It was in a good neighborhood, was safe and similar luxury, amenities and service as expensive business hotels. The general location is good, but it is a block or two from the retail and restaurant area.
Some of the staff seemed to be very uptight and not as friendly as one who expect out of a Barcelo establishment.
Location and rooms are great, good service except reception on desk because not transfer the information Two issues on reception desk 1) somebody drop off a package for me Thursday I asked to receptionist about my package he sent me two another desk they don't have, Friday morning asked again and they not have my package, but when I called to sender say left my package in reception Friday night time ask again nobody know. So I comeback to NY and not sure if Monday Hotel Return THE Package To THE sender. I not receive my important package. Poor communication
Good helpful staff. Restaurant prices on high side. WiFi fee $ 10 an aberration.
The pool is heated to the perfect temperature. The spa and fitness rooms have many extra amenities. The beds were clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent and professional. McDonald's is nearby if you want an easy meal. The airport shuttle was a great benefit. I had a peaceful stay.
Too close to the airport. You can hear the plane in your room. Some of the staff in the lobby are not friendly. The breakfast buffet was good but the service was poor.
Everyone was friendly and helpful. It doesn't always include free WiFi. Last time I stayed it was $10 extral.
Convenient to the airport. Beds were a bit firm.
Really nice hotel! Customer service amazing!!
Good customer services, restaurants are good, love the breakfast buffet. Recommend!
I loved the room, the restaurants and the overall area. Staff was helpful and always providing more than enough information. Great, great service. I'm staying there again every time I travel to Guatemala. Getting there with traffic can be a hassle...
Grand Tikal Futura is a beautiful hotel, and though more expensive than most hotels in Guatemala, very worth it. I was treated well during my stay and offered assistance with anything I needed. The room was immaculately clean and the beds were firm, though comfortable. Thank you. We did dine in the restaurant on the second floor and were overcharged for a salad we didn't order or eat. When I brought it up with the server (in Spanish), he kept apologizing, but didn't seem to want to correct it until I persisted (we had accidentally already paid him in Quetzales). I do hope the managers allow for some human error, which all servers experience from time-to-time.
The rooms were spacious and the pool was huge. The location of the hotel is great! It is very central to shopping and restaurants. We will definitely return. The waiting time for us to check into our room was lengthy; but, there was a karate convention that weekend, which was held at or right next to the hotel, so they were quite busy. Our reservation was for our choice of either a king bed and sofa bed, or for two double beds. We chose two double beds but they did not have a room to accommodate us; instead we stayed in a room with a king and no sofa bed. We were upset but they did bring in a comfortable rollaway bed- so it turned out very well. For the price, I feel breakfast should have been included.
A very nice hotel but the highlight of everything was how friendly the staff is at all moments. Thanks for everything and continue with the great customer service. I think a few more signs in the parking lot directing you to the elevators of the hotel will help a bit but other than that everything was good.
Hotel was clean and quiet. Breakfast wasn't included with my reservation and it also wasn't worth the price. There's a way better and cheaper restaurant right next door.
The food was good, the problem was I was on business trip and the kitchen isn't 24 hours. The hotel is in dire need of renovation.
Cleanliness and overall luxury and value.
The lobby, and bathroom was beautiful. I wasn't able to reach the front desk overnight.
Nice place. Close to the airpor. My bed was terrible.
Very convenient. Close to the airport. Great shuttle service Beds. Could be a little cleaner.
Atmosphere, Cozy room overlooking the pools, music, rose pedal in all of the ponds, banquet in the ruins of an ancient monastery, excellent food, outdoor sculpture garden high on a hillside, lush greenery everywhere, parrots on perches at the pools.
Nice rooms. Pretty grounds. Eerie music playing. Have to pay for wifi
A very unique experience, excellent service, amazing goof, the most beautiful setting for a relax stay. I Maybe better beds
El precio demasiado alto para el el hotel, habitación pequeña y comida regular
I would absolutely go back again.
The location, the ambience, the rooms and the food were all great. We were all comfortable and enjoyed the stay, the only complaint (if a true complaint at all) is the service speed. We would sometimes order drinks and would not get it till 15 - 20 minutes afterwards. After that, we would rarely see the waiter. Service speed needs a boost. While not horrible to ruin our experience, it could've made it so much better and pleasant.
Everything was great They charge for internet
Me gusto la marimba pero deberian ponerla todos los dias no solo fines de semana Esta un poco retirado y mas actividades para ninos y los precios de las comidas un poco caras yo hiba con ninos y los precios los senti un poco caros
Hands down, the best hotel I have ever visited. The space is breathtaking. And the light incense and music softly playing throughout the grounds adds to the dreamy atmosphere. We had an amazing time and will remember the amazing staff forever. That I couldn't stay longer!
great location, very Clean, great people, and service Gym needs a makeover. Restaurant is over price and the shuttle service should be free.
The hotel rooms are excellent, very spacious. The hotel is very well located and the staff is very friendly.
Please say hi to Marvin, Genaro, and Agustina from me. They made my two day stay a pampering, re energizing experience!
We loved every moment at la casa encantada. Request room #7 if you can - candlelit stepping stones across a small pond in an interior patio lead you to a small but luxurious room. The other rooms were also lovely. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. We can't wait to go back.
I have seen some negative reports about this hotel and did want to offer my own opinion. While the hotel is not a 5 star one (it's small and in a small town), it is definitely a good buy for the dollar spent, with a certain ambiance that the larger hotels simply do not have. It is quiet, clean and comfortable, and within an easy walking distance to good restaurants and the central market place or town square. I would go back again and stay there if I had the time and was back there.
Hotel is in a nice quiet part of town, but within walk distance of everything. The staff and service was great and everything is brand new. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.
This beautiful hotel in Antigua provided helpful service (with inexpensive quick laundry service!), a beautiful setting for breakfast, and brief walk to main parts of town. The only drawback is the wi-fi, as it did not work the entire 4 days I was there, and it was clear from the staff that this was not unusual. Many places in town, however, provided internet service at very inexpensive rates. The rooms are small, but the bed was quite comfortable.
