8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was clean and with aircon.
Cons: The room was very small.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: perfect room, spacious & newly decorated, host was great & friendly, breakfast was fabulous.
Cons: a bit confused to find the location so location indication could be improved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s very comfortable. The breakfast is very good. It’s near RIZI. There are some restaurants and supermarket in this town.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The house appears brand new, and the room we were in was very modern. Great departure point for a visit to the Gorges de Verdon area. In addition to sitting in the room, we could sit in the spacious breakfast area (which made it easy to play family games, for instance).
Cons: Our room had a double bed (rather narrow for two people) on the ground floor and three beds in a loft above it. The beds were *short*. Two were pushed against each other lengthwise, so that two people of adult height get their feet tangled. The wi-fi signal in the room was very weak.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The stay was wonderful. The host was very friendly and nice. The room was just what you would need for two people. Location is in the village close to the the main tourist spots and if you have a car it’s a perfect balance for visiting other villages yet staying away from the crowds. The breakfast was a typical French breakfast but everything was fresh and filling. Would recommend for sure!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly welcome and a big smile, nothing too much trouble. Comfortable bed and modern facilities, easy to find and handy for visiting all the local sites, without the crowds. Would definitely come back. Did I mention the great breakfast¡
Cons: We couldn't stay in the area longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brand new place! Super clean and very kind the couple that received us. 100% approved!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was really kind and the breakfast was specially prepared for the guests.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hosts (Pedro and Chantel) were very hospitable and thoughtful to their guests. Provided great recommendations on activities for us, allowing us to rest in a very comfortable and clean stay. I would definitely visit them again. Thank you Pedro and Chantel! You are wonderful. Merci beaucoup!

Pros: Love the property! Nice and clean room, proper shower room. Great value!
Cons: Breakfast was too basic, kettle and cups were not equipped in room, only available when asked for
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms and location
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room with A/C, nice pool and great location
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing owner and staff members, catered for us a dinner according to our dietary needs. It combined the comfort of an hotel with the friendly atmosphere of a B&B.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Comfortable bed.
Cons: The staff made no attempt to make us feel welcome and offered no help with our bags (not that we needed any). Upon enquiring if the restaurant was open we were told "no" with no offer of help to find a local restaurant that would suit our needs. The place had absolutely no ambience and was more like a morgue. Breakfast was the worst that I can recall in any hotel with prices comparable to this one. The only smile we got was from the lady that brought us our tea at breakfast. The TV reception and WiFi were awful and when I advised the owner of that fact she said it did not matter anyway because they had a good overall score on Booking.com.
7.0 Good
Pros: Clean and cool rooms
Cons: Breakfast was very light and quite expensive overall
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really personal service. Quiet restful location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My wife and I have visited Riez many times over the years as my wife’s mother lives nearby. This year we selected the Bastide de Mazan for our 7-night stay. We were completely satisfied with this exceptional property that fully exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival the husband and wife owners greeted us in a very friendly manner and helped us with our luggage. They took the time to explain the details of the Bastide to us. We stayed in the spacious end room with the terrace on the second floor and we were very comfortable. The A/C and Wi-Fi worked perfectly. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the owner told us that he had purchased the best mattresses that money could buy to ensure the comfort of his guests. This property has a special character and charm. The main building on 489 acres/198 hectares dates from the 12th Century and consisted of only the exterior walls when the current owner purchased the property 14 years ago. During this time the owner has spared no effort to restore the interior to a modern place to stay and dine with every convenience. The grounds of the property are beautifully landscaped. Great swimming pool. This property is very quiet and relaxing and when sitting outside the only noises that are heard are the occasional birds and the roosters crowing in the morning. The breakfasts are very good and every day we were served delicious scrambled eggs that had been collected early in the morning. We did eat dinner two nights in the restaurant and most of the ingredients are grown organically on the property. Worthy of a Michelin star! We slept well every night and I highly recommend this excellent property. I expect to stay here again next year.
Cons: A refrigerator in the room would have been appreciated

Pros: We totally loved our stay! Everything was perfect and we’ll definitely recommend this to our friends!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This place is magic! The owner was very helpful and kind. If you want to watch the stars on the clear sky, escape from urban landscape and be awaken by the sunlight and the sounds of nature this is a place for you.
Cons: The wooden structure (room with glass panels) needs curtains since it gets too hot inside during sunlight. The eco bathroom is ok for a night, but I'm not sure it helps during longer stayings.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location is extraordinary
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect! The hosting was brilliant, so friendly and gave us great tips on where to go. The facilities were unreal and the whole place was so easy going we were left to our own devices. The room was very private and had our own living area. Room was immaculately clean. Food was great and cateres to vegetarians! Hot tub was huge and very private in the woods. Can’t fault one thing! Was the best place we visited on our honeymoon ❤️We Want to go back as soon as we can!!!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Excellent hosts and the place is just amazing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Emilie was the kindest host. we were able to rent out the bubble, a truly unique experience falling asleep while watching the stars. She prepared the most delicious aperitif with local products, a delicious dinner. The breakfast was also incredible, with homemade jams and juices. For anyone wanting to escape the city, the location is lost in the middle of the Verdon mountainous area. Emilie gave us great suggestions to visit the surrounding area. I would recommend Admirons la nature in a heart beat!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was incredible and very private and quiet. The jacuzzi was very relaxing in the middle of all the trees and the breakfast was really delicious. Of course be so close to the gorges was also really convenient.
Cons: No concerns

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Stylish, beautiful rooms, nice garden and relaxing area around the property, good homemade breakfast, very friendly and informative owners. Thank you!
Cons: Wifi in our room was very weak, same for mobile data signal. No problem to connect in other parts of the estate though. The adjoining city is very small and nothing could be reached on foot, but that´s the nature of this charming region.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very cosy, peaceful and clean place . Thank you so much for your hospitality!
5.5 Okay
Pros: Hard to find..
Cons: The room is very small. Walls in the bedroom are full of flecks. On the loor are full of ants. Our accomodation was good for maximally one night. Not for several days. We were disapointed. According presenting photos we looked forward to very nice room, but reality was absolutely different. Be careful. Only some of presented photos will be exactly from our accomodation.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet Beautiful countryside
Cons: Owner very friendly
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The most beautiful place we've ever stayed. The host is very nice, the breakfast is delicious with local products, the bed is very comfortable. The place is situated in the middle of the pure nature full of flowers and amazing smells. We were so happy to find this place. Strongly recommend!!!
Cons: Everything was perfect!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Natalie makes you feel very much at home but I think she needs to carry a portable handset with her when guests are arriving (we twice failed to get through when we were diverted and then had difficulty finding a route. Nice room with our own bathroom/toilet. Breakfast was good, especially Olivier's honey (that lavender flavour). The location was a bit difficult to find as it is 200+m down a farm track and the sign on the road needs stronger colours. Nicely located for the Verdon Gorge.
Cons: The flies and the rather 'backyard' style of the place. Perfectly nice inside .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we arrived on the farm, we knew we would love it - deep in the countryside with beautiful surroundings & so close to the Sainte Croix Lake, it was great. I room itself was so carefully decorated and we fully appreciated the authentic French style. It was quaint and romantic. We would definitely come back & will be recommending it to friends!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect. Nathalie was very kind.
Cons: Breakfast was a bit poor, no cereals & no eggs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We wanted to have a nice, relaxing, little holiday in Provence… and this is exactly what we experienced. Le Petit Fabre is so quiet, nestled on a farm amidst incredible gardens and fields, not far from the lake of Sainte Croix du Verdon. We felt centered within Provence at a superb time of year (we intentionally wanted to see the week of lavender and sunflowers blooming at the same time, and I imagine that all seasons are quite nice there). We had easy access to everything we wanted to see. Our stay at Le Petit Fabre was PERFECT in every way!! This B&B is beautifully decorated, updated and within keeping that every dreamer of Provence would imagine a French farmhouse surrounded by incredible landscapes - should be. The details for décor are LOVELY! The owners are so genuinely nice and welcoming! They also gave excellent suggestions of special areas to visit and restaurants nearby. Breakfasts were delicious, and the shaded patio was very relaxing. We wanted to bring home the precious little outdoor patio boss (a sweet petite Siamese)! Due to the solid structure of the building, even during a very hot week of the year… air conditioning is not necessary. Inside was cool and because the location is practically within a high valley surrounded by hills, the afternoons and evenings brought shaded, gentle breezes. We felt at home in the midst of beauty and tranquility.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The host was very nice. The overall atmosphere was very good - we felt like part of a family. It was just 5mins drive to the lake. You are surrounded by owners farm and lavender fields.
Cons: As you are living next to the owners farm (kids loved it!!) - it’s almost impossible to sit and relax outside even for a short period of time because of million flies (ay time of day). The breakfast could be little bit richer (maybe a bit of cheese or piece of ham/salami would do good).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the friendly staff, the cats, the solitude, the calmness, the stars on the sky.

Pros: Countryside stay overlooking mountains and lake. Good activities for outdoor folks.terrific staff.

Pros: The place is very large with lots of facilities. The room itself is not big but fine. We should have stay at the place for few more days to explore the towns around. The lake view from the large property is fantastic. And I would recommend this to anyone who wants to explore lavender fields but avoid the crowds, there are plenty of them around the areas.

7.5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast, nice breakfast area both inside (in the old mill) and outside. Nice and helpfull hosts and staff. A good starting point for long or short walks in Verdon.
Cons: Compared to other places we stayed, both accommodation and dinner was on the expensive side compared to quality. Saint-Laurent is a very small village with little to do and see and only on restaurant.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is close to the lake and 5min to the canyon by car. Staff is very polite. Breakfast is cheap and very good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good hotel with a great view. We had a room with two separate beds on the first floor overlooking the lake. The room was pleasantly cool every day. The air conditioning worked and was quiet. We let the air conditioning run through the night. Bathroom (with bathtub) and WC were in two separate rooms. A modern flatscreen hung on the wall. We had a balcony with two chairs and a table on which we had our dinner. Breakfast was good. There was a coffee machine, tea, different juices, muesli + cold milk, baguette + toast bread (toaster available), yoghurt, various cheeses, salami, boiled ham, various jams, honey, wrapped Nutella portions and fresh fruit. In the egg boiler we were able to prepare the fresh eggs according to our wishes. The breakfast could be taken inside and on the terrace (with view on the lake). A supermarket could be reached on foot, as well as the post office and many restaurants, which were also very well frequented in the evenings. The beach was easy to reach via a steep path + stairs. There were trees for shady places, the ground was hard with small stones. Alternatively one could lie on the pebble beach in the blazing sun. A second bay can also be reached on foot, also here there are not too many shadow places, hard ground and on the way into the water small stones had to be overcome. We put on slippers to go to the water, as we had to walk over a few meters of stones. The water was clear and clean, hardly waves, there was an inland lake. Excursions made: lavender fields, mountain villages
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, very quiet, excellent breakfast buffet
Cons: All needs met, comfortable bed, no complain s
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Everything was great.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice place, right above the lake, nice view to the lake. Close to restaurants. Plenty of free parking places around.
Cons: Expensive breakfast, very thin walls, we could hear every single word from the next room and hall.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We had a room on the second floor, with a view of the lake and even a balcony! Spacious, comfy and clean - the room had everything we needed, a great shower and efficient air conditioning that was already running when we arrived to cool the room down, which was perfect. The breakfast is good and can be taken on the terrace with the view of the lake. Easy parking in the area, for free. After the checkout I noticed an issue with a double-charge for the room costs by the hotel and booking.com, however the hotel acted very fast and professional and contacted booking.com to initiate the reimbursement. Great customer service!!
Cons: nothing!

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Not much really
Cons: Maybe the property has a good potential but it is poorly decorated and kept. No charme . Breakfast was such a disappointment. In a place which praises its local products the cheese and ham were presliced like in a pack, bread was precooked and hard , poor choice of fruit and when I asked for an egg they said : we don’t do eggs ! Location is also remote and the room full of flies
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amaizing hotel in amaizing place with amaizing personal!
5.5 Okay
Pros: A fantastic looking property in a great location for peace and tranquillity and visiting the nearby lakes and mountains of the area. A lovely pool and restaurant area within the expansive grounds. The whole place looks special and feels quite grand. The young guy serving breakfast was particularly friendly and welcoming. Although it is not specially obvious (to minimal French speaking guests, like us) this is a family business built around the famous truffle, with the delicacy available in many dishes served at the restaurant and truffle hunting dogs trained on site next door.
Cons: Despite the grand surroundings, our experience felt very negative. As paying guests we appeared to be of no interest or consequence to our hosts. Our minimal French could well have been a factor but it felt like we were in the way of the more profitable business and our patronage unappreciated. The main grand house is impressive looking but as a guest you don't get to enter and are housed in an adjoining building, in a small and not particularly comfortable room, with one tiny window and strange artex covering the walls and ceilings. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms and the bed was overly hard with horribly overly starched sheets. The wifi and mobile coverage is absolutely useless and frustrating. When I queried this I was given a shrug and told it was probably heavy usage. In general I felt like I was ripped off as it is not cheap to stay there and totally unacceptable level of care from staff and owners.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Travertin stone bathroom. Comfy, air conditioned room.
Cons: Couldn’t get access to wifi which actually could be seen to be a bonus.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Close to verdon gorge and aups. Apartment Rooms cool and comfortable Swimming pool is good and half in the shade after 6pm.. good if you don't like too much sun. Small restaurant has tables by the pool after 6pm and for breakfast. Evening menu limited to 1 set menu.
Cons: Had to pay by cash at check out.

Pros: Nice outside area / patio. Seemed very clean. Nice interior. Close proximity to city center.
Cons: There was no possibility to hang up the shower head in the bath tub on the wall to act as a shower. No lift. Could have had some whole grain alternative for breakfast, cereal for instance.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location for the lavender fields, verdon du gorge and st croix. Riez itself is a charming village. Good restaurants and bars too. The hotel was extremely clean, very stylish and across the road to the village. Car parking was ample and the staff extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

6.8 Good
Pros: Nice terrace.
Cons: Doors were a bit noisy to lock and unlock so we would be woken up by late comers trying to get into their rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Large, very clean room on the back with a balcony. Huge, comfortable bed. Great bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Very nice staff. Much appreciated fan provided in the room. And right on the GR4! Recommended.
6.8 Good
Pros: Nice rooms with comfortable bed. Big bathroom.
Cons: There is a bigger street right outside the hotel and the traffic is loud. To get a quiet room you have to pay extra. There was a nice garden where you could eat breakfast however there were so many wasps that we couldn’t sit outside.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel was lovely, very nice staff and very good breakfast. It was a very good location.
Cons: For a 3 star hotel it should have air con, refridgerater and tea and coffee making. It was very hot and we had no where to keep a cold drink to enjoy on the balcony. The small fan provided was not enough to keep the room comfortable in the heat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very close to lavander fields from all side: to Valensole direction lavander starts at 5 min from the hotel by car, to Sainte - Croix-du-Verdon direction lavander starts from 6 min from the hotel by the car. You are free to enjoy the azur warm water of Verdon lake (July-August) in 25 min by car. The Road of Creetes (D23) starts at 40 min by car
Cons: There is not fridge in the room, however, you can ask at receiption to use the fridge of the hotel up to 9p.m. For dinner you should better go to Greoux Les Banes as far as it's more picturesque and "tasty"place in comparison with Riez

Pros: The place is great if your touring around the area and have transport, the town is small but that worked for me. Altitude its self is great the staff were very helpful the place was clean the food was very nice, I really enjoyed staying there, it's a laid back no rush sort of place again that worked for me.
Cons: No air con, other than that everything was great
6.3 Good
Pros: location and view are amazing
Cons: the room is not very nice, old furniture and very warm (but we had a fan)
7.0 Good
Pros: Location is quite good and there are amazing views from the rooms. The rooms was clean.
Cons: Extremely small double bed (I think 140 cm). Generally the room was very small and all furnishing was very simple and quite aged.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: A small and quiet place; friendly staff; good view from the deck in front of the hotel
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The cleaner did a good job, especially in the bathroom, the room was spacious and well-located. Kind Staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great veiw. Calm place. Close to Verdon. They speak english:)
Cons: There was no any clothes hangers or wardrobe in the room.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The view was nice but can be enjoyed from outside or the restaurant without staying in the hotel.
Cons: The staff members were atrocious and zero help, and when they bothered to give us information gave us completely incorrect information. The breakfast was bread and a croissant and not worth the price. The whole hotel was old and in need of updating. The bed was uncomfortable and the linens old. The rooms were noisy with no ventilation besides opening the windows which opened onto some kind of incessant motor. The bathroom was tiny and needed ventilation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely friendly and helpful staff! I actually was very surprised how reasonable the price was for how great of a location it has. And the food in restaurant was delicious as well! Highly recommend staying here!

7.5 Good
Pros: Love the traditional French family-run hotel which we, and many of our family, know of old. There are not many places still left like this and in such a delightful location. Food still very good and staff most attentive. The laundry room is to me one of the special delights! Please never change it. But I do so miss the wonderful scents of lavender and beeswax polish that used to be an outstanding feature of the Auberge.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: I thought the team working there were very pleasant, ... the room with the terrace was delightful, we enjoyed our breakfast over looking the lake...sensational....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel. It's pity that we only stay here one night. Because of some unexpected issue, we arrived at the hotel at 10:30pm. So the restaurants in the town were closed. Although the hotel restaurant has been closed also, these two nice hotel staffs, maybe boss, made some foods and drinks for us. And these foods are delicious. This hotel is just beside the lake which has excellent view.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. This was our second visit to the place and we hope to keep coming
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really liked the charming unique hotel set in this calm village. The owners were welcoming. The homemade breakfast was delicious and we would definitely recommend the evening meal served with a view over the lake. The room was very comfortable and spotless.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The place is located on the river, so the view from the room balcony is wonderful. Room was old fashioned decorated, comfortable and clean. Our host, Bernard, was very friendly, spoke English, and told us all about the village and the lake. Free parking is available on the road in front of the place.
Cons: Room was small, breakfast was not the best. Value for money could be better, as the staying price was quite high. The house is located up the street level and doesn't have an elevator – so suitcases have to be carried up to the place and then to the room in a narrow corridor.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Great location
Cons: The place was full of cats and smelt like wee. Was also double charged
7.0 Good
Pros: location, quiet and charming
Cons: lots of cats on property, you can't be allergic

Pros: Décor perfect. Location perfect.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Relaxed pet friendly atmosphere
Cons: Beds could be upgraded

Pros: Excellent position near Lake. Lovely food in restaurant, but menu same for two nights we were there, but choices. Rooms for a two star ad you expect. Nice spa area.
Cons: The grounds were a little scruffy
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was fresh new and really nice. Clean and comfortable with small balcony, TV and Airco. The restaurant is really good! Try the fois grois and some of the chef suggestion. The staff is outstanding with a big smile and always helpful. Ask them for some tips where to go! Try the spa if you want to chill! Thanks again for the hospitality.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Bad bad internet - We have to pay to access indoor pool - Can’t take coffee with us to the room
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Room was clean, nice and just renovated, spacious, balcony was nice. Good breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. Walking distance to the lake and village.
Cons: Wifi was not working well.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hosts were very nice and helpful Breakfast was rich. Comparing to other places.
Cons: The place doesn’t look as pretty as in the pics on your site . The facilities are very old. The room were non smoking but there was some stuffy smell In the room .
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was newly decorated, clean and very spacious. The small village is 1 min away by car.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is right off the main road and has a nice distant view of the lake. We came in the off season and it was nearly empty - we were upgraded to a room with a view of the lake for free, which was very nice of them. The bed was very comfy! The breakfast was great value too, lots of options and fresh food for just 9 euros. When we visited, not much else was open so we went with it and it turned out great. The place was clean and the location was great for visiting the Gorge and lake. It was good value for the price.
Cons: The rooms are themed by color - and we got a red-themed room. It was a bit odd to get used to - red curtains, red tiles, red linens, etc. However, you'll get used to it and laugh about it. I would pick a place in Moustiers next time, just because the town is much cuter with better restaurants.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel needs updating - it looks nicer in the brochure than in real life. Everything looks a bit dated, particularly the bathroom. But it has a nice pool, and the breakfast was good as well.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good location, friendly and helpfull staff, clean and tidy and the food was excellent.
Cons: We did not realise from the online info that there was a motor caravan site and fuel station directly in front of the hotel. Not a particular issue just some noise from balcony.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great stuff, great food, superb location close to Verdon
Cons: Rooms not highly maintained

Pros: The hosts were pleasant . The room was clean. The hotel position was very good, and easy to find. Parking on site.
Cons: Very old traditional french. The materas was the same age, uncomfortable. Not much natural light throughout, basic room had views of the back road, instead of accross the lake. The bill in the morning was 50% more than it should have been.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Not so many views in the world match the one from their terrace of the restaurant.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was limited, property ageing, needs some work, staff are excellent!
5.5 Okay
Pros: The location and views were excellent, food was good

7.0 Good

Cons: The room establishemnet is old and no AC.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice styled room, amazing view, walking distance to a lake, good restaurant.
Cons: The air conditioner can be a good addition to the room. Personnel does not speak English.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The location and the views.
Cons: The room. The side of the bath was falling off and there was mould on the wall. There was no air conditioning. The staff were not welcoming or friendly with the exception of the male waiter serving at dinner and the female waitress serving breakfast.
6.8 Good
Pros: Very beautiful place with tasty restaurant. Food is good and well cooked. Pool is good and territory is clean and full of flowers.
Cons: Hotel consists of 2 types of rooms - renovated and old. Photos are mixed up and we didn’t catch that the room we booked is old and has no lake view. It turned out, that room (family suit) is too small and window looks to the road.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great - with a beautiful view over the lake. We decided to eat in both nights and found the food and wine to be good quality and good value. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Although most of the staff are very friendly and appear to be working hard and trying very hard to give the clients a good experience, there were one or two surly exceptions who made us feel as if we were inconveniencing them. For example, one morning over breakfast we were asked to move table so that they could lay up for lunch (at 9.45am!), the shades were then retracted so that we were eating it in the burning sun and the waiter, who we had not seen before, had to be asked several times to bring out missing components of the simple breakfast.

10.0 Excellent
Cons: Beautiful setting and great hosts.
7.0 Good
Pros: Fabulous location. Beautiful view of the lake from the terrace. Lovely outside areas. Nice setting outside for breakfast.
Cons: Late check in charge which we knew nothing about. No bar area. No curtains at bedroom window. Stale bread for breakfast.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The outdoor and the building from a far and a seeming point of view
Cons: The room, the bathroom ( we couldn’t even wash our hands in the smallest washbasin I have ever seen in my life) ; there was no curtain in the small Windows so wake up at 6 am. Bed linen and blanket were old and towels so rough ... Last morning we could not have a shower, there was no running water. The room so small that we couldn’t even move. It was really disappointing because we didn’ t expect luxury rooms but simple and charming according to what they call a castle. It was a nightmare
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location, amazing place, lovely staff, beautiful situation, stunning views, brilliant breakfasts and glorious pool.
Cons: Very small hot rooms. Bathroom was too small to fit into!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was simple, but more than adequate. Selection of jams, eggs, cold cuts, cheeses and drinks. Nothing to complain about. They have a horse and two donkeys outside which you can feed and watch from the window as well as other farm animals. The house is really-really beautiful and the views are magnificent.
Cons: The floor was noisy and we got checked in the wrong number initially.

Cons: The rooms were very hot even with the fans on.

Pros: The views and location are amazing. This was the only reason to book this hotel.
Cons: Aging hotel rooms, would need a refurbishment. The room wasn't very clean, No Aircon, the room was really hot during the day The staff was not very friendly. The restaurant food was basic, but that's understandable given the location. No drinkable water on tap, but again, understandable given the location.

6.3 Good
Pros: The location is amazing, some of the staff were very friendly, and while the room was very basic, it was fine for a night.
Cons: The hotel is exactly as others have described - very very basic, but in a beautiful spot. Remember to bring your own water as you can't drink tap water that high up.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is all about the location and unsurpassed views of the Gorges du Verdon. It had also been in the same family for generations with a great back story.
Cons: Dated rooms but don’t let this put you off because the unique view is well worth it.

Pros: The view is great. But not worth the price.
Cons: Food was terrible. Service is below average. Bugs in the room. WiFi didn’t work.

7.5 Good (327 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hôtel Sainte Anne places you in the heart of Les Salles-sur-Verdon, a 2-minute drive from Lac de Sainte Croix and 6 minutes from Gorges du Verdon. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for money. Really well run. Clean and at the top end of 3*.
Cons: Not much. The hotel is entirely non-smoking which will make it more appealing to some people. No air-conditioning but if you use the shutters you can keep the rooms cool.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Balcony was a great addition to our room. Great views.
Cons: The woman running this hotel does not like to work and / or to talk with people - This hotel would be awesome without her - when we were asking infos she was always answering in a patronising tone. Also it is good to know she is out of the hotel until 3pm, so there is no one to help you if you need anything until that time (and you also use the backdoor to enter, more like an apartment than a hotel). Also if you want to use an hairdryer, use only the one from the hotel because ours was apparently too 'strong' for the plug and created a power failure (so be careful even with your phone, and If you need to use a CPAP for sleep apnea dont come to this hotel, you will not be able to plug it).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, clean, comfortable bed and great views of the lake.
Cons: Only fans in the rooms no AC, we visited during a heat wave so was very warm at night.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great cozy place right on the lake. Good view of the lake and a plaza. Enjoyed it very much!
Cons: Late check in policy was strict, we had to pay a 20% fee (of total cost of room) because our arrival was delayed. Didn't know this because it's in the fine print, but apparently it's there. Also, breakfast you have to reserve in advance, but booking.com didn't tell us this nor were we told upon check in. Lastly, internet is painfully slow, which is fine, since it's good to be off grid sometimes, but we had to make some plans for later in our trip and were barely able to do so.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are quaint and comfortable - especially the beds! The views from the rooms are amazing and the staff is thoughtful and friendly. I wish we could've stayed longer and will stay here if I'm ever in the area again.
Cons: WIFI isn't that great and there is no coffee in the room - you have to go to the desk and pay for it if you want it before breakfast is served around 8.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice room and staff
Cons: Breakfast was poor given the price it was sold
6.8 Good
Cons: Weak wifi and only in the reception room, noise from neighbouring restaurant, poor facility. Price does not match quality.

Cons: Mix up over breakfast.

Pros: Very nice hotel, good location, easy to find, comfortable room, few good restaurants just near the entrance, free parking
Cons: It was quite noisy in the night because of bar near the hotel
