Pros: Le Manoir Chamberland far exceeded my expectations. The warmth of the hosts' welcome, the charm of the location, the comfort of the rooms (including the common areas like lounge, snug bar, and patio deck as well as my own), the salt-water swimming pool, and most especially the amazing breakfasts all made my stay at this 'auberge' a wonderful experience. I did not want to leave.

Pros: It was lovely accommodation with a very family friendly welcome from our hosts. The Breakfast was exceptional as our hosts prepared a personally cooked 'chef like' breakfast for us and gave us many great tips on what to see and do. Make sure you don't miss out on seeing Parc Omega which is close by and a highlight of our whole trip overseas and came through their recommendation . This is a great place to stay where they make your family feel like part of their family!

Cons: Nothing of significance
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Charming hosts. Tasteful decor. Fluffy towels. A well provided kitchenette for those who want to prepare own meals. Everything tidied and thoroughly cleaned in the morning. Path to river from garden.
Cons: I would have liked a sink in the bathroom rather than the kitchen area. Still would come again.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast in room was good.
Cons: More room for luggage, towel racks
7.1 Good
Pros: Location was great, staff were very nice. The beds were very comfortable.
Cons: I was expecting a regular breakfast as most B&Bs provide but we did get a nice tray with pastry and fruit. The bathroom was very dated and needs some work. Heater would only work for a while, then it would blow cool air.

Pros: Owner super friendly and helpful
Cons: No

Pros: Easy to find. Really cleans and perfect for what we needed.
Cons: We arrived after reception hours and left before. We never met any staff. The code provided for after hours entry wasn’t correct so while it wasn’t the end of the world, it was inconvenient I’m sure for the staff and us to have to make a phone call late at night.

Fairmont Le Château Montebello - Montebello - Building
6
8.5 Excellent (6,481 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Escape from the ordinary and experience a delightful retreat at Fairmont Le Château Montebello, the world's largest log cabin. Nestled in the heart of the scenic Montebello village, surrounded by nature, the resort is famed for its rustic yet luxurious accommodations, excellent service and refined gastronomy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We love the location surrounded by trees and a lovely waterfront, the grounds are nice for walking. We love cozy log cabin central common area the cozy spots, the fire place, planing board games etc. Also love the pool and the painted ceiling.
Cons: The bedding was cozy but the beds and pillows were supper hard. Also wish we could bring our own drinks from our rooms to the common area seating zones - instead of having to by over priced drinks from the Foyer bar.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The lobby had a welcoming feel and was buzzing Thanksgiving weekend. The buffet had lots of choice and was excellent. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The buffet breakfast was great.
Cons: I was surprised that a place this size did not have in-house laundry facilities.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Pros: The historical aspect is beautiful. Old buildings, old photos, the architecture, masonry and carpentry are stunning. Because of the location in a provincial park it is extremely quiet, we slept undisturbed.
Cons: Cons: Money, money, money. This place is a tourist trap. We travel ALOT and this hotel is not what you would expect from The Fairmonts lines like Banff, Lake Louise or Ottawa. For the price they charge they are lacking in the smaller touches that one expects from the Fairmont chain. Breakfast (2 eggs, toast, meat and potatoes is $30) Couples massages was $310 for 1 hr. Cocktails start at $18. Lunch (a burger, club sandwich and a drink each was $80) We spent over $1000 in 2 days because you ultimately have no choice. We will never be returning.
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: Beautiful historic building with a cozy lobby sat around a multi sided fireplace
Cons: What was undoubtedly once a jewel amongst grand Canadian hotel has been largely left to detiorate. Little has been done to maintain the premises and ugly, tacky features have been added with little thought given to the design aesthetic of the original hotel. Staff levels have obviously been cut way back and the quality of service is sub par for a hotel at this price point.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Every year in the fall we go celebrate our anniversary at Montebello. In the price of the room, we can play tennis and enjoy the swimming pool, as well as the hot tubs. This place stands out by it relaxed casual atmosphere and rusty infrastructures. Staff is very pleasant and the rooms are very cleaned. We love going back every year.
Cons: Special rates periodically would be attractive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rustic chic style. Very comfortable bed. Food was great. Staff are so hospitable.
4.6 Okay
Cons: Unfortunately we signed up for the Thanksgiving Buffet which was poorly organized ...walked down the stairs to the dining room and was quite rudely told to go back up and then the door was closed on all of us. people with reservations lined up to get in and then not easy access to the buffet tables. Although we all went in together food seemed to always have run out. Hardly any turkey and no mashed potatoes ~ no pumpkin pie and flies everywhere. You could hear every noise from above and in the hallway from your room and weddings outside until 2 am...very noisy
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was a little pricey, but very good. The variety was excellent. I liked being able to choose duck or chicken eggs at the omelette station.
Cons: The breakfast and supper were a little more expensive than on our documentation when we booked.
6.5 Good
Pros: 1) Great staff, very helpful and friendly 2) Extremely comfortable bedding 3) Interesting and unique round-log structure
Cons: 1) The cost exceeds value by approx. 25% 2) There is a 'nickel 'n dime' attitude to everything. They are there to take your money. 3) Despite being promoted as 5*, the facilities are 'tired' (cracked washbasin, holes in carpets, garbage in public area etc)
