1.0 Poor
Pros: Cheap, but at a price
Cons: One step up from sleeping rough on the streets. No sink and no soap in toilet Toilets grubby No towels provided Whole hotel smells of stall cannabis and cigarette smoke More like a homeless hostel than a hotel Whole place needs renovated and painted
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy check in. No fuss.
Cons: It was all good. Cheap, cheerful and handy.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast only OK Location good
Cons: Parking size of space, My car is a standard size NOT an SUV , the car next to me was a small car, difficult for the lady next to me to get out, and the flora encroached into the space at the end.
7.0 Good
Pros: Checkin was fast and easy. Good parking, location beside a large supermarket for easy shopping
Cons: The bed was too short for my husband, outlets were very well hidden! Hate the blankets.
2.9 Mediocre
Cons: Cleanliness of rooms. Toilets over flowing. Smell of smoke horrendous
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A clean bed for a couple of hours rest
Cons: Don’t expect en-suite facilities, just a hand basin and a bed but for 25 euro it suited me this time.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Very small room. Only one wall socket. Beds were really uncomfortable.
Cons: Beds. Noise.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The staff was ok
Cons: Dirty hotel, smells from the moment you walk in.. Even a budget hotel should be clean and hygienic.

6.0 Good
Pros: Easy and convenient
Cons: Radiator fixed to wall Fix broken window Fix shower curtains
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The receptionist on arrival was pleasant.
Cons: There were families living there and children noisy until 23.00hrs We needed to change our plans due to Coronavirus And could not transfer our booking from 19th March to 16th March. We therefore paid 60euros for one night in a extremely shabby noisy room. We will not stay again. We spoke to your company and they said to ring the facility and he kept me waiting on the phone for a long time talking to someone else and then told me he could not change the date.
5.0 Okay
Pros: free parking and the fact its next to a big supermarket
Cons: almost everything else. it was very old and run down. the rooms are really small and breakfast is pointless. your much better just going to the bakery in the supermartks a cross the road.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The only good thing about this 'hotel' is that it is located very close to a large supermarket
Cons: Horrible place, the doors face outside (like a 1960s cheap American hotel in Florida) and when I was there it was windy, the wind was coming through around door and the room was freezing. Very unfriendly staff, you annoy them by showing up. Good for one night sleep only, if you do so, leave by 7am so that you can forget the experience sooner

5.4 Okay
Pros: Good lcation close to the lake and not far from city by car and quiet. Close to industrial zone.
Cons: Hotel standard is low. The system are fine. We use machibe to check in but we get the room right at stairs where we didnt want. And heavily smoking room when we ask for non smoking. The wall was full of white dry liquid everywhere, massively dirty.
1.0 Poor
Pros: There’s nothing to like
Cons: Smelly, dirty and dark
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location near to main road as we were just passing through. Comfy beds. Great price. All necessary facilities in the room.
4.0 Okay
Cons: Check in machine was out of order....Although all my details had been provided earlier online, check in by the hotel employee took 40 minutes - very inconvenient especially at night when you travel with a child...No towels in the room and bathroom.

1.0 Poor
Cons: The worst accomondation I ve ever been:(
6.0 Good
Pros: Near enough to ferry port
Cons: Now there are not even towels included in the room price anymore, you are meant to buy one if you didn't bring your own (which most people won't do as you expect that to be included in a hotel room!) A small piece of soap would also be nice as there is a washing basin in the rooms. Especially as there is no other way to wash your hands after using the toilets.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Toilets and shower disgusting
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Served the purpose of low budget stay. All we needed was a place to sleep and shower and this place provided. No complaints about the size or comfort of the room. It is what you see in the pics. Don't come thinking luxury.
Cons: Toilets were smelly at times but not always.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, parking, bed
Cons: Staff come to my room at 10 when I sleeping, but I had time till 12 o'clock.
6.7 Good
Pros: if you are male and only need somewhere to stay for the night its nice and warm and the beds are comfortable and the reception staff was very helpful in getting my tomtom satnav to give the correct address for the dfds ferry port. I thought that the basic breakfast was good value, and quite healthy and would have had one if I had more time before catching my ferry
Cons: The toilets and shower are not in your room and therefore you sometimes have to queue before being able to use. Not really suitable for women, can be left smelly and messy as men do not sit down etc.
6.0 Good
Pros: cheap and clean
5.0 Okay
Pros: ok for the money ...
Cons: -no bathroom- - i ask : way is not a towel in the room ? and the receptionist said : 3 euro !

Pros: The location was good in that it was easy to travel to the port. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Cons: One power socket was not working. Paint was flaking off the wall in the shower. The curvature of the sides at the bottom of the bath, when taking a shower was dangerous in that it was easy to lose one's footing. The heating in the bath/shower room was not working.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The room was oke and the bathroom but the shower was in the bathtub that's nothing for me

Fasthôtel Dunkerque - Grande-Synthe - Bedroom

7.8 Good (1,629 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Grande-Synthe, Fasthôtel Dunkerque is in the business district, within a 10-minute drive of Marcel-Tribut Stadium and Dunkerque Golf. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and an elevator.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was as expected, so no complaints. The personnel were friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was hot and good pressure. Nice soft, clean towels and bed linen. Good sized TV in the room. Efficient communication from the hotel regarding booking and informed me in advance of access procedure if arriving after hours. Restaurant was fairly priced, good selection and freshly cooked. People who complain about establishments generally don't do their research prior to their stay. Read all the reviews first and take note of the key facts, then you can't be surprised or dissatisfied with the facilities/amenities.
Cons: The major issue for us was that our dog was not permitted in the restaurant. Since the hotel welcomes dogs in general (and at a cheap rate of only 5€ per night) and there is their own resident doggy; it was rather strange to be told that dogs are prohibited from the dining area. Furthermore, we weren't told of this during check in. The receptionist happily welcomed our dog and asked us if we wanted to book dinner or breakfast in the restaurant. We actually had a reservation in another restaurant for dinner (where I'd confirmed dogs were allowed) but given the bad weather, we chose to stay in the hotel and use the restaurant there. So I cancelled the other reservation and we headed for dinner. We were met by the same receptionist who'd checked us in and she told us there, at the restaurant opening, that dogs were not allowed in. So we had to take our poor bewildered dog and leave him alone in the room. If we hadn't have been so tired after travelling and having had a couple of drinks, we would definitely have left for another restaurant. We couldn't enjoy our dinner as we wanted to get away back to the room. This is a major communication oversight, but I'm forgiving as I realise it could be a cultural thing. Lesson learnt though.

Pros: Nothing very disappointed
Cons: The rooms for that money are way to small and we booked with breakfast and had to pay for it again . The rooms are no bigger than no bigger than next door where you only pay a quarter of the money , We had build up the third beds ourselves. What was very unprofessional for a booking of three
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was ideal with a good selection of food. I was really happy to stay here and would do so again. Everything was smooth and easy. I like Campanile hotels but the staff were so welcoming it made it a joy to be there.
Cons: Nothing. It suited me perfectly.

Cons: Very basic.
6.7 Good
Pros: We were able to park our car on site. The room we had was clean and tidy. The hotel was peaceful. The area being close to a lake was pleasant . Staff were on hand to help with any problems.
Cons: We didn't like being initially given the Handicapped room which was changed when we protested this allocation. This was despite booking days in advance. The breakfast was not to the standard we expected. There were no cereals and seemed expensive for what was on offer.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The beds are comfortable and rooms are clean.
Cons: The place is in the back of nowhere, the female staff member must have had a bad day as she almost threw the keys across the reception desk and when asked if it was possible to get a drink we were told they didn’t have a bar, it was 10.00 in the evening and she was standing in front of bottles of alcohol.
5.4 Okay
Pros: It’s location

4.6 Okay
Pros: It was a basic small room, okey for just sleeping and refreshing.
Cons: - was 15 minute drive to the city - booked room for three, but was made for 2
6.0 Good
Pros: The location was very convenient. The staff were wonderful and very friendly. The breakfast was nice though simple (excellent coffee).
Cons: Clearly, this is a budget accommodation, so its spartan frugality was unsurprising. The bother was that the room had been moken in, so it gave a tobacco whiff. The bedding was clean and pleasant. The hotel as a whole (including the bathrooms) resembles an industrial facility rather than a place you would enjoy staying in.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Didn't take breakfast, but the bed was comfy, and the room was clean.
Cons: Nothing not to like, it was a clean basic room comfy bed , ideal for overnight stop , close to motorway.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Pleasant location right at the heart of Dunkirk. Liked the orange press for the juice at breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Room was a bit warm. I suspect that the cooling tower is a waster of money, since any electrical device that has no connection to the outside can only add energy to the room not remove it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We had no breakfast but in a very central location surrounded by restaurants and bars. The staff were very good and the rooms very clean . The bathroom very stylish with good shower. The sink was wide but very shallow so a bit tricky for anything other brushing teeth or washing hands. we will definitely book again if we are in Dunkirque.
Cons: Thin toilet paper but we had brought some with us so we didn't have to use it! Sink in Bathroom as explained above. Everything els was good.

Pros: Its was clean ,the man on reception was good and it's very convenient for the ferry port
Cons: The hotel was very noisy and all the hall ways smell of smoke.
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were nice, friendly and helpful.
Cons: The room was rather shabby and unclean in some small areas.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good value for money. Basic but clean and excellent location to get to ferry. Pet supplement only 3 EUR.
1.0 Poor
Pros: The only thing we liked about this property was the location- close to the ferry terminal and ample convenient free parking.
Cons: We have travelled extensively around the world and have never came across such dirty hotel. The first room was dirty and mould growing in lots of places. And the second room again was dirty and smelled of human sweat odour, sticky flour and shower not working properly. Everything felt very disgusting. It was very noisy throughout the night and stay. Never thought we would find such a hotel on booking. com and we have used booking.com many times. Actually the local government officials need to check the health and safety and cleanliness of this hotel.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house was great for what we needed Alf the dog had space and so did we. It was great for getting to the sites we wanted to visit and we found a supermarket just round the corner. walking aFlat was easy round the walls lovely space for him to have a good run .
Cons: Not that I did not like it but breakfast was at the restaurant and as we were along the road it was not very convenient to get dressed and leave the dog for breakfast so we ended up not going. It would be good for the house to be able to pick up a little pack to take back or even have jam breakfast things in the house as we were happy to buy bread .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was wonderful! We had a lovely room - an unexpected upgrade probably because the stay was in January, and the hotel was quiet, but hey, we weren't complaining, it was gorgeous (Les Remparts room). We asked whether the restaurant was open and they said it was, but it was fully booked. However, they said if we didn't mind waiting til 8.30pm they would be able to squeeze us in, and they did; it was worth the wait, the food was delicious. Breakfast the next morning was also great. Loved the coffee! I thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Cons: We had no issues, so I can't think of anything to write.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A great stay with a very nice restaurant and large comfortable room. Had minor trouble with the internet and the tv control but those were not important. Glass shower in the middle of the room was a novelty.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful stay in a lovely room. Exceptional service from all staff and a very good meal as well. Would definitely return here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, a tremendous place to stay, nothing is left to chance, the room, quintessential French. We loved it, the restaurant and meal, incredible, and all locals dining on a Wednesday, how lucky are both Fiona and I. Thank you for an unforgettable night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb hosts - made us totally welcome despite a booking error meaning they were only expecting one person, but two turned up! Excellent accommodation, food and hospitality.
Cons: Nothing really - it was outstanding. Depending on your point of view, it could be a little close to the motorway, because it was faintly audible at night, but this is really nit picking and also an advantage.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our second overnight stay at Bienvenue Chez Nous in the lovely town of Bergues - very convenient for the ferry at Dunkirk. It's a relaxed and very good quality small hotel. We didn't dine in the restaurant, but very much enjoed the simple but high quality continental breakfast. The beds are superbly comfortable. There is free parking in the (quiet) street outside. A lot of investrment has taken place since our last visit in 2018, and we took care to book the same room. All we would say is that you can sometimes try too hard when re-furnishing rooms - so for example much of the lovely French furniture we recall from our last visit had been either replaced or 'upscaled' eg distress-painted in shades of grey, to match the grey colours and hues of the bedding and curtains. Very stylish, but not as authentic or classically French as we remembered it - others may love the modern co-ordinated look, of course! The owners are charming and very pleasant to spend time with at breakfast. As an alternative to eating in, do try the Bruegel restaurant, especially if you're fond of cheese in your meals!
Cons: The wifi signal was very poor, and it would be nice to have a couple of English-language TV channels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was lovely, the staff were helpful, breakfast was good. The location is also good if you want just a small French village location but with a few local restaurants and bakeries. Overall fantastic stay and would definitely return.

Cons: Very thin walls. Very noisy. Staff could not communicate in English. No air conditioning. No free parking. We paid for a garage. Very basic breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The comfortable bed but it was very low and close to the floor
Cons: The height of the bed. It was low but very comfortable.
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice location. 400m to the beach. Bad and bed was good.
Cons: I think it is time to do renovation in the hotel. On 2nd floor was toilet smell. Maybe it was temporary problem. Overall feeling that building is very old. Garden view it is view to the wall.
7.5 Good

7.5 Good
Pros: Ideal for travelers catching a ferry the following day or arriving late from England and want a rest before traveling onwards. On site parking was free of charge. Rooms are small but contain everything you need for a one night stay. Having a kettle in the room was an unexpected bonus. The bar and breakfast area looked reasonable but cannot quantify more as we did not use them.
Cons: Although more modern that others in the same area it had the feel of needing some modernisation before it gets too late.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: No English Channels on TV
7.0 Good
Pros: I use this hotel often when traveling by ferry, great place for a one night stay, but do not expect the Ritz
Cons: nothing worth mentioning
7.0 Good
Pros: The Room was very basic but with the price we paid it was expected and was clean. Overall the hotel was nice for 1 night but the outside does let the appearance down. Needs a clean up and repainted.
Cons: The breakfast was very basic. It had bread out with jam / Chocolate spead ect but no toaster.. which I found odd. Did have a choice of cold stuff for example Cereal / yogurt/ Fruit. French stick -Cheese / Ham.
8.0 Excellent

Cons: Some coat hooks

6.0 Good
Pros: Easy and convenient
