Pros: I can honestly say that this is the best place to stay I have ever been. Merilyn and Bruce are just amazing. Very kind, friendly and happy to help you. Yes, the house is not placed nearby any beach and you will not get any spectacular views from you window but if you want "true aussie" experience (peaceful place with lovely garden) this place is exactly what you're looking for.
Pros: Everything was perfect. Merylin and Bruce welcomed us very warmly and made us feel at home. The bed was super comfy, the room was a very generous size, heaps of nice food for breakfast and the garden was immaculate. Will definitely be back and will be recommending to friends and family.
Cons: That we only stayed the one night.
Pros: The breakfast was simple and unimaginative. There was no shortage of food available.
Cons: I number of basic pieces of equipment were very second rate, Frig did not feeze ice block we purchased and TV sound was so poor it made it painful to watch, The sloping ceilings were problematic as we had to move furniture to make it clear to stand near it.
Cons: We are like everything ,all small details it's feel like home ,convenient location very friendly owners a lot of thanks
Pros: Our hosts were great. Location was close to shops Nice and quite
Pros: Quality of room, breakfast was great.
Cons: Great place to stay. We were very well looked after by Merilyn and Bruce
Pros: The room was clean, and comfortable with all of the conveniences of home, our hosts were welcoming and helpful; an ample continental breakfast offering a choice of cereals, yogurts, fresh or tinned fruits plus bread/muffins/toast and various spreads. Tea, coffee and fruit juices were available. For those visiting in summer a poolside, alfresco breakfast would certainly be an attraction.
Cons: The lighting, especially over the dining table could have been better.
Pros: Excellent hosts, nothing to much trouble for them and very informative regarding the area.
Cons: Everything was excellent.
Pros: The owners are super friendly and helpful. The accommodations are exactly as described; comfortable and roomy. The self-serve continental breakfast ingredients left in the room are plentiful and delicious.
Pros: Everything. Merilyn and Bruce were warm welcomers and overall great hosts!
Cons: Nothing. It was perfect

Pros: I cannot speak highly enough of this B&B. We had SUCH a fantastic stay here........ Everything was absolutely perfect. The place is beautiful, surprisingly big!, the decor was super nice, and the peaceful backyard was fantastic to have breakfast in... Judy and Barry are incredibly kind and will attend to your every need. We had ample supplies for breakfast every day, as well as fresh pastries and chocolate waiting for us in the afternoon. I would not stay anywhere else when in Port Stephens! The location is excellent too -- we walked down to the end of the street (to Soldiers Point) and saw many super cute dolphins in the bay... It's a perfect base from which to discover everything that Port Stephens has to offer. Thank you, Judy and Barry!! :)
Pros: The Host Judy was most welcoming friendly & helpful, the accommodation was 5 star, cost was similar to local Motels Without question we would certainly stay again & recommend De-Lovely B & B to all. DJW & JB Cairns Qld.

When you stay at Oaks Pacific Blue Resort in Salamander Bay, you'll be near the beach, within a 5-minute drive of Salamander Bay Shopping Centre and Toboggan Hill Park. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The room and pool are both great. Parking is great.
Cons: No restaurant. Bar. Or room service. No vibe to it unfortunately.
Pros: Front staff were exceptional. Extremely nice and a pleasure to talk to
Cons: Maybe upgrade electronics and technology. Wifi was at a cost which seems ridiculous after paying to stay. Bluetooth speakers is essential and maybe even smart tvs
Pros: Nice room
Cons: There is no restaurant or cafe ect
Pros: Friendly, Knowledgeable lovely staff especially Sarah M who checked us in & gave fantastic local recommendations. She made our Anniversary/Bday holiday extra special. Upgraded to room with a pool view, bottle of wine, comfortable modern quiet room with own entrance to pool, comfortable bed, safe/secure gated resort, convenient parking in front of room. Great quiet location next to Salamander shopping centre. Less than 10 mins drive from Nelson Bay. We chose this over busy, noisy Nelson Bay Accom, great choice! Stayed an extra night.
Cons: Overall great only a few minor things: Had to go to reception to reset room/gate key daily which was a hassle. When guests smoke on their balconies, smoke drifts across to other rooms. Bathroom could've been slightly cleaner. Rooms aren't serviced daily.
Pros: I really enjoyed the lagoon all the way around the units it was really relaxing to be around.
Cons: The shower mats weren’t great at catching the water coming from the shower.
Cons: It was extremely windy the whole weekend. My son lives in Salamander Bay and has done so for the last 3 years. He said he has never seen the wind so strong the whole time he has lived there. Of course the wind is not something that the resort has control over . I give Oaks Pacific Blue Resort a big thumbs up regards Karen Matthews
Pros: The bed was extremely comfy!! The space in the Room was beautiful
Cons: The restaurant and barb were not functioning
Pros: We got upgraded to a spa room for our anniversary
Pros: I liked the décor of the place, and the easy parking, the comfortable bed and the availability of fridge, electric jug, toaster, hairdryer, ironing board and iron. The tv and a bonus -the cd player. Other facilities were available for guests, such as gym and lap pool - excellent.
Cons: Unfortunately the restaurant was not operating. We would have liked to have a meal there at the resort.
Pros: Sarah at the front desk was super helpful when arriving! As it was a leisurely trip for my three year anniversary with my partner they gave us a free upgrade! Incredibly clean, extremely comfortable, amazing facilities. We will never change our accomodation when coming to Salamander Bay!
