Sneaky company (rip-off). Unfriendly staff. Dirty
Pros: The car was new (but smelled strongly of cigarettes. Didn't seem like they tried very hard to remove the smell.)
Cons: Understaffed, so ridiculously long wait to get your reserved car. Unfriendly staff-- no smile, no conversation etc. I was asked if I wanted an additional driver, my husband, and I said Sure. With every single rental company I've ever rented from and there have been MANY, it's rarely costed additionally fit your spouse to be an additional driver, but if it did, I was told. I wasn't told it would be an additional $10/day, and when you sign, it's one of those credit card machines that has nothing for you to read when you sign. Ended up costing me an additional $60. I was given two different "Estimated charges" bills and they are very tricky about how they present the bill (looked like one was an estimate of what the total cost would be if I brought the car back without gas.)
When I returned the car, I realized I had been charged for my husband being an additional driver and the one girl working said she was unable to change it, but that it was standard to charge for additional drivers. She said I'd have to deal with corporate if I wanted to be reimbursed.
Corporate was a joke. They gave me the run around, told me to call the office from which I had rented the car (which gave me a "this voice message system has not been set up yet" recording.) Ultimately a very blunt customer service agent told me I was stuck with the extra charge and to basically deal with it. I told her that they had sneakily gotten my $60 but they'd lost a customer for life, as well as potential customers in my friends and family. They were fine with that. Don't rent from them!!!!
