For years we had the idea to start a B & B and in 2014 we made these plans final, because we now have time and space for it. We like to entertain guests, in a cosy, homely environment yet with enough privacy. The B & B In the back of our garden, you will find two rooms next to each other, very quiet with a private bathroom and toilet. The room has a private entrance from the rear of the house, which also has a large garden (35 m deep) with several private corners and seats. In the room you will find a double bed 160×200, a large desk, two chairs, a flat screen TV, a comfortable chair, storage, mini fridge, coffee / tea r. Of course we have fast internet and Wi-Fi at BnB-Hoofddorp. We offer a laundry service and we have an iron/ironing board. Breakfast is NOT included in the price. You can order this extra 10 euro for one and 15 euro for two persons. We generally serve breakfast in our cosy kitchen or when fine weather on the covered terrace. We serve a continental breakfast with Dutch influence. We also offer additional features f.i. free drinks and snacks, we can provide transport to or from the airport/station at a reduced price. We can offer you a private sightseeing tour. You can use our bicycles; There is extensive information about the environment, public transport, Amsterdam, Haarlem and other surrounding towns present. Offering free bikes, B&B Hoofddorp is located in Hoofddorp. Free WiFi access is available. The room will provide you with a terrace, a minibar and a seating area. Complete with a refrigerator, and coffee/tea making facilities. Featuring a private bathroom with a hairdryer and bathrobes. You can enjoy garden view from the room. Other facilities offered include laundry facilities. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including cycling. The property offers free parking. The bed and breakfast is 2.1 km from Hoofddorp Station and 2.4 km from Claus Event Center. Schiphol Airport is 5 km away.

We got to store our luggage for a few hours after checking out which was extremely convenient.

Cons: Temperature controls don't work very well - the room gets very cold at night even though I set the temperature to 70 Fahrenheit.
The toilet and shower design are fun and just fine for a single traveler. When traveling with a partner, there "tube" designs dont provide any privacy, especially for the toilet. Perhaps adding a fan or some ambient noise to drown out toilet noises could help keep the mood romantic, hahaha!

The selection of TV channels could be improved.

Cons: Spotty shuttle service on Weekends due to mismanaging the requirement to transport many guests. I waited 90 minutes for the shuttle that transports folks every 30 minutes and after the third missed shuttle because there were more folks than seats, I spent 30$ on a taxi to "shuttle" me a few miles to the airport hotel....all this after calling them and they said they'd provide a ride - never happened so that's how I waited 90 minutes versus half that time before taking a taxi ....seemed understaffed

Cons: It is a very full hotel so I had to wait from 9 am until 12:30 pm to get into a room. Check in is officially 2 pm, but I was willing to pay extra since I had flown all night. There simply was not a clean available room until 12:30 pm. Understandable but unfortunate.
