Stunning setting in fully operational Michael Angelo hotel
Too short a stay
Great location, beautiful. Nice pool area. Superb breakfast!
Restaurant is very expensive, the food is average. In my opinion overpriced.
My family had a wonderful time at a Villa Mangiacane. The sommelier gave us a wonderful tour of of the vineyard and wine tasting. The pool is beautiful. Wonderful breakfast. Lovely rooms. Very peaceful property.
The evening that we stayed, the restaurant was virtually empty and understaffed, likely due to a very large party happening in the main building.
Everything was amazing! The staff was friendly, helpful and genuinely cared. The buffet breakfast had everything and more. The meals were comparable in price to all the top restaurants (pricey) but were equally amazing. The grounds were heavenly.
The only complaint I have is that I had a really early flight and had to leave the hotel at 3:30am. I arranged a porter with the front desk to collect my bags but no one came. I managed (and will now travel with lighter bags from now on lol), but would have expected someone to come considering the high standards the hotel met with everything else. Mistakes happen and I got a good work out in, so all is well. (This usually wouldn't be a problem, but there were many cement stairs to maneuver and about a 3-5 minute walk over rocks to get to the car... I was definitely sweating by time I got to my car).
The slow service when ordering food and drinks
