Nice comfortable bed, simple breakfast with good choice and good quality food. Clean room nice decoration.
Could do with a cost of paint on the corridor.
The area was good and we felt safe, easy walk to everything.
Our bathroom had a few problems. The plug in the sink was on the side for 2 days as the room service must have assumed it was broken. On the second day I fixed it. The sealant around the toilet and bidet was not up to a diy standard and there wasn’t any around the shower attachment.
The jacuzzi in the room
Hotel Metropolis was the last stop of our honeymoon and we decided to book the suite. TV didn't work until last day. When we called reception, they sent us a "technician" who was a waiter two mornings after... Anyway since they couldn't sort it out the issue they had for us the best excuse ever... "is Sunday and no one will come", I mean I'm paying almost 200€ per night in my honeymoon and this is a 4 star hotel, is that how you treat your guests? Move on to breakfast, honestly don't know how to describe it. Understanding the fact that the space itself is small this could be easily the breakfast of any bed and breakfast but not of a 4 star hotel. Don't you dare to order any option to the kitchen because won't be possible. When the four slices of watermelon (which was all the fruit provided) were over that was it, don't wait for any replacement. Id love to keep writing as we are really disappointed but at the same time I feel it is a waste of time. So, regarding the recommendation, no I do not recommend this hotel at all.
Had a fantastic stay in Rome made more comfortable with an upgrade to our room due to it being our wedding anniversary. The staff were so helpful especially Ambra on reception.
Clean,comfortable and a good breakfast
