Pros: It is a beautiful place, peaceful, well kept, personnel will do everything for you! Very nice swimmingpool and fantastic pool.
Cons: The food is not so special, small portions, menu good but not so well prepared.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Almost a paradise on earth. Great food and cocktails, amazing lake for swimming of kayaking, swimming pool at night, great villas in the trees, free luxury boat to go to flores. Staff very helpful.
Cons: Few things. Road to get the hotel very steep and with stones. Better to have a suv. Could be more accessible. Toilets downstairs are used as oil storage for the boat. Not very welcoming.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff are amazing, so kind!
Cons: There are ants, despite it being so clean, but this is because it’s a tropical location
10.0 Excellent

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Peter is a Yank who has lived here for 30 years, and has a wealth of local (& international) knowledge, so it was nice to converse in English. He had some great travel suggestions & it was so relaxing when every time I had to meet a bus at a given time, he would take me in his boat to make sure everything went without a hiccup. Breakfast was great - typico or otherwise. Location was a short boat trip across the strait (5 minutes, $1) but it was nice to be away from the hustle & bustle.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel sent a boat to the main island on Flores to pick us up which saved us money and was a lovely way to be checked in. The hotel also dropped us back to the main island the next morning free of charge so that we could collect our shuttle. The views from the hotel are awesome, AND they have hammocks!
Cons: The shower wasn't great as the water pressure was poor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is gorgeous. The hosts are gracious and incredibly helpful. The view of the island is stunning. I only stay here in Flores.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Peter was super nice. The view over the lake is great. Rooms have everything you might need and are neat. Food is really good.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owners and staff are really nice people. Always around to help, get you a drink, book a tour or whatever. They gave us two times a boat ride across because we had to leave really early. Very nice view and athmosphere in the hotel. Would go there again!
Cons: The hotel is across the water from Flores, which gives you a really nice view, and boats cross all day for 5/10Q pp, just something to know. Shower was not always perfect, but that might be universal to Guatemala.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really loved the hosts, who did everything you could possibly think of to make us feel at home. They were really careing and came a few times to make a chat. We felt more than welcome and we didn't want to leave after staying with them for one nigt, but we had a flight to catch. I would definetly recommend staying here!
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent. The staff were very attentative in a nice, discrete way. The hotelowners Peter and his wife cared a lot for your wellbeing-in the same, nicely discrete way. Most parts of the hotel is build up by Peters own hands, and all the good craftmanship give a very special atmosphere to this beautiful, peaceful place. You really feel at home. Not to mention the food, which is freshly made by the best commodities by the cook Ramon, who is a true master of delicately arranging it with a lot of sidedishes. We enjoyed all our wonderful meals at the balcony, overlooking the lake. We strongly recommend this wonderful place, and we will sure be back-hopefully within too long.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we arrived at the airport, our transport was sorted. We took a 3 minute taxi to the waterfront and we were greeted by Peter in his boat who took us across the lagoon to Zapote Tree Inn. From this point onwards we were treated like royalty. Peter and Yolanda organised our trip to Tikal and transport onto Mexico. They made us fantastic breakfast and dinner. The whole experience felt personal and special. The private room was great with a double and single bed as well as great air conditioning and a hot shower. The location is absolutely stunning with beautiful view across the lagoon and stunning sunsets. This was one of our favourite places on our travels and we wish we spent more than one night at Zapote Tree Inn to enjoy more of Flores (it’s more than just Tikal!)
Cons: No complaints, perfect experience
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool is perfect, you get a full view of Flores. Plus, a wonderful tree top view from hammocks above the the hotel.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good location (although everything is close in Flores). Staff were friendly despite their lack of English and our broken Spanish. Clean room and with aircon which was great as it was very hot. Staff let us store breakfast in the fridge.
Cons: We were woken up very early by the building works outside but this is outside of their control.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely place to stay in Flores. Very clean. Also the location is perfect, there is a lovely terrace, and the tenants are wonderful: very helpful and flexible! I recommend this place 100%.
Cons: Nothing: everything was perfect!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The AC, the hospitality, the facilities
Cons: There are construction works at the site so it’s a bit noisy until approximately 6pm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very small place sharing it with the family that owns it. Quiet, great A/C, terrace overlooking the lake. Rosario and Francisco are great hosts, helping with questions and information.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Rosario at the front desk was so helpful and easygoing. Comfy bed. Clean. Good wifi. Two thumbs up!
Cons: Paid nearly 25% tax on top of the price. I lived in Guatemala for nearly 10 years and this is the first time that's happened. Tax is always included in the room cost. I was a bit surprised when it came time to pay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, air conditioned which is a must! Great staff You get what you paid for
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable private room at good price
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, helped well with arranging our tours. Room was very clean and tidy
Cons: I got an electrical shock from the electrical heated shower. Therefore we chose for a cold shower
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A good place to overnight for a day trip to Tikal - gets the job done, the room had AC so that was very helpful. Owner also arranged a taxi for me for the airport in the early morning.
Cons: The shower is luke warm and terrible, The electric heater attached to the shower head has a live wire (I could see the wire burning and got an electric shock when I accidentally touched the shower head while getting out of the shower) Very unsafe and the owner should attend to this.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ownerwas very nice and attentive. Place is sparkly clean and very confortable. Hot shower which is not common around here. We did not use the kitchen but seemed equiped and clean. We could refill our water for free. Saves plastic and money :) !! It was also very qiet as it does not face any traffic street

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Definitely one of the best hostel I stayed in. The hostel has private free of charge boat that picks you up any times you want, just one min away from Flores. Dorm is clean, quite, bed is comfortable, food is great, WiFi works well, private spot for swimming but what makes this place really special is the staff especially the owners. I asked how to get to the market and the owner offer to take me there, showed me around and waited for me to take me back, incredible people. I didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the place, very clean, nice facility. The owner is great, and her family
Cons: It required a boat to get to, have to take a ferry, to mainland.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The place was clean, the A/C worked great in the private room, but the best part was the accommodation of the staff! I changed my plans last minute and asked to arrive a day earlier (I had checked and there was still a private room available). Despite my reservation being non-refundable/non-changeable, they made the adjustment and didn’t charge me! Highly recommend!
Cons: I’m torn about having to take the lanchas across the water...it’s not a big deal, but I did have to wait around 20 min to cross once. You can always pay 5 quetzales for the other boats to take you though. I do think the location was more quiet, since it was away from the main area of town...I didn’t hear any firecrackers or dogs the entire time I was in the hostel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very nice, AC was good, wifi was fast downstairs, bed was comfy, breakfast was tasty, cheap beers, view of Flores was great, nice and quiet place.
Cons: Wifi didn’t really work upstairs, cold showers weren’t the best, hot water would have been nice for the price paid for a private room
7.1 Good
Pros: Very nice location with a private landing dock which is perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Staff is always willing to bring you across the lake (3 minutes) to the centre of Flores.
Cons: The trash can in the bathroom was extremely small and wasn't emptied during our 3-night stay which is not nice considering that you're not allowed to flush toilet paper in Guatemala.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely deck to hang out on, relax and swim in the lake. Also great to be offered free boat rides over to Isla Flores

Pros: Amazing private nature reserve, we saw all kinds of wildlife from our balcony!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nature trails around lagoon ( watch out for crocodiles) Staff helpful and friendly ( and spoke good English which helped) The kids loved the pool
Cons: A couple of bottles of complementary water would have been nice
7.1 Good
Pros: Location, customer service
Cons: In restaurant the food portions are really small, they try to make it seam as a Gourmet type of restaurant but it really isn’t. In the room, there is not much to offer, no tv, no coffee maker, hair dryer, other than that the rooms are confortable.
7.9 Good
Pros: Natural surroundings and lagoon are astonishing
Cons: Restaurant service not good at all; old rooms, albeit fairly well kept.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: A most beautiful location, rooms and services
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room so nice, the hotel, staff, etc.
Cons: Everything was good
7.9 Good
Pros: The views
Cons: I would’ve liked if the hotel had its own transportation and it could use some improvement on the food quality since the price is pretty high. But overall the rooms were clean and the service was good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is beatiful and the stuff so sweet

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazing, very corteous and helpful. The bed was comfortable and we had a great sleep all night. The shower was clean and pleasant. We used the rooftop pool after sunset. As we were leaving with the 6:00 airport shuttle, we asked for packed breakfast and enjoyed our breakfast a lot.
Cons: Our room was on the first floor next the restaurant patio, and when we were going to bed at 8PM there was so much noise from the restaurant that we needed earplugs. Perhaps it gets better at later hours.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and comfy beds. Sunset view from pool was fantastic with nice lounge chairs. I caught up on my sleep here. Only thing needed was umbrellas or covering to make shade as very hot and humid. Pleasant and helpful staff and excellent American breakfast thrown in for free as Oct is the down season. Very small island with friendly locals.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nicely decorated hotel, comfortable and cozy. The restaurant is very good and I recommend it a lot
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Had a wonderful time with the family!
Cons: There is a place real loud close to the hotel, but only on the weekends and they turned the music down around 10:30sh-
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything. The bathroom was immaculate and I loved the colors and decorations. Nice touch with the welcome drink. The restaurant downstairs was good too.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean. The personal it’s very helpful, and the pool has a great view
Cons: They close the bar on the rooftop too soon. I had a complementary breakfast but my two choices were not good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow! The rooftop pool was incredible! Great views from the rooftop bar at sunset too. We loved the comfortable bed and large, hot shower. The complimentary breakfast in the adjacent restaurant was a nice addition. We'll definitely stay here again while in Flores!

7.1 Good
Pros: Beautiful design, great location and breakfast, nice staff.
Cons: Very lowd music until 12.30am from the jext door club. Dirty bathroom in the dorm. Jacuzzi is not hot at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beds are large for singles. The pool and 3 hours of happy hour are amazing. The staff are lovely. The breakfast included was super. The food in the Hoyle itsself is great. It's a perfect location on the lakefront near the other bars and restaurants. There is also a dock right outside that you can jump off into the lake.
Cons: The hotel is Hotel Peten and the hostel is Hotel Peten Express so the hotel rooms didn't come up when we searched for it. They're actually both in the same building using the same facilities so you get an amazing deal by staying in the hostel. We stayed in a 6 bed dorm though and it was very noisy as lots of guest leave at 3 for Tikal so it wasn't a good night's sleep. No window in dorm room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice room good breakfast
Cons: It was kids of cold when it comes to atmosphere
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The place was really nice. Looked more like a hotel than a hostel with dormes.
Cons: A bit pricey
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super Clean. 24hours air conditioning. The staffs are nice and helpful for everything. Good breakfast with amazing view. They prepared for small breakfast box for early tour. That was awesome! The location is super good. Very close to the bus station and just in front of the river. It has nice swimming pool. Just awesome place! Recommendable!
Cons: Nothing. Everything was awesome.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location for sunsets! Loved the pool bar. Met some great people at this hostel and had the time of my life! Breakfast is also a great start in the mornings. Centrally located.
Cons: The dorm rooms are quite small, but I didn't spend a lot of time in there so it didn't detract from my experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The woman at the front desk was always extremely helpful and kind to me! The hotel is in a good location and has it's own pool and restaurant with a great pineapple liquado. They give you little shampoo packets and soap with your towel!
Cons: - They didn't have a lot of pamphlets for things to do around Flores, so I went to Los Amigos hostels to get good tour prices and discover more things to do. The tours provided by Hotel Peten were quite expensive. - Wish they had a female and a male dormitory, but none of the hostels on Flores seem to have this. - Hotel is right next to some clubs, and you can hear the bass in the rooms until very late. It isn't very loud, but you can definitely hear it.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant is amazing and also pretty cheap with great views of the sunset! One of the 3 pools also looks over the edge of the island towards the sunset and goes up to the bar. Place feels like a small hotel which is great, with pretty nice dorms and facilities. The staff are fantastic, and really helped us to pack our dinner up in containers quickly as we had to catch a bus, seriously amazing effort from them when they didn’t need to do it!
Cons: Pool bar stools will rip the skin off of your legs if you aren’t careful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: David at reception was very helpful, very kind with fantastic customer service.
Cons: We liked everything!

Featured amenities include express check-in, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A shuttle from the hotel to the airport is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
6.7 Good
Pros: The pool was nice, as were the public areas.
Cons: The rooms were quite small. Little room to turn around. I don't know if all the rooms are this small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooftop view is just amazing. Location can't get any better than this. The staff and the breakfast available at any time are perfect for early adventures.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, awesome view. The staff was friendly overall and accommodating. Great place to stay in and worth the price. Flores is beautiful and I definitely recommend going if you haven't yet. You have restaurants that are great, you can walk around and enjoy the island of Flores. About an hour and fifteen from Peten Park (Tikal).
Cons: Bed in my particular room was not the most comfortable. We had three rooms total.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We stayed twice. The first time for a longer time and had a fabulous room overlooking the lake with a balcony... that room was absolutely superb. The second time the room was still good and had a small balcony overlooking the street. Still very clean but considerably smaller. This hotel does not do breakfast but lots of good places around at good value. We found the restaurant closest as you go right facing the water front did some really nice breakfast and food in general. Because it does not do breakfast, the hotel concentrates on doing the sleep aspect very well. You can get good (and instant) coffee in the morning in the reception area for free.
Cons: Can't complain at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: 24hrs reception, the rooms and the view!!
Cons: No breakfast available at the hotel.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location in the middle of Flores Rooms well air conditioned Clean
Cons: Put in a room right next to laundry - very loud from very early in the morning Communication awful - emailed the hotel a couple of times beforehand to try to clarify details and had zero response. Only one guy who was there at the end of our stay communicated well with us, helping book a taxi. I injured my knee when I was there and staff offered no help trying to get me to a hospital and a pharmacy - just didn’t seem to care at all. ‘Balcony’ was a fully enclosed room. Not really a balcony. A slight step up from a hostel in terms of room size and quality but not a proper hotel.
7.1 Good
Pros: Balcony on upper floor was great. Comfy chairs and good view of sunset over the lake.
Cons: Not all rooms face the lake, so make sure you request the lake view. The street side can be noisy with yapping dogs. Mattresses and pillows were not that comfortable. Internet was intermittent.

7.9 Good
Pros: Everywhere is close in Flores so location is fine and it’s got a great view of the lake. Bedrooms and bathrooms are clean. Staff are really helpful.
Cons: The laundry service wasn’t working while I was there (but plenty of others nearby) and there were a lot of ants in my room. Also nowhere to fill up water which I find rare in this part of the world!

Pros: This was a nice hotel in a good location for Flores central attractions and for the Mayan ruins at Tikal. The staff were very helpful and booked us a trip to the ruins ahead of our arrival-the trip was fantastic.
7.1 Good
Pros: Straff was very friendly, room was fine and the location of the hotel.
Cons: Our view.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We couldn't fault our time here. We had a room on the terrace with air con & a fan and a good view from the terrace. The location is excellent, right on the water. The staff were always helpful especially with tours & buses. It was my friend's birthday while we were there & they helped me find a good massage therapist and surprised us with a big slice of birthday cake. It's clean and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant was also great. If you want a luxurious hotel then this is not the place but if your after a friendly casual vibe then stay here.
Cons: Wifi didn't work very well in our room but it did work well downstairs.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: - Comfortable beds - Packed breakfast on the day of Tikal tour - Lake view from Terrace - Friendly staff - Clean room
Cons: - We had booked an airport pickup from hotel prior to our visit. But it never arrived. We called the hotel from airport, asking about the pickup but they did not have any answer. - Before arrival, we had booked a packed breakfast for next day's early morning tour of Tikal. But they did not capture that order either. We had to place the order again during check-in. - We had booked a room with lake view but we were given another room on the terrace. When we showed our booking confirmation, they tried to look for a lake view room but none was available. [As a compensation, they offered us a breakfast on our last day, although it wasn't originally included in the room tariff.]
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location in Flores, hot water and great air-conditioning in the rooms. Very nice staff.
Cons: No frills hotel...If you wanted more luxury then this is not the place!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: room spacious, airy and light. beds and pillows comfy. fan and air con good. Shower has good pressure and great hot water.
Cons: . Coffee.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Easy walk to island, and very quite location. Near airport. Clean facility with nice pool. Breakfast included was good.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Not too much. Everything was just fine, but that’s it. It’s functional, but there are much better hotels in the area.
Cons: The room was large but boxy, bit of a cell. The sheets not too comfortable to sleep in.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location, nice pool.
Cons: Staff service a bit sloppy- laundry not done on time, slow service. Pool had powdered chlorine just thrown in, all gritty underfoot. Food in restaurant a bit plain.
7.1 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good. AC was cool. The room was clean. Nice view over the lake.
Cons: Total rate per Booking was quoted in USD which the hotel unfairly converted to Quetzel @ 7.9GQ per usd even though i’ve Showed him the forex rate should be 7.6. Then when I asked to process the charge in USD on my credit card, the receptionist stated there would be an additional 5% service charge on top of the Booking rate.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice service; very clean; good WiFi service; lovely pool; view on Flores
Cons: A bit expensive and a service charge is added to all orders even if you walk to the waiter to order, because he is not coming to you; Flores is a 15-20 min walk away (the places you go for dinner e.g.), but taxis are cheap
7.5 Good
Pros: The Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The WiFi was good. The staff in the restaurant were friendly and accommodating. The food was tasty. The coffee was good in the restaurant.
Cons: - Excursion to Tikal was badly organized and we traveled in an unsafe vehicle which was a scary experience. - There was no hot water in the bathroom - People around the pool were very noisy and our room was close to the pool.

Cons: The hotel is set slightly away from Flores island (a 20 min walk) but it’s easy to get a cheap tuk tuk from outside the property (5q per person). For us the space and swimming pool was definitely worth being a bit further away from the island.

Pros: The owner Maurizio & all his staff were extremely kind and helpful, and went above and beyond to help when we locked ourselves out of our hire car late at night. The setting is also beautiful- we wish we had had more time to just relax by the lakeside in the hammocks & swim in the pool.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff is super friendly and helpful. If you have any problems, just email them and you will have a fast response. The hotel is a family run operation, so everybody really cares about your experience. The location is quiet and peaceful with beautiful lake views. Kayaks are available for free borrowing, perfect for a sunrise ride on the lake. A great place for a family with kids.
Cons: The Internet is spotty at best. Don't expect a signal in your room. The location is far from Flores, a $20-30 for a taxi ride each way. The menu is limited and even more so if you are a vegetarian. There are no touristy restaurants nearby.

Pros: Great views and friendly staff
Cons: The hot water in the shower was intermittently working

Pros: The people on the hotel were very polite and the suite was clean and spacious. It is a very good location were you can walk anywhere.
Cons: Upon closer inspection some parts of the hotel are a little off. Mainly some parts of the hotel are damaged by humdity. But all those things are completely negligable.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Good tv reception in main room tv. No reception in bedroom tv so that offset the positive.
Cons: No amenities. Misleading web. Nothing like pictures. No "boutique" at this hotel. Awful entrance from street. Rooftop setting was very modest and not great view of lake. Shower had no water pressure, one drop at a time.

Pros: The hotel was very private and beautiful. The staff was attentive and amazing. This hotel is a must stay if you're planning a vacation to Isla de Flores.

Pros: Room was clean and comfy and the staff very friendly and accommodating
Cons: Bathroom was quite small making it hard to move around. Air conditioner was working but didn’t keep the room cool making it hard to sleep.

Pros: Absolutely huge room. Well equipped with everything. Air conditioning in the main room as well as the bedroom. Clean bathroom. Great roof terrace. Really excellent location, very close to the lake where you can hire boats.
Cons: The staff weren’t that friendly, I didn’t get a very good welcome. It wasn’t until I checked later that I saw breakfast was supposed to be included in my room rate which I didn’t get. Expensive compared to other places in Flores.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Big room with a fantastic bed, nice territory and tasty breakfast
Cons: The water in the swimming pool was dirty, so we could not swim
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room quality room very clean accessories air conditionning garden and pool area restaurant nice team globally
Cons: hotel team does not speack english even the one at reception which should be at least a minimum
5.0 Okay
Pros: The quality of the beds was really good
Cons: The staff spoke no English at all. The A/C was not functioning properly, the showers were cold, there was no American breakfast as advertised and the music was extremely loud all day. When we tried to check out earlier because it was not what we hoped it was, they did not want to refund any of the money we had already paid through booking, nor did they turn the music down because it was so very loud. This is not a place for foreigners, its more a local event location than a hotel, so unless you like being at other people’s parties, don’t book here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service, the room was clean and comfortable
7.5 Good
Pros: The room is very nice and clean. Very comfortable beds and lining, clean rooms. We liked the breakfast, the only disadvantage is that it takes times for them to set it. They open at 7, but it takes about additional 20 mins until they take the order or prepare the buffet. It’s limiting when you have some things planned at 8 am.
Cons: People at the reception are nice, but they won’t be able to help you with organizing trip to Tikal, neither they have any recommendations of who you can reach out to. If you decide to stay in this hotel, I would recommend having a car. Otherwise it could feel that the service is not very helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the peaceful countryside location away from the nearby towns. HSV was very reasonably priced for such a beautiful environment. Even though it is only a year old, the beautiful hotel was well-built to look and feel like an authentic Spanish style country hacienda. The restaurant food was very good as well. The owners and staff are very friendly and accommodating...and you can keep your room air-conditioned all night long....big bonus! Just an interesting aside...our visit was intended for me and my young adult son too search for his original birth family, from whom he was separated at age 7. The owner, Doña Ingrid, turned out to be the key we needed to locate them. Her connections with nearby local officials led us to "people who knew people"...and we located this family about an hour from the hotel. Ingrid and her husband even drove us to the remote village. Without her involvement, we never would have found the birth family...Muchas Gracias, Ingrid!!!!
Cons: For visitors to Tikal, it is not as convenient as some alternate locations, but it was so much nicer than most hotels in the immediate area of Flores. The price is very reasonable for the style of hotel as well. For people who want to explore more of El Peten than just Tikal, it is a great location with convenient road access.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were the only foreigners
Cons: Great tub, lousy shower
10.0 Excellent

9.6 Excellent

9.0 Excellent
Pros: 10/10 points pool Excellent location Friendly staff
9.4 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was in a very prime location on Isla de Flores with eateries all around! The breakfast that was included was very tasty, but simple. You could tell the staff took everything seriously, the entire facility was spotless and everyone was as helpful as possible! I also want to mention that the aircon was state of the art, I haven't even seen such fancy units in the states.
Cons: While clean and in a prime location, the rooms were quite small and had somewhat of strange smell. While the WiFi was consistent, we found it a little weak...but that's ok, it's nice to get away from electronics on occasion. :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very nice, made everything amazing for a perfect stay. Location is just by the lake with great views, and the pool area is a great added bonus.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very nice pool and restaurant at this hotel! It was perfect on a hot and sunny day. And the view of the lake and location on Flores Island couldn't have been better. The rooms were very basic but had a decent shower and bathroom and an airconditioning unit. We only stayed for one night and had to leave early, so we didn't get to take advantage of the free breakfast. Overall, a nice hotel, pool, and restaurant, but nothing spectacular as far as the rooms are concerned.
Cons: The rooms were a bit small and basic. But had the necessary amenities.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, accommodating staff. The pool was small but clean and had a wonderful view to the lake where you could enjoy the sunset at the restaurant
Cons: Facilities out dated, the hot tub was not hot and smelled like chemicals
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A little piece of paradise - The hotel- the city and their people makes Flores a destination for a fantastic get away. We loved everything about The Casona de la Isla. A must return destination for us.
Cons: The hotel needs some sort of carpeting in their rooms and extra towels - We constantly walked back to their room wet and dripping water-their fault- they have such a fantastic pool- so some towels at the pool will be a bonus to their guest.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The help of Andrew, our host, was very very good; ,my sister and I (enjoyed his answers, his stories (hope and fears) and the help he offered when we did not get our ride back from Tikal. We even received our money back from the extra money we payed a shuttle driver. He arranged Tikal for us, arranged the sunrise tour with quide to Temple 4 (magnificent/ aanrader) and when we could not walk everything the guide arranged an Uber. off course we had to pay but we got so much back in return. The staff (family of Andrew) were all very very nice. We had food talks and conversations with them, We did not have breakfast or dinner, so we good choose and it was made by the house cook (aunt of Andrew) , the meals were very good. Our washes was done by the family, cause we had little time and they made sure we had in return the night before we left. The water in lake Peten was lovely to swim in and the boat rides to the shore a great pleasure. We hope Andrew will visit Holland someday and we hope he likes to stay in contact with us. he has our email. Please Andrew, hope you and your family read the message above. Thank you all, form both of us for everything. Regine and Jantje Tamminga, Holland

5.0 Okay
Pros: Secure parking
Cons: First off, the man at reception couldn’t find my booking because he doesn’t know how to use the computer. There was a lot of confusion over that. My Spanish is limited. We got a room in the end. I don’t know if the bedding had been changed, something told me it hadn’t. you could feel every spring on the mattress. There were ants crawling over the walls. The aircon worked but the part that directs the air was missing, which meant it blew directly in your face all night. It was to hot to sleep with it off.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Friendly stuff
Cons: There no hot water, not very clean. Around the hotel street is dark, agrresive dogs follow you walking in the street.
5.4 Okay
Cons: Only stop there if you have to
5.4 Okay
Cons: There was no running water in the shower for two days.. Gross
7.5 Good
Pros: Good value for price. Good location if just passing through for the night and don’t care about flores. Newly remodeled bathroom (just needed hot water)
Cons: No hot water. Didn’t accept credit card because machine was broken. Room did not get very dark.
7.1 Good
Pros: Room clean
Cons: the air conditioning did not work well
6.3 Good
Pros: It was very convenient in that it was close to the Flores airport. The rooms were fairly spacious and clean with newer appliances. Had air conditioning.
Cons: No hot water at any point. No filtered water for guests to refill water bottles or drink from. Everywhere else we stayed in Guatemala had filtered water for guests to drink, brush teeth with, etc. You had to buy it by the bottle which seems wasteful. The staff we encountered were not particularly helpful or friendly.
