Wonderful views, peaceful, clean accommodation within easy reach of tourist attractions and lovely, friendly atmosphere. Maybe a little bit time restrictive - The curfew was a little early for a holiday - perhaps midnight would be more appropriate, considering the theatre performance in Sorrento meant pre-booking a taxi which cost 22.2 euros to travel about one mile! I also met a new friend at a nearby hotel but had to rush away which was disappointing.
Friendly nuns. Lovely roof top sitting area. Would appreciate a kettle and tea-making facility in room. 1st night ( of 4) had a stiff starchy towel. Felt a little constrained by house rules (quiet/11pm 'curfew' etc). Hot water supply for showers always seemed inadequate. I think internet use here should be free. Credit card facility malfunctioned.
Sitting at the terrace and looking down to the sea.
Very noisy room on the street. Very hot - with no air conditioning or even a fan. We stayed for two nights - they did not clean the room during that time. From the train station it is about 1 km to walk - taxis do not want to bring you there (as it is too close for them), so to walk with luggage - not an enjoyable experience!
This is a quiet, beautiful hotel with a very special atmosphere thanks to the nuns who run the place. The view from the terrace is breathtaking, and the rooms that face the sea also have a spectacular view. Our family room was reasonably spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast is only served between eight and nine, which was fine in our case, but means limited flexibility. The street outside the hotel is a thoroughfare with hardly any room for pedestrians.
This lovely convent is situated on the cliff top with glorious views of the coast towards Vesuvius - breathtaking! The nuns were very welcoming and our room was large with comfortable beds and spotlessly clean. Public transport good - 10-15 minutes walk to the Circumvesuviana station, and a local bus stop outside the door. Would stay here again and recommend to anyone wanting to stay in this area.
large room with high ceilings and double bathroom looking over a monastic garden; very private the hotel's booking service was confusing and even though it advertised a special discounted rate we were overcharged for our stay. after a number of exchanges, the hotel was still unwilling to refund us. the location is not ideal for exploring Rome and the breakfast is rather spare in an unattractive basement room.
It was a very nice hotel. The nuns were very friendly. The building and grounds are beautiful.
Wonderful view from our room and perfect location on the gulf of Naples. One of the nuns is speaking english. Quiet atmosphere. Personnaly we found no inconvenience but be aware that the hotel is run by nuns with implications in terms of noise or opening hours.
Quiet. very spacious and and tastefully decorated room. absolutely fabulous views.good breakfast.Always a smile from the Nuns road was narrow with no footpath
The Hostel is more like a 5 star hotel. It is impeccably clean and excellently decorated. It was a little difficult to find at first but was in reality convienently located to everything you needed and wanted to see. The spa facilities were awesome but I would advise non- Italian speakers to make sure all is understood about the services being puchased. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a stay in Sorrento and will stay here again when we hopefully return in the future.
The room was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful, great location - quite. It should be noted that you will pay extra for air conditioning, use of the mini bar, use of the pool and the fitness equipment. However, that had not impact on what i thought was fantastic, value for money, accommodation.
The Staff, Facilities, and the location are all excellent for the price. The hotel is opulent and well appointed, the staff are friendly, knowledgable and very helpful, and from the front door it's 10 minutes to the Marina Grande or 10 minutes to the heart of Sorrento. Nothing particularly, but be aware that you will be charged extra for air conditioning, the use of the fridge and safe, and will also be charged for towel/linen changes - you get nought for nought! That said though the charges are reasonable and the Hostel is very competitively priced.
this hotel is very very elegant and quiet. the suite are very comfortable and nice. good
I liked everything about this hotel. The name says its a hostel but its more than a hostel. The staff are extremely helpful, the rooms were very clean and its location is excellent. I had no complaints to be honest
All of the staff that I dealt with were friendly, helpful and informative and I noticed that they were the same with every client every time. The breakfast is excellent and plentiful and even the machine coffee is good. I had a huge room with a spacious bathroom and would definately return. The shower screen was a little unstable but it was not a problem once I was aware of it.
it is new, clean and in the city center
Location great and staff excellent. After my sister had a fall at Ercolano they went out of their way to help. No complaints at all.
Excellent staff. Very helpful with tours to Amalfi and Capri and orientation to the city. Good access to hotel from train station via bus. Be sure to avoid the taxis. When we arrived they charged us 20E for a 5 minute ride. Just catch the local bus to the Marina Grande. On the way back up from the Marina, it stops 50 m from the hotel. No WIFI in rooms. Have to go out to lobby.
Very cheap for the quality of the hotel . Very central and close to the historical area
Overall good vibe and design throughout. New and clean. Comfortable private room. Great value. Great rooftop terrace. Very reasonable meals offered in the evening. Easy to get to Sorrento by either train or by walking. Good amenities. Got a little noisy at times. Still undergoing some construction projects. Not much selection on TV. Breakfast not very good.
It was accessible to Sorrento and it was very clean. It was too catered for a young crowd and the staff were cold and unfriendly.
Nothing 1.very bad breakfast 2.indifferent hotel staff 3.noise from the street 4.remote from cnter of Sant'Anegllo, not to mention Sorrento or Napoli 5. No receipt after my check-out and payment
We liked the Interior finishings. The rooftop patio was incredible, and the price was very reasonable. We stayed on a single room, so the experience was more like staying in a boutique hotel rather than a hostel. You definetly want some form of transportation as it is not a reasonable walking distance to the main area of Sorrento. The train station is reasonably close, but that can be a hassle
A wonderful convent conversion done with style & immagination with amazing fittings. Has to be seen to be believed .This is a world class hostel with hotel rooms onthe top floor.Excellent housekeeping.food,& staff.nothing too much trouble No
Great hostel/hotel. Great for young travellers on a budget looking for dorm accomodation, but also great ensuite double-rooms for couples - cool design and layout, with some great areas to hang out in. New, clean and very cool. The rooftop chairs and views are well worth lazing around in all day, if inclined. Highly recommended.
