The hotel was practically empty as we went in the off season for skiing, so we were able to use the pool and spa facilities with noone else there most of the time. The views were incredible and the room was clean and spacious. Being the off season, there is nothing to do in this area at all, only one restaurant open, no shops and no marked nature walks. The hotel's Sky Bar, which were were looking forard to, was not open due to lack of guest. We were only stopping over for one night, and I would not recommend more than this in the off season.
The hotel served a purpose for a skiing trip, out of all the hotels in the resort I was glad I was staying in the Orlovetz. While the breakfast is very edible my biggest complaint would be that it was cold most mornings, not the most impressive when heading for the slopes. Buffet dinner not recommended but a very good restruarant down the road, you won't go hungry !!!
Hotel was quite and in a central position of the town Reastaurant level is very low compared to the 5 stars indicated
The excellent location with was the great advadage of this hotel.
Fantastic views from the room Swimming pool was not open and the pool table did not work
good value for money poor breakfast
Spectacular view over the mountains(stayed at 5th floor).Large room.Clean carpet, bathroom.Indoor parking.Quick check in-out.Friendly staff.Assist were needed even in the breakfast room-just ask-.All rooms at least those on 4th, 5th floor (maybe on lower ones) face the mountains with the best view in Pamporovo. There is no chance to get a back room as there is not one!!!Defenitely recon the hotel for the great view and would visit again. Expected more amenities in the room as the hotel is classified 5*.There were no slippers for instance, no hand tissue, limited amenities in the bathroom.More luxury for bed linen.Breakfast need to be enriched to look like a 5*.For instance fruits must be peeled, add sweets like a cake.It is ok but not for its category.
When I arrived at the hotel, after 10 hours driving, the room was cold, with one heater inside the room, but un-plugged. Then I asked another heater and I had to spent the night with 2 heaters plugged. The problem is that the heaters spread a bad smell, it was hard to sleep this way. Also the breakfast was poor for a 5* hotel.
The whole service was first class and location excellent
Very nice, clean hotel. The staff was friendly too. The room however was terribly cold.
I liked the position of the hotel, literally in the foot of the mountain. A 3 minute walk and you're in the ski piste ready to start skiing. The hotel in itself is picturesque and stunning especially when covered with snow. I believe that most of the rooms are for sale or already owned, therefore only the locals and very few foreign tourists use this hotel. So not alot of stuff going on in the evenings.
The very friendly stuff & the location for ski Maybe a little change in breakfast
I liked everything, beside the cold chilly air in the rooms during the evenings. So, please, take a small heater before you leave home. No.
The support from booking dot com as we had so many problems on arrival. They made sure we were transferred to appropriate accommodation and negotiated a refund. On arrival our chalet had not been kept for us - we were given a room in an unaired deserted hotel (completely unstaffed) - the kitchen was not appropriately equipped and the hot water ran out half way through the first shower. The second day we were given the chalet booked. It was very basic and stairs up to the bedrooms were difficult to negotiate. The kitchen was lacking even the most basic equipment (a knife or wooden spoon) and the cooker was a single burner that gave out limited heat. The shower never reached hotter than tepid.
The location is excellent, and the comfort is good. I recomended this hotel for a pleasant vacantion on the mountain.
Very romantic. Wonderful view from the cottage. Excellent conditions for the accomodation, everything above expectations. Great price.
Very nice staff.Good location about 500 m. from the ski piste. Clean, big and comfortable room. Very good spa facilities in the price.I will go again to this hotel
Nature, Friendly staff, good breakfast, spa jaccuzi was out of order for 4 days
IT was very clean and the room was very spacious with all needed appliances. The staff was very nice and responsive. We were not informed prior our arrival that the restaurant and the Swimming pool, SatTV and heating do not work outside of the ski season so we had to go to the near town to get some food and drinks. The hotel is reachable ony by car and if we didn't have a car we would have to walk about 3-4 km to the Pamporovo resourt to find a place to eat. If we new that facilities do not work at this time we would not have chosen this hotel. It made our stay not so pleasant.
The apartment is large for a family with 2 children. The restaurant was open at all times, and the food was really good. It was even possible to order food at the restaurant and have it delivered at the apartment. The heating system was not on during the day, only in the late afternoon and evening. Although we were provided with some extra heaters, it still felt cold during the day. The evenings were ok.
I did like it but the breakfast was not buffet
I visited Dafofska hotel for only one night, but this didn't stop me from from enjoying my experience there. First of all the hotel staff were very friendly and helpfull at all times. After a great night of sleep, I was impressed by the fresh breakfast included with the room. I would definatly recomend this experience to anyone who is looking for nice, relaxing break that is also very affordable.
The owners and staff where excellent and very friendly The quality of the building was poor. Our door didn't close and therefor let both nocie and light in. The shower keeped leaking out on the hall mat despite our best effort to keep the curtain tight. There was big gaps in the floor by the lift makinig it feel unsafe being in it. I would recomend this hotel again but only because of the staff and the cheep price
We stayed at the Royal Lodge the following night for 10 leva more although we were offered better accommodation for 10 less. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which was fantastic. At Dafovska we were kept awake by many children making alot of noise and the walls were very thin.
the location no
Location is fantastic - the resort is very nice The breakfast was very poor: No buffet as promised, no refreshment or milk.
Very comfortable bed! Breakfast was bizarre - they took our order then gave us something completely different
The owner great and very helpful could not be better.
The hotel staff were superb and very helpful. I was delighted to meet Mrs Dafovska and her husband-very humble people. I would recommend the hotel none
The hotel staff was very nice, breakfast was good, good view from the room. Parking is actually not available and no transport to the ski lifts.
The Smilen Hotel is a superb 'boutique style' hotel set in the western Rhodope mountains. It is recently opened and has amazing views of the beautiful countryside. It is an excellent base for walking or touring. All the staff were friendly, helpful and very kind, and the food was reasonably priced and of a high standard. Our rooms were large and had sofas and chairs, a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom was very well equipped and spotless. The hotel also has a lovely steam room and sauna, and a 'relax room' with day beds looking out over the countryside. All the amenities are of a high quality. There were none!
We liked the room decoration. Nice traditional decoration on the whole. Staff was super friendly, helpful and spoke English. The food of their restaurant was tasty, well presented, cheap and served outside on a well maintained terrace ! We recommend this place, attention and kindness are definitely there !
