Except at the heaviest traffic times, everything is less than 25 minutes away by car. I can see not having a car being an issue, and I'm not sure how convenient Uber or Lyft is in the city. Cons (-) I'm sure this is a standard San Diego policy but the hotel charges 18 dollars a day for parking on site. I saw that in the gaslamp quarter these prices were closer to $35 dollars a night. Just keep that in mind if you are on a budget.
