Bed was a bit stiff. A little stuffy.
Good location, good people
Owners were very friendly. They allowed us to use the rest of our stay after we checked out early and missed our bus they let us sleep in our room at no extra charge which was extremely appreciated!
Bathrooms could have been kept cleaner but maybe that was because it was late at night when I used them. In the morning they were nice and clean. We also didnt have a secure door for most of the night into the morning. The keys stopped working or something and if it wasnt for my boyfriend asking a couple times I'm not sure we would have gotten a working key.
Fast and cheep
Loved the location the service and price
Got the job don't I don't think I can complain
Cheap place to stay. Close to market street and train station. Not too many people stayed at the hostel. Bathroom was always stocked with paper. Bathrooms and shower were clean.
Not a true hostel as their is no common area. Only private rooms. Neighbors always have music playing loud. Neighbors also smoke a lot. Smell from smoke reached our room
Ok, but limited
Seems to be in the midst of an overhaul. New floors and paint and in decent shape for one of these cheap San Francisco hotels/hostels.
The owners/managers are a little crazy... Room was booked for two but they freaked out when my friend came in to stay, until I pulled up the reservation... Also, they hate animals... They were going off on someone with a small service animal.
You get what you pay for
It's cheap and you get about what you expect for $50 in San Francisco. The accommodations were moderately decent considering the location. I was expecting it to be slightly more bare-bones so expecting literally nothing I was cool with how it all worked out. Also the location in terms of how close it is to everything is pretty great. It's right next to Japan Town, China Town and Haight & Ashbury, so that was cool. Don't expect much more than a convenient location in the ghetto.
It's literally in the Ghetto, basically it's in the red-light district. There's no parking and I nearly stepped out of my parking spot onto human shit. Definitely come prepared and armed with some mace or a stun-gun just in case. Nothing happened but better safe than sorry. Avoid eye contact and don't talk to anyone until you get to your room and try not to come back late. Definitely not a safe area to bring your family. Also I was able to break into my room pretty easily, I won't disclose how but it was concerningly easier to break into my room than it was to unlock the door. Don't bring anything valuable. This a place to sleep, not a place to stay.
