Pros: The staff here are very helpful and extremely friendly. That alone was enough for me to be happy I chose them. The maintained a high standard for cleanliness and it was so nice to see their public facilities maintained well stocked and smell great! This was my first time solo travelling anywhere and I'm so happy that Lorenzo and his staff just made me feel so welcomed from day one and answered any questions.

Cons: Walked to the hostel from termini Station with a luggage, the roads were not easy to move the luggage with. Toilet lacks ventilation except when you open the door, but that's find. Suggest placing a floor mat in the toilet too if possible.

Pros: The staff here are very helpful and extremely friendly. That alone was enough for me to be happy I chose them. The maintained a high standard for cleanliness and it was so nice to see their public facilities maintained well stocked and smell great! This was my first time solo travelling anywhere and I'm so happy that Lorenzo and his staff just made me feel so welcomed from day one and answered any questions.

Pros: Perfect location to visit the city, all sites are at walking distance or just take the bus that stops right in front of the house. Even though we arrived much earlier than the checkin time the host gave us the room which was very much appreciated. The host was really nice and gave us a map of the city with all information about what to see and how to get there ... thank you !!! The had an awesome weekend!

Pros: Room, bathrooms and common areas were clean and comfortable. There were large lockers in the rooms, so it was a pretty safe place as well. I was able to put my luggage and backpack in to the locker and there was still more place left for another luggage. The staff were very kind and helpful. Hygiene and safety are the most important things in a hostel for me so overall I was satisfied. Location is not ideal if you prefer walking to the attractions, however it is really close to the Bologna metro station and there are lots of different buses going to the city centre in that area, therefore it wasn’t a problem for me.

Cons: Breakfast was not bad but everything was too sweet for my taste. I would have like to see things like eggs or cheese or something that is not sweet. But like I said it wasn’t that bad. This is not particularly a fault of the property but I have to say that I felt like I was in a high school trip as there were so many children and high schools kids staying there. It was the only place where I couldn’t make new friends in my Italy trip because almost everyone was either a high school kid or much older than me. Maybe it is normally not like this and it was just about the time of the year but at least for me it wasn’t a great place to socialise.

Pros: When you take into account that this is a MEGA hostel (Facilities span over like 5 buildings), not just a small family run one, you understand why some of the restrictions that others complain about, are in place. It's pretty expected that they'll charge you to hold your luggage (the hostel houses SO many people that securing your luggage requires extra resources/security), it's expected that they won't give a FREE towel to everyone, however when you rent it (3 euro) you can have it replaced with a fresh one as often as you like, and you get a tote bag which was handy to take my cosmetic stuff in and out of the bathrooms with. There is lockout from the bar and you can't bring alcohol into the dorms and common area, again so things don't get too crazy with the amount of people there. Yes, some things seem pricey...but this is Rome guys! Despite the size of the place, I never had to wait for a shower or toilet, and they were always clean, pretty dry, and stocked with soap and toilet paper. There's an area to actually sit (there's chairs) in front of a mirror and do your make up/dry hair. The staff were young, kind and willing to help.

Cons: Water was cold. We complained couple of times but nothing changed. For a five day stay it was a great discomfort. Room was not isolated well. We could hear any noise from the corridor. It might be acceptable for a hostel maybe but waking up at 5 am in the morning to the noise of some drunk guys was not nice. Mind that our room was a private one and we paid almost the price of a nice hotel. We chose this hostel because we like to meet backpackers. But in the end we were disappointed.

It was mainly younger women, and one of them set her phone alarm for 4 am and proceeded to let it snooze and repeat 5 times before she got up, turned on her flashlight, and did her last packing. I had on earplugs, but they don't cancel out rude.

Otherwise, I will be back...

Since I arrived early in the morning and left early in the morning, this was a big bonus for me. What I usually appreciate the most is the cleanliness of the bathroom, which in this case was great. Oh, and electricity sockets are everywhere! Stuff was super nice, first day guy from the reception took us to a nearby restaurant where they gave us a discount. Even if I arrived early in the morning and couldn't check-in yet, I could use a shower. In the evening we had a nice pasta night at the hostel, which was nice to hang out a bit with the others. I recommend, since it's only 2,50€ and you get a fair amount of pasta and a small beer or wine. I also recommend breakfast, cause you really get a lot for 5€ (scrambled eggs, bacon, fruits, yogurt, different kinds of spreads, juice, coffee etc.) - you will hardly find a place so cheap in town to eat.

Not only are the beds super comfortable and rooms rather large but the service there is incredible. The staff make a point out of remembering everyone’s names. There is nice spaces to hang out and meet people too. Many planned activities for each night of the week. I was lucky enough to be there for pasta night. I want to make a special mention about Mike the bartender. He is really sweet and super positive. His smile is infectious. The cocktails were delicious. Thanks to the staff for making me feel super welcome. You will always be one of my best parts of my Italy memories.

I was originally booked into the hostel but got moved into the main building which benefited me as I didnt have to walk however it had much more of a hotel feel aspose to a social hostel. The kitchen facilities were poor only microwave, kettle and fridge.

Reception girl also not very warm additude does not seem to want to be there. The food and drinks are expensive and small portions, 6 euro wine 5 for beer. Even storing your suitcase is charged for during the last day after check out. That together with the lack of atmosphere makes that everyone seems to be out of the hostel at all times so for a solo traveler quite hard to make contact.

Also, some staff members were rude. If you ask them the same question twice, they answer in a pissed off way and you’re too scared to ask them again.

During my 4 nights stay, I learned how to manage public transport, they fixed me a cheap and decent barber and suggested a great place to go and eat Syrian Kebab. They even let me accompany them to the shop when doing groceries for the hostel, so I would definitely know how to get there myself. - nice building with a beautiful vintage lift that can get you to the hostel floor - location is really convenient, close by the station - the price is right - inside you have 3 big and decent bathrooms, there was always one available for me - air conditioner in the room that does his job well, which is very convenient on a hot summer day! - breakfast is included and very tasty.

Pros: I read some bad reviews about the hostel but had no other choice but to select it for the price and location. When I arrived, I was surprised that the place was super clean. Breakfast was free and they insist you for breakfast if you leave without breakfast. This place is very close to Roma Termini. I could travel to any place through metro or buses which are all near this location. You can also find good food places. Besides all, Sheikh Munna is a very good guy. He was very helpful and is very hardworking. He made sure I was comfortable and also guided me about the sights in rome. He told me good Ice cream and Kebab place as well. Both places were very good. He also offered me biryani that he cooked himself. One of the nicest host I’ve met. If you’ve any issues, just go to him and he will solve all your issues. As long as sheikh is your host, you’re in safe hands.

Pros: The location was great, 10 minutes walk from Termini Station and beds were comfortable considering they were a hostel bed.
Cons: My bed was given to someone else with no communication, and whilst my personal belongings were still in and underneath the bed. Also, the “cleaner” just straightened out the sheets, they weren’t even changed in preparation for the next person. I cant even imagine when the last time any of the sheets were properly changed is this is their definition of housekeeping. I don’t even think you get what you pay for, this place is a health hazard.

Pros: - brilliant staff, very friendly and helpful. Since the staff consist of students, they know how to make sure you pay the lowest price for what you need. During my 4 nights stay, I learned how to manage public transport, they fixed me a cheap and decent barber and suggested a great place to go and eat Syrian Kebab. They even let me accompany them to the shop when doing groceries for the hostel, so I would definitely know how to get there myself. - nice building with a beautiful vintage lift that can get you to the hostel floor - location is really convenient, close by the station - the price is right - inside you have 3 big and decent bathrooms, there was always one available for me - air conditioner in the room that does his job well, which is very convenient on a hot summer day! - breakfast is included and very tasty.
Cons: - It’s a little bit difficult to find since the name is only visible on the doorbell of the property itself, which is part of an apartment so you have many bells. - the beds where you can sleep are quite wobbly. Especially in the bunk beds you do feel how your neighbour turns around in his/her sleep. - instant coffee during breakfast. If you care, there is always tea though! - The biggest inconvenience for a budget hostel to me is that there is no cooking available for the guests.

Cons: The place is nearby the Termini station (it's literally a 5 minute walk from Via Giolitti). The staff has been super friendly and helped me even if I came with a bike alongside. The structure is very clean, comfortable beds, three different bathrooms that are always cleaned and sanitized. I would recommend to stay here, prices are also the cheapest in the whole city.

Pros: I read some bad reviews about the hostel but had no other choice but to select it for the price and location. When I arrived, I was surprised that the place was super clean. Breakfast was free and they insist you for breakfast if you leave without breakfast. This place is very close to Roma Termini. I could travel to any place through metro or buses which are all near this location. You can also find good food places. Besides all, Sheikh Munna is a very good guy. He was very helpful and is very hardworking. He made sure I was comfortable and also guided me about the sights in rome. He told me good Ice cream and Kebab place as well. Both places were very good. He also offered me biryani that he cooked himself. One of the nicest host I’ve met. If you’ve any issues, just go to him and he will solve all your issues. As long as sheikh is your host, you’re in safe hands.

Cons: One thing that I didnt like was one of the other people staying there- who came and yelled at us one night for flushing the toilet at 12.30 (00.30). But- that is nothing that has anything to do with the property or house or anything. Other than that it was a great time!

Cons: We arrived Rome behind schedule because of delayed flight and such a long queue for the taxi. Plus we unfortunately met super rude cab driver, got lost (we were told it’s just normal thing in Rome). But as a result, we have to pay 45€ fine for the late check-in, the guy has to go to the place, hand the keys over, so that was the fee regardless what happened to us. There were also other guests checked in late, guess he could make a fortune out of that, but still felt pissed off because he had to hand over the keys! This place is not a hotel, not a hostel, and not even an airbnb!!! The staff told me that, then what was that?? we got a super heated room in a 4-room apartment, open kitchen, not private at all and people walking around... Would never come back or recommend!!

Cons: Unsafe place, they doesn't have lockers, it's not possible lock the rooms door, some one stolen my stuff in the hostel and the host guy doesn't wants to call police I have to be angry to make him call police, it's the worst hostel I have been. I pay for a room with six people and there were nine persons in the same room, and they doesn't give me money back.

The mattresses on the beds were probably quite old and very soft, so our backs hurt a little in the morning.
