Stay in the heart of it all at The Adrian. This historic hotel is nestled in the center of San Francisco's Tenderloin district, an eclectic trendy neighborhood that's home to two of the city's most iconic music venues, the Great American Music Hall and The Warfield. The Tenderloin is also home to the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, fantastic restaurants, local shops and authentic dive bars; The Adrian is close to them all, an ideal place for those eager to explore the city's lesser-known local favorites. It's also just a seven-minute walk from the Market Street and 7th tram stop, for easy access to the Civic Center district, SOMA, Hayes Valley, the Fillmore District, the Upper Haight and other iconic neighborhoods.

The Adrian is a part of San Francisco's history, located in a recently restored 1907 building, complete with gilded detailing along the exterior and dark wood chair molding throughout the hotel's marble-floored lobby. Rooms feature a subtle retro style, with a minimalist decor that allows for substantial cost-savings, compared to other hotels in the area. Pros (+) This place was located in the most sketchy place in San Francisco, so we wouldn't recommend staying with children. We parked at the curb and the manager of the hotel said because of street sweeping starting at 6am, we would either need to move our car to another parking space or wake up at 6am to move it before the street sweeper came.
