Room had a view of the Eiffel tower which I was not expecting. Clean rooms and comfortable bed. Breakfast at the hotel was good. Had dinner one night at the hotel, it was terrible. Eat dinner somewhere else. The AC didn't really work but the weather was mild so it wasn't an issue.
the staff were very friendly and helpful no swimming pool
Very close to Paris. Not noisy at all. Nothing to see around the hotel.
hotel location bad air conditioning system. no good staff provided at the toilet.
the location no
The hotel was very convenient and the staff were very helpful getting taxis, booking restuarnats for us. very good overall
access to parking is not easy. we had to walk long way. without navigation system, it is not easy to reach hotel entrance by car.
Good location, good view of Paris from rooms, overall cleanliness
Very friendly and attentive staff who were happy to speak English. The hotel is located in a great area with river and city views and close access to the Metro and Disneyland trains The hotel is very busy with package tours and the facilities struggle to cater for the large numbers especially the breakfast catering and internet access
Good price, good location (near métro), excellent views of seine & paris, very large room for price, comfortable Some of the staff could have been more polite
The friendlyness of the staff when we checked in and one of the ladies that helped us with our food choice off the menu when we had dinner at the hotel cafe.
Clean. Previous guest smoked inside the room, they refused to increase the air conditioner speed (it was blocked on the lowest speed) to clear the smoke, it took 2-3 days to get the air fresh in the room again. Location is very poor, on the peripheral boulevards, needs walking more than 1km until the nearest marginal metro station every time one would like to go in the city. WiFi not available in the room for free, needs to be payed, 4 Euro per hour extra. Parking costs 2 Euro per hour. Overall a poor experience, not worthy of the money charged.
Location was right off the freeway, so I didn't have to deal with crazy Paris traffic to drive to my hotel. Location was not great for walking to the attractions. Needed to rely on taxis. Bed was very firm.
All hotel staff are very friendly, I was pleased we had a room with a view of the City and that the hotel was easily reached by car. The secure underground parking was essential. On our return from a trip to the city to find reception, in my absence, had already billed my credit card for parking after I had arranged 3 hours before to settle the bill on departure. This was, I feel a lack of communication on their part (they thought we had already left)
Everything was as described in the brochure. Location is not great if you want to visit/walk around Paris. The closest metro station is kinda far away.
Despite the fact that it was a three star hotel, i can assure you that it was better than five star hotels in my country, Cyprus.. If somebody is not looking for spa, sauna but instead exploring the area, then this hotel is perfect! It worthed every cent!
Good quality hotel with helpful personel, who can all speak English. They were very friendly towards our two-year old son. They have their own parking garage for only 16 euro per day (ask the reception). Unfortunately the video-on-demand was not working and the 'evening/night' personel couldn't fix it. It was however easily solved during the day. In addition, it's a ten minutes walk to the nearest Metro station to go to the city-centre. Busstops are closer by.
The rooms are always dependable at Novotel as they are the same all over the world! The attitude of the staff wasn't particularly great, especially the person that took room service orders - rude!
Comfortable bed, nice breakfast several members of staff very rude (ex. I was talking to one of the receptionist while one of her co-workers started to talk to the receptionist, the receptionist then stopped listening to me, and started to answer the co-workers question 1 out several episodes) Poor cleaning of rooms (floorpanels were covered in dust) coffeestains on downside of table...etc
It is well located if you are driving and offers practical accommodations It is ten minutes walk from the subway
Hotel staff was very kind.
Very high quality apartment - felt just like being at home
Very good when travelling with baby given the kitchen facility. The staff was excellent - very nice and helpful. Location is very very good - few minutes from Boulevard St. Germain and Boulevard Saint Michel. No dislikes.
nice and quiet place. Hangers in the bathroom for the towels does not exist.
nice and courteous staff, location of the hotel was perfect , especially for a family with little child ( jardin de luxemburg with playground is 3 minutes away)
The location is very good regarding the resteraunts, the bars and being a hip location. The staff is polite and helpful The hotel is not a 4 star hotel as listed, but Appartments with 20 euro per day housekeeping service. Very small rooms like all of Paris. The reception is closed by 6 pm
quiet, clean, good location Quite small for an apartment room, double bed comfortable but small and not much room to move in the bedroom. Also very small shower. Living area and kitchen were practical
Modern design, comfortable bed, good shower I liked everything
Location,in-house facilities Too highly priced, poor service,no regular change of towels,no help with the luggage
Location The concept of hte hotel is definitely nice. The execution is tired, however. Curtains ripped, very dark rooms (not enough lighting and 3 out of 6 lightbulbs in livingroom were not functioning upon arrival), old mattresses, an extremely uneven sofabed, not enough cutlery/glasses, the only drawer cabinet had 2 out of 4 drawers not functioning (storage space is already very limited for an appt for 4) and the 2 nightstands had click drawers that did not click shut anymore. No major thing, but unacceptable for a comparatively (London, Berlin) top notch price.
Good location, close to the metro station, the Bercy Village shopping center and restaurants.
I chose the hotel mainly for its location and because of the kitchenette in the room. The location in Bercy is nice indeed with a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. It was very quiet at night compared to other areas in Paris. The kitchenette in the room was very well equipped and very clean. In general, the room was clean at my arrival (with sime exceptions - see below). The room was also rather spacious compared with other Paris hotels. The "lit-armoire" (fold down bed) was comfortable. I especially liked that during the week there were free french newspapers offered in the lobby (Le Monde, Libération, L'Equipe...). The furniture (with the exception of the kitchenette) was already a bit run down. Especially in the bathroom you could see that the hotel is not new. The blanket in the bed was not clean, there were some stains on it (the sheets, the cushion and the matress were very clean, though). I also think that some members of the reception staff could have been more friendly and welcoming. Note that if you stay for more tha 4 nights, the room is not cleaned and you have to get rid of your waste. I knew that before so it wasn't an issue for me, but for other people this might be a flaw.
the studio appartment was cool and well equipped the service staff (room cleaner...) was quite unkind!
Noisy neighborhood at night
Warm helpful staff, good location. Swisscom internet service offered is very poor, continually dropping out of wireless connection and all my emails to regular business clients received my messags as spam mail
Modern Style Hotel Some people need to smile more A little noise from street cleaners
Great staff. very helpful and pleased to assist guests. In room kitchen facilities, made the stay easier. Bed sheets could have been more comfortable. For guests stayng 7 seven, towels should be changed once free of charge.
Very good surronding enviroment, very helpful staff, Near to metro They clean the rooms only once a week!!!
location was good, staff friendly old firniture and old linen with dark sports
Location and could cook own meals breakfast ended early for a weekend
the friendliness of the staff. room was very small
The hotel was nice. The room was small but that is typical of most of the rooms I have stayed at in Paris. The location is good for an easy walk to the eiffel tower. The hotel is on a busy street so road noise can be loud if you open the windows to get fresh air. I did not care for the cleaning supplies they use because they have a strong perfume scent. This seemed to be everywhere from the elevator to the rooms. Not a big problem but if you are sensitive to this it may bother you.
Location, close to Metro and Eiffle tower Rooms were a bit small.
Staff was awesome and super helpful. Great location by rue cler and subway Rooms were small but cute
The warm reception we got from the staff. The charm of the room. The hotel was located on a quiet street and very close to a metro. While there were other restaurants close by I would highly recommend their breakfast for value, selection, cleanliness, and charm. The Hotel de la Motte Picquet was our favorite of all the hotels we stayed at on our first trip to Europe Everything was perfect.
Our room was very prettily decorated, the bathroom was super and the staff were friendly and very helpful.
The staff was excellent -- and Mo and the front desk was AMAZING!!! The rooms were clean, with nice touches throughout. We highly recommend this hotel and staff!
The reception staff - Mo and Tina are wonderful. This is the reason plus the location that would bring us back to Hotel Motte Piquet. We find the price a bit high.
The hotel has recently renovated and prices have risen but this still remains the most welcoming and enjoyable hotel I have ever found in Paris.
the best hotel staffs
The location of the hotel, with the Eiffel Tower just around the corner and a metro stop nearby, was excellent. The rooms were very romantic, and individually decorated. Staff was very helpful. We had a very good time there.
Although we did not speak French very well and had to talk English, the hotel staff, Mo and Tina, were exceptional friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms are small, but the bathroom was large enough and the location superb near Rue de Cler and Metro. Tour Eiffel is just a short walk away. Breakfast buffet is reasonable, a good choice of cheese and variety of bread. It's not cheap, but worth the price (€12,--). We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay in this charming little hotel (only 13 rooms) again! Thanks again to Mo - he is just a perfect concierge! There is no power outlet in the room. You must pull the lamp plug to charge your devices. The room was a bit overheated, we tried to switch the heating off, and in the end, we opened the window. No fuss about it. Everything else was perfect.
the breakfast is excellent and the location perfect, the bed was too old a real shame for a 4 star place. the whole hotel needs to be refreshed
great location, and big comfortable rooms by paris standards. good value too. friendly and helpfull staff. internet access should be free (currently charge €4 for 30 mins) and they are having a laugh with the breakfast pricing, €28.50 per person for a buffet??!! i mean seriously does anyone actually pay this much for breakfast? internet access should be free (currently charge €4 for 30 mins) and they are having a laugh with the breakfast pricing, €28.50 per person for a buffet??!! i mean seriously does anyone actually pay this much for breakfast?
location reception staff did not charge me the correct fee, they overcharged me, and do not answer my e. mails.I have paid for breakfast twice as it was included in the deal with Booking.com, they took some off but not all; attention to detail ; 41 Euro worth still on ! It was a rush to pay to get to the airport in time for a flight, on getting home my e.mails are not answered.
Convenient location with parking nearby (which isn't mentioned on their booking.com site) but also convenient to the Metro to access Paris sights. While clean, comfortable and larger than most Paris hotel rooms, the services were limited - don't expect a nice bar/lounge.
Its location, that is all. To expensive for that type of rooms Mostly everything
Breakfast was poor value for money
Reasonably good location, not in the center though. 1. breakfast cost EUR 28 pp seems too high; 2. Internet cost EUR 24 pd is unacceptable
We were upgraded to a beautiful room when we checked in. The staff were very pleasant and helped with reservations for meals.
Comfortable accomodations; well decorated, cozy ambiance; excellent location. High cost of parking.
Lovely hotel. Very well equipped. everything worked. lovely restaurant in just across the road. large smart tv hung on the wall. Very quiet. Thoroughly recommended. Tea coffee etc available. Very fast inclusive and reliable WiFi. Breakfast included. One thing missing was a desk with the chair where I could do some work in the evening.
Convenient location between the two stations
the room was very clean, soundproof and the bathrom was big and clean. The hotel seams to have been recently renovated. The staf was nice, they speak english.the acess to centre of paris and cdg airport is very convinient ( gare du nord is very close)..... there was a small bailler and ingridients to make cofe and tea in your room for free the rooms are small, but its like that in most hotels in paris. in the region gare du nord there are a lot of sex shops and many immigrands that drink in the streets.... it is not good for women and families.
This is a horrible hotel that is able to totally spoil your experience of the romantic city of Paris. everything is bed - rooms uncomfortable, really tiny, smelly and not soundproof. The personnel is unfriendly and rude, they may shout at you just because you took the hotel key with you and didnt leave it with them (stupid rule). They charge you upon check-in etc etc etc. The location is very poor too, don't be tempted by the small distance to Gare du Nord, - you will really be surrounded by homeless people, alchoholics and drug dealers at night. It makes mych more sense to take a taxi from the station for just 10 euro, - while for the price of the room you can find a decent hotel in the downtown.
Closeness to Gare du Nord, restaurants and local to an open top bus stop. Small rooms but adequate for our stay. There is nothing that we did not like.
location, tidy and clean our room size is very small
location very small room and the toilet
Friendly staff and comfortable room. Our room was quiet and clean. We thought the breakfast was a bit too expensive at 13 euros each.
quick availability when booking, reasonable price, necessary facilities available, secure small rooms, small elevator, no kettle in the room
Central place in the city, clean and nice appartment from start off, kind and professional staff New towels, toiletpaper came late and garbage take out was late in our stay
centrally located, modern furnishings, large bathroom, large French doors opening to a small balcony. Filthy rug, hard bed
Room is clean & staff are helpful The lobby has like 15 steps to the lift & no one to help with luggage, Breakfast is not worth the 13 euro charged.
good breakfast, nice room and calm location My wife and me arrived to the hotel from our wedding party, very late in the night (almost midnight) and instead of paying at the check-out, the man at the reception demand us to pay for the room intermediately at the check-in (my wife was still dressed with her married dress)...
some of the officers are really help especially when you need the information or booking tour/ car The bed and the pillow aren't good, and there is no internet, for this era, I think computer/ internet is very important.
It is very conveniently located, just a 15 minutes walk to the Arc de Triomphe and less than 5 to the underground station. I travelled with husband and two children and we had a small apartment with all comforts including a well equipped small kitchen - very handy. The road is a bit noisy at times but considering it's the centre of Paris it's quite good. It would be a nice touch to have a couple of tea bags or something to be able to have a drink on arrival.
the staff was very nice and helpful there was no parking for the hotel
location the mattress and carpet in the room
The position of this apartment is really fantastic, close to the Champs Elysées and to the Miromesnil metro stop. Moreover, the hotel has been probably restructured recently, and everything looks new. Staff people are not very user-friendly, breakfast-room is very small, even if only few make breakfast there, wi-fi connection was not working in the apartments.
Your friendly staff No
Good position, easy access, not noisy, good facilities and all good!
Good location, close to Metro, easy to Gare de Nord au L'est. very convenient for city tour. There are several nice Cafe around. so far so good, the price is a little bit high.
the best was the location of the hotel, very close to the champs elysee the room we originally booked looked way smaller than wahat was shown on their web site, that we had to pay more to get a bigger room for the first one was not fitting for 2 people at all
We loved this hotel!!! The staff was so nice, very unexpected! The room was amazing. Our room looked out to the Arch de Triuph and the Effiel Tower. I highly req. the superior suite!! Hving breakfast looking out to the Effiel Tower or seeing it sparkle at night....takes your breath away! n/a
The location was great and the suite was roomy. The young woman at the front desk was wonderfully helpful and courteous! Would stay here again!
The staff were excellent. Very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and the location in Paris was fantastic.
The location is just perfect, next to Etoile ROR and subway station and few minutes walk to the CdL bulevard with all the shops and restaurants.Still quiet and clean place. Very good cost/quality ratio. Smell of cigaretes
Location The room was not clean!
close to tour buses, very scenic, location was great , clean nice quaint, coffee and croissants were fantastic! Bed was just okay. There was no top sheet.
Location just steps from restaurants, Notre Dame, Saint Michele, etc. Staff friendly, hotel has elevator & air conditioning.
Comfort of the hotel (very clean, cozy and tasteful), the friendliness and helpfulness of the people working there, the location in the Latin Quarter and the view out our window.
Front staff was friendly and kind. The room we stayed was small.
Convenience of the Latin Quarter, almost all of the staff very helpful and friendly, big bathroom, room was clean, reception area nicely decorated. The A/C was working poorly the entire time during our stay and they could not seem to get it to work on a consistent basis; the woman at the front desk on our arrival did not look happy to see us becuase of the early hour, and I found that unacceptable in customer service
The location, the friendly staff, and the views. Nothing was wrong.
Loved the view from our room and the wonderful staff, especially the fellow who was so good to us the morning we were leaving.
Close to Notre Dame, easy walking distance to everything. Could see Eiffel Tower from our room window. Staff were incredible, hotel clean and well decorated. Loved it! This hotel was great.
Location Quality for the price
The reception person that tried very hard to get us an airport shuttle to no avail. The room was too small for any North American.
Great location, room was nice and had tea and coffee making facilities which was great. Discounted rate was good value for money but wouldn't have paid the rack rate
We liked that the hotel was so central and everything was easy to find and get to even if we were walking. Staff were great and very helpful.
Directly oposite Dupleix Metro station, very covenient. Easy walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and many nearby restaurants.
The staff was very helpful; very convenient location; fitness available; excellent value Shower a bit difficult because of short screen - no weights in fitness room - no real recommendations for local restaurants
good atmosphere, clean, quiet
Access to lifts was restricted by cleaners - sometimes they would lock out the use of the lifts to guests - presumably because use the stairs was restricted
Perfect location and easy connections
Friendly staff, clean room. There was a lot of noise from the street. The window leaked, there was a drift of cold air from the window, we had to tighten it with a pillow.
Quiet room. Small room, no spa.
The staff at the reception desk was very helpful and friendly. The buffet was enjoyable.
The location was fantastic. The TV had only BBC news and no other english channels.
Location, size of apartment, staff was friendly and helpful
Great value for your money and convenietly located to all the major attractions.
The family facilities were very nice to find in Paris. It was a little run-down. It would be nice to have very specific directions to reach the hotel as we wandered the neighborhood after leaving the Metro. The hotel was further removed from the sights than I had anticipated, more information about transportation around Paris would be nice.
We booked a 3-bedroom apartment, much more relaxing than hotel rooms. It had two bathrooms and kitchen (and two balconies). The staff were very friendly and cooperative. The hotel is within walking distance of the city centre and yet the street is quiet, both during th eday and at night. The only negative aspect was the noise from the ventilation system in the kitchen.
there was a kitchen in our room which made our stay easier and less expensive. the bathroom was rather tight and I banged into things many times
Spacious one bed apartment, clean, friendly staff, good location and great restaurants nearby in Mouffetard St
The location is great and staff is quite helpful. Good value for family vacation. Should always check the working condition of the lights and wall sockets. Some lights not working
the space for a larger group only one shower facility for 5 people
The kitchen are, however did not like having to count every dish, glass, untensil and each piece of silverware. The hotel required this, something I've never had to do at any hotel before. Drab appearance of the room, noisy neighborhood(kids playing outside in front of hotel)construction going on at corner.
Dodji the night receptionist was excellent, really helpful and spoke very good English The reason I booked here was for the parking but when I arrived they told me all the places were taken. However there was a public parking near by.
Helpful staff. Good service. Lovely room Very expensive breakfasts. 29E for Continental and 35E for American!!
breakfast choice and quality not up to 4* standard. no shower curtain meant bathroom floor was constantly soaked.
Lack of identity of the hotel
Literally a minute from Champs Elysees. Complimentary breakfast; expected a little more than just breads, croissants, cup of fruit and juice.
Reseption personnel, consierge. Breakfast service appalling, tables not cleaned. Slow service.
Great service and rooms. Well-designed.
We had a wonderful, six-day, Parisian experience at the Hotel de Sers, located in the elegant Champs Elysees district and very close to the metro and upscale restaurants. The staff was consistently helpful and accommodating in their efforts to obtain tickets, give restaurant recommendations, make reservations, call taxis, provide maps and directions, serve in the restaurant, etc. Upon arrival, we were allowed to check in early. This was much appreciated after many hours of overnight travel. Accolades for Fernanda at the reception desk as well as the concierge (I can not remember his name!) for providing outstanding service in a cordial, welcoming atmosphere. Our room was not spacious, however, comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean. Would recommend taking advantage of a room rate that includes at least a continental breakfast, as the breakfasts are very costly.
The location was very good. It was definitely not a luxury hotel. Room was directly over the hotel courtyard that had been converted to a banquet facility and was extremely noisy. Fitness center had only one treadmill and one piece of equipment. Beds and pillows were not very comfortable.
Wonderful experience and very polite staff. Definite recommendation if you want to spend a deluxe weekend in Paris. Minibar was not very complete
The hotel staff was very fair in giving a lot of good informations about Paris and to book restaurants and to confirm our flights, etc. ; there are just a friendly atmosfere. it wasn't possible to do a good regulation of the room air condition.
Location was very convenient. Staff was very friendly. Room size was very good with ample storing space. Room relatively quiet (it was facing to the back). The bathroom was not quite well aired, therefore it had a bit of a humid smell. Nothing too bad though. Bathroom door was very noisy when closing.
Convenient and price was right Tried their breakfast and it left something to be desired.
Perfect location !! Staff was friendly and helpfull. Carpet was dirty and very old. If you are tall, consider other hotel since bed will be way too short for you :)
Friendly Staff, Location close to metro Space of room
Perfect location only 5 min walk to metro stations. My room was so clean specially bathroom. Only problem was our bed. They gave two single beds for us instead of a double bed.
Location and friendly staff
Friendly and unpretentious
Value for money and location Rooms are very small with no dresser / drawers to store clothings. One of the rooms facing the street was noisy and very hot.
Excellent location, right next to Saint Lazarre and Liege. Walking distance from Champs Elysees and very close to a lot of bars and restaurants around Place de Clichy. no
