Excellent, lovely people, meal times a most enjoyable experience Nothing, I liked it all
Traditional feel of the villa. Very good selection and quality of food served for dinner and breakfast by Angela. The computer in the lounge being set to play various popular music (regardless of what it was), which rather spolied the quiet atmosphere.
I loved the staff. The food was excellent. Having meals with Senora Trigona and Angela. Room 1 was fantastic. Grounds great. My experience was over the top. Would go back in an moment.
A quiet location and a nice building. Rooms have thin walls and you can easily hear what is going on the neighbouring room. Breakfast of low quality and not consistent with four stars.
The couple running this B&B were extremely nice, though no English was spoken! The food was outstanding and the room mostly quiet - when the Nona in the next room wasn't on her cell phone!
Peaceful location, considerate staff, bountiful breakfast in a pretty setting.
Good location on the outskirts of Piazza Armerina. Beautiful traditional Sicilian country house with original antique furniture. Delightful owners and excellent local cuisine. A wonderful experience.
Friendly, attentive, english speaking hostess. Cosy, warm atmosphere. Benevolent staff. Substantial and well -prepared food ( for a reasonable price).
The back terrace is lovely for breakfast....the view is the orange grove. You have the option of having dinner with all the guests in the kitchen. Trigona is family run and the mother loves to cook typical Italian home cooking. The wine provided was excellent. We were locked in the bedroom when the key failed ! The immediately called a locksmith and all was well :) Now it is just a funny memory.
Traditional old atmospheric farmhouse/villa, large pleasant room, lovely welcome, friendly atmosphere, combined with excellent traditional breakfast, dinner+ wine, informative about area, book lending, great value for money
Don't judge it from the car park as it doesn't look anything special. Once inside the door it's fantastic! Very nicely designed with great facilities! Our favourite being the private beach with views of Falconara Castle...just beautiful! Didn't want for anything during our stay! Excellent staff, food, drinks and room! Expensive but you get what you pay for.
lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings excellent dinners loved the musician who sang and played keyboard large comfortable room and modern bathroom a little far from everything could not find it with our gps
Everything was great, the only downside was the inadequate beach but the hotel seems to be putting finishing touches to its surroundings.
i appreciate the location just in the city center and that it is a residence not an hotel ( you have your key to go in an out when the reception is not working : no fix time) breakfast of very bad quality
I'm very impressed by the hotel. It's located right in the center of city. It has cool, very interesting design. Rooms were clean and very well equipped. The staff showed us three different available rooms so we had a chance to choose. This hotel definitely gives outstanding value for money. We didn't have a breakfast, so I cannot talk on this. And of course when I go next time to this city, I'll stay in Art Hotel again! Good luck!
Amazing hotel, totally value for money! It's one of the few times where the hotel itself is a true experience. The only minor default was that the breakfast was a bit poor. But still it's a great hotel to stay in.
Extaordinary design and decoration. Good position at the top of the town.
Great Location, We were given the choice of two rooms and preferred the standard room with cathedral view. I would recommend for a night or two.
A very unique hotel, featuring lots of original art on its walls that you can buy, if interested. It seems a little strange to find such a place in a small town. The bed was very comfortable (not always true in Italian hotels). They serve a very nice breakfast as well. The staff were very nice, but note they speak very little english, so brush up on your Italian before you go!
Very good location opposite Duomo. Very interesting decor in our room.
The staff were lovely and the rooms were unique (we were shown two and made our own choice). We chose a room called Fluidity that had a round bed, a sofa that looked like red lips, a chair made of cardboard and a floor that had liquid tiles which changed as you stepped on them. So far so good. But there was no place to relax and read a book--the lips sofa is as hard as a rock and the bed had no headboard. So while the room looked good, it was probably the least comfortable hotel room we have ever stayed in! The view of the cathedral was wonderful. Breakfast was fine. The artwork around the hotel was interesting. The location was perfect for visiting the Imperial Roman Villa. Just the fact that there was no place to relax and read a book in the room. If we had wanted to watch the television, I don't know how we could have unless we sat bolt upright on the bed. My suggestion would be to add a comfortable chair or headboard to that room.
The design of the rooms in the hotel is artictic, unique and superb. As owner explained to us, he has engaged artists to design each room, and rooms are really different from each other, surprising and very artistic design. me and my company really liked it. The premises itself is modern, hotel has elavator and dining room is on the top floor with the view on the cathedral and, on the other side, towards the hills (over the town-roofs..lovely) - the beautiful cathedral at fron of the hotel...has lovely and laud bells that ring every 15 minutes. It can be a bit disturbing when falling a sleep and early in the morning. (good for early-wake-up).
This is the funniest hotel I ever saw. All rooms are decorated in different styles and have very characteristic design. It is close to one of the major attractions in Sicily, the Roman villa di Casale. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, although continental.
The view on Caltagirone was beautiful, rooms big and clean and personnel friendly It`s quite far from the city, so you need a car.
Grand older hotel in the 'new' town, with good/great service and amenities. Stunning views over old town. Difficult place without a car - to get anywhere; public transport: bus- a long walk, train a long way away - need taxis. The hotel restaurant, though charming and with top service has lousy food; there are no other restaurants in walking distance of hotel.
The food was excellent. The room and appointments were very good, and Laura graciously helped with parking and our next reservation. Hard to find until you learn to follow the signs for the hospital.
the hospitality of the staff it does not provide an iron
Breakfast - it was fantastic in its quality and variety The staff who were very nice and helpful, especially the dining room staff The air conditioning which was marvellous as the outside temp reached 45 degrees The ambience of grandeur in the hotel and its furnishings Nothing
Proximity to old town Caltagirone was good. Hotel is not located near any restaurants.
The staff were very helpful at all times. The hotel dining was acceptable enough but see below. We tried to find a restaurant neerby but failed both times and we were driving. Recomend that you do not ake a car to old town. The charging structure when you were only having a main meal was extorinate as they still charged for 3 course. The pool sides due to its location were covered in green algae. I feel that they should clean the pool more often as a result as my wife and oldest daughter wouldn't use it. Never did find a restaurant withing 5km of hotel. I am sure there were some but I don't know where they were.
reception people excellent, kind and courteous Breakfast was till 10.00 am, at 9.30 bacon finished and when we asked the male waiter we were just told 'yes it finished and it is rather late', some service
Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Nice breakfast.
The Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the lovely guy at reception. the swimming pool was great, although very few people were using it, just us and one other guy over the four days. The drinks were a bit expensive, and it's a twenty five minute walk from the centre of old town caltigirone, but you can break your journey at the garden bar, which is a great little place on the via maria dei gesu.
Value was great. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Pool looks great for summer (we were there in Nov. so too cold to swim). But we enjoyed the fireplace. It could be very quiet in winter - we overlapped with a tour group but other than them and us, I think we were the only guests. Appears to be a starting point for lots of hikes and bike rides and if I had more time I would've taken a hike.
