Pros (+) The price was great, the location was good for me, and the staff was pretty good about blocking me a room in advance. The rooms were decent and had sinks, nice TVs, dressers, and lots of closet space. The beds were ok but not great.
Cons (-) The restrooms were disgusting. The kitchen needs cleaning and refurbishing. Some jackass was talking loudly on his cell phone and playing music at 1:30 a.m. I couldn't close my window to tune him out. It was really annoying.
Pros (+) The building is historic. The historic El Capitan Inn over the former grand El Capitan Hote from 1960s, but now a parking lot however the historic hotel portion remains. It is a great deal for the price. Great friendly employees. Friendly housekeeping. Safe area with vibrant hispanic culture. You feel like youre in Mexico, Central, and South America. Very fascinating.
Pros (+) Gate lock from neighborhood.
Cons (-) Have to pay parking and the shower and toilet are in a commons area.
Pros (+) None.
Cons (-) Didn't really stay. Saw the place and cancelled immediately.
