Pros: Delightful property, the owner is an artist so lots of style, and artwork. Some of which was for sale. The room was very comfortable, with views over the lovely garden. There was a shared kettle, and a nespresso coffee maker with the adjacent room. Very quiet over night, and comfortable bed. The breakfast is served around a large group table in the kitchen. It was relaxed and we helped ourselves to good local provisions.
Cons: Not being able to access until 5pm.
Pros: Loved the decor Adele is an artist. The antique furniture was stunning Breakfasts traditional and everyone sat together on a long table Adele and Matt were excellent host Looking forward to returning .
Pros: Excellent, very friendly all guests together at a long table in the kitchen. Nice variety of jams and bread, very homely atmosphere and nice to engage with the others staying. One couple asked the owners if they could have our room next time they booked, so we must have been in the best!
Cons: All OK , nice room, staff and building, lovely shower and good facilities in the room. Had requested a room with not too many stairs and we were on the first floor overlooking the garden, very quiet location for the centre of town. Parking was on the street and might have been a problem but we had a space right outside the house.
Pros: The breakfast, hospitality & location
Cons: Enjoyed it all, except the stairs to our room on 3rd floor, but I'm sure if I'd asked for a lower floor they would have accommodated us. The owners are very personable. We enjoyed a lovely continental breakfast with home made jams.
Pros: Friendly and attentive hosts who provided us with a authentic French experience. Lovely to be able to use the garden and a very central location for access to restaurants and facilities.
Pros: Charming house in a quiet garden. Well appointed comfortable bedrooms. Communal breakfast table with homemade preserves and great company. Would return anytime. Fabulous painted lampshades which you can buy in the owner’s gallery. Paintings too.
Pros: Very nice house with garden in the centre of St Vaast. Decorated with a lot of taste. Friendly family. Great Breakfast.

Pros: extra friendly owner.very clean, modern and comfortable..near beach and return ferry .comfortable beds.clean linen.beautiful surroundings
Pros: The friendly welcome. The separate sitting area with fridge, kettle and microwave. The delicious breakfast. The proximity of a good restaurant (reservation advisable). Private , secure parking. A very good shower.
Pros: Perfect location
Pros: Great place. Nice host helpful but not imposed. Apartment was big, clean with fridge and Microwave. Bathroom was spacious. Free parking place. Location is quiet and safe (very relaxing), few minutes walk to sea and center of the city. Internet connection worked very well. Good place even for longer stay.
Pros: The hosts were so so friendly. It was a pleasure to meet you! It was nice to have not only one room but a small apartment with a couch, table, fridge. There was enough space for clothes and a nice table outside to have a snack. The breakfast was delicious! 10 minutes by car to the cute village Saint-Vaast. We felt very welcome and can recommend this stay :)
Cons: Nothing! :)
Pros: The accommodation matched the description: a large area divided into a bedroom with spacious en-suite and a comfortable sitting room, with table, fridge & microwave, which enabled us to eat there when we wished. Christine kindly took care of the washing-up and gave helpful advice on the area. Patio doors open on to an outdoor sitting/eating area, with the car parked in front. The property is very quiet and secluded, separated from main road by other houses. We would go again.
Cons: Nothing really. Initially we wondered if it was a bit far from Quettehou centre, but in fact an easy walk to shops and a couple of restaurants. Quettehou, though not actually by the sea, is at the junction of all roads leading to everything you might want to visit.
Pros: The appartment is even nicer than in the pics. The breakfast was super nice and the owner was very friendly. We were late for the check out and she was super kind. Thanks. 100% recommendable.

Pros: Clean room with amenities...easy parking lovely Sea view over the harbour
Pros: Good powerful shower with very nice toiletries. Breakfast at the cafe next door is good. The evening meals at the cafe next door are excellent. Free parking is available close by.
Cons: The kitchen window above the sink looks directly into the shower room and loo!! ....so if you are having a shower you are doing so in full view of anyone in the lounge - this is despite there being some flimsy net curtains - why not for privacy sake just put some frosted glass in? The locks on the doors (to the communal hall and to the front)are pretty much useless.... we never got the front door lock to work without leaving the key in the lock - just so frustrating. The decoration has been done in a very slap dash manner which is a real shame because it makes you feel that they don't care (I'd suggest that it needs painting throughout as the walls are now very marked in places). The comfort level in the lounge is low because there are just two small and very firm individual seats.... can't understand why they don't put in a comfy two seater settee? - it would make a huge difference. The whole place needs a really deep clean - parts are very dirty. People parked their cars immediately outside the front window which was a shame as it meant you wouldn't then want to sit outside.
Pros: The Accommodation was unattended but a letter of greeting was stuck in the outer door. We were asked to phone the landlady if we required breakfast. The room had a great view of the quayside and was comfortable. We had breakfast in the adjacent cafe which was fine
Pros: Clean and comfortable overlooking the harbour
Pros: Nice location on the port with sea view
Cons: Missing amenities like shampoo, shower gel
Pros: The property was great ...
Cons: There was no-one to meet us when we arrived. I knocked on, and opened a door that I thought was the reception area, but was a private apartment of some guy. He swore at me and screamed at me to get out of his apartment. This was VERY unpleasant. Additionally, all and everything regarding explanation is in French only. There is NO English equivalent of who to contact when one is in the situation of no-one present to meet-and-greet. It was all a bit confusing and disorientating, especially after a long drive. Please could this be rectified and clarified that it is highly likely no-one will meet you at the door, but that you can contact ........ for further info.
Pros: Lovely big room and great view. Comfortable bed and very clean.
Cons: Be warned - no breakfast was available as the cafe next door is closed Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. However, tea/coffee making facilities were available in the room but no milk supplied - not a problem unless the cafe is closed!. Hairdryer and internet would be good if you're paying more than 100 euros for the night....
Pros: Quite odd to have the shower room and toilet between the living room and the bedroom but the location is exceptional

Cons: Nothing … no complaints at all.

Pros: Our hostess was very friendly and helpful. The little courtyard she has created was charming( if a little near the road). It was a 5 minute walk from the unspoilt beach which was good for an early evening walk. There are several restaurants in the town which are easily within walking distance.
Cons: Wifi connection was variable - not always a bad thing when on holiday, but can be frustrating if you need to log on.

Pros: Bed was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was reasonable. Hosts were very pleasant and friendly.

Pros: This hotel had a view of the sea from our bedroom window. The decor is interesting and the staircase with stain-glass windows was a surprise and impressive. Our Bicycles were concealed but not secured outdoors on the property.
Cons: This 3 star hotel could not be accessed before 15.00 hrs, which means bags cannot be dropped even if rooms are still being prepared. No hot cooked food available.
Pros: Very good French Breakfast.. Great location .. and very pleasant staff
Pros: I only stayed one night and was at the hotel for only a few hours, but the room was spacious and spotless, the bed very comfortable. Location quiet.
Cons: Tight parking, but adequate.

Cons: It was perfect
Pros: Very friendly hosts, unique accommodations with character. Very clean and well taken care off. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: WiFi was sometimes a bit spotty, but ok.
Pros: The very good conversation with the hosts and other guests over breakfast. They had their own hives and the loss of two of them lead to long discussion on environmental issues. Note to self: We'll need to go there on our bikes next time and not in a car.
Pros: The warm welcome from Monsieur & Madame Joly The excellent garden.
Cons: Always prefer a bath to a shower
Pros: Heartwarming welcome and very pleasant people.
Cons: Rude enough room.
Pros: Lovely simple breakfast of home made preserves, honey from their own bees, fresh bread, orange juice and plenty of coffee. The lovely couple could not be more accommodating. Really lovely and chatty via language interpretator,
Pros: The breakfast was lovely, honey from the couples hives in the garden. Such a lovely couple who had wonderful stories about D Day, they dont speak English but were very happy to have a chat via google translate. There are a couple of restaurants in the town and a bar with friendly locals
Cons: Lake was full of algae and had dead fish floating in it.
Pros: Room was cramped with strong musty smell. Had to ask for extra bath towel as only one supplied. No facilities at Chateau e.g. no restaurant/bar/library as listed on website. So pretty dishonest!
Cons: Could have at least provided the amenities listed on website. Felt imprisoned in cell-like chalet that smelt! Directed to Saint Vaas La Hougue for dinner - many miles away.
Pros: The setting, and the whole notion of staying in a chateau. Real luxury and a chance to see how ancestors lived.
Cons: Although advertised, wifi was non-existent.... this was a real drawback as we had urgent messages to send
Pros: Scenic location; good breakfast; very clean overall
Cons: Our room was very basic, with minimal, dated, furniture. No heating in the room and loo roll soggy with damp.
Pros: Was promised a room in the chateau - was given a room in the garage.

Cons: The pool was closed People arriving at 3 and 4 am woke us up
Located in Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, Hôtel Les Fuchsias is a 2-minute drive from Baie de la Seine and 9 minutes from Bois de Videcosville. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The quality of the food was very good, but it was understaffed and food and drink kept running out and had to be replenished. No organisation in the breakfast room. Some guests were kept waiting quite a while for fresh coffee.
Cons: Breakfast (see above could have been improved). Our bath was not properly cleaned, i.e. hairs in the bath.
Pros: The hotel is close to the port.
Cons: My wife reported to reception that the bed sheet was dirty. They said that they change the sheets every day - that's all. We asked if they could change them or give us a sheet to cover the dirty one, but they didn't. I reported that the shower head was missing a hook on the wall - so that it would be possible to have a shower. They said there is no hook! It is a hand held shower. We asked for a kettle to make a cup of tea or coffee. They said that a kettle is not provided in our price range! We spent almost 800 euro for two rooms for 4 nights. Even budget hotels would offer these basic facilities. The hotel is old fashioned - and not in a good way - and the staff are unreasonably unwelcoming. We were glad to leave and would have left sooner if we had not been penalised. We will make sure to recommend to our friends "not" to visit this hotel. Seriously, you can easily find better.
