it was a new hotel with big clean bathrooms and rooms. the breakfast buffet was great. many options + lots of fresh fruits. the location was not ideal... the hotel is not located close to main highways. when looking at the maps the mileage to all must see beaches and city's was closer that staying in i.e. Lecce (great city)... the reality is that Lecce is further but has a network of highways that reduces your travel time at least by 1/2 the time.
The modern rooms plus good breakfast
Just everything. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Free parking garage, free wi-fi and free bicycles. Nice breakfast up to 12:00 so one can take a morning sunbath at a nearby beach before breakfast to build up an appetite. You need to renew your wi-fi account (however free) at the reception every 8 hours for some reason :)
Everything was perfect about the hotel just the comments below let it down but they were minimal. The pillows were not nice and the doors banged alot during the night but we mentioned it and they are to rectify this in the near future
Free wifi. Free parking. Nice staff. No restaurant. Location... could be better!
Everything was absolutely perfect. The hotel seemed to be designed from the user point of view and every details. And the staff was frendly and enthusiastic. The only point I would improve is the capability to force a lower temperature. Even if in October, a little bit of air conditioning could make the night more confortable.
in this Hotel you have all what you need. The team is perfect. The breakfast is very good. Internet is no Problem. The car is in a garage.
Great hotel, great rooms,,would recommend it to anyone, friendly staff and great value for money!!
The staff were lovely and most helpful a charming little village away from every thing. Katia is a delightful young lady and a pleasure to deal with. There is not much to do in the way of entertainment but if you emmerse yourself in the local village it was great Directions it was hard to find and is a little way out of Lecce, But the rooms were lovely and clean and the one we stayed in was a reasonable size but not huge. Katia Directed us to a beautiful restaurant within walking distance which was fantastic (they speak no English)!!! The Tannery itself was interesting and the renovation has been done to a very high standard.
I liked this place because it also had a museum and very interesting history behind it. The hotel also had modern touches, which I liked. The breakfast was poor. Could of been better.
This hotel is really nice! The rooms are very cute, the person in charge of the breakfast is very kind. Everything is very clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you intend to do a trip in Puglia. Maglie is very close to Otranto, Lecce and the south, so very convenient. The hotel location is also very convenient as it close to the main shops street. It was much better than I expected!
very friendly staff, nice & clean room, generous breakfast
We enjoyed the nice ambiente of the hotel and the very friendly/helpful service of the staff (esp. From Katia)
Location to the centre of town was good. The quirkiness of the hotel was interesting being part of an old roman building. Difficult to find as street is not shown on sat nav and the hotel is not signposted in the town. No facilities at the hotel other than breakfast and there were no local bars near by for a drink after a meal.
Staff was really interested and helpful. Beautiful location in the old centre. Apartment are located in an old tannery with some typical elements still remaining. Not easy to find good restaurants in maglie.
Staff was extremely nice and made always extra effort to make us enjoy our holiday. Room was wonderful - a bit different setting than previous hotels we have stayed in.
Having no half or full board.
staff are kindly. breakfast is late. internet cannot available.
Stayed 3 nights in August 2010 for an average of 180€/night breakfast included. Very nice modern hotel ideally located in Corigliano d'Otranto in the heart of the Salentino peninsula. 2-stories suites are clean and spacious with a queen bed, a sleeper sofa, a dining table, large closets, a full-sized bathroom with shower. Bar fridge & tv. Free wifi on request. Facilities include a restaurant for breakfast & half-board dinners, a large swimming pool, a magnificent garden, and a horse center. The staff are extremely helpful and speak good English.
Unforgettable experience, altough it is not perfect (what do you expect from a building from the 18th century), the enviremont, the pace, the friendly staff and offcourse the fantastic kitchen blowed any critic away. For us a small paradise!!!!
Countryside location, great pool. We were astonished by the beautiful hotel site. It looked like in a fairytale! We had to pay for the towels in the pool area and it was required to buy bathing caps for use in the pool. The breakfast and dinner was good, but the catering staff did not appear extremely motivated.
Excellent. We were treated very well from the moment we arrived until we left Superb room and surroundings Difficult to find even with GPS,should have sign posts from the town
Masseria Appidé is a beautiful and peaceful hotel in the middle of Salento's wonderful countryside. Excellent position between Otranto, Santa Maria di Leuca and Gallipoli for those who wish to discover the delights of Salento in few days by car. The hotel is so clean that you have to wear a swimming cap in the pool...
The hotel staff was extremely helpful, professional and polite. The Masseria is amazingly beautiful and charming and the location is perfect as it's located few kilometers away from any of the Salento's most interesting villages and towns. Unfortunately, our bathroom was quite old (I would say about 20 years...) and the shower had a carton instead of a door. However, both room and bathroom were very clean and tidy. The breakfast was good but not very rich in quantity and quality. We were expecting typical products but a part from the cakes and the pastries, the rest (jams, honey, marmalade, yogurt and juices) were from mass distribution.
The room was spacious, impressive murels on the ceiling. Nice pool area but not many chairs if it had been very busy & no umbrellas. Food very good and staff especially on reception very helpful & informative. Beautiful buildings. As it was isolated, it was disappointing there was no bar/lounge area serving all types of drinks hot & cold drinks & snacks other than crisps during the day & evening. During the day it would have been nice to have a sandwich & latte but there was nothing available. Also nowhere to relax after dinner.
