, people were very helpful at the desk.
Rooms were super clean and updated. Good channel selection on tv. Staff was super friendly and accommodating, even let us move rooms to avoid office construction noise.
A little retro hotel/motel; a slice of the past fo
Very cute little place. Perfect location -- close to airport, easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. Incredible value for those traveling on a budget. Very nice staff. Great little breakfast cafe. Beautiful pool and outdoor patio facilities. The room is nothing fancy, but very clean and comfortable.
The last night, our upstairs neighbors were VERY heavy-footed. That 's the only time we've ever had a problem with noise; have stayed here several times over the past three years.
well maintained, even if dated
Go for the hotel, stay for the waffle spot
Rooms were standard, clean enough, beds comfortable enough, etc. BUT the waffle spot, now there's where this place stands out. Imagine the best waffles of your life, just a 2 minute walk from your room! Definitely the best part of the stay. Would highly recommend the blueberry waffles.
Nice older hotel, great value
Was a bit noisy near the pool
Excellent Customer Service
The Staff is wonderful. The hotel is one of the cleanest I have ever stayed. Food was good and the Bartender fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel.
The staff, from the manager to the cleaning staff exceeded great. They were all so helpful, patient and went above and beyond helping us with ANY inquiries. The restaurant (mexican) and the Waffle Spot were both FABULOUS! I can't applaud the staff enough! The day we arrived San Diego was having the WORST rain storms in over five years! We requested an upstairs room due to the flooding. But the staff went above and beyond in getting us settled, provided extra requests from us with NO HESITATION! I would recommend the KINGS INN if you want open hospitality and NICE PEOPLE!
Good deal for the price
Close to old town and mission bay Free parking Pool is heated
A little outdated Nice from freeway if your your faces freeway
Check in time
Wasnt able to check in until after 5:00 PM. That, to me was unreasonable. Something to do with short staffed in the houysekeeping dept. I flew in from HNL via Seattle so was shelled and didnt appreciate waithing so long to get my room.
Convenient--for the most part
Cute hotel. Nice pool/lounge area. Rooms were clean and comfortable although it did take quite a while for the A/C to cool down the room. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Check in isn't until 4pm...that seems VERY late to me. I have never encountered a check in that late before. I understand that rooms need to be cleaned but if check out is 11....maybe that's just me. Luckily they were able to accommodate our early check in the weekend we visited. No continental breakfast that I saw, which was listed as an amenity.
Breakfast was not included, but was delicious at the Wafle spot! I could have breakfast there for the rest of my life! Staff was very friendly.
General atmosphere not nice. Rooms, particularly shower room, in very bad shape. Odd smell in the room. I did not like at all.
free wifi, size of the room was good, the hotel has a good diner open from 7am to 2 pm and it offers free coffee 24 hrs in the lobby.
pool outside area pleasent
dirty, mold, noisy ac heater, unsafe rear window broken
Lots noise yelling fighting police illegal pizza delivery aces put flyers under your door nasty mean housekeeping manager yells at you when it's after 11
the staff were helpful and friendly, parking space was available, the breakfast waffle was great!
there was no facility for hot water or heating water for hot coffee or tea
We were happy with how quiet our room was, and the location in relation to the street. We would like to visit the King's Inn again and hope to have the same room location.
The pool was nice as was the Waffle restaraunt.
My room didn't have a hair dryer but both of my friends rooms did.
Restaurant working houres
wireless internet access only in lobby (as a single parent, leaving my room to use my computer at night after a long day of play, was not an option) -- wireless would have allowed me to do some work whule my child slept.
