All of the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. the rooms were immaculate and as you entered you were hit with a pleasant fresh smell. Service was excellent and always willing to please. Beds were extremely comfortable. Hot snacks were always available in the lobby for guests. The breakfast was adequate and plentiful; however the eggs were often overcooked and dry.
very clean excellent service very helpful & friendly staff
Rooms, clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff, location is great with good restaurant next door, etc. No pool, Breakfast limited for me - restricted diet (diabetic)
We went on a tip to NYS Finger Lake Wine Trail, This hotel is located right in the middle of both lakes and a short drive the the Waterloo Premium Outlet Mall. So when the Wine Trial Closed at 6 pm we got something to eat and headed to the Outlet Mall until they closed at 9pm. The rooms were a little hot so we had to turn on the AC in February in NYS. After that we had a good night sleep.
Great location. Nice facilities.
Location Very old facilities
The room was very spacious so was the bathroom. Customer service was great at the front desk and at the restaurant. The view would of bee pretty but there was construction going on but it was still nice to look out to the lake during the sunset. My husband and I were very happy. If the bathroom had a fan.
Loved the View of Seneca Lake from the Room & the Proximity to daughters College. Also can walk to downtown & along the lake as their constructing a new walkway which will be lovely when finished. The Room stated two Queen Beds, these were not Queen they were Double. The mattress was so sunken & broken down that we had to sleep with a pillow between us so we would stop rolling into each other! The beds are too small for two adults & our sleep was terrible which is the most important aspect for me when choosing a place to stay. Otherwise it would have gotten a higher rating. Also Bathroom floors need a deeper cleaning.
Great value for location. Water for tea was always Luke warm, never hot. Staff seemed a bit confused or absent at times.
Convenient location to finger lake activities. Asked for an hour extension to check out and was told that was not possible. Have never had that refused before.
Excellent location Good value Decent restaurant
Beds were comfortable. Pool was a huge disappointment! It looked like an oversize hot tub. Room still wasn't cleaned by 3pm. Had to go ask for clean towels. Thought we had read there was a continental breakfast but there was nothing.
The continental breakfast was about the best I have experienced at a hotel.
I contacted the front desk proud to our 5+ hr drive. They knew who I was and said they would be open 24 hrs so whenever we arrived our room was ready. When we finally checked on I was pleasantly surprised to find a large, clean room waiting. The bed was comfortable, bathroom spacious and CLEAN. We stayed 2 nights and housekeeping was excellent. I think the only thing I didn't like was there was no indoor pool lol. Other than that we would be more than happy to stay again
Clean, Cost, In town. Better than some of the other places I stayed. The outside and around the building was not all that inviting. Noise from the floor above kept me awake.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable at a great price.
This is one of those hotels where, if you're not expecting everything luxury, you'll be quite happy. The rooms are clean and well-lit. You won't get double sinks and acres of counter space in the bathroom, but the shower is nice. The toiletries supplied are basic, but they work! (If you absolutely require top of the line toiletries, bring your own!) And the rough towels are a bonus: they'll exfoliate as you dry off. Save money on the hotel room and skips the next spa appointment! Win-win. I liked the room decor and the lighting in the rooms as well. Very comfortable reception area, too. It's not right in the heart of town, but close enough. The breakfasts at most mid range hotels are limited and getting skimpier. If they haven't recently purchased fresh fruit, you'll be presented with a bowl of desiccated oranges. Otherwise, you'll get just above bad bagels, barely drinkable coffee, an array of cereals to cause blood sugar spikes & plunges and nothing hot (not really even the coffee.) You can make do with yogurt, english muffin and ???? If you're on a budget, you'll stay alive doing this. If you have a bit of extra cash, try Opus downtown where the coffee is fantastic and the breakfast foods are fulfilling and delicious.
Clean, modern room A little small.
Vary the breakfast menu a bit more
Easy in & out. Free parking and Wireless Multiple electric sockets in room that were accessible. A staff member stayed up late to be there when I arrived at 2 am. Didn't have a functional desk. TV was very small. Airconditioner was a little noisy
The room was clean and pretty comfortable. It was quiet and the staff was helpful. The shower needed more water pressure and room was a little tight.
We have stayed here for the last 5 years when we visit family in Auburn. We have always been comfortable and happy with our stay. The location is very convenient and accessible. The facilities are starting to need updating. We had to change rooms during our stay because of repairs being made. It would have been nice to have a room assigned for the entire stay that would not have required us to change rooms. The staff made the room change smooth and accommodated our needs.
We liked the bathroom and restaurant. Nice and clean facility. Location was a little awkward to get to and farther then we expected from attractions.
Paying fot breakfast and eggs always cold. Bananas only one day. Server was grumpy especially in contrast to the exceptionally great people at thr desk and for the rooms. Only three sets of towels so had to ask for more everyday. Shower was so weak i could barely grt hair rinsed....while water pressure at tub was qutie strong. No fan in bath.
Owners were very accommodating. Certainly not luxury accommodations but adequate. Staff could not have been nicer.
Nothing at all wa as it appears from the kayak postings of descriptions or pictures of the rooms. We had roaches and bugs bugs I've never even see before in our room. Sheets were filthy and not clean at all nor were the pillows. The heater was an annoying Chinese torture dripping sound all night long an couldn't sleep. We actually were suppose to stay 3 days and only stayed one night. We booked another room at a different hotel for the remaining of our stay.
Location. Close to Cayuga Lake and decently priced. My room overlooked the indoor swimming pool. As it is summer there was a lot of families in the hotel and consequently a lot of kids swimming until late at night. Because it is indoors the noise in the swimming pool facing rooms is unbearable. The next door a staff member woke me up at 8 o'clock and told me that they had complaints about a loud tv in my room. I never even switched the TV on. The I ask you with tears in my eyes; What is the point of following up the complaint the next morning? You will not stop the noise so you aren't helping the person making the compliant and you can't verify if the complaint is valid.
The room & the bathroom were large and clean. The reception staff gave full attention to our requests. I believe we got a good value for our money.
The hotel has an early 80's feel and the many of the rooms open into the indoor pool area. There was very little natural light and the pool area was noisy all day llong. Request an outside facing room if available if this would concern you.
accessibility to other places
convenience and cleanliness, breakfast food choices. a bit expensive for the region
was very clean and great service
Staff was less than friendly at original attempt to check in about 2:15. Told rooms not ready until later because they were so busy with four wedding parties. When I did come back to check in about 3:30 they had plenty of rooms but also a long line checking in. Took a half hour to get to check in. Only one person on the desk despite knowing they were going to be busy. Breakfast was ok, but again the staff was not really friendly
Kathe, our hostess was very accommodating. We told her would would not arrive until around 11 and she still waited up for us. They have 2 dogs which were not a problem. Our two daughters actually loved ogling over them. Breakfast was great and Kathe provided helpful travel suggestions which enhanced our trip.
Clean room. Nice staff
Big bed, clean sheets and towels, no nonsense accommodations for half the cost. A good selection of television channels and free Wi-Fi. It did not feel like being at a cheap hotel. it was a solid deal
Clerk that checked myself and others Tuesday evening , Aug. 11, was excellent. Later on that evening she solved two guests problems on WiFi. breakfast not good and area too small.
They changed the door lock before we checked out
Price and location is good. Bathrooms are pretty gross. Water backed up in drain. New "clean" towels had dirty stains. Outdated rooms. Old small box style televisions. No HBO as advertised.
Location convenient No coffee machine in room
Hotel was fair for the price...it was quiet, could not hear people in the next room which was nice...staff was kind... Hotel was old and needed updating...continental breakfast was sparse....not much food to begin your day with...although the waffle maker was nice...
location was OK to what we was doing in the area. two ice machines in the building did not work. the air conditioner in the lobby where they served the continental breakfast did not work and it was warm outside and inside. bathroom did not have any shelves or counter with the sink so their was not anywhere to put your toiletry case to shave or shower. very outdated but rooms was clean.
a place to sleep
