Pros: It is definitely one of the better hotels we stayed in in Nicaragua. Very clean, nice staff, good breakfast. We arrived during the national holiday, but the staff helped us organize a hiking tour with nativo tours, which was amazing. The rooms were nice too.
Cons: I think it said the room would have a balcony, but that just meant there was a public balcony in front of our window.
Pros: Always a good stay
Pros: Quite and comfortable.
Pros: Excellent staff, good breakfast, good bathroom with hot water.
Pros: Breakfast was ok.
Pros: Friendly staff, good breakfast, good location. After walking around Matagalpa and checking out a few other hotel choices, staying here was a good decision.
Cons: No problems.
Pros: This is the cutest little hotel. Kind of a boutique hotel. Ultra-friendly staff (many speak English), very clean, rooms up to North American standards. Great breakfast with eggs made to order. The owner Yvette came over during breakfast to introduce herself and make sure everyone was happy. I totally recommend.
Pros: I loved the location, it's in central Matagalpa and it's close to everything. The staff is really nice and they help with whatever they can, the breakfast is included and it's really good, Nicaraguan breakfast.
Cons: There were no hand towels, that's the only thing that was missing.

Pros: Great Room, Great Breakfast.
Pros: The rooms were very clean nice and the bed was very comfortable the bed-and-breakfast was very centrally Located in town it was one of the nicest places we stayed on our wonderful trip to Nicaragua
Pros: The staff was very friendly and took very good care of us. The breakfast was delicious!! Thank you for the hospitality!!
Pros: Clean and comfortable, big kitchen, lovely staff!
Cons: Not a lot of guest but that's not the hostels fault.
Pros: - good location - big dorm bathroom - nice balcony - information on tours - Seems to be the only "real" hostel option at the moment.
Cons: The staff doesn't really support a social atmosphere. The hostel and the family's home are a bit mixed, so it is normal to see the man lying on the sofa and watching TV and not even saying "hi" when you pass him. Sometimes you feel like your intruding their home while being at the hostel.
Pros: First really hot shower, great mattress, big room. Perfect location and there was enough place in the house to chill. Host Stijn was great, arranged an awesome tour through Matagalpa tours. He waited for us to get home after dark. Always open for questions, and he likes cheese from Holland;)
Pros: Very helpful owner. Free coffee in the morning and free potable water. Very close to the centre and lots of restaurants close by to hotel. Recommended.
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, the people who run this place are great Benny and his Mom were so helpful in every way ... great stay
Cons: everything was perfect
Pros: Nice beds, good space, near the main square
Cons: Water wasn't warm
Pros: Great staff, great location, nice rooms and great deal for the money!
Pros: Big hostel with a very well equipped communal kitchen, nice host and a big balcony. There are many informations about activities around. Each bed has a own lockable closet.
Cons: The kitchen offers only a freezer for hostel guests. The refrigerator is officially only for the family that lives there. Not every bed has a plug nearby, which makes it hard to set an alarm and charge your phone overnight at the same time.

Pros: place is clean and nice location beautifu.
Cons: Well, they don’t have bar that the only thing, place where you can drink beer.
Pros: good location, internal garage and nice little room
Cons: staff is not helpful not very polite baths was a little dirty
Pros: Was a last minute option. The room was nice and clean. Bed was also good! Perfect after 2 weeks of staying in budgetfriendly hostels. There was a pool, but as I just spend the night, I haven’t used it.
Cons: Price was by far the highest i’ve payed on my Nicaraguan trip. But again, it was a late night option ad it was close to my previous accomodation.
Pros: The staff at Hotel Work-Coffee is adorable and does everything they can to make your stay as good as possible. Communication was efficient. The hotel disposes a small conference room which also serves as an office space, making the hotel suitable for business travel. The rooms are comfortable and clean, as are the common spaces. The breakfast is excellent. There is also coffee at your disposal during the day.
Cons: The kitchen is very limited during the day and night, however there are restaurants and cafés a short walk away.

Pros: For the price this was a very pleaent stay, Everything was kept very clean and it had the appearance someone really cared about the place. the rooms are small and not too sound proof but the balconies and sitting areas were really nice. the staff was very attentive and friendly I would stay there again
Pros: Central location. Friendly helpful staff.Nice terrace with view.
Cons: I didn't use the shower as the electrical connections were exposed just above the shower-head & didn't look safe!
Cons: The location is not ideal because the street is very noisy
Pros: The room would have been OK, had it not been for the staff, and the hotel is quiet and comfortable
Cons: Homophobic evangelical hotel staff/owner trying to keep me from staying in the hotel I reserved. On arrival, we were asked numerous times whether we were sure we wanted a room with one bed. After the 4th or 5th time, I asked if they had a problem with us. They said they didn't. A short time later, after we waited, they mentioned something they had never said previously, that the previous occupants of the room overstayed and that the room was not available. They said they would make another room available (with two beds), and that we would have to pay about $6 more. I refused and insisted that they at least honor the PRICE of the reservation. I argued with three staff members, one of which was verrrry unpleasant (a heavyset older lady who, though she denied it, was probably the owner). I was diplomatic throughout, but I asked them to make a choice - whether I was going to cancel the hotel, leave a horrible review and call booking.com over the incident or whether they were going to make the room available. They finally relented and said that they would remove the (fake, invented) people that were supposedly in the room. On further investigation, we found out that the owners of this hotel are evangelical Christians, and the following night in a lodge in a nearby town, we were told by the owners that the exact same thing had happened at that property to friends of theirs. If you agree that gay people should be shunned, then by all means, stay at this hotel (by calling them directly, because I'm going to ask insistently that booking.com remove them from the platform). In this way, I will actually be doing the hotel a favor, in that they won't have to accept anymore filthy homosexuals like us. Hopefully this review will help all kinds of people who are against discrimination to make the right choice when reserving a hotel in Matagalpa.

Pros: Place really beautiful, well kept and room extra spacious. The room we had, had a great view to the whole city of Matagalpa. Quite, nice people, I would stay here again.
Cons: The lobby, the gardens, great I think the rooms need a little of bit of an update, but they were clean and really spacious.
Pros: The room was spacious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The view of the surrounding mountains was great! The gardens on the property were beautiful.
Cons: There were no outside seating areas. The beds were just okay. The entrance gate was left open too much.
Pros: Great view! Big room- value for money in Matagalpa
Pros: The 25 room hotel is set in a beautiful garden above the noise from the city below. $C40 per person taxi to anywhere in the city. ($1.33) Pretty much have the place to ourselves...small tour bus groups use this place 3 or 4 times a week for overnight and morning buffet. Great value a la cart breakfast available. Awesome coffee.
Cons: May be an issue for walkers because it’s a steep .5 mile above the central plaza.
Pros: Nice price, nice staff. Nice building.
Cons: Poor WiFi connections. They had multiple networks but only one that worked was the one in the lobby.

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. A shuttle from the hotel to the airport is provided for a surcharge (available on request), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location in centre is great. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Also several speak good English
Cons: The restaurant was temporarily closed whilst I was there - but this was a very minor inconvenience
Pros: Located in the center of Matagalpa an easy walk to most attractions. All of the staff were amazing and Celeste speaks fluent English. I was there for 10 days and no complaints. Wonderful people and a Vibrant town.
Cons: The owner began yelling at my partner and I after we returned from an outing claiming that we needed to pay him more money than we were quoted when we arrived. He said we should have referred to the prices on the booking website and not gone by the quoted price at arrival though his employee made this mistake. He was totally rude, unreasonable, and treated us very poorly even though we did nothing wrong. I would have had no problem paying the price from booking except that we weren’t told until the next day and when he did it was by shouting at us and accusing us. Definitely would not recommend this hotel as they mistreat their guests, the shower was cold as ice, bed was uncomfortable, and the room was humid and the air conditioning barely worked.
