Very good rooms, good breakfast, near the rail way station near the rail way station, difficult to open the windows at night, a little bit noizy
Good seafood restaurants around. Opposite train station but so difficult to drag luggage up to the platform. Not much to see,one night here should be enough for the whole Scilla!
it's so close to the seaside that you could dive into directly from the balcony
convenient to the port in Reggio Calabria the staff spoke no English
Friendly and generous staff. Difficult to find good restaurants around but the best to continue my trip on ferry,it's just 100 meters away from the port. Poor surroundings,no restaurant at all. Taxi from train station ripped me off with 20 €. because if by bus, I got to walk with heavy luggage.
The room itself was great
close to harbour not enough info from desk re bus numbers, timetables of museums etc
The manager, Saverio, was absolutely excellent (and speaks very good English). Nothing was too hard and always helpful. The breakfast was one of the best we've had in 6 weeks. Room was spacious and very clean. A little tricky to find, but our Tom Tom did well. Free parking is outside the hotel and sometimes it was difficult to get one but we always managed.
The staff was multi-lingual, very friendly and professional. The hotel was clean and comfortable. It was also close to the start of the promenade that went alongside the water. The breakfast in the morning was very good. We liked this hotel so much that we have since stayed at it again.
the rooms were spacious and it was within walking distance to the station and ferry the shower wasn't attached to the wall and wobbled when being used. It also took some time for the hot water to come through. The receptionist did't seem to know much English and couldn't give specific directions on where to find things in town.
The room was very roomy with a large bathroom and clean. The staff were very helpful. No internet access. Not in a very nice area.
I answered to this question in in question 1 :) No
Close to our choices of places to see Advertised free wi-fi did not work on floors 3 and up and required us to use our laptop in the lobby at night.
mostly we liked the position of the hotel with an astonish view of see and mountains then the staff was very gentle and efficient keeping everything nice and clean. The breakfast was good especially for the children(except the coffee for the adults!!) the coffee!!
Nice view. Good staff. Clean room. And impressive circumstance atmosphere. Hotel staff helped us to carry the luggage though parking area was apart from the hotel.
Amazing location in a very cute town, huge room with fantastic sea and town view and with a balcony, the whole hotel and the room was very clean, newly renovated, decorations are minimalistic and stylish. Very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. Good price and quality match. Breakfast was rather poor, only coffee and sweet cakes available. Noisy laundry personnel since 8.00 in the morning. Also, there was no warm blanket on the bed, only the thin bed cover, however, not a problem if the weather is warm.
Picture perfect. Location is great and hidden. We had a 14 yr old and a 10 year old with us and they loved it as well. A beautiful bed and breakfast. No complaints
Great location and great price. The breakfasts really needs improvement which consisted of pre-made coffee and sweet biscuits. No excuse for lack of fresh coffee in italy plus some selection of savoury items (eg bread, cheese, proscuitto, etc).
We had a wonderful room overlooking the ocean. Scilla is a pretty little fishing village with wonderful people and the restaurants serve delicious food. Great value for the money!
We enjoyed the fresh and tasteful remodel of a beautiful old building. The seaside view was extraordinary. It was closed on our arrivl and difficult to find. All worked out beautifully.
Staff was very helpful. Liked the location. The restoration of the bed and breakfast was done very well. Small balcony with the room had a great view of the sea. The B&B even had a lift!!
Aldo, the owner of Le Piccole Grotte was extremely nice and helpful. He runs a nice establishment in a quaint beautiful seaside town in Scilla, Calabria, Italia. The room was very quiet and comfortable. I slept very well there and the views from the windows were pretty. It was tough to find and is a bit of a walk from the train station. There was nobody at the front desk when I got there and a local lady had to help me find the person who was on duty. But I eventually found him and had a nice stay.
the manager was very helpful, the place was interestingly frunished and decorated.Because it is impossible to bark closely, the use of an electric buggy by the hotel was a necessary facility.
the cleaness, no noise in rooms and relaxing a bit far by car to care the luggage because u cant entry by car near the hotel
The view from the room The WiFi did not work in the room
Well appointed rooms and a very good restaurant on the top floor overlooking the straits of Messina. The atmosphere is that of a typical business or conference hotel, there were two conferences going on while we were there. Parking a car on the streets around the hotel is impossible. The hotel has an underground garage for a limited number of cars. However the access is not for the faint hearted... The garage as noted above
the quality of the rooms , the fact it was new. very very very business oriented. And the pool is "decorative"!
Nothing to save! The reception was cold. We had to manage with our luggage and no help. The night was a nightmare. There is a restaurant on the roof and iron stairs to go to it. People made noise late at night and despite our demand the reception did nothing. Moreover this hotel has no charm: it is cold, unpersonal, with poor breakfast and expensive!
the hotel is new, big clean rooms, good breakfast, very friendly and very helpful staff - overall wonderful stay in Reggio 1) our room was without balcony - no place to dry swimming suits or similar 2) weak hairdryer 3) if they had own beach (even a small one) this would be a perfect place:)
Staff very willing to help and provide the necessary to make stay enjoyable. Very quiet and peaceful hotel.
I was going to Reggio Calaberia and was looking for a quality hotel. It was located near the ferry to Sicily, the train terminal and the heart of the city. It was great.
Location, room and breakfast were good. Definitely one of the best hotels for this city.
Really confortable, nice view, on Sicily side, kind staff.
The hotel was clean and modern and well located. A bit difficult for parking on arrival but there was parking available underneath the hotel for an extra fee.

everything about hotel was good. especially the shower. it is great to be able to have a nice clean showere, that is roomy after travelling for a while
bathrooms were excellent. Close to the port for transfer to Messina. very noisy
The staff was very helpfull and the hotel was evry clean and nice.
dinner and proximity to the train station
This is an excellent Class A hotel, although Villa San Giovanni offers little reason to stay there, especially on a holiday. The hotel is located across from the stazione and ferry docks, easily visible and only a short walk. Breakfast buffet is especially good.
As a backpacker travelling by train and boat, very easy to locate as you arrive, also in the evening.
The staff was extremely helpful in arranging dinner reservations and transportation for us. They were helpful in providing ferry schedules and ticket information. The location for easy access to the trains and ferries cannot be beat.
Please write at least 15 wordsGenerally comfortable staff were attentive in general but there were no English speakers on duty suprising for an hotel close to a ferry port very handy for port facilities c A bit impersonal c
A comfortable hotel with reasonable facilities given it's size. The spa/pool centre next door was good although there was an extra cost to use this. We liked the pizzeria 10 mins walk from the hotel and the Le Vecchie Mura steak (and everything else) house even closer, but set out of sight of the road. The road outside was quite noisy occasionally due to young 'motorists' and their music. The nearby lake side area of Ganzirri could be beautiful but is spoilt by be very dirty and frequently jammed with traffic; none of this is the hotel's fault however.
Very friendly staff with some English spoken. No Restaurant in building but arrangement with good establishments very close to Hotel.
Very nice Hotel, clean rooms, very nice pool and spa, pleasant staff, However you need to pay extra for the use of the Pool and Spa not mentioned in Web site or by staff until checkout. This is a bummer as you get charged hefty sums. This pissed us off, Beware.... However you need to pay extra for the use of the Pool and Spa not mentioned in Web site or by staff until checkout. the stuff was nice and kind' helping with information needed breakfast was good although lacking of veggies of any kind
Pleasant staff , good service , parking , some rooms are really nice lack of a common use computer for travelers ... most other hotels had one on my trip
Overall a nice hotel think best is in summer time , verry nice garden reception and quite nice personal
despite advertisement, no wireless internet access available,
The location was ok. It wasn't anything like online. We got stuck in a room not even on the site. I was looking for a romantic get away for 2 days and we got...the smallest cheapest room. We asked for an upgrade...it wasn't comfortable at all...it was smaller.
If I have known that the hotel was so far situated from Messina, I would not have choosen it. My gps refused the nr 1965 in messina, and I had to ask many times some peope before I found the hotel
