The staff at Schiphol were awful! They were misinformed about what cards they can accept and when this was pointed out to them, they became rude and aggressive. When we asked for the name of the person serving us, he said he was not obliged.

I have ask to pay in USD, they sale yes but processed in Euros. Warning message on the car screen. No one check before No information about the car. At return I asked a document to prove “good reception” they said you will receive an email within 10 minutes. But not

All was pretty good besides the amount of money needed to pay for Insurance. I paid 65% of the renting cost for Insurance so the whole deal was very expensive

Car was not available although I got a booking CONFIRMATION from Sixt/Kayak. When at the counter, the employee told me it is not a confirmation but merely and "agreement" that the customer can go to the counter. Car proposed was over 2x inital cost. I have NEVER ever had to pay extra when upgraded because the original class was not available and I travel a lot. Insurance was insane at 45 Euro/day. I ended booking with Avis, they had a car and honoured their quote. Not the first time I am having issue with Sixt and will try to stay away from them.

Pros:

The pick up agent is slow and unfair. She charged us for 2nd driver without our consent. Also, it took her over one hour to complete the process yet our pick up time started as soon as we talked.

Cons:

The pick up time should be from the time we got the key, not from the time we were at the signing desk.

Cons:

Price for an additional day was absurdly high. Van had dents all over it.

Pros:

Car was what we expected and we were able to get in and out of the Avis counter pretty quickly. At the end, we dropped off the keys in the dropbox, which was convenient. Drop-off is 24/7.

Cons:

When I arrived, the car I booked wasn't available. The car they replaced it with was too small for our group, so we were stuck cramped in a tight space and having to shuttle back and forth for our whole trip. I asked for full insurance coverage and only received basic coverage. Now they say there is a small scratch on the bumper and have charged 850 euros to my credit card for the damage. This has been an absolute nightmare.
