Bahia Principe Grand El Portillo - Samaná - Bedroom
1
9.1 Excellent (3,730 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Las Terrenas, this beachfront property is connected to a shopping center, 1.6 mi (2.5 km) from Punta Popy Beach, and 2.2 mi (3.6 km) from La Iglesia Beach. Playa Ballenas and The Whales (Cayos Las Ballenas) are also within 6 mi (10 km).
5.4 Okay
Pros: Buffet restaurant is top notch! Always very fresh food and plenty of choice! Beach is great and you can walk to las Terrenas over the Beach (about 4 km or 50 min).
Cons: The noisy rooms are dated, the white towels are rather grey, and I doubt we got the booked 48m2 junior suite, but rather an 32m2 ordinary room. Personnel seems to work only for tips, which could mean that they are underpaid. When arriving, we were given two dinners at an a-la-carte restaurant, but when trying to book, only two slots were available, as indicated by this very arrogant booking guy, of which one of the dinners was at 9 pm, which was too late for our 8 year old daughter. Well, avoid the a la carte restaurants, because the buffet restaurant is better quality.

7.9 Good
Pros: Everything, especially location!
Cons: Air conditioner was out of order while staying there. In this climate it didn’t add any comforts
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the employees services. Excellent clean service.
Cons: Many times not hot water. They need to fix that problem, for ever
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was great, varied and good taste. Staff is incredibly nice and committed to the customer. Location is simply amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the location was beautiful
Cons: The bar at pool closes at 6pm however by 4pm they were shutting everything down, no frozen drinks. Reservations for dinner need to be done days ahead not the day before as told being that everything gets booked.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: -The staff in the hotel is very friendly and polite -Beautiful territory
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff, Claudio, the manager, was great dealing with our needs Beautiful hotel
Cons: Our bedroom had a private bathtub that faced another building and had no privacy at all
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location and amazing staff
Cons: Air conditioning could be better
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful environment. Nice private beach. Great breakfasts and dinners. Easy to get seated at pools, beaches, and buffet restaurants. Great bar service on the beach.
Cons: You can't book specialty dinners until you arrive, and they were booked the first night we got there. Bed was rock hard. Lunch buffets were not very good. All-inclusive was nice, but the only wines included were house wines which weren't good, and no light beer. Our biggest complaint was the discovery, after we got there, that there was a big push to sell you on their vacation club/time-share, and the transportation company they use to get you to and from the hotel also tries to sell you excursions.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous location and friendly staff.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great views all around, good food and very kind staff. Great place to stay with kids of all ages.
Cons: The hotel rooms are furnished in an older style, the bathrooms could use some maintenance as well. Internet is not so good. Restaurants are not open every night, some of them only 2 nights a week.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mostly the view, but the stuff and the food were amazing as well

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beautiful blue water
Cons: Everything was beautiful. No complaints
8.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The hotel as a whole is a fully rounded package offering a care-free vacation. The food is very good and plentiful. The staff is amazing. Special thanks to Carlos and others in the buffet area, Nadiuska and others in the animation team, Eduardo from the reception... Basically all the staff whose names I did not catch. The location of the hotel is amazing and it offers wonderful views. Everything is taken care of during your stay. Definitely a place I'd like to come back to.
Cons: Somewhat small bathroom.
7.0 Good
Pros: Just as pictured on the website. I loved the pools. The spa was absolutely wonderful ❤ we received massages from hotel employees. Front desk agents were very professional. Staff great waiters.
Cons: Food was horrific @ the buffet. Same food everyday. 3 restaurants but only 1 open per night. Very few staff members speak English. No one acknowledges you when they see you. Bartender needs to learn new drinks. Entertainment director needs to up his game.
6.0 Good
Pros: The staff was pleasant, the food was great, and the view was amazing. Really enjoyed being in paradise with my family and my friends. The front desk people were very helpful and pleasant always.
Cons: I think they could've provided washcloths, they could've had cleaner bedding and provided not just the morning housekeeping but also evening turndown service. I think the staff could be prompter when requesting items for the room as well. My girlfriend was getting married here and I was apart of her bridal party. The wedding coordinator didn't show up to the rehearsal -- which I found that to be confusing and very unprofessional.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super clean, beautiful accommodations, wonderful staff, great food
Cons: Nothing
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: I stayed at the brand Bahia principe Tulum many years ago and had an exceptional experience so did not hesitate to book the Grand Bahia Principe Cayacoa on my recent trip to the Dominican Republic. From the start to the end, the whole experience was distinctly average and sub-par to the 5 star rating that is so proudly embellished on the walls. It was so distinctly average that I checked out an entire night early and flew back to New York to avoid another underwhelming day. Here are some of the notable complaints: * The drinks were ok except at the poor bar where cheap spirits and low quality mixers are used. * The beds were less comfortable than my bed at home. I struggled to sleep the first night due to the low quality mattress. * I used the gym daily. Neither of the treadmills were in operation and I had to ask on two separate occasions for the only water to be filled in <25 degree heat. * The shower in both the gym and the room took a long time to heat up and was no more than a cheap shower head. * The staff were ok. They were sometimes helpful, sometimes unhelpful. Consistency at a 5* resort is a baseline. * The food was fine if you are ok to eat solely carbohydrate as a vegetarian. My only source of protein was eggs at breakfast and I could only make one a la carte reservation for my final day. I had left by then. * I paid $40 for a manicure which chipped two days later. The salon down the road charged $8. Five times the price for an ‘ok’ manicure is not good enough. * I only took a credit card with me and did not realise the hassle this would cause. Neither ATM machine on site take all credit card providers and there is no cash back facility at the resort. After nearly two hours with the hotel team, the closest ‘solution’ they could find to get me a taxi back to the airport was to be escorted by a local taxi driver to his brothers gas station. Not exactly a safe solution Overall, an average experience
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Is too far for the customers from US We don’t have direct flight to Samana, from the DR Airport to Samaná is 2 1/2 drive back and forth. It’s almost half of my vacation day take away.

Overview Reviews
Nestled on the beach, this Samana property is within a 5-minute walk of Cayo Levantado Beach and Cayo Levantado. Playa Las Flechas and Marine Life Experience Cayo Levantado are also within 15 minutes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I had been in many and much expensive hotels, however, this hotel is the best hotel that I have ever been in. The price is more than reasonable. Rooms and Lobby in high standard. Best quality alcoholic drinks, as much as you like. Bars at the lobby, the pool and in the private beach. The food presents variety of the best of the best. The staff are very friendly particulars Jeniffer and Franklin. Beautiful pool and hot tub. This hotel is heaven.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was good and there was an assortment of items do choose from. The views from the balcony of the suite were beautiful and breathtaking. This definitely a place to go to relax!
Cons: That I couldn’t stay longer!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The beaches nearby, the heated swimming pool, the view from our room, the “extras” the hotel offers including customizable pillows and aromas, and the service.
Cons: The lack of available excursions available and the entertainment was not good.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff is nice and super helpful, the drinks and food are surprisingly good for an "all inclusive" concept. The views are just AMAZING which would be helpful in Jan when whales come. But don't expect any turquoise color of sea water, it's too deep for that. The hotel is quiet in early November, maybe just 20% of rooms occupied. No huge tour groups, just independent travelers.
Cons: The only thing that concerned us was that due to very strong waves and high tide the private hotel beach was not really there. The waves would reach the sunbeds washing away our things. But hotel provides a free transfer to the island nearby, there is a very pretty proper beach, though no food or drinks are included as it is just a public beach. Check in is at 3 pm which leaves you without any lunch. But you can order snacks through room service.

Pros: We decided to stay a second night in Samana as this was way better than Punta Cana for having a real taste of the DR. We had zero doubt on which hotel we want to spend our extra night. Definitely The Bannister! Look no further if you want the best hotel in Samana with a magical surroundings and a super nice marina.
Cons: All perfect! Thanks a million!

Viva Wyndham V Samana - Adults Only - Samaná - Building
6
8.9 Excellent (1,268 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Nestled on the beach, this Las Terrenas property is 14.9 mi (24 km) from El Salto del Limon.
7.0 Good
Pros: In general very nice hotel with perfect beach, really nice and relaxing holiday; but there's much room for improvement (not comparable with European standards). Hotel facilities are very nice and clean! Good Wifi! Fantastic beach, one of the best on the island! Nice and motivated staff! Bungalow very nice and calm.
Cons: No snorkeling directly at the beach. Extremely low water pressure in the shower, waterfall shower did therefore not work, in addition water was not hot, only warm (we had the bungalow). No mattresses for regular beach beds; the big beach beds with mattresses are comfortable, but they are wet most of the time, because it's not covered when it rains or in the night. The beach bar did not clean the glasses properly, they only put it under water for a second without detergent/cleaning fluid and this is very unhygienic. For the food we would recommend to offer less but better quality. It was average but not really good, with only a few exceptions (e.g. beef/lobster at new years eve). Every meat and fish is cooked to death and very dry, e.g. the tuna or salmon filets, also in the a la carte restaurants. Make sure to only eat at a la carte restaurants and don't eat at the buffet (I got heavy food poisoning from Paella or salad there; I reported to the hotel via e-mail but only got back a standard reply... not professionell). Service in the a la carte restaurants was great, service at the buffet restaurant was horrific... staff is nice, but not competent, the forget to bring drinks or ignore you, then sometimes glasses or cutlery is missing... that's just annoying. Alcoholic drinks were average only due to low quality liquor, e.g. Whiskey
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beach and coast line was definitely a plus for me. We stayed in the bungalow with a private pool and the bungalow was spacious with a very comfortable bed. It was also super nice to have room service for days we just wanted to be indoor and be by ourselves. The staff were also a plus as most of them were very helpful and joyful. During the day there were different activities (sport, dance) and at night different shows and parties.
Cons: Nothing!
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff was great, the pool area was very nice. The bedrooms were spacious.
Cons: Some times it was impossible to find a place near the pool or beach as German tourists were leaving their towels blocking the sunbeds for an entire day.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful resort, the bongalos were amazing. the food isn't that good but you can find what to eat there. the staff was great and very kind
Cons: The food was lacking and needs to be invested in cleaning the pools
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We spend wonderful 3 weeks at the hotel. Everything was amazing. We came as a family: two adults and a teen; all of us were equally satisfied with offered entertainment and amenities. The rooms are very clean and the service is impeccable; the staff is extremely attentive. A separate appreciation to the animation team who do a super job every single day and night. Very enjoyable games and fantastic shows and discos. Furthermore, the hotel itself is located in a very beautiful place. It is practically Garden of Eden (which is inhabited by Colibris by the way)
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Entarteiment staff was to loud
5.4 Okay
Pros: Nice food and outstanding service by the wait staff at the A la Carte restaurants, nice beach and swimming pool area.
Cons: The worst review goes to the reception staff who almost always appeared unwilling to help or do any work. We asked twice for our coffee machine to be fixed and for a new robe as we were given one with a hole and we are still waiting! Our room felt constantly damp, it was hard for anything to dry and there was a lack of hooks and spaces to hand clothes and swimmers to dry. It would have been helpful to have a board or flyers with information about the excursions available rather than having to go into the dedicated office during the limited opening hours. The hotel is far from town or anything at walking distance. Facilities are nice but not outstanding considering the price. We were charged the full amount of the stay on our card 24h before the option to cancel expired and without notice. We won’t be coming back in a hurry.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: I really like the rooms were very clean and the staff was very helpful
Cons: No complaint
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location in a beautiful bay. Comfortable rooms and good selection of food
Cons: Food was good especially in Fusion restaurant But food could always have been a bit warmer.

Pros: A very quaint and quite hotel that is tucked away in a side street. Very clean rooms, clean pool, peaceful and amazing staff. You pay for the breakfast but we'll worth it.
Cons: Nothing I didn't like.
7.5 Good
Cons: Missing things in the room. Like the remote to ac.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff members were extremely helpful, friendly and respectful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owners and staff gives you excellent service is like your staying with family..loved the hotel definitely going back .
Cons: No complains
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good location, close to the El Limón waterfall, cheap price for the night and free parking.
Cons: Our expectations based on the reviews here on Booking was high but unfortunately the hotel was just an low-average. There was no English speaking staff but we had also a problem with basic Spanish. There was no possibility to have and to pay for a breakfast, even if there is an information in description here. Problem with the cold water in the shower, poor WiFi connection and noise from the animals (roosters) in the neighbourhood all night. The village El Limón is close to the waterfall but during the evening/night there are almost no restaurants opened. If you plan to visit the waterfall, you don't need to pay for a guide and horse, you can walk just by yourself (only some meters in the shallow river). Guides want to scare the tourists to convinced them about their services.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanness. The staff was great. And I got to inagurate the pool! The bed is super comfy.
Cons: Wish the cable was better but I wasn't there to watch TV so it doesn't matter
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best place to stay in El Limon, there's parking on the territory, the breakfast is at nice place nearby for additional cost. You can also talk to the administration on horse riding and visiting the El Limon waterfalls. Be aware that it's not easy to find the place: carefully look for the signs at the road.
Cons: The neighbourhood might be noisy in the evening cause of the church. But it's ok. In the morning you'll hear the countryside specific sounds.

Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The place looks exactly like in the pictures - it is apparent that the owner thought of every detail. the pool is very nice, and the breakfast is amazing. The owner and stuff are very kind and nice.
Cons: The main problem is that there is no main area to hang out. Only small tables outside each bungalow, which were too small for more than two people. We used the pool, tables and facilities of the guest house, but didn't feel very comfortable for using theirs. The water in the pools were cold, and could be warmer (although the kids were not bothered). Many hammocks are scattered in the area, but unfortunately not near us (This is however was about to be fixed after we left).
7.9 Good
Pros: It’s very cozy and rustic. The staff were lovely and super helpful.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is amazing. A wooden bungalow really calm with a beautiful garden. You can order food and it is very tasty. And you are close to beaches of Las Galeras (both Playa Grande and Playita can be reach by foot, when we arrived we parked the car and did not touch it for the duration of our stay).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The team there is absolutely fantastic - we had a wonderful stay, and actually wished we had stayed longer at the property. Short walk to 2 different beaches, secure parking, and the private pool is such a fun touch! The room was unique and quirky, but had all the comforts of home.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere & the food was amazing. The location was also optimal, right next to shops & the beach. I felt completely safe and comfortable there.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location is beautiful staff is friendly and helpful
Cons: The food is over priced.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Unique rooms full of character. Breakfast was amazing. Helpful, friendly staff
6.0 Good
Pros: Bungalow was beautiful and well equipped and they accept credit card payments, which is not at all granted in the DR. The staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast can be served to your bungalow porch and the serving was beautifully arranged.
Cons: The mosquito netting is a bit of a joke, there's nets on apparent windows of bungalow but on the back there's a lot of holes so the bungalow was really full of mosquitoes all night and in the morning we were full of bites. A net on top of the bed would do a great deal better job. We did not get warm or hot water from the shower, so that was a downer too. This was easily the worst place we stayed at DR and also the most expensive by nightly rate, but I quess we were incredibly lucky with the other four.

Pros: Everything was perfect. The place is awsom, stuff was very friendly, food was delicios. Recommend!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The house is beautiful with a lot of attention to detail, large rooms with balconies overlooking the pretty garden. Super friendly and helpful staff, free yoga classes right by the sea in the morning after which you can take a swim in the sea before heading to breakfast. Incredibly beautiful beaches nearby. We loved it!
Cons: The restaurant could be better managed. You always need to search for plates, glasses and cutlery on other tables yourself. But we could deal with that as everything else was just perfect.
7.9 Good
Pros: We spent 3 days on a family trip, staff is friendaly and restaurant food is good.
Cons: They changed one of our rooms to another building less confortable.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is stunning
Cons: The food in the Restaurant was the worst I had in a very long time

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The beach at the hotel is awesome. Staff is friendly and service oriented. Breakfast made fresh to order. Close to town and businesses.
Cons: Furniture could use a little updating.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Villa Serena is a great deal! The property is ocean-front with a small private beach. They offered 8am yoga, as well as bike, kayak, and snorkel rentals. It is just a short walk into the main town. The hotel was quite peaceful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location to the beach and the front desk staff was very courteous and friendly.
Cons: The in-house restaurant could be improved especially breakfast. And the fan in our room (#17) was rather noisy.

Get your eggs scrambled, make sure your try Willy’s incredible cooking and head to Oscar’s for a game of Dominoes!
1.0 Poor
Cons: I made a reservation through booking.com then somebody from the hotel contacted me asking for a 100% deposit for the reservation. Little to no communication as the Covid-19 sanitary crisis started. Still waiting for answer today.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was just an incredible experience. I went for my Anniversary, and sincerely this was an amazing experience living with the nature, the staff is EXTREMELY good and they take care of all details to make your stay comfortable. I loved the nature, the rooms type and the ROCK, where they presented a singer, it was so romantic.
Cons: Nothing to comment. It was a very nice stay on this Hotel.
6.7 Good
Pros: The architecture and layout were beautiful. Very chill environment. Staff was very nice and friendly. The tour to the waterfall was amazing with the local tour guide. the food was delicious and freshly prepared. They also upgraded us to the Beach house was really nice.
Cons: Staff was disorganized and inefficient. They were a little too laid back. The rooms were not always prepared. We had to ask for things that we should not have to ask for, like hand towels, keys to the safe. When we requested something they either took a very long time to address it or they just forgot about it, so we had to remind them. No one told us that we would need a car to get around the area. Dinner always started later then schedules, one time we had to wait over an hour for dinner. When we were checking out , they charged us for all the drinks they gave us, but they never told us that we were being charged for those drinks. They also forgot to ask for the room key back, and we almost took it with us. They said it happens a lot (!). The staff should remember to take the keys back! The beach house was lovely, but it was far from the lodge and we didn’t have a car so we had to walk along the road in complete darkness (they didn’t have flashlights so we had to use our phones for light) and it felt dangerous because cars and motorcycles drove really fast and did not see us walking in the dark. The beach house did not feel safe because anyone could climb into our room through the open windows and steal our valuables. Of course we could not use the safe because they did not have a key for it! Feral cats kept climbing in and fighting inside our room. Also, the shower had almost no hot water and no pressure. It was just trickling down, and it was very hard to take a shower. Overall, it was a decent place to stay, but it was not worth the expensive rates they charge.
5.0 Okay
Pros: It’s a beautiful jungle with lots of floral and local fauna
Cons: The fauna it’s right in your face specially at night
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The architecture

Pros: Amazing coffee and piña coladas. Small kitchen outside was very clean and fully equipped. Staff were very friendly. Great location if you want a bit of quiet. 5 minute drive into town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The property has everything one needs, clean bedding/towels and hot water. The garden has matured and the walkways are framed by flower bushes, as a result there were lots of butterflies. From the balcony we saw horses canter and grazing, cows, a donkey, goats and a sheep. The staff, Margerita and Louis are delightful. And of course the owners Francesco and Andrea. We were at 21Palms already last year, and not ever having visited a country twice, we did so for 21 Palms. We also met some Canadians and Germans who were visiting before. It is more than a hotel, it is meeting friends. Breakfast is very good (fresh fruit, decent coffee, cake (sometimes banana cake, yummy), toasted sandwich, eggs, juice and jam, if you like) Great cocktails at the bar Super quiet (you hear the sea) and if there is a barking dog in the neighbour hood, then the owner usually takes the dog in within seconds. So it really is a quiet and peaceful place. There is one beach just around the corner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was great staying here, walking to the beach and relaxing on the balcony.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We really appreciated the jacuzzi and barbecue abeible. The room was really nice

Pros: Mucho Gracias to all lovely staff I met. I really enjoyed the quietness of my stay. Francesco makes excellent cappuccino.... All the best to all lovely staff and mucho gracias to the cleAning staff, tour guide Louis ;)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything from my stay. The owners and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, they will help you with everything you need. Suggestions on the area, beaches to visit, restaurants to go, they know! The property is gorgeous, very well taken care of, EXTREMELY CLEAN (yes, in caps!) the rooms are spacious, bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is satisfying: fresh fruits, juice, coffee, a sandwich or toast and your choice of eggs. I stayed in a 1st floor bedroom and i had my own kitchenette, so you can cook your own meals there. The closest beach is a mere 5min walk. The onsite bar is stocked(great cocktails!) Overall, it's a great place to stay in and i will for sure be coming again! Thank you!
Cons: I didnt like that i had to leave!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Francesco was very nice and helpful. We had a great time there. The property is full of charm and very well located close to one of the best beaches of the North. Would highly recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was in the 2nd floor. Air conditioning was not necessary because it was windy and there is net at windows. Bathroom was renovated and water was hot (we had some issues in other cities with this). There is a wide open balcony where you can seat and relax. Very close to the Aserradero beach (less than 5 min. walking). Hotel bar is excellent. Prices are fair and owners Andre and Francesco are amazing hosts. Breakfast is delicious (fruits, sandwich, eggs, cake, juice and tea/coffee/capuccino). Garden is very beautiful and well maintained.
Cons: There is absolutely nothing to complain.

Cons: The food
9.6 Excellent
Pros: the hotel is really beautiful and stuning views to Caribean sea and Cayo Levantando. very romantic place.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Ariel. The selling point of the property is definitely the pool and the view from the terrace. However, compared to other options in the area, Hacienda Cocuyo is over priced for its value.
Cons: It’s over priced. We had dinner and the portion was very small. Breakfast was better, be mindful that if you book your stay through booking.com, breakfast isn’t included, according to the manager.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Best place in samana!!
6.0 Good
Pros: The view, la vista... even if the new construction kills it a bit. The personal was friendly and understanding expect the owner.
Cons: The pictures don’t relate to reality, the pool was green and dirty. They were constructing and making noise the whole day from 9 in the morning on. The food was good but the portion are ridiculous and the price way to high. The choice of the food is very limited and poor. The new construction destroys the charm of the view.

Pros: THE BREAKFAST was perfect, coffee, juice, bread, jams, eggs, that was the best part! The staff was wonderful very informative, our toilet didn't work when we first walked in the room and they immediately fixed it. Really quiet, romantic, you feel more like a guest in someone's house than like you're at a hotel. We were free to use the dining tables outside to eat, they even allowed us to use the kitchen microwave and refrigerator for our things. Great stay:)
Cons: You have to pay extra for air conditioning, but the fan was strong, so we didn't really need it. There was absolutely no sign of hot water in the shower for the 3 days we were there.

1.0 Poor
Pros: Poor
Cons: Location
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good; best part of the stay.
Cons: The room was inaccurately described has having a balcony. We paid extra for a room with a balcony, but on arrival were told that the balcony rooms were not available and yet still paid the same price. Also, the room did not have any soap. We asked for soap and were told that soap is not provided. They appear to have spent too much money on their Figaro-branded shampoo be able to also provide hand soap in the rooms - I don't understand the priority.

Pros: Hola soy turista de Corea del Sur quien me quedue aqui ayer. The owner he is from Canada he can speak French, English and Spanish. maybe he speak German too. So we can tell him anything we need. The accomodation is really nice cuz hot water, fast wifi and beautiful background scene. you can see the front sea of Samaná every morning and the evening.
Cons: When you go down from the house to the malecon, it really good and fine. But when you go back to your room after dinner o drinking, absolutely I'am sure it's soooooooooooo hard hahaha. Because it is located on the hill. But the other things are perfect.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had an excellent stay at Hotel Las Galeras for 3 nights in May 2019. The hotel is located less than a 3 min walk from the main Las Galeras beach (Playa Grande) and less than 1 min walk from the main street with all the restaurants / shops. The hotel was modern (newly renovated) and spacious with very high ceilings and large bedrooms and bathrooms. Lovely balcony. WiFi, A/C and parking all available. Included breakfast was delicious and very on-point with the tropical setting (fresh fruit juice, tropical fruit, jams, eggs, avocado, etc). The owners were very welcoming and helpful. If I am every lucky enough to return to Las Galeras, I will certainly stay here again!!

Pros: Breakfast was delicious - eggs any way. The view was fantastic. The coffee was so-so. The cooks/servers were very pleasant.
Cons: The room has hair in the shower and on the floor that wasn't ours and smelled a bit musty.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: good breakfast great location, terrace with a beautiful ocean view very big bed
Cons: no one cleaned the room during our stay
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location close to main street but enough away to be very quiet and with seaview. Walk 20min to La Playita for a more family friendly beach. The swimming pool is very well taken care with a great area for kids. All the beds have mosquito nets which is very useful. The baby crib is very good. Fresh breakfast with a lot of fruit, two eggs, two slices of bread but only a very tiny cheese slice. The host, Dominique, is very helpful and kind. He gives great recommendations on where to eat or how to reach La Playita beach. He even helped to change our booking to a larger apartment since we had booked one a bit too small for our baby to walk around.
Cons: The response to questions before arrival is quite slow, for two occasions we needed a response after booking and before arrival that took several days to be responded. The apartments/rooms are small for full capacity, ie have too little common area space due to too many beds in the apartment. If you are going to use the full bed capacity of the room, it's not possible to eat or stay all inside e.g. around a table. The mattresses are a bit too soft so if you are used to hard mattress, the back will complain a bit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this place sooooo much. It was our home away from home. Dominique was a wonderful host. He did a great job recommending places to explore and what places would be better to explore with a guide for safety. We loved playing in the pool every day. The women who serve the breakfast and clean the rooms helped me when my son became sick with a tummy virus. So very sweet. I would recommend this place %100. It’s safe, friendly, clean and the location is perfect.
