Pros: https://www.casarurallacabaladeibeas.com/ Never underestimate the importance and value of good honest customer service. Unbelievable kindness and hospitality from these guys. Family run business going back generations. Muchas gracias! This was a nice step up from the crowded Albergues. Well worth it and warmly recommend to anyone doing the Camino de Santiago or just on vacation in North Spain.
Pros: Very easy to communicate with and organised a pick up and drop off from the Camino. The dinner and breakfast was excellent!
Pros: Easy to find, lovely little house, good bed, comfortable lounge, nice hot shower, very friendly proprietor. I had a room at the back which was nice and quiet. A front room may suffer from a bit of traffic noise, but probably quiet enough at night.
Cons: Hard to get an evening meal nearby - the local restaurant doesn't serve dinner on Sundays - so I had a simple meal in the hotel, but it was quite basic
Pros: Everything, it was just all superb and the host was just first class....!
Cons: The host advertised that she could provide the evening meal. She forgot to mention that there was no choice. Dinner was 2 runny fried eggs, ham with a chewy sinew running through it, a handful of fried chips, and five small pieces of black pudding - none of which we ate but for which we were charged 30 Euros!! The same pork product was presented again for breakfast. Totally unacceptable to assume one's guests don't have dietary requirements and/or likes/dislikes.
Pros: Blanca who runs the guest house is charming and made us very welcome. The house was immaculately clean and very comfortable, breakfast was also very good. This is an ideal stop when passing the Burgos area and not wanting to enter the city.
Cons: We didn’t have any criticisms at all, though it may be worth noting that the guest house is right on a very busy main road. The triple glazing is excellent and we could not hear the traffic at all, I do wonder though if it was hot and we had to open the windows how the noise might be? Worth considering
Pros: Our hostess was the mostest! She picked us up in San Juan and cooked us dinner and breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend it to all. It is a little pricey but worth it. She even gave us water for our journey the next morning.
Cons: The Camino is right out the door but along the highway most of the way. We missed the turn that takes you along the river so it was a rather yucky view.

Pros: The motel is remote for walkers on the Camino Frances, but the owners were very obliging to pick us up from our stopping point 8km away. No traffic noise.
Pros: Very very clean rooms with good size beds and friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing it was spot on for us.
Pros: Great staff. Nice parking. Nice coffee in the morning)
Cons: Thin walls. Could hear people next door.
Pros: Very helpful staff, comfortable and clean room
Pros: Budget stay near Burgos Nice staff, cheap meals at the restaurant. Must have a car. Plenty villages to visit around. Clean. Comfortable beds
Cons: a bit away.
Pros: The owners advised us to park behind the hotel under a roof. The food at the restaurant was very good including a good paella. The staff was willing to help.
Cons: nothing, excellent value.

Pros: Check in was very well done by Jenifer. Dinner was quite good
Cons: Property was very run down and way overpriced. Room was very shabby and we had a shared bathroom which normally would be ok but you could hear everyone going to bathroom during the night
Pros: Dinner was very tasty and good value.
Cons: Very basic accommodation which was expensive compared to other much better places on our trip.
Pros: We had a 3 bed room which was perfect for just the 2 of us as there was plenty of space. The pilgrim meal was quite good.
Cons: There were bathtubs in the shared bathrooms but no plugs. It was a little way off the Camino so it took a bit to find it. Maybe signage could have been better.
Pros: Breakfast was provided and there was a good choice of food.
Cons: I was very disappointed when I saw the room it was very small and quite grotty it really needs upgrading as do the two shared bsthrooms one had run out of toilet roll. One towel was provided A country room but really not good enough for paying guests
Pros: Very characterful place with a great ambience and a lovely owner and staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and it’s worth staying for the food alone! Lots of history inside!
Cons: One bed was a bit uncomfortable probably due to age and wear.
Pros: Very good situation for the Camino trail. Just a minutes walk from shop/bakery and other bars/restaurants. Very comfortable and clean. Owners are very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.
Pros: Location to the small town is perfect, just on the Camino path. That is the only plus...
Cons: This was the very worst stay of our whole Camino trip. Nothing was as described. It was dirty, beds uncomfortable, headboard slid behind the bed, thick with dust and not bolted down. Decor not done since the 90’s, shared bathrooms were absolutely awful. Dirty, falling apart, wallpaper stuck with parcel tape. Doors banging all night, really loud guests, slept on first floor, near bathrooms, with 4 other rooms of upto 8 guests! no soundproofing or solid doors - the building maybe historic but so is any repairs. The outside patio was filthy, birds mess on every chair and table, we cleaned ours but 3 staff sat doing nothing for hours inside. Bags of rubble in the garden. Shame as it could of been a lovely space to enjoy. The Breakfast was a cosco dream. Everything in packets and not in a good way. Bedding was old and although smelt fresh, it was horrid. Furniture was worn and well used not in a good way. Needs some serious investment to bring it upto a fair standard which they could do Charging such an expensive rate for what it is. Over 60 euro, massively expensive for the Camino and this standard, the alburgue near by at 6 euro was cleaner and nicer shared bathrooms Captive market as no one else offering private accommodation in the very small village. Please invest some money and deep clean, refurb and it would be so lovely.
Pros: Very friendly staff, went out of their way to make us feel welcome, even insisting that we could check in later after settling in.! The full length bath was most welcome after another tiring Camino stage. Evening meal and breakfast were very nice. The staff Jack Russel likes to be made a fuss of!
Cons: We had real difficulty locating the place, it is initially signposted from the main road but then you are left up in the air. The hotel was warm and comfortable on a cold night in October though the restaurant could have been a bit warmer.
Located in Atapuerca, Hotel Rural Papasol is within a 15-minute drive of Mina Esperanza and Monastery of San Juan de Ortega. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, ATM/banking services, and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The property has a lot of charm. The meals were very good.
Cons: The internet does not work, but we were told we could go to the Square and get free internet there. And we did.
Pros: The small room was simple but adequate. The dinner was quite good. The younger man working the desk and serving dinner was very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Was clean enough but could use a bit of additional cleaning. Breakfast was set out the night before and no attendant in the morning...they forgot to set out coffee pods. Breakfast was mediocre. Old building with wooden floors and therefore quite noisy. Walls are not sound proof.
Pros: Everything just wonderful
Cons: All good
Pros: The room was cosy and comfortable. It had a gorgeous view from the window. There was a bath in the en suite bathroom which was divine afer a 30k walk. We had dinner in the restaurant which was basic but inexpensive.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit basic for the cost. It was left out the night before (Ham and cheese on a plate) as the landlady said she wouldn't be up. There was a coffee machine with pods but no hot water we wanted to make tea and had our own tea bags. Eventually a lady came in to clean and she gave us a jug of water to heat in the microwave. A small investment in a kettle would be an idea. A small quibble becase the staff were friendly.
Pros: Not so good. They put the food out the night before because there was no one there to staff it in the mornng. We opted not to eat there. We walked a couple of towns over before we stopped to eat. The place is quaint, cute. Low ceilings, and low doorways.
Cons: Showers were a little small. Too easy to hit the handle and scald yourself. Needed to be careful in using the shower.
