel but you have to drive a bit further - ask for the instructions at the reception. The town was such a nice surprise - worth a drive! Do not miss the trip to the canyon - as we arrived quite late we did a short one and it was still fun:)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, stunning views, great location, great staff attitude, perfect room
Cons: Our room was on the last floor which is difficult with heavy luggage (luckily I didn't have a heavy bag) and Breakfast may not be personalized but we left satisfied

Pros: Very interesting and delicious breakfast and breakfast room. The hotel is unlike any other, it is interestingly furnished. Great location right in the Old Town. And the view from our room window to the old town and the castle was wonderful.
Cons: All information in the room is in Spanish only (except for the description of the evacuation). The hotel staff also speaks only Spanish, so there are communication difficulties.
6.3 Good
Pros: We didn't have the breakfast. Location was fine.
Cons: No tea and coffee making facilities in room. Bathroom fan didn't work, and when I explained this courteously to the manager, I was told "this isn't my problem". Room cramped. No shower curtain. I could go on . . .

Pros: Lovely old house in a beautiful village. Friendly and comfortable and the terrace was a great place to chill.

Pros: This was the highlight of our trip to Spain! The hotel is beautiful and our room was spacious, with balcony and amazing, gorgeous view. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We arrived hungry and at a time of day when all the restaurants were closed. We were given a tray of treats to keep us going until dinner. The Ruta de las Pasarelas was a “Can’t miss” hike. The village of Alquézar is very beautiful. We would have enjoyed more time there. Highly recommend!!
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has been beautifully converted from an old stone building in the old part of town. It has retained it's historic charm yet has all the modern conveniences. On site parking was a real bonus at no extra cost. The continental breakfast was very good with each table set and provided for when you arrived. Staff were very helpful and accomodating.
Cons: Wifi was down in the rooms while we were there and we needed to go to the lounge for any reception. It may be helpful if the hotel provided parking details before arrival. There is little room to stop in front of the hotel and the parking is around the back of the facility.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, general vibe of place and personal, value
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful hotel set at the top of a beautiful town. Alquézar is a must-see destination. Villa de Alquézar is a clean, simple hotel with nice helpful staff and a beautiful pool area. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom adjourning. We spent our time here walking the town soaking the vibes and taking pictures and the pool was a perfect place to relax at the end of a day. Villa de Alquézar is within close proximity to food and drink (the town is small). Good coffee can be had from Panaderia L’Artica on the edge of town nearer the main cathedral.
Cons: It’s not that I didn’t like it... but the breakfast was my least favourite part. We arrived to the table at 9:30am the first morning and the food had been sitting on the table from 8am it felt like. We then arrived at 8:30am the next morning and it still felt a bit ‘old’. I think serving fresh when people arrive is just always going to be superior. When I come back again, I would like to see that as a point of difference. Would also be good if they offered real espresso coffee not just filtered. Thank you :)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very pleased with the staff everyone was very helpful and friendly.I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
Cons: No restaurant in hotel, but there were several restaurants in the surrounding area

Pros: Ideal location for an overnight stop to explore Aínsa and surrounding areas. Staff friendly, check in easy. Great cafe and restaurant under the hotel and supermarket opposite.
Cons: We had a room at the back that was very dark, fine for a one night stay but it would have been disappointing to stay any longer in the room.

5.7 Okay
Pros: Nice room with good view of river
Cons: No restaurant, bar is smokey
4.7 Okay
Pros: Nothing partcicularly.
Cons: The open smoking policy. The entire hotel reeked of cigarette smoke. In addition, to have a breakfast included in the hotel price that was held in an open smoking public bar was unacceptable in the extreme. Spain needs to get themselves out of the middle ages in smoking policy.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: we found it had very helpful staff, the room was very clean, warm and comfortable. secure car parking. ideal stop over for France/Spain.
5.6 Okay
Pros: In the centre of Ainsa. It provided a comfortable bed for the night. Breakfast was basic but adequate. Plenty of Restaurants nearby.
Cons: The entrance to the supposedly secure Car Park managed to damage 2 out of 3 bikes in our party because of the severe camber on either side of the gate track. They were so badly damaged our friends couldn't continue their holiday. The Air Conditioning unit in my room leaked so badly it flooded the bedroom within one hour. Only one member of Staff really tried to help and liaise with us. The Bar / Cafe within the hotel (open to the public) was very rough & ready.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff very relaxed atmosphere the hotel is very much part of the community ,large public bar/cafeteria and while the description says it has no parking there is parking
4.4 Okay

Pros: Very clean and well maintained camping. Not a single remark.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was really roomy and all worked well including the shower that was excellent. Towels were changed on a regular basis. The staff were all very good. Helpful and pleasant. The situation of the hotel was just outside the village, with spectacular views over the rural countryside. The pool was really nice with ample seating around. There was plenty of comfortable seating in areas inside the hotel. The veranda near the bar was ideal to have a drink or snack as was the bar itself. The restaurant was well set out. The food excellent value. A varied and interesting menu. We really enjoyed our stay and would return in the future.
Cons: A less complicated air conditioning service. Needed to be programmed. Not simple enough.
