They were super accommodating with my extremely late check out, and the staff made sure I had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable.
The pool was drained but that’s no fault of the staff
Close to Cedar Point.
Front desk staff was more concerned with their phones than helping customers. Rooms were clean although toilet paper was not restocked. The soap is some nasty fragrance from Bath & Body Works. No free breakfast or coffee.
Good budget hotel and close to the park!
Overall, the hotel was great. I stayed here about 8 years ago prior to the renovations. The hotel looks and feels like it should cost more than it does. The beds are fairly comfortable and the room was very clean. My top cover had a few stains on it, but I’m super observant and I’m positive that the majority of folks wouldn’t notice. The stains didn’t appear to be bodily fluids so I’m not super concerned. It’s about 2 miles from Cedar Point on the same road and comes with some perks for being a hotel guest. Overall I highly recommend, especially if you’re looking for a very nice, yet lower-cost lodging option.
The only thing I really disliked was how spread out the hotel felt. The elevators are around two corners which are kind of a pain when you’re lugging everything in. No one told me I could’ve moved my car to the other entrance to be closer to the elevator. Beyond that, I wish there was an indoor pool, but that’s not enough to sway my decision about the hotel either way.
Close location to the park
We loved bow close the hotel was to cedar point and ability to purchase cheaper park tickets that also allowed us to get into the park early
The room we had was not in the best shape. There were obvious signs of age/wear and tear. Beds were not very comfortable either but for a short drive from the park, it is a good hotel to crash at before driving home
Cedar Point's Express Hotel is an ideal hotel option for guests who are planning to spend a day or two at Cedar Point amusement park, Cedar Point Shores waterpark, or both. The hotel is owned by Cedar Point and is situated just a short drive from both locations. The resort recently re-imagined all of their rooms to give them a contemporary look and feel. There are 419 total rooms for visitors to choose from.
Each room in Cedar Point's Express Hotel comes with several different amenities to make the guest's stay as comfortable as possible. Some of the things visitors will find in their rooms include an in-room coffee maker, mini-fridge, and microwave.
The hotel offers some great ways to spend a day on-premises outside the park. Enjoy the heated outdoor pool, children's splash pad, courtyard with sitting area, and children's playground. It also offers a variety of quality-of-life additions like a convenience shop on the first floor as well as laundry facilities.
Perhaps the number-one reason to stay at Cedar Point's Express Hotel is the ability to take advantage of Early Access passes to the parks. Guests staying on-site have the opportunity to get passes along with their tickets that let them enter the park one hour before the general public. All visitors have to do is present their tickets to the concierge desk and an Early Access voucher will be given to them to be used that day. Guests can also purchase other convenient items at the front desk like Fast Lane passes that will let guests skip the lines at some of the park's most popular rides.
