Pros: Amazing, hands down the best hotel experience I've ever had. World class staff, facilities and rooms.
The Merrion is located on Merrion Street Upper, across from the Government Buildings. St. Stephen's Green is a 3-minute walk in one direction, the National Museum of Ireland a similar distance in the other. Guests can also walk 10 minutes to the shops of Grafton Street.
Pros: Great location, very pleasant staff, spacious room (especially by European standards). Very nice hotel.
Cons: Nitpick: bathroom could have used a little updating.
Pros: concierge recommendations
Cons: Very small room with minimal closet space and walking space and a step down to get to the bathroom
Had larger room for less money on my 5 previous stays here
Pros: The location couldn't be more central. It's luxury accommodation with top class food and service and all the extras you could imagine
Cons: Not enough power points/sockets in the room for a modern tech age. The AC unit had mold on it
Pros: Staff were very attentive in all areas reception, restaurant, etc
Pros: Breakfast was wonderful
Staff (especially Tommy on front desk) were very helpful
Cons: Handicap room, which was not suited for others with low and very small sink. Shower type assured water to go over the floor.

Pros: The breakfast buffet was great with lots of options. The room was large and comfortable.
Cons: The hotel is within walking distance to all of the sights, but is about a 10 minute walk (depending on how fast you walk). We love to walk so the location was fine for us, but it felt far after a night in Temple Bar.
Pros: By the train station
Cons: There was no plugs for hair tools and phone charging
Cons: There was confusion too how many people we had in our party and had to pay an extra 30 euros and it took an extra long time to clear up the confusion after a long day of travel.
Pros: Staff was helpful and excellent. Rooms were very clean. Accommodations were up to date.
Cons: Triple room was somewhat cramped.
Pros: We loved the room, the views, the quiet, the location.
Close to the train station. The bed was so comfy!
Also right near the landmark pub Nancy's Hand.
The room design is outstanding!
The bathroom was huge!
We loved it here.
Cons: There had a been some flooding from outside and it went into the hotel lobby on the day we arrived and it smelled horrible it was most likely sewer water. he smell only affected the area by the front door and the smell was gone by the time we left two days later.
The hotel had professionals cleaners working on it as fast as possible.
We would stay here again. The flooding was not there fault.
Pros: Location,breakfast,bedroom was nice size
Pros: Friendly and accommodating staff. Comfortable room with a very nice view onto the front garden. Breakfast extravaganza. Very convenient to all Dublin attractions. We loved it. Highly recommend.
Pros: Breakfast was great
Cons: The water pressure was really low, everything took several flushes.
The surrounding area is great location wise, but at night it seems a bit rough. The hotel is very safe.
Cons: Lighting was bad for putting on makeup
Pros: Hotel is an excellent choice when visiting Dublin. It has excellent service, very clean, and good restaurant. Although it is not close to where most of the nightlife is there is an excellent local pub 2 blocks away and it is located on the local Luas light rail line which provides quick access to most of Dublin's tourist attractions.
Cons: Slightly removed from what they call City Center
Pros: It's location was a prime factor in our decision. Phoenix Park was very close by, as was Guinness and The Old Jamison Distillery. Right near the train station and tram stop so access the further parts of thecity and country were 5 minutes away. We'd stay there again.
Pros: The beautiful floors, lovely rooms with tea, hair dryer and iron and ironing board...all welcome when travelling. Our flight left early morning and because we would miss breakfast, they packed us a boxed lunch.
We did walk from O'Connell street and it is 20 to 30 minutes....but even with all our luggage it was fun.. A plus is that it is close to Heuston Sation and all excellent bus services. An unexpected treat for us was seeing The Dublin Zoo ( amazing) and The Pheonix Gardens....about 5 minutes away.
Ashling Hotel Dublin is on the stately north bank of the River Liffey, a 5-minute walk from Heuston Station, and a 5-minute tram ride from the city center. Guests can easily walk to many of Dublin's top attractions, from the Guinness Storehouse to the 11th-century Christchurch Cathedral.
Pros: The room was of generous size, quiet and had all convenient provisions. It seemed as though e erything was thought of abd provided for in the room for an undisturbed stay.
Cons: The reception was a bit under-staffed
Pros: Great Location. Extremely Friendly and helpful staff. Clean.
Pros: Staff went above and beyond to be helpful.
Pros: We were staying 2 nights in Dublin and it was perfect. Good location, modern and I liked the big room.
Cons: I didn't like the room's decoration in purples but it is my opinion. And I didn't like also the light in the room, it was poor.

Pros: Great hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful, polite, and engaging. I particularly liked how they helped direct us around Dublin to the places we wanted to visit. Excellent service!

Pros: This resort is situated on a spectacular property with unparalleled views. Our room was nicely appointees, very clean and quiet even though there were a couple of major events.
Upon arrival the person at reception was snobby and did not even offer to have our bags brought up to the room and honestly acted as if he was doing us a favor by checking us in. We had traveled from Killarney and were dressed very casually and it was apparent that we were very under-dressed--not a place to stay if you want to be casual and laid back. The staff, especially, Emma, at the restaurant where we sat for a drink, was courteous and very friendly.
We ordered room service and to be frank the food was awful--cold and just not good.
Beautiful spot but with room for improvement.
Pros: The location right on the beach and the quietness were the two main things we really appreciated the most.
Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links features a golf course and puts you within a 15-minute drive of Malahide Castle. Pros: Wonderful staff, great location and super clean. Bus stop seconds away gets you easily and inexpensively to / from airport.
Pros: This hotel is right in the middle of the Temple Bar district known for its great nightlife. But it's also close to many other 'must sees' in Dublin, like Trinity College and Killmainham Jail. The bus system makes traveling about Dublin very easy and this hotel was easy to find. Very modern and clean, it boasts a very friendly and helpful staff!
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel.
Pros: The service from the staff was outstanding.
Pros: Great value for a three star hotel, staff is very attending and make the stay pleasant!
Cons: A bit noisy as hotel is under renovation, but unless you spend the day at hotel they make sure to minimize disturbance to guests (didn't make noise before 10am during my stay).
Pros: The Staff were fantastic
Cons: The worst beds . The hotel needs to invest in new mattresses. The staff were kind enough to change our room but the beds weren't any better.

Pros: Simple room. Much lower price then other hotels in Dublin.
Cons: A bit far (a lil over a mile) from the city center/things to do, but walkable or quick easy taxi ride.
Grand Canal Hotel Dublin overlooks an attractive city waterway in the affluent suburb of Ballsbridge. There is a train station across the road, but guests can enjoy a pleasant stroll to the city center in less than half an hour, stopping at the National Gallery and National Museum along the way.
Pros: It's in a great location! Staff was very pleasant.
Cons: Not applicable
Pros: We enjoyed our two night stay here so much we actually came back for a third night. This hotel is ideally located for touring around Dublin. We took a bus from the airport straight to the hotel, the tour bus lines leave from ten yards down the sidewalk and taxis line up right across the street. You are right across from the historic post office and the temple bar district is a 6 euro taxi ride away. The rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable. If we go back to Dublin we would definitely stay here again.
Cons: This hotel is situated right in the city so don't expect a view.
Pros: I loved the rooms, very pretty. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly. The attached restaurant was also excellent.
Cons: The price of breakfast was too much for what was offered.
Located in City Centre North, this romantic hotel is within a 5-minute walk of Rotunda Hospital, Garden of Remembrance, and Parnell Square. Ha' Penny Bridge and General Post Office are also within 10 minutes.
Pros: Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Literally the bus stop from Airlink from the Dublin airport is right in front of the hotel.
Pros: Clean near everything!!
Pros: The location was great for a tourist. Close to tour outlets, hop on and hop off bus stops and to a variety of restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, though small.
Pros: The staff throughout our stay were GREAT! Friendly, helpful, and polite, we were treated very well. The location is great for going out, just a short walk to Temple Bar.
Cons: The rooms are tiny. We were a bit cramped both in the main area as well as the bathroom. Smokers hang out just outside of the main lobby doors so you're forced to walk through a cloud of smoke on your way in and out of the hotel. Very unpleasant!
Pros: have stayed here twice before.staff very helpful and polite.good service and good food.excellent location
Pros: I really liked the room where i stayed and the people who worked there.
Cons: There aren't.
Pros: Ideal location, very comfortable beds and friendly staff.

Pros: This hotel was in a perfect location for shopping being just off O'connell street with only a maximum 20minute walk to St. Stephens Green. (10minutes to temple bar area). The rooms were clean and modern with flatscreen tv.
Cons: Breakfast is not included in the rate but available at an additional 12euros, however there are plenty of places to grab breakfast on O'connell street for less than this
Pros: Location and value for money
Pros: The standard of room
Pros: location, price, comfort
Pros: Central, satisfied with my choise
Cons: Only one thing...the wash hand bason is funny...the tap is larger than it !! very uncomfortable

Academy Plaza Hotel has 2 restaurants, including a bar/bistro. Room service is available. There are also fitness facilities on site. The staff can arrange dry cleaning/laundry services and tour assistance. Free wireless Internet access is available in the public areas.
Amenities featured in guestrooms include hair dryers, coffee/tea makers, complimentary wireless Internet access, and complimentary newspapers. Guestrooms have LCD televisions with cable service.
Pros: compared to another Dublin airport I stayed at, it was better.
Cons: compared to most other city's airport hotels, Dublin's are poor quality and OVER priced. Lucky for Ireland that there are lots of Irish American's enamored with travelling to Ireland, but IMHO it's over priced for the so-so accommodations and service that you get in the country.
Pros: Very convienet to the airport (less than 5 minutes) and nice, newer rooms. The built-in USB ports for charging devices was an especially nice touch.
Cons: We booked two spots on arrival for the shuttle back to the airport for our return the next day, but when we came down the following morning at our scheduled time, they had not held the spots and the shuttle was already full. We did manage to pick ourselves in and make it, but not without having to go with the driver back into the hotel to the concierge desk, and even then 1 of had to sit in the isle on the floor of the van sardined around luggage.
It's virtually impossible to use the shower without spilling a fair bit of water into the rest of the bathroom. Seemed more a "form over function" design choice, or perhaps an unintended consequence of the good water pressure (which I was a fan of).
Pros: The hotel had excellent wifi, the restaurant downstairs was great and affordable, the airport shuttle was very convenient, the staff took great care of me by letting me check in a bit early, the room was spacious and the bathroom was wonderful. I'd had a chaotic 36 hours traveling internationally and needed a night to unwinde before my next flight. This did the trick.
Cons: Bit noisy in the day if you're trying to sleep, no a/c so it got pretty stuffy, bed was very firm, over priced but you pay for convenience I suppose.
Pros: Great location near the airport, with shuttle available 24 hours.
Pros: Very isolated unless you come with a car. Unable to easily get simple things like snacks. The hotel is the only close source of food, consequently the prices are high.
The hotel was clean and the staff were fairly helpful.
Pros: Booked this hotel at the last minute and got a great deal. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly. The hotel is next to the airport and offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. I would highly recommend for business or personal travel for someone looking to stay near the airport.
Pros: This hotel is very close to the airport with a free shuttle to take you to and from. Everyone is kind which is also a plus.
Cons: We came across a dry urine stain on our bed in I ur first room. Seemed to be on an additional disposable comfort sheet which could have easily been tossed whenever someone came across the issue. But the hotel quickly moved us to a new room after a quick phone call.
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. I saw smiles on all of their faces. This is very important to me.
It was very clean.
Pros: Close @ the Airport!

Pros: Hotel is very nice with the the amentities of a golf course hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was very nice and well maintained. We had a room with two beds that were more than adequate for our needs. I think this is a good value hotel and it is convenient to the airport without being too close.
Cons: The only thing I did not like about the hotel was the entrance to the hotel. There is no good way to turn your car around to head back to the parking lot. After you get back in your car you are pointing to the back of the hotel and it is very poorly designed as there is no good way to head towards to parking lot.

Hotel was clean, linens crisp and comfortable. Serrvice from housekeeping was great. Food service average - very slow to offer coffee/tea service.
Pros: public areas were attractive and comfortable
Cons: rooms were not airconditioned, poor ventilation, entire wing in need of refurbishing, buffet breakfast at'Coast' restaurant was very poor. WI FI free for 30 mins only - after that there is a charge. They need to update this policy.

Cots (infant beds) are available on request. Windows open.
Cons: Finding parking was difficult.
Shower was either cold or scalding hot.
Pros: The free 24/7 shuttle to and from the airport was very convinent
Cons: The rooms were old and outdated, shower wasn't good, and bar staff were slow and ignorant
Pros: Food is excellent!
Pros: Got early check-in. The shuttle goes quite frequently. And they have hypoallergenic pillows!
Cons: Dry air in the room.
Pros: We picked the hotel close to the airport with a shuttle service. The shuttle service is extremely convenient. We were only staying for one night before flying out.
Cons: The room smelled a bit. Everything appeared very clean however there was a lingering smell.
Pros: Shuttle service was excellent.
Cons: No breakfast included. No other restaurants in the area to dine at.
Cons: Paying for parking without previously knowing there was a charge.
Bathroom was not as clean as I feel it shold have been.
Pros: 24 hour shuttle is great. The hotel bar and restaurant are fine, and the crowd is something out of Star Wars - incredibly mixed bag makes great people watching.
Pros: Great atmosphere and very modern
Cons: Instant coffee in the room
Cons: We paid extra for the deluxe breakfast buffet, which turned out to be a depressing school cafeteria, complete with plastic trays still damp from the dishwasher. Not what we expected from the reviews.
Cons: Shuttle driver could have been more specific with terminal information at Dublin airport. We walked much more than necessary and two of our party had difficulty with that.
Pros: Close to the airport. Hotel shuttle links you to airport shuttle to get downtown and back. Room size was good.
Cons: Pizza was undercooked (but the cheese on the pizza was fantastic).
Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport places guests a 7-minute drive or shuttle ride from the terminals. It's a 20 minute cab journey to visit the delights of Dublin's city center or famous coastal villages of Howth and Malahide.
Pros: Cookie upon arrival. Staff tried to be helpful when we had to move rooms due to building noise from the fire escape which was next to our room. The gym was clean and well equipped.
Cons: The hotel is in a process of refurbishment so only the 4th floor was in use during our stay. The hammering and drilling started at 8am on both days we stayed and despite moving rooms it was like being on a building site.
The beds at the hotel were the hardest I have ever slept on, I have been very fortunate to have travelled all over the world with my job so have slept in many hotels but this bed ranked as one of the worst!
We were in room 400 (on the 4th floor) which was the furthest room from the elevator. Annoyingly it was too far for the wifi to stretch so we were forced to sit in the lobby to get online. Overall our stay was very disappointing and we won't return to this hotel in future.
The Clayton Hotel Burlington Road is a 15-minute walk to city center and close to Aviva Stadium, RDS, and CCD. Guests can catch the bus across the street and be in central Dublin in 20 minutes.
Pros: I found the staff at this hotel extremely friendly and helpful. They were courteous and offered help and advice. I really appreciate good service and we got it at the Pearse hotel. The hotel location is a 15 min walk from O'Connell street which is great.
Cons: The pillows in the room were like concrete slabs. The room smelt of stale smoke. The cost of wifi was extortionate.
Maldron Hotel Pearse Street offers a great location, putting you within a 15-minute walk of The Grand Canal Theatre and The Convention Centre Dublin. For a bite to eat, guests can check out The Pearse Brasserie, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There's a bar/lounge, and rooms offer 24-hour room service and LCD TVs.
